Well I’m dissatisfied to say the least. Especially in an educational facility. I went to the bookstore, to go purchase a book that I need in a timely manner since the class is beginning and I was told there was only an E-Book after making my way to the campus. Now I found out that there in fact is a printed version sold at the store in fact as I originally thought. So now I have to make another trip to this store with very limited time to do these type of errands as a self employed single mom. Talk about making education more difficult to achieve due to lack of professionalism. All of this because there were a lot of people in the store, my book obviously was difficult to find since the second worker in this book store turned me away and simply seemed to give up helping me even try to find this book(isn’t that their job) ultimately due to too much activity in the store. Im not impressed this is how staff operates here, and now because someone that is employed and paid at this store didn’t do their job properly I have to again, commute to said store in hopes of finding it. I can’t help but think if it is this hard for a very committed and motivated person like myself to want to even continue attending this school to further my education, since simply purchasing books from this campus is difficult enough, how hard it must be in a pandemic for someone fresh out of high school to succeed in such an environment. Very unimpressed with employees here. Obviously something is wrong with the hiring process and that alone can say a lot about the program as a whole.

Pierce college is new and beautiful. It's in the heart of the West San Fernando valley on Victory and Mason near Woodland Hills. There is lots of parking (at least in the evening) and the teachers are professional and knowledgable. California really gets it right with their community college system. From fully online registration to coordinating classes and schedules with other colleges in the district to connecting their curriculum with universities so you are adequately prepared. The tuition is affordable, there are all sorts of free programs from free healthcare to tutoring, etc. I decided to go back to school after earning a BS in Business Finance. I am taking the Programming for Computer Science certificate program. I'm surprised to see how many "older" students there are with similar ambitions. It feel so good to be here.

I’m a student at Pierce college and I want to just thank the bookstore for always going above and beyond to make sure that I have the materials needed for my classes. Candy is the manager and she is amazing! I appreciate how she went above and beyond to help me find the access codes to purchase for my book online. The process isn’t always easy using Pearson or redshelf online. It can be hard finding the correct ebook/course materials but she made a way for me. She even contacted me on a Saturday, communicated and made sure I had exactly what I needed. It’s people like Candy who actually care about students and loves what she does. I appreciate your help so much!

Hello, thank you so much for your help. Candy got in contact with me and resolved every single issue that I had with the bookstore. She was able to accommodate and address every problem that I had. She helped me get my books and everything is straightened out now and I won't be falling behind in class anymore. I was in the store today and she did seem like she was managing everyone and barely had time to talk at the beginning, but she ended up being really helpful. She's a pro multitasker. I want to thank you for taking your time to look into my situation and help me out, I really appreciate the time.

I went to the bookstore on Friday with my daughter. There was this rude individual who rang up my items. He had a really snobby attitude and was glaring at me and my child. I asked for a bag. I could purchase a 5 dollar bag. Not a 10 cent bag. He could see that I was struggling and kept repeating himself just staring. Just because I have a child does not mean I need to be reminded twice. He kept touching my items especially my red bull, it was a really weird uncomfortable interaction. Now I know if me and my daughter want a snack don’t go on a Friday when that guy is working.

Extremely overpriced. It's abusive honestly to make these products as overpriced as they are, considering they're selling to community college students and considering that some professors ask for things that are going to be found exclusively at the store. Do not come here unless it's an emergency and you need something quickly. Buy your things elsewhere or online unless you want to be ripped off. This goes ESPECIALLY for books.

Everything is overpriced! They doesn't honor their own words - I couldn't return the book that I didn't use and bought two days before, even it says on receipt I can return it within 5 days! There is a better alternative to this store that has all the books and I can return everything there! So I will never, ever, EVER go to the pierce bookstore!

Pierce College Bookstore usually has all required and optional texts and materials for classes. They carry paper, pens, testing sheets, etc. I was gappy to be able to pick up a replacement phone charger at a reasonable price. They also have a surprisingly expansive variety of snacks snd drinks. The cashiers are all super friendly and patient.

I haven't started classes, yet, which is a shame. I have heard their instructors are superlative. My rating has been registering being an absolute nightmare. The lone star are for the people who acted in my favor. Appreciated. The lack of stars is the fact the process, system and communication is a mess.

You have to wait in line to get your books. You cannot just go get them because people buy them all and then resell them for a higher price. What is this world coming to? I can't blame them but they only had one person getting books for you and there was no signage saying anything about a line.

Loved it long line tho but other than that great i mean u can't do anything about lots of people in two lines with 4 cashiers now can u so five stars keep at it cashiers u gottit.

Just went to buy textbooks for Winter 2020 and it just after New Years how wonderful (sarcasm). THIS is only a review for now let's see if things are working in about 15 minutes

Candy, the manager is really nice and helpful,works with the distributors to get prizes to give away, run much better than la valley college bookstore - sister college of Pierce

No one answers the phone during business hours. Trying to return a book I mistakenly ordered but no one answers. Tried writing as well--no luck so far.

Was still pretty much closed due to covid when I visited. Was able to get some coffee which is all I was looking for but most things were unavailable.

The staff was very helpful! I had to contact them through email, and they were all very patient and welcome to help my situation with my textbooks!

Only had positive outcome my grandson first year at Pierce College always found someone that was willing to help and guide us through the process.

Its okay, they need to restock the snacks and drinks. And have more ppl on register when they know the first feww weeks of class are busy.

usually pretty well stocked. its hard to be happy about spending money on text books but this place has necessary last minute items too

Simple and efficent bag check in and check out system, make sure ti plan well it gets packed during the first weeks of class

Staff is always nice even when under a lot of pressure from being crazy busy. The prices are extremely high though.

Doesn't have the book in time for the beginning of the class. You have one day to return for less than full price.

The store was in disarray and it looks like they are remodeling or something? There was a long line for checkout.

Lots of textbooks and school supplies, but lines and book availability can get ridiculous at certain times.

The Pierce College cafe take so long to help 1 person. They really need 2 cashiers, to get the place going
