I recently discovered this hidden gem of a Mediterranean restaurant in Square One mall's Food District and I am blown away by the quality of their food and their hard work. I've been visiting them frequently during lunchtime and each time, I am amazed by the delicious flavors, presentation, and generous portions. The beef is cooked to perfection and every bite is a delight. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves good food and wants to try something unique. Their menu is different from any other restaurant I've been to, and I can't wait to go back and try more. Overall, an outstanding experience that deserves recognition. I hope they expand soon so more people can enjoy their amazing food!

Without a doubt the best bang for your buck food in square one, and some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in Toronto. This is coming from a mall employee - do not miss this place if ur in square one!! Watching the 20+ steps they put into every dish happen right in front of you makes the entire experience feel like you are dining at a high end restaurant, but it's under $20! The portions for the plates are generous, and if you are still hungry you can always get an extra pita (they are fantastic and made fresh right). If you are working with a budget and want to pay what you typically might for mall food, I'd get a hummus with a few extra pitas. That's plenty food for two people for $15-20. The only minus is the possibly long wait times, but it's always been worth it.

First time visit when they opened and was very impressed with the quality and freshness. of the ingredients used. The food is very delicious and the date syrup is fantastic. The service will need to improve and at last one more person is needed in the back to assist the amazing chef. My order was supposed to have tofu and quinoa, both were missing and had to be added after I mentioned it to the front staff. One gentleman's order was forgotten entirely while his partner had their's and was already eating. A few people had requested their orders to go and had to be redone. Prices are a bit high for plates at over $16 even for breakfast, must be due to high rent .Definitely has potential to be a great lunch spot and strong contender with the rest of the merchants but you have to be on point.

Went to this place for lunch with a friend. It had some fusion Mediterranean cuisine so thought to give this place a try. We asked the person behind the counter about the concept, didn’t get a good answer. Asked for recommendations and didn’t turned out good as well. Decided to go with Happy Therapy salad and Happy Pasha in pita. We were told it’s kind of a fine dining concept to go. I was excited to see what special they do to make it work. Unfortunately was disappointed with the service and food. Food prep took more than 20 minutes. I like my steak to be medium done but the meat in my pita was also medium done (I didn’t even asked for it). The food is overpriced for me. I have been to middle east many times and this is not even near to the taste and quality of it.

My girlfriend and I decided to try Plancha for the first time yesterday and it completely exceeded our expectations. We took our time deciding what to order and the man at the front (sadly we didn't get his name) was beyond helpful. It was like talking to an old friend, he took his time to answer any questions we had and educated us on the food and how it was made. We ended up ordering the 12:10 to Marrakech plate and the rolling pasha plate as per his reccomendation. My girlfriend who has recently started eating meat again (and doesn't like beef or lamb) tried my plate which consisted of both and couldn't stop coming back for more. We are already talking about coming back to the mall just to get to eat here again. Fan tastic food and service!

Best Middle Eastern restaurant I've been eyeing this resto for awhile I saw it downtown Toronto but it closed. So I was excited they opened one in the GTA. Hopefully they'll have their own standalone resto soon. The spices and the way the food was prepared is next level! I ordered the rolling pasha plate and the kofta was seasoned very well. I can tell everything is made in house. Onions and tomatoes worked well with everything. The salad was simple but complemented the salad. Hummus/Tahiti was very smooth and went with the kofta and pita bread. Wished I got more kofta but it was excellent. Hope they add baklawa and mint tea to their menu. Definitely giving Paramount a run for their money. Love Israeli Moroccan cuisine

Have no ethics or morals and have a thieving mindset. I ordered a Shakshuka, and they served it to me without any spinach (a key ingredient of Shakshuka) or arugula. When I asked about the missing ingredients they just said they were supposed to be closed today and have run out of the ingredients. Why wasn’t I informed of this when I was ordering it? I would have ordered a different dish then. They didn’t even tell me that they were serving me an entirely different dish and just expected to get away with fooling a person who they assumed have not eaten a Shakshuka before. What they served is basically a tomato curry and even as a tomato curry it was not good. Shame on you. I hope your business gets shut down.

Would've loved to have given this place a try but was ignored when I wanted to order and decided to move on. It's a shame though, I was walking by deciding on what to eat and was struck with how good it smelled. I waited almost 10 minutes hoping to order but wasn't given any attention, despite a staff member walking by several times behind the counter. I tried to signal to them but was ignored. Is there a different way to order that I didn't understand? I ended up getting frustrated and left. Given some of the great reviews, i'd like to think maybe it was just an off day. There was also an older woman trying to buy next to me so I hope atleast she eventually got some decent service.

I always go to the food district for my lunch. Today, I wanted to grab Plancha since the last time I had their food it was amazing. However, I had the worst customer service experience, in fact there was no customer service at all. I patiently waited for awhile only to notice the workers arguing about an order and didn’t pay attention the the long line that was quickly forming behind me. Here’s the thing, this wasn’t the first time I’ve experienced this at this location. There were multiple instances where I wanted to get Plancha but waited for awhile to order but was never helped. Terrible service. Unfortunate, because the food is great here.

Ordered the rolling pita pasha, it was lovely! The kofta was juicy, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The pita bread was so soft and perfectly complimented what it contained. I can also tell that the tahini used for the tahini sauce is of really good quality. I felt a pickle in there would have made this absolutely perfect though. Definitely coming back. Side note: I loved watching the chef put everything together. He wasn’t just assembling and cooking the food, he was dancing with the food.

I love eating here. Sublime isn't even an exaggeration. Every part of my meals here have been perfect. Salmon, rice, tricolor quinoa, hummus, bread, lamb and beef kofta, all of it is perfect. The hummus is really tasty and creamy. The bread is amazing enough to deserve that hummus. The kofta are juicy and delicious. Salmon was perfect. I struggled to choose between the rice or the quinoa because I loved them both so much. Definitely one of my top 5 places to eat in Mississauga.

I rarely ever write reviews, but I just happened to be at Square One looking for food options. I love a good chicken wrap and decided to give the 12:10 To Marrakech Pita a try...I have to say, it was the best I've ever had! The chicken was tender and juicy, the pita was warm with a soft crunch. Toppings were well balance and the perfect blend of flavoring. My only gripe was the wait time, as there was only one person taking orders and making the food. But it was worth the wait! Will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area.

We stopped at Plancha for late dinner just before closing the mall. The server was very knowledgeable, explained everything to us about the food and where it comes from. He was able to adjust our order the way we liked it. The food itself was delicious. I dreamed of the Mediterranean food and it was better than I expected. I had a vegan omelette and my friend had shaksha. Both meals were fresh and beautifully presented. I will always stop at Plancha whenever I’m at Square One. It’s a true gem with all the fast food options.

This is located in the new section of the SQ.1 mall the food district. I went there for breakfast today to try it out, It was my first time there and I noticed they had a 10$ off when you order through the App so I downloaded the app and ordered but I chose the wrong location by mistake so I informed the owner and he was very nice person he called the other location and cancelled my order then he processed my order at this location. I found the food was delicious, fresh and healthy and the customer service was excellent

Amazing food, more than the standard couple of options one usually gets for vegetarian fare in Mediterranean cuisine. Loved the Tofu Shwarama plate we had for lunch- the flavors, the aroma, and the tastefully put together presentation. The hummus and salad alongside was fresher than what we have had in recent past at other places. The staff was working really hard during rush hour, and yet did not miss a thing in the preparation. Highly recommended, we will visit again to try out the other stuff on their menu.

I was so excited to try this place inside the square one food district but it did not meet my expectations at all. The food looked very fresh and flavourful but it did not taste good at all for some odd reason. The rice and chicken were filled with oil and the smell was horrible. The only thing I ate out of my plate was the salad and the creamy hummus with the small pita chips. I wish I could have given 5 start rating but the presentation of the food only looked tasty. I will not be returning back.

This is bt far THE BEST MEDITERRANEAN FOOD I've had. If you like this kind of food, you can't get much better than this place. To me, the food seemed a work of art. My photo doesn't do justice. And taste, I mean, it is a symphony of various ingredients. I live in Guelph, but I will come back to the mall just for this. It is that good. What I had was Rolling Pasha, but I bet other menus will be equally good. You guys seriously rock!!!

We had the most amazing lunch at Plancha served by the lovely Haval! I had the Rolling Pasha and my brother had the 12:10 to Marrakech Chicken. Both our plates were screaming flavour from the perfectly balanced Hummus and pickled mango sauce that complimented the dishes perfectly! We initially thought to take it home but the conversations with Haval and the aromas from the kitchen convinced us to take the extra 30 minutes to eat our meal… and must I say, it was the best decision we had made!

Best Mediterranean Casual in Mississauga. This has to be the best hummus in the GTA if I'm comparing the best known in Toronto. I read some reviews before I posted mine and was shocked at the hate based reviews. To those of you eating here this is a Mediterranean concept inspired by Morrocan and Spains' Cusines. This is not Middle Eastern Food Don't Compare it to your typical shawarma place Food chain and just enjoy the food! Lineups and wait times are excessive but it's worth the wait!

The food was very highly acclaimed by the friend who recommended it. Sadly this was not my favourite spots to grab a quick bite. I tried the beef entree so please keep that in mind in case you want to visit and get chicken. Chicken is better. Food was fresh. The size is pretty generous. I just didn't like the flavour combination. Try it anyway as it is healthy and halal!

Best food in sq1. Reasonable prices and fresh. I have always had a great experience here; the staff are always pleasant. This restaurant is a two person show, there is no dedicated front of house employee, and all staff seem to have ample cooking experience. Reasonably, there is a trade off here, I do sometimes wait a little while to place an order, but it’s not long at all. Staff here are always moving and working, and producing great tasting food. Thank you!

This is by far the best hummus in the GTA. Some would say in the world if you're well travelled. All the protein dinner plates and sandwiches are excellent. Food is made fresh so the wait time can be a bit with only 2 employees working at a time. instead of browsing at the overhead menu on your first visit I suggest you ask the chef for recommendations. It's definitely worth the wait and is definitely should be classified as TOP 5 EATS IN MISSISSAUGA.

The best food in the city. Hands down my favourite mediterranean food in the GTA. The fact that its in a mall is crazy, the quality of this food (menu, ingredients, preparation) deserves to be a in a fancy michelin star restaurant where you should dress up and spend 50-$100 per plate. My mother and I stopped here for lunch on a shopping day-out and the food was incredible. We shared the 12:10 to Marrakesh Chicken, and the portions were so generous that we were both full by the end. It came with the softest, smoothest hummus I have ever tasted and a very tasty salad. Service was also incredibly friendly and helpful. Food came out in less than 5 minutes. Could not recommend this place more - I just wish they had more locations!

I really loved the food here! The rolling pasha was one of my favourites. I have also tried the tofu dish from the hummus bar which was also really good. The person who was at the front taking the order and prepping seemed friendly. He tries to make conversation with people who are sitting down to eat - makes you feel welcome. The only thing I would note would be that the closing time is not correct here. I have seen it closed before 7.

EDIT: Location is permanently closed. Original Review Tried the 3:10 to Marrekach and it was pretty good - chicken was flavourful, hummus was great and salad was tangy! Wish the portion size of the salad would be better however - its a small palmful and for the price paid it would go a long way. Would still recommend it however due to freshness and flavour.

Had the Rolling Pasha plate here made by this sweet chef called Haval. It was honestly one of the best things I have tasted in a looong time. It had meat koftas with tomato and garlic on saffron rice. Onions and leaves on the side with some hummus that tasted like heaven. I don't know if it's the spice or the tahini sauce they use but everything was just so rich and full of flavors.

This was my first time at Plancha SQ1 location and what a great experience it was. My girlfriend ordered the Rolling Pasha Plate and I had the 12:10 to Marrakesh Plate. The gentleman (I think he was the owner)that made our day was wearing purple glasses and thanks to the delicious food he made for us and the great conversation he had with us, we will definitely come back again. Beautiful, healthy, delicious. Plancha’s owner took Mediterranean fine dining experience to the street and made it accessible. Wow! We were impressed by this little “food court restaurant!” The food is delicious and the service was amazing! You must try this if you’re at the Food District in Square One and looking for a good meal. There’s lots of treats in the same area like doughnuts and macaroons, but Plancha is definitely a place to eat! Highly recommend and we will be back! We purchased our meals to go. People who love healthy options will love this place. I like their fusion meals. I ordered through their ritual service. When I went to pick up, no one greeted me or even offered to help. After waiting for few minutes I had to ask if my order is ready. The cashier just handed the food to me and started doing other work without even saying a word. However I am still giving five stars because the food tasted delicious.

Very little food for steep prices. Don't be deceived by its looks. I got the 12:10 to Marrakech plate. You get a bowl of couscous with a few extremely tiny strips of chicken (can't even tell there's chicken in there). And the salad was just leaves with 2 tiny pieces of cucumber and a cherry tomato. And a couple small pieces of pita. Expected much better food with a lot less cheap filler.

Delicious new outpost of the downtown hidden favourite. The 12:10 to Marrakech in a pita was nice and fresh and very well seasoned. As with any new shop, they're still working out a few issues like orders taking a bit longer than expected. Also, our serving dishes still had the original label and price tag attached which made me wonder if it had been properly cleaned before use.

Vegan Shwarma has INCREDIBLE smoky flavour, one of the most delicious veg things I've ever had eating out (long-time vegetarian). Can't wait to eat again.

The employees here are a joke. They don't notice a customer standing for 10 minutes because they are in the kitchen just joking around. The way they answer questions makes it look like they're there by force. A shawarma wrap costs about $15, so you expect a proper wrap, but the food is made with such a lack of care that you can literally taste it. Never going back.

Great place to get lunch. Decently priced and numerous choices. The sauces that were applied to the food however definitely was a miss. The rest of the food was delicious!

There's a variety of different types of food. There's a halal sign on the menu as well. The price is quite steep when compared to the quantity of food provided. We had the 12:10 to Marrakesh with couscous which was quite fresh and flavorful. Took an awfully long time to prepare though as they only have a couple of people taking orders and preparing dishes.

I've been here a few times and they never disappoint!! I always get their Rolling Pasha on pita and I find myself craving them so often, it's THAT good. Today while I was waiting, they gave me a tester of their hummus on a small pita and I am DEFINITELY going to buy a whole serving next time! Its so creamy and sooooo good. Please give them a try!

This place has one of the most fresh and delicious food I've had in a very long time. I can't believe I had a five star experience in a MALL. The lamb and beef kofta plate was to die for. I had ordered one of the vegan options and the gentleman working at the front kindly suggested I try the more popular of the two veg options- I'm very thankful for his expertise as the shawarma was absolutely delicious! Outstanding Gem In Square One. Best place to eat in the mall. They need to update their hours of operation. Some days they're not there. Some days they close early. Some days they pause to refresh the kitchen.

My buddy treated me to the Rolling Pasha Pita for lunch one day. It had a good balance of flavors and quite juicy. I'm not sure if the value was that great at a $13.95 price point.

Loved their food. Tried their chicken, beef and lamb kofta which were full of flavors and the hummus was great too. They serve Halal meat.
