I have some great memories of dining here as a youngster, and I was looking to build similar memories for my son - what a shame that it has been let go the way it has. The service was less than good. When I asked if we could have two 'all you can eat' dinners, the woman behind the counter barked at me "THE PRICES HAVE JUST GONE UP, THAT WILL BE $47.90!" For $23.95 per head 'all you can eat', it would be reasonable to expect that there should be a good selection of pizza and salads, and that they would be hot and of reasonable quality. The whole time we were there, there was only one fresh pizza bought out from the kitchen. The other pizzas that were out already were luke-warm and tough, so they had obviously been out for quite some time. The garlic bread had reasonable texture and flavour, but it was also luke-warm. The salad bar was equally disheartening, with a very limited selection of very basic salads. There were three supermarket deli style potato salad, pasta salad, and coleslaw, along with some roughly torn up iceberg lettuce and some canned vegetables. Very uninspiring. The dessert bar was just as uninspiring, with the chocolate mousse being empty when we got there, and still empty when we left. The jelly looked like someone had been standing there stirring it for the last ten minutes, and there was some small cubes of what appeared to be chocolate cake but they looked so dry that I wasn't game to try them. That left the only dessert option of soft serve ice cream with some topping. Thankfully that didn't disappoint. It was sad to discover that 'all you can eat' means 'you won't be able to stomach much more than a few pieces of pizza and maybe some ice-cream' Then, to top off an overall disappointing experience, I went to the bathroom before we left only to find them poorly lit, dirty, and badly aging, with a large puddle covering at least a third of the floor. The only good thing about the bathroom was that there was actually hot water available from the tap, which is better than most restaurant bathrooms. (Just a shame the tap water was hotter than the pizzas!) I don't like to give bad reviews, but I can't honestly give a good one here. It was a VERY disappointing experience that I am in no hurry to repeat.

This isn't Pizza Hut. It's an Indian run pizza shop with a restaurant.... There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that says PIZZA HUT here. Poor customer service, overpriced "lunch deal" (20 something dollars each for all you can eat) ... But the only food on offer was 1. Hawaiian 2. Pepperoni 3. BBQ Chicken - and some garlic bread. (Garlic bread was still awesome - the ONLY good thing about coming) There was no carpet, no tablecloths, no music, no family atmosphere.... Just mostly empty room with some tables and chairs. No branding WHATSOEVER. The salad "bar" consisted of a pathetic 4 options. Coleslaw, tinned beetroot cubes, grated cheese and giant chunks of cucumber.... What can I say but if you're hoping to relive your childhood memories with a return to one of the only DINE IN PIZZA HUT restaurants left in Australia.... Save your money. Don't even bother. Honestly. I was so disappointed.

Are you a GenX looking for a trip down memory lane? Well forget it. The only thing nostalgic about this place is the buildings iconic shape, but even that’s ruined as they have painted the classic red roof tiles a dull grey. Inside is absolutely hideous. Some original decaying booths remain, but there is no checked table cloths and no decorative lights. No uniforms and no table service. The rest of the plain white seating looks like it came from an IKEA catalogue. Some painting has occurred inside, but they gave up and there’s painters tape everywhere and poor plaster repair work. It looks nasty and cheap. It’s also dirty, really dirty. The food is very ordinary, the prices for dining in very, very expensive. About $70+ dollars for 4 people with a bottomless drink each. Think what you can order for that amount as a delivery or pick up. Or at another better pizza place. No itemised receipts, but lots of smirk from the cashier who seems very pleased to be gouging you. Avoid this place like the plague.
Terrible experience for online ordered simple lunch today Went in to collect when online told me it was ready to be told 'oh just a few more minutes'...10+ mins later I said: I was told online it was done 10mins ago (25mins all up) what's taking so long? Was told someone 'put my order out', so gathering it was put into the restaurant She said it will only be a couple more minutes... I was then given a larger pizza for their mistake however when I finally got them (& ran back out to my car in the pouring rain), they were not cooked long enough! Even the cheese was not melted & meat was not hot not enjoyable at all. Ended up having to recook it at home! Very bad experience altogether unfortunately...the 2 female staff spent most of their time standing in the kitchen on their phones. Given the restaurant only had 1 customer for all you can eat & I was the only take away customer during that time, however it was extremely unprofessional.
This was my first dine in all you can eat Pizza Hut visit since i was a young kid in Melbourne. i went in knowing that the experience i was going to get wouldn't live up to the memory/idea i had in my head from when i was young......Oh how i was wrong!!!! It was pumping busy, had to wait 20 mins for a table ( that was ok being school holidays) The food was hot and fresh, salad bar was fresh and full as was the desert options. The garlic bread was without a doubt the best garlic bread i have EVER eaten! It took me back to when i was a little kid and i loved every minute of my visit today!!! Will definitely be back next time im down in Hobart.

Visited for lunch today - a public holiday. For starters, as a public holiday charged at weekend rate of $16.95 all you can eat instead of normal $12.95, plus cost of drinks. They the added a public holiday surcharge of 10%, bringing total cost for each member of my party to $23 approx each. Was quite prepared to pay the weekend rate or the public holiday surcharge - but not both. Started eating - the pasta sauce was cold, there was not much of a selection of pizzas available. The restaurant was not clean, and the toilets looked like they had not been cleaned for some time. Will not be eating at the restaurant again, and would certainly not recommend to any other prospective diners. There are better places to eat. Unfortunately I have to give a minimum of 1 star to post this review. Personal preference - no stars. Will be following this up with Consumer Affairs, and possibly the local Health Inspector.
My order was delivered elsewhere due to the delivery person not having my details to contact me upon arrival. Apparently they just knock on the door and hand over the food now, not even checking name, contact number or order details. So if they rock up at the wrong address, too bad, your food goes to some random !!!!!! We waited for over an hour whilst watching the live tracking... no phone call, I had to go into Puzza Hut and ask where the food was and why there was no phone call to confirm if they were at the right place. The 'new owner' is oblivious to delivery systems, as you can't even call the bloody restaurant and speak to anyone, you get a stupid automated voice-over with options. It's like ringing the Tax Department!!!!!! No wonder this place has gone to the dogs.

My three young children and i were very excited to try all you can eat pizza and ice cream!! ..Arrived and the place was stranded. Not one other person dining. Service was polite but, one bar staff actually smelt the inside of a glass that was left on the bar to see if it was clean or not. A selection of maybe four pizzas, only one of which was edible (margarita) the ham and cheese closely resembled greasy wet cardboard and salami that your teeth would break on. Kids didn't even eat the garlic bread it was so potent, and the chips? The salads were fresh, and the ice cream was cold with a selection of colored sprinkles to go crazy on. Strawberry and chocolate topping on tap. We spent over an hour here, just as we were leaving a family came in and new pizzas were soon brought out.. All round very dissapointing experience and will not be returning anytime soon.
The bolognaise sauce is different to how it used to be and not in a good way the old 1 was great no chocolate chips in the dessert bar only chocolate topping no strawberry the corn chips were stale as if the bag was left open for 4 days told staff and was informed there was no stock until the following day but also left said stale corn chips in the salad bar very limited pizza when we walked in but staff were quick to make whatever pizzas we wanted when asked the young fella serving at the counter was great kind of seemed like not enough staff to keep ontop of everything and ordering of stock should most definitely be one of the highest priorities also bring back the ice cream cones

Waited two hours for pizza that was ordered online, after checking the app it said it had been delivered. However, it had not. Rang them and they said it would take an hour to deliver which would mean a three hour wait, this was too late so we asked for a refund. They said no and they would have it there in 40 minutes. We then waited another hour and a half. No one called to explain why it was late again and no pizza was delivered. We then tried ringing the New Town Store and they did not answer their phone. Still trying to get through to them for a refund. Time is now 3:40pm - ordered at 12:00pm.

Went for lunch, it was $24.95 to eat in. There was only two pizza's there and a small amount of cold chips. The food was not good, my sister in-law found 3 small black hairs in her food so couldn't eat it. The toilets were a mess, you have to pick the stall door up to close it only to notice Brown smears all over it, the toilet roll than falls on you if you try to take some, I felt like I needed a shower just from using it. Please save your money and don't eat here. I will not call sorry, I was completely turned off ever eating at a pizza hut again. I've added photos so you can see just how disgusting this place is.

absolutely disgusting pizzas! I ordered ham and cheese and a pepperoni one and the hole pizzas were dry an gross the meats were rock hard like they have been sitting out for hours! (i ordered online not the buffet) the only thing warm was the bottom on the pizza box when I picked it up! ( I also arrived before they were ready on the app) so it's not like I was late either!! the pizzas were cold! and the garlic bread was even dry! also the night after we had it we all had an upset stomach/ belly pains and my daughter even vomited! never again will I ever go here!!!!! it's not the first bad experience either!!! but this time has definitely turnt me off ever going again.
I had read some very negative 1 star reviews so was not sure what to expect but there were a few people dining in so figured we would give it a go and glad we did. The food was coming out pretty much as soon as it was empty, everything was fresh, the staff were friendly and constantly cleaning and picking up anything on the ground and the restaurant was clean. The garlic bread was delicious. Would definitely recommend esp to get the experience for anyone too young to know!!!

We went on a Saturday night, we were very hesitant going because of all the bad reviews. it was pretty busy and everything was fresh and the buffet was stocked and clean. We ran out off spoons once but as soon as i called out to them them brought out more. The only thing i can fault them on is the toilets! They need to be upgraded asap, useable yes... but old, discolored, toilet paper dispensers broken, no paper towel and stall door is hard to shut. Others dining with me said the male toilets were fine so possibly in the middle of upgrading them? If you are going for the food its worth it, but try to stick to busy times to ensure items are fresh
Very poor service, hardly any food and I can tell you for the near $100 we spent it wasn't worth it,the crust on every pizza was hard and all our kids complained which was something coming from them as they eat just about anything, the food looks nothing like the website pictures and we didn't see most what is in pics, very very wasteful day,its like they don't want you there to eat they just want to take your money, and what's with cleaning while people are eating? ,we have taken pizza hut off our list of places to take the kids just a bad dirty cheap eating experience ,if we could rate them nothing we would
Very disappointed and would never come back. Paid for 5 adults without drinks and 3 kids (12 and under - soft drinks included) SO IT SAYS! Even the young boy who served us told us that the kids $12.95 comes with a drink hence why we did not purchase a drink from the fridge. I paid over $100 dollars for all of us, just to be told when my daughter and nephew went up to the counter to get their paper cups that it is not included and would only be included if adults also got a drink. Disappointed, management is shitt. Food was average

Always enjoy dining here, lunch and dinner prices are great! The pizza has been put out fresh every time we go, and we've asked for certain pizzas and they always make for us. Pasta is always yummy and salad bar and dessert are good. Highchairs available and we've never had to make a reservation. Friendly helpful staff. Toilets available inside to use.

Business as usual! As in how things use to be before Covid-19, but aren’t allowed to be with current restrictions? Masks seemed to be optional for staff and customers (staff in the kitchen were wearing them on theirs chins), sanitiser containers were empty, plates and bowls were being re-used due to no clean ones being available, everyone helping themselves at collecting the food and cleaning limited. Also- food was slow so almost always empty. Gave 1star purely for the fact that it brought back some memories from years ago when it use to be much better (and I couldn’t go lower!)
Very poor customer service. We were waiting in line and kept getting pushed back in line because the staff member needed to 'serve other customers first', including customers that were still walking in the door. Not sure why, but very rude and disappointing... Checks out with all the other 1 star reviews too. We waited for 15 minutes for no apparent reason and left without being served. Save your time and money and go somewhere else, like a real Pizza Hut, because this clearly isn't one.

Like everything in recent times, the offering of the all you can eat option has shrunk. There were only a few pizzas, however to their credit, when we asked for a particular pizza they were very happy to make it. There were no fresh chips for at least 30 mins. There were very few sides to go with the meal. The pizza itself was ok. Not terrible but not the best. Our young son really enjoyed the all you can eat aspect. The staff seemed friendly and the main manager gentlemen seemed very accommodating.

It's difficult to make something with nothing. The employees did their best, but the place needs a renovation. We ordered separate pizza and pasta but everyone else in the restaurant had the all you can eat. Employees are mostly busy with refiling the buffet area. Renovate the place, be more creative with the menu, remove the all you can eat, have table service and fresh ingredients and this place might become a success again. Alternatively, change it into a McDonald's.

Little expensive these days and not really a great deal to choose from. Pasta and sauces cold, Garlic bread always rock hard and cold. Pizza was like it had been sitting there for hours. Kids didn't get ice cream as the machine was not working. Salad bar isn't really much of a salad bar and desserts, not much of a range. Not many buffet style restaurants in Hobart left, and with service like this I can see why.

I don't believe this place has changed in all my life time, it could do with a revamp inside and some garden / lawn maintenance on the outside. But get passed that and you find a good selection of pizza available, only 1 pasta, 2 sauces, a basic fresh salad bar and a couple of dessert items. All in all a good feed, staff were pleasant. Not very busy at all for a Saturday lunch time.

Sad place. Garden intended and dead and Carpark untidy. Customer service was non existent and we dined in but weren't asked for options of type of crust or sauce. We were finally served in cardboard takeaway boxes at the table with no cutlery or serviettes and the solitary worker went from sweeping floor to serving at the counter to food prep without washing hands or wearing plastic gloves. Advertised drinks weren't available and while the pizza was ok it had too much sauce on it. Never going back
We love Pizza Hut Newtown. I’ve been coming here since I was a child and now I bring my own kids. Thank you so much for still being open for a slice of nostalgia! We usually eat in but today we got it to take away and sat at Cornelian Bay. Gluten free Hawaiian is the best. Crispy, cheesy, delicious! Great value when compared to other local options, for sure.

Extremely rude staff. Service is non-existent. When you enter, the staff couldn't be more indifferent. If you dare to doubt or question them, you will be met with strong scolding. As a customer, you have to provide a good service to them first, before they might decide to give you a service. If they are not mentally stroked comfortably, well, good luck.

Very mediocre food. Pizza was all deep bases. Pasta was okay. Salad bar extremely disappointing - there were corn chips, huge slices of dried out cucumber, tinned beetroot, grated cheese, tinned corn, jalapenos and tinned pineapple that had 0 flavour. You cannot call that a salad bar..... Chocolate mousse and jelly was okay. Ice cream was disgusting - I instantly felt sick after eating. Pizza hut really needs to up their game

Bad. Restaurant dingy and dated. Very little food available, had to keep asking for more pizzas, pasta, garlic bread etc to be brought out.. there was nothing there. Pizzas were tasteless, tough and half cold. Was not enough plates, spoons or bowls, had to wait for everything ... despite restaurant being half empty. It gets one star due to the fact that the icecream and mouse were yummy. Hadn't been here for 20 years and no intention of returning any time soon.
Went tonight to buy myself a gluten free pizza got home pizza wasn’t cooked right through it wasn’t hot enough had to put my pizza in my oven no taste but the service is great that is why I gave two stars disappointed worst gluten free pizza never will I spend money on Pizza Hut or Domino’s gluten free

Extremely disappointed, our bill was more than it should be. And they could not explain why it was so much more expensive than it should be nor could any of the staff be understood. $20 each for 2 4yo children who eat 1 slice of pizza is very excessive. How can it be all you can eat when there is a selection of 2 pizzas. Oh not to mention the staff blowing their nose into the sink without using a tissue or anything is very disgusting and filthy.
REALLY need to pick up there game in terms of rotation of empty to full Pizzas. WERE SITTING for almost 25 mins waiting to be refilled. Even after saying something to staff Really need to pick up their game with options for desert add-ons with only 2 syrup options and just choc chips for the icecream even if there is also small amounts of jelly, and mousse as options

Went there at around 8:30 and asked if we could dine in as we saw they had already mopped the floor and looked like they were gonna close. Asked them if it was okay to dine in and they said it was fine. Ordered food and they bought it in a take away container expecting us to take it away. Asked them later about it and they started lying and got aggressive about it.

What a nostalgia trip!! My amigo and i recently dined in and treated ourselves to the 'works', something I haven't taken up since 1998. I must say, the pizzas were hot and fresh, the garlic bread was on point, and the soft serve with accompanyments completed our great meal. My only gripe was the variety of pizza, i had a craving for Pizza Hut's ever so reliable favourite, the super supreme. Overall a great experience.
waited almost like an hr for my food delivery. my money was charged. I have to chase them to know why my food was not delivered after almost hr, the answer was they don't have that product available. I can apply for refund. what a joke, if the product is not available why it is still available to order online. so disappointed and not even sorry for making clients wait for their food.

Hygiene is a term not used in this establishment. Bowls were dirty (maybe bleach them or get new ones they look like they're 20 years old). Pizza was cold in some instances and hard as a rock. Pasta was half cooked and since when do you tip old pasta sauce into new?? Need a visit from the health inspectors. Not a pleasant experience, will not be back.
Disgusting! Inside is bare! Ever since this was taken over it’s now rundown. And don’t get me started on the lawns. They are outrageous. The Indian owners need to put a bit of money into the place or close it down. Managers reading this. Actually do something about it. Puts some trees out the front. Advertise inside like the good old days

It was better when I was still in school, and I could only afford a $12 lunch. The pizza selection is small, and it's typical cheap and nasty takeaway pizza. The toppings were sparse and sometimes lacking in flavour. You know it's pretty bad when you'd rather eat the lettuce... The soft serve ice cream machine is the saving grace.
Was very busy as they had a 20 kid school trip in whilst we were there and the manager still keep things up seeing she had a lot of new customers coming in would see not many pizzas out because they have been ate. But she keep them up to us well done same old Pizza Hut I use to go to 15 years ago yum …

My experience of pizza hut in newtown was not a pleasant one.I visited it on Saturday the 18th of June.we turned up at 11.05 am the door was locked and cleaning up was in progress,we were told to come back at 11.30....half an hour after it opens officially. Didn't go back.
Had to visit, had not seen an all you can eat pizza hut in years. Was a little lacking in toppings on pizzas. We had a small group so they did say straight away they would put fresh pizzas in and they did that

All you can eat pizza, pasta, chips, salad and dessert - but it is pizza hut so don't expect 5-star dining. Also came with an all you can drink cup. Not a bad way to spend $20 for lunch.

Pizza was dry, chips cold, coke mix didn't taste right and the pasta/sauce was not even edible. Toilet facilities were not clean, graffiti and dry paint drippings on the floor. I don't normally complain but this was just unacceptable and I will never go again.
Terrible experience. The floors were really dirty & we nearly slipped on pizza on the floor. Eventually that was cleaned up, but jelly was left on the floor. They weren't busy, so no excuse. The plates & cutlery was dirty. Won't be going back at all.
Dinner was shocking! Only 2.. to 3 pizzas to choose from from 5 pm till 6. They only put out 3 slices of garlic bread at a time for around 8 people, would not recommend ! Just a waste of money!

May as well not even have a phone number. you cant get a local store, the generic phone never answers. 45 mins is not acceptable for any business to not answer. 3 occasions I have tried. Thank fully found a new source to get simple food.
The restaurant and bathrooms are a bit run down and could use some refurbishment. But the staff are lovely. The pizzas are cooked and served as quickly as possible, great for casual family dining. Great place to bring hungry kids.
Pizza Hut dine-in Restaurants haven’t changed much over time. Great varieties of Pizzas, free drink re-fills and a salad and dessert bar all included in the one price of $21.90. Bring back more Pizza Hut dine-in restaurants.
That was quite possibly the worst pizza I've ever had. Your "Gluten Free Base" tasted like frozen cardboard. Seriously, have you even tasted your own product ???

Our grand daughter had a great time and enjoyed her meal. Great place for families and pizza enjoyable. Was very impressed with staff and had no idea just how popular it is after many yrs since visiting last time.
Went for All you can eat. Fresh pizza, salad, and ice-cream was great. Staff were welcoming and friendly, specially "Ashwina" looked after us and served according to our needs. 5 star for Pizza Hut and Ashwina.
The place was fully packed when we went to lunch on a weekday... It was during school holidays. Despite it being very busy the staff made sure to keep topping up the buffet. Would definitely go back again!
Both pizza and chicken was just ‘OK’ Lack on sauce and the crust was so different than usual pizza huts (thin crust) Also, the service was terrible, no acknowledgement. We didn’t feel welcomed at all.
The staff are not welcoming. Starts moping the store while customers are around. Food is good but definitely don’t know how to talk to customers

Love this place, one of the very few all yup can eat pizza huts left. It needs a bit of TLC as it feels a little run down, however that won't stop me from coming back every time I'm in Hobart :)
Went for the all-you-can-eat for my 34th birthday. 2 flavours of jelly, fresh garlic bread kept coming, heaps of soft serve. The choc moose was a big hit. Good way to spend a couple of hours.
Good amount of food out through lunch service. My son loved it for his birthday. Always get take away from here with good deals too

It's a really lovely suprise, as one of the only dine-in pizza huts left! Amazing pizzas that were hot, fresh & well cooked & the icecream was incredible. Great value for money
Went for all you can eat in New Town pizza hut. Loved the service! The lady there “Ashwina” was very welcoming and served according to our requirements. Highly recommended!
