So writing this after not having been in MONTHS... Once the "summer body" folks really starting ramping up (March-June) I started working out at home exclusively. However, I will be returning soon since summer is over and the crowds seem to have died down( I walk past just about everyday on my way to the fruit stand next door). It's pretty standard as far as PFs go- but hey it's definitely affordable and clean. When I was going religiously there was always at least one of each type of machine out of order, but they did start fixing them more quickly towards the end. Free weights were readily available and if there was a wait for a particular machine (Oh how we women love the butt and thigh machines lol) you could easily switch up your routine a lil and come back to that machine a bit later. Staff is friendly and helpful, just wish the personal trainers had a separate area instead of taking up space in the front 30 min Express Workout section. It's awkward having to excuse yourself to get to a machine that 2-3 people are exercising IN FRONT OF. All in all, I know there are better gyms out there- even better Planet Fitness' but this is convenient to my job and offers the basics.

Stinks, in every sense of the word. It always WREAK of gym funk SO HEAVILY! The black card message chair area smells like a dead rodent! It's super small. The basement/ floor workout area is WAY TOO SMALL and they have the nerve to have "classes", you will be literally stepping over people down there it's horrible! You have to do your best to find space to do any mat/ floor exercise even when there's not a class in session, most of the time laying in between machines is your only option. It's the worst! On top of all that the customer service sucks in particular the front desk! Not bad people just too catty, unattentive and unprofessional. The last time I went I saw that they had about 3 employees "in training" so hopefully the quality of customer service will change and become better. One change at a time I guess. I have family and friends that drag me to this location because they do not want to travel. Just a gym for you to go in and get out, for a quick workout...use the machines and go.

They just talk nicely but when they need to do real job, they never help(two of one can not go downstairs??? ) I seen this with many other too. They promote Black card membership but they never said that $58 cancellation charge. No one has knowledge about software and membership, She(manager) told me that now you no need to pay for cancellation with black card because she downgraded my card. I visited store 4 times she was not in store and other employee said its not possible you must have to pay $58. So over here may all employee are foolish or manager. Today I visited store , manager was down stair, at front there were two employees so I request them to inform her but they told me that no one can leave the front desk you must have to wait and minimum 10mins. I had no time finally I paid $58 for cancellation.

You would think during the pandemic that the gym management team would care to make sure the entire gym is being cleaned. Epic fail! The bathrooms are clearly not. In one of the lady’s restroom stalls there was a number 2 stain yesterday and it is still there today! And it’s useless to talk to the manager because I addressed a concern to her about an employee prior and she just stood there pretending to listen but never said I apologize or nothing. The PF in Columbus circle for instance is a good example of cleanliness and customer service. Clean the entire gym everyday, there is virus making people sick and die...we members are paying for service in its entirety,not just to work out. Shameful!

Gym location is not bad since it’s walking distance from my house, I normally get their around 12am first thing you notice is the front desk staff not doing their job either on the phone sleeping or taking personal time outside . I didn’t come to a gym to check my self in or not be greeted. The cleanliness of the gym is amazing it’s clean, smell good, from the mirrors to the equipment are always sanitize, the bathrooms are always clean the young man who cleans at night are excellent. Definitely the type of environment I want to be in Whiles working out especially at this time. Overall if wasn’t for the cleanliness of the gym I would not even come.

I am terrified going here. One bad apple can spoil the entire gym. I was involved in an altercation with an employee at this gym. A trainer was shouting at me and I definitely felt threatened. During the altercation I thought he was just a member but after my workout I saw him training a group of people. He was very ignorant and aggressive towards me. I don’t know if he was reprimanded however I won’t be renewing my PF after this experience. He caused a scene over something really small. I can’t believe an employee can act like that at work. I’m now on my tippy toes since this is the most convienient location for me until it ends.

This gym is a shame because I have 2 weeks coming and I always use the same shower and can believe that it has not been cleaned when the main thing is hygiene of a gym, but that's nothing when I ask for the manager to tell him what is happening (that I have 2 weeks watching a small bar of dried soap in the shower) he calls me a liar in a few words and doesn't take the time to go with him down to show him. I think he does not care at all, he is only there to collect his salary and nothing else I do not recommend this place to anyone until the administration changes the manager and the staff.

The staff in this place are very lazy never by the check in counter, they are always in the room behind the counter. Then you have to scan yourself in and when you do they ask you did you scan!! well yes if you were doing your job instead of sitting down and talking you would see I scanned myself.Also there are machines that are broken for a very long time but they have signs that say temporary out of order but it's been broken for months. When you enter they do not greet you when you leave they dont say goodbye. This is very bad for business!!

This is my 3rd year since joining planet fitness and I've been in different locations and have i never seen someone took their job as serious as this guy. Today October 11 2017 I met one of your workers and he was very polite to me and my friend. During the ending of our work out we bumps into him again downstairs and he was dusting off the pipes on ceiling, I was applause, have never see someone dusting the pipes and machines off, but he works hard thank you so much for being so nice and kind and very helpful. I give this gym 5 stars

The gym where I exercise is awesome. It offers a broad range of workouts and fitness gear, which is impressive. The trainers are always willing to aid and advise on proper exercise techniques. The studio environment is very inspiring, and fellow members encourage each other. The space is neat and tidy, which is also important. The workout timetable is very favourable, with a class starting at any hour that suits you. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to keep fit and achieve favourable outcomes.

I visited PF on Pitkin ave in Bklyn 9/2/21 bet. 5-6pm. The female staff was rude, aggressive, antagonizing, and combative. I was trying to obtain clarity and info on the "LOCKING OUT" of members who were not fully vaccinated by the end of August. The female manager was of NO HELP either. All THE FEMALE STAFF STAND BEHIND THE DESK SCROLLING THROUGH THERE PERSONAL PHONES ROLLING THERE EYES DEARING MEMBERS TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS!!!! THIS PF IS MANAGED AND RUN BY CHILDREN DOING A HORRIBLE JOB!!!!!

This place is a total fraud. When I signed up with them they never told me it was $58.00 to cancel on their so called promotions. You don’t get a copy of your contract. You pay pro-rated fees only to be told that there are 13 months in a year. No trainers are available. When you raised these issues the front desk make further fraudulent representations. These people are not professionals they just make all type of fraudulent representations to potential customers to rob your credit card.

I been going there for a while I miss the old staff, there’s a new girl manager she be wearing black jeans she’s the worst always on the phone sometimes I have to scan myself . She be on the phone and wane other workers to do work that she could’ve easily done. I think about removing myself and my I have 5 family members that goes there I will definitely pull them off if this issue do not resolve and please don’t tell me to talk to the manager she is the manager

Benn going there for last 8 months now. The gym is really good except for any supervision. Some people at the gym just hoard the weights for them and is really very inconvenient as you see 2-3 people using 3-4 machines at the same time. I have spoken to the desk about it but no decision has been made so far. Really annoying for someone who wakes up at 4:30AM and is at the gym at 5 o clock. Ahead of an entire busy day some less annoyance would be nice.

As of lately it stinks especially when you go downstairs it smells like a rodent or rodents have died and the smell is terrible it’s been smelling like that for weeks! On top of that I also saw a mouse. The bottom floor is too small there are barely any mats and there is no space to do any exercises on the floor. There also is not enough equipment you’re literally fighting over equipment because it’s so limited. Definitely going to find another gym

One of the better locations in my opinion. PROS: less crowded than Bushwick locations, friendly staff, decently sized locker rooms, two-story layout with abs etc. in the basement which makes it seem more spacious. CONS: equipment is all a little old and beat up, building itself is pretty old and sometimes the ceiling leaks, no good subway station nearby so really only convenient if you live close by, no cell service in the basement.

The staff is chill, friendly. So many ways to strengthen your muscles, judgement free but I prefer to go when the t e are less people there. They got trainers, showers, locker rooms. No pool or sauna but they have several workout programs. It's lean and you can catch up on the news. They have cleaning products so you can clean up after yourself. Fits a variety of schedules. User friendly app and easy ways to pay your membership

I used to like this gym..now its a hot mess you have people who are not trainers having their on personal sessions where you can't even get a,mat....crowded,always changing staff..machines are always broken,it's dirty,poor service,dirty locker rooms.i wish I could post the pictures but this is not letto g me do it.......I'm beginning to hate this gym,pure trash now only reason I go it's because it's very close to my home...

I love this place it have everything that I need for my exercise. But they need to change that thing that you can used one machine in the next 3 or 4 machine are off the show do one on the another off one on the another off so more people can used the machine. Because with all the machine off the people have to wait to much to used there machine. But besides it everything also is very good

This place offers everything any other Planet Fitness offers. They have a chart in the front which is also very helpful when you want to know what times is not as busy as others I probably go there around 11:30 close to midnight to do my exercising because last time I went at 9 and stayed to 11 and it was really crowded. So definitely look for that chart when you go to your next Planet Fitness

I would recommend this location to anyone my main location is Canal in Chinatown but I moved over here and the place is amazingly clean the customer service is absolutely outstanding and they're so personable they go out of their way to help you I would recommend anybody over there the machines are immaculately clean two thumbs up

Nice trainers, employers are very helpful and attentive, the place is clean too, only negative thing is that some customers go to the gym, seat on the machines to chat and use their phones while others are waiting for them to use the machines they are using for seating and chat not to exercise and anyone said nothing to them.

I always enjoy a good work out at planet fitness, it’s affordable, convenient and great location, I was a member for many years until my personal issues in my life forced me to cancel membership, but now am ready again and I chose planet fitness. Just waiting for reopening. Thanks planet fitness you are one among the best.

I love this gym it’s in my location but I don’t think is fair for us paying customers for these kids to take over the gym and break Machine I think that it should be a time for them to come like 12 to 5 I just came to the gym and had to walk right out because these kids are playing on the treadmill and the other machine

Tried to join the gym but they want your bank info. Can't understand why they won't accept cash. Seems to me they want to take your money. I read the complaint reviews and I see why. In the meantime I joined a gym that accepts cash payments. I see planet fitness closing down soon. Just my two cents

Staff at front desk are vigilant, willing and ready to answer any question. The whole gym is neat, clean and straight.....mentally it helps in so many ways. Good atmosphere to spend your time of exercise. I would recommend to anyone, if you have a low self-esteem, Rockaway is the place to be

Horrible planet fitness do not join. Staff has no customer service skills. You spend your money by joining and get disrespected and scammed. No work ethics. Rude, uptight employees epsecially the females. Appreciate the job or simply don't work. Stay home. Do not join this gym.

Love the staff, chill atmosphere, clean most of the time etc. Only negative is the space itself. It's a pretty small gym, and it gets overcrowded to the point you can't even use a machine sometimes. If the space was bigger with more machines, 5 stars.

Gym is Dirty staff is lazy on Sunday 9/25/22 me and 10 other people waited 40 minutes for the gym to open person was extremely late not professional at all. They need a more mature staff to assist the younger ones.

They need to STOP allowing people to hog the bench machines (while not even using it) spend 45 mins to an hour..wasting other peoples time while they multiple machines by putting their stuff on it. Needs to STOP

Congested equipment but need different equipment no one in Brownsville Brooklyn is using the tan booth. Taking up unnecessary space that can be utilized for better equipment. Fix the floor mat wall mounts.

It works, there is the basic gym equipment, (treadmills, smith machines, le press, cables, dumbbells, kettle bells etc) the only downside is the bench presses and squat racks are only smith machines

First time to this location i just moved from queens. This location is much smaller and it feels like we are working out on top of each other. But its really clean and it still gets the job done

I like the gym even tho it a little small I just wish they will add a few stair climbers and get rid of some of the treadmills. They also need to clean the lockers better mainly the lady’s room.

I guess when u go here u better automatically know everything front desk dude stay glued to his phone instead of explaining the equipment to you or anything else. Very poor customer service...

I have been going here for almost a year. It is always very clean and the staff is kind and knowledgeable. If you're looking to go when the gym isn't packed then, go 5am-8am, 2-3pm, or 8-9pm.

They fire so many of their workers there's always someone new. I get tired of building new relationships with people. I wish they stayed open 24/7 but they're 24/5 or at least make sat 24/7

It's small when compared to others, so you might not find everything you want, or maybe it will look crowded due to size. However, it is well maintained and staff seems friendly enough.

Recently xfer to this gym from the one in jamaica ave. Soo far is one of the cleanest gym i have ever been on, small yet never crowded. Staff is very helpfull. Love this place !

It's tight spot not enough stretching and floor exercising space but it's always clean and the workers are nice. I wish they had a stair climber and a battle rope though.

This gym is a good place to workout only thing is they dont have alot of upper body machines. They have more lower . Its a really small gym not to mention.

Consider going back to 24hours access, it was your best selling point. Or expand the hours, after daylight savings time, or summer hours.

It's an ok place, but don't go for a quick workout. People here tend to sit on the exercise machines on their phones doing nothing.

There is a security guard. The place is large and newly renovated. Usually a bit of a wait, but eventually you get what you need.
