My mother and I love the food here, as a former employee which I was there when the restaurant open. We came to eat 3 times in one week. It has a major downfall. The A/C was blasting which in part makes you feel so uncomfortable. My mom had to asked to turned it off. They complied but with an attitude. The white lady with long brown hair which I assume was the manager had a very discussed look as if she was doing a favor to us to eat there. She presented herself as bother by our request. On the last time which was Friday August 30. The restaurant was completely empty, very cold again. They turned down the a/c, we were almost finished with our meal and enjoying our coffee when suddenly the Cold air came out blasting, our coffee got cold right away and my mother starting getting sick! The temperature out was below 70! We left the restaurant immediately. My mom which is a famous barber in an Elite barber shop in downtown Chicago and eats in more expensive restaurants swore to never eat here again not to tell her customers who live in the area. She used to tell people about it. Management does not care about customer service. Woman only care about the money we spent there. The restaurant was completely empty on Friday for hours while all the others around had lines outside. What a shame. The only one person who treat us with outmost respect and service was the Black gentlemen, he should work in a better place!!
I recently visited Pizza Capri in Lincoln Park, and was completely flabbergasted by the customer service. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly by the guy upfront. We wanted to dine in, and were told we had to pay upfront first which was no problem. So it came time to order drinks they only have cans of pop, coffee and iced tea. Well, they keep all the cans of pop in a clear refrigerator so you can pick what you want, and one of the employees was sitting on the counter blocking my view, and when she saw I was struggling to see she rolled her eyes and then moved. I'd like to add that I'm sure she is a nice enough girl but someone with her temperament should probably work in a job where she doesn't need to interact with people. She was cold and unfriendly. Also, if you ever eaten there you know its fairly small... I literally heard the host say the f word at least 3 times, and make comments about how bored he was. In my opinion that is totally unacceptable. The pizza was good, but not enough to make me go back. In conclusion if your customer service expectations exceed what you would expect at McDonalds don't waste your time here.
I wish I could give them 10 stars. Like some sort of magic trick, they have managed to keep the spectacular pasta dishes exactly the same as when I first fell head-over-heels in love with the tequila lime chicken pasta in the mid 90s. Since then, I had moved to LA for 20 years or so, came back and assumed it would either be gone or different. Huzzah! The tequila lime chicken is precisely the same, which is to say, PERFECT. The gnocchi alla vodka is delicious, the spinach ravioli is amazing, and our new favourite, the shells with salmon, is SUBLIME. We order the largest portion and order extra sauce. It's THAT good. And in almost 30 years I haven't even tried the pizza, we can't imagine ordering here and not having the pasta. Anyone can make shells or angel hair, yes, but the SAUCES and flavors and salmon and mushrooms...I'm drooling just thinking about them. Hands down our favourite meal in town, not kidding.

Neat little pizza place in Lincoln Park. I did initially walk in thinking it would be a quick service locale, but I will not hold my confusion against this establishment. The service staff here were really nice and not too pushy. Prices are relatively high, though they are comparable to other sit-in pizzerias across the Metro. The decor is relatively modest, though the quaint atmosphere works to its benefit. Granted, I did not arrive directly during the lunch or dinner peak - more so on the tail end of lunch - but I do believe that the atmosphere would be heavily affected if the place were crowded. The pie was really nice, though I thought that the cheese was quite too present against the rest of the ingredients.

I had a rough few years starting just before the pandemic. With that, I started to change almost everything in my life, including the restaurants I frequented. I chose to shop locally and after a few swing and misses, I went to Pizza Capri (Lincoln Park). It’s been about five years since I started going there, and the consistency is remarkable! The pizza is excellent, the pasta is like a warm delicious blanket for your belly on a cold day, salads hit the spot EVERY TIME! Even as they’ve updated their menu, the great recipes and consistency flows through. The staff ROCKS, but the cooks are the true ROCKSTARS! Thanks guys for feeding us, you have no idea how much you’ve helped me and my family. ❤️

My firm ordered from Pizza Capri through the Seamless Care food ordering program for evening meals at the office. I ordered the Popeye Penne and slice of cheesecake -- total tab $20, NOT including tax, tip or delivery! The penne arrived with the sauce dripping all out of the container. The penne serving was barely enough to put in a coffee cup. This $12.25 serving took 9 bites to consume and taste rated a "C". The cheesecake at $7.75 was served plain with no topping or fruit and was a miniature slice of a cake comparable to what is purchased from a vending machine! This meal barely was worth $8, much less $25. I have asked Seamless to remove Pizza Capri from the restaurants they use!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!
Very good pizza and pasta, and I love that they include a little free garlic bread. I’m partial to the bbq blast pizza, and the tequila lime chicken. The bbq blast pizza has a great taste and aroma, and the quality and quantity of the chicken used on the pizza is impressive. The only suggestion I would make is possibly a few less peppers in the tequila lime chicken pasta dish. It’s not a big deal (you can just brush them aside) but I think it slightly overwhelms the delicious cream sauce the dish comes in. Overall though this place is terrific, and I’ve found them to be very consistent.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. If I could give 0 stars I would. This was my first time in town and my friends raved about this place so we tried it. The manager (heavyset white guy with receding hairline and sandy curly hair) was curt, rude, and unprofessional. He was extremely rude to my friends and I, before we could even sit down I was ready to leave due to his attitude and disposition. Then as he sat us, he rudely told us that they don't split checks - as if anyone asked him to do so. I will never be back and i will leave this review on every relevant forum possible.
I have eaten at Pizza Capri and loved their takeout menu. However, I wanted to acknowledge their service. Unrelated to ordering their delicious pies I was traveling home and my large bag broke. I called them from outside the restaurant as I had too much stuff with me to leave behind. The staff came out with several bags in 20° weather with no coats or jackets and helped me put my items in the bags. I love their pizza but their positive service only adds to the experience. Thank you for helping me that cold winter day!

We arrived at the restaurant at 3 pm on Sunday, right when they opened. The staff member at the desk was very friendly. We ordered a BBQ pizza and pasta. However, it took a long time for our order to be ready. Both the pizza and pasta were okay but we were disappointed. For a restaurant with a name of a south Italian city, Capri, one would have expected a minimum use of freshly hand-made dough for pizza and more inspired pasta.

I ordered the Gnocchi alla vodka to go. And it was amazing. My friend ordered the spicy chicken on linguini, which he liked a lot as well. Only problem we had with it was the portion size. We finished our food and was still kinda hungry. We did order takeout but I don't think that would make a difference. I usually order from pasta bowl. Pizza capri was only a dollar or 2 cheaper and half the portion. So if your not too hungry and want really good pasta, go for it. Maybe order an appetizer so you leave satisfied.
Pizza great Tequila pasta absolutely magical Not alot of room on halsted ( northside ) Sit and order in hyde park for aouthside stays packed up from 1pm until closing ... Not expensive at all

The perfect neighborhood spot for comforting pastas and salads, Pizza Capri in Lincoln Park is a hidden gem! We love dining here because of the attentive staff and freshly prepared dishes. You can have a two course Italian meal for a very reasonable price and the quality of the ingredients and execution exceeded our expectation! I figured this would be just another chain, quick eat Italian joint. I was surprisingly impressed by the food. There is zero ambiance so it's a great place to pick up food to take somewhere else or get delivery. It has all of your typical pizza and pasta dishes, but the Bolognese was really a very hearty, saucy dish. I had meaty, flavorful wings from here as well. The calamari was just so-so, as I guessed it might be. Don't expect gourmet, but the quick eats do the trick.
Woooooo this place is fantastic! Went out with a group of 6 people we had the chicken parmigiana, the baked mostaccioli, and stuffed pizza with sausage and pepperoni. This might be my favorite place for stuffed pizza, the stuffed pizza is lite and sweet. The baked mostaccoili has a bit of a kick but not too over powering and the chicken parmigiana is fantastic, chicken is perfectly cooked and the pasta delicious. Bonus it is BYOB!
A little gem in Lincoln park. The food is freshly made from scratch every day. Many healthy options like minestrone soup and a large selection of salads. Online ordering is easy and allows alot of customization. It's not much to eat in, but it is newly remodeled, clean and well lit. Fast service with a smile every time. I order from here a couple times a week. Pizzas are very good also.
So I came in for a pizza here and the staff was nice, and the place was very nice and tidy, but the pizza was horribly basic and bland. Maybe other things are good, but I would not recommend the pizza.

Whenever we come to Pizza Capri, it's never *too* busy but business is always steady. The kids (10 and 12) love it here and are addicted to the calamari. The pizza is their second favourite but the pasta's solid, too! Staff is extremely friendly (but not overbearing) and the price is reasonable as well.

Great little place. Good portions for the price. We enjoyed the bruschetta and the ‘Almost Gourmet’ pizza. Slight wait for the food, but I’ll take it for the fresh food. Fresh wins anytime.

I always get the Salad Nicoise and I love it. Good sized piece of salmon, tangy dressing, salty capers and olives, a generous amout of lettuce and tomatoes, and some lovely little pieces of baked potato. You can order at the counter or be served at your table. Sometimes no table ordering if they are busy. Clea, casual look with wood floors.
I can confidently say this is one of the best meals I have ever eaten. I ordered the Spinach Ravioli, along with mozzarella sticks and bread. Not only was the food some of the most delicious I have ever eaten, but the atmosphere and service were both superb! I would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a quality experience!
Our pizza was just okay - not bad, but not great. It took a few minutes to get somebody's attention when we sat down. We were in a bit of a hurry to see a show and only after we paid and sat down did they tell us that it would take about 20 minutes. Not ideal. I'm not going to avoid this place but it isn't a destination either.
This place is awesome! I love their creamy potato soup! It is so delicious and my favorite thing to order. The staff is very kind and friendly. The manager is courteous and always makes nice conversation. Thank you for the amazing service!

I have been eating their food for years! My favorite is the tequila lime chicken pasta! I just ordered a tray of it last night for a party, and everyone was asking where I got it! Also whenever I order, food is on time and staff is always friendly! Definitely a must try!
Been loving this place since the mid 90s. Fell in love with the tequila lime pasta w tri color peppers and it is still fabulous to this day. Every pasta dish is outstanding, the shells with salmon and mushrooms haunts my dreams. I hope they stay alive on Halsted forever.
Right across from Steppenwolf; friendly service and delicious food in reasonable portion sizes. Super convenient to grab a relaxed but swift pre-show dinner. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone seeing a show! The seating area is very nice.
I am from out of town and we were in Chicago and stopped there. Poor service over cooked calamari and under cooked pizza. We complained about the pizza and they took 7 dollars off of an 80 dollar bill... By all means avoid this place if you want a good meal.
The Mixed Baby Greens Salad with the raspberry vinaigrette is so delicious! Will definitely be coming back just for that!

Absolutely amazing place. Quiet and great food. Great staff. In all of Chicago I haven't yet found d anything quite like this establishment. The BBQ chicken pizza was stupendous. I will be back when back in town. Thank you!
Awesome local place for lunch or dinner. Friendly full service staff that calls me by name. Professional, quick, great food and delicious coffee. Would definitely reccomend stopping in or ordering delivery!!

Not the best pizza in Chicago, there are a lot of better options in the neighborhood, However the rigatoni is top notch. The sauce that comes with it is spot on. Get that instead of the pizza
I have been going here on my lunch break for a few days and the food is great! Today the food took about 3 min longer then estimated and the cashier was so polite and even gave me a cookie!!
I eat here at least once per week the food is amazing and so is the staff. I haven't had a single negative experience since I've started going. Highly recommended if you're craving pasta
Their pasta with salmon is incredible! I always do angel hair with it instead of the clams. The tequila lime chicken is also really wonderful!!

VERY good gluten free options. Always ask for 1/2 of the amount of cheese to make it a bit more healthy. They sure load up the pies. One of the best GF options in the area!

The pizza here was great. Everything tasted fresh and the staff knows how to treat its guest. Very accommodating and the location (if dining in) is very intimate.
Amazing personal service during construction. My family and I loved it. Food had excellent taste and presentation. Everything is freshly made when ordered.
Wonderful food... Staff very family oriented. Beautiful dining room area. Very romantic inside and out. The Thai Pie was Excellency... Absolutely reccomend
I ordered the gnocchi and dinner was absolutely fantastic. The people working are so kind. My table also ordered a pizza, and it was great! More
Good food, terrible parking and you have to go outside and around the corner to use the bathroom. Not fun during the rain or the winter months.

Great food and good hours. My favorites are the Shrimp lover pizza and the Abigail salad. Very good pasta too. Also good for catering.
this place is pretty cheap fast the pizza is pretty good too its nothing special but dependable type of taste if that makes sense....
Not bad but quite expensive for what it is. Over $50 bucks for 2 small pizzas and two bottles of water seems steep for “fast food“
Literally the best place with the nicest staff! The chopped salad is hands down the best salad I’ve ever had. Don’t sleep on it!!
Such cute chic place. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I ordered a small pizza and loved it! So good, will be going back again.
A steady go to for take out or eat in the area of Steppanwolf. Excellent salads, pizza and sandwiches make this place a staple
Fresh options, reasonable prices and FRIENDLY Staff! My neighborhood go to when we need a quick and nutritional bite to eat.
Their gnocchi a la vodka is divine, it just melts in your mouth. I’ve had this a few times and also the sauce is amazing.
Go here for the Pizza (we always order the spicy chicken pesto) and Tex Mex egg Rolls. You will not be disappointed!!!
Had a roach on my pizza, very disgusted. Managers were very rude about it. Definitely don’t recommend.
I have probably eaten here 200 times and have never regretted it. Every single menu item is solid
Delicious! I had the turkey sandwich and husband had the BBQ pizza. So good! Quiet little place.
Great place for pasta! Salmon & Shells is so good! Friendly window service pick up as well :)
