It is so unfortunate that this location is the only location close to Lancaster (Dallas,TX) area. I visited Dallas and went to this location you get a quick workout in prior to an event. I couldn't tell if this was a brand new location or a location that was about to close. There wasn't much Planet Fitness marketing on the walls but some of the paint looked freshly painted. Not sure what was going on with that. The one staff person was nice. The cardio equipment was older. Like it was passed down from another location. But overall the gym space was quiet and equipment was available at 8am. You could tell it was an over 40 crowd that frequented at that time or maybe in general. Maybe that's why the overhead music wasn't that loud almost none existent but it was okay because I had my headphones. Now this is the PRIMARY reason for this low rating. The men's locker room!!! Again with the age demographic I saw this maybe a location that doesn't cater to locker room users so you would think it would be clean! Negative -- it was disgusting!! Mainly the showers. There was mold in the ceiling and on the curtains. It was broken shower heads. You could tell the soap dispensers all over the restroom aren't changed often or cleaned. The faucets were grimy. It was an disgusting disappointment because I had no choice but to spot splash my 'hot spots' and get the heck outta there to get to my event. It was so gross in the shower I dropped my lofa and I threw it away as well as my shower shoes. I couldn't bare putting them in the bag after that. I tried posting photos but they kept disappearing

This site is a nice place; clean, good staff, and stock is never in disarray or lacking. The cleaning staff is very thorough with the floor, locker rooms, and shower areas. The gym staff is very knowledgeable about the equipment, times for use of specialized apparatuses, and the drinks stay in abundance. The gym is not a training ground for Olympic athletes. The people come in all shapes and sizes ANNND races. I've never witnessed any type of disruption from other members that would lead me to view the place in a negative way. There will always be people who are SOCIAL and enjoy their time at the gym in a different ways. Those who are neurotic may view this socializing in a negative way because they are unable to adjust as a normal person might. There are plenty of ways to make your gym experience self contained, and then what others are saying will not affect your workout. The gym is a fine place because all share the same mind set of getting in shape in a small amount of time available to the working class. The late hours are phenomenal because not all the working class work in the daytime. I would recommend this site to any one who has a lifestyle that might benefit from its services.

Don't waste your time or money on Planet Fitness - especially not the Camp Wisdom location. My daughter Cxl'd her account 6 mths ago and they are still trying to charge her CC unauthorized every month. We have turned in a written notice, cancelled her bank account and then they started charging a CC that she used for a 1x pymt. DON'T TRUST THIS CO. THEY WILL ROB YOU BLIND AND THEN TELL YOU THEY ARE AUTHORIZED TO CHARGE AND CARD OR ACCOUNT YOU USE TO PAY THEM WITH. I have had to go file a police report for theft and fraud as well as close my daughters bank account, change her debit card and now we are having to close a totally separate credit card because these thieves are hiding behind a company name and robbing their clients. This location is also Not a part of the BBB - I wonder why, there are plenty of other locations that are but each location is individually owned so they can treat you any way they see fit and the Planet Fitness Corp office doesn't care. But we will see if they care once I start spreading the word of how this company lets it's franchisee's steal and give their company a bad name. I will never do business at any Planet Fitness ever again in life

Initially, I enjoyed this gym. After visiting other locations in the city, I have revised my comments. Planet Fitness is an excellent organization. I am grateful for all the support and the great environment I find when I go to the gym. I must however take this time to share some of my concerns. My primary location for working out is at Camp Wisdom. In comparison to other locations in our city, Camp Wisdom is the most poorly maintained and serviced gym I've visited. Many machines other locations offer are not at the Camp Wisdom location. The exterior has not been painted as other locations. The landscaping and upkeep of the grounds and parking lot are sub standard. In the weeks prior to shelter in place, the paper towel rolls were often empty and the floors had excessive dust and dirt around the machines. There was so much dust and dirt next to machines, I started not putting anything on the floor as I worked out. The Camp Wisdom location needs improvement. I am attaching photos of the exterior to illustrate my point. As we prepare to go back to our gyms, please consider how the Camp Wisdom location can be improved. This community deserves better.

Gym is fine. Some of the equipment is dated but it is functional. During these Covid19 times, masks are not enforced at this location. Take your own health in your hands. Counted five people this morning, 2-24, without a mask even attached to any part of their head. When I notified the staff a day ago about this issue, they stated that they remind folks often but the patrons only put it on while the staff is patrolling. The feeling I got is that they have just given up reminding folks due to this issue. I’m glad I’m not relying on them in a life or death situation. Wait, COVID-19 is a life or death situation. Thankfully, my home gym is back open after repairs and I will go back where the staff and the members are conscientious about masks. It is all about the authority you exude that makes all the difference in the world. Won’t be coming back to Camp Wisdom location for a long long long time to come even though it used to be my home gym for 2018-2019.

It's more like a labyrinth with 3 exercise machines thrown haphazardly around 1,000 treadmills. Prisoners have better gyms. For some reason they have hallways that confine and confuse you into a corral like cattle into a different areas you might want to use. There are 2 water fountains cleverly hidden so you can die of exhaustion. You get what you pay for, unless you get charged the annual fee 3 months after joining the club in the amount of $167.00, at a time when I was barely able to afford to breathe. There is no corporate office, you can't cancel over the phone, and they don't care at the fake front desk. It's riddled with heartless careless robotic drones regurgitating emotionless company jargon. Nobody can bend the rules of the airtight ironclad contract that I bonded myself to. F*** this.

Horrible...their customer service in the gyms and in the corporate office is just despicable. My membership has been over for a while and they refuse to cancel my membership if I don't go to the home location. I've been trying to cancel the membership since April. They said I couldn't until May. I told them again in May and still nothing. Now it's June 08, 2016 and still nothing. I told them I've been sick and can't go to the location and a letter takes forever. They have cost me around $100+ in fees. And they still won't cancel my acct. I haven't used their services for a while since most of the locations have very rude employees. An overall zero stars...no concern for customer satisfaction whatsoever!! Don't be fooled!!!

My husband has stage four cancer and they've been taking money out his account since his had cancer and we called our bank to stop payment and they still have been taking money out for yrs . His been ill with cancer since 2017 . We stopped going about 3 yrs ago . I called and they said I have to bring a note to stop payment. I can't come up there because I have no one to watch my husband . It's sad and I wouldn't encourage anyone to give them there bank info . I will be getting a lawyer to handle this . I've called a few times and explained why we can't go up there . My husband hasn't left the house in yrs . I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone . My husband died June 19, 2021 . So please stay out his bank account .

I am a PF Black card member. I recently moved to South Dallas and I upgraded because this location is close to my area. Well, let's say that I only go here when I am desperate and just want a quick workout in. My complaint is not about the staff or service. You are always greeted with a smile and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. My reason for 2 stars is the outdated equipment and the old smell this place has. I feel like it's not well ventilated like other locations I visit. The lighting is dim and not bright and welcoming. The locker rooms are clean and overall its clean but I wish they had more updated equipment. As soon as they get a facelift I will come back. For now I will keep visiting other locations.

Staff are excellent at gym, great place to work out. I do not recommend going unless you can have someone stand outside and watch your car, walk to gym, or catch a ride to gym. There has been a rash of vehicle break -inns in the AM hours at this gym. When dealing with management; you are told it's not their parking lot. No security staff has been hired, no additional lights, no extra cameras. I have sent an email to regional manager still no response. If this were an isolated incident I could understand. There have been too many break -inns to count. So, if you walk to gym, can have someone stand guard and watch your vehicle, or get dropped off at gym then this is an excellent gym to attend.

Horrible!! Just went in to take a look and the unconcerned staff was HORRIBLE! I told them I had never been in before and wanted to check it out! A young lady finally came from behind the desk and began to tell membership prices as if she was in a race to get rid of me!!!! After which she stated "any questions?" !! "Yes!!!! I have no idea what I would be joining because I've NEVER been here before "!! So... She took me around just as fact as she explained THE PRICES!!! And then stated "the paperwork ( on the table) is yours" I simply walked out! WELL THERE GOES THAT THOUGHT OF JOINING PLANET FITNESS!! I hope the others are better! This one obviously doesn't need members!

I love working out here it's nice and clean . However, I've never visited a planet fitness where I've encountered a rude employee on more than one occasion. I brought two of my sisters there on different days and the little Hispanic girl, whom always seems to have a grouchy attitude, really pissed me off. Today(9/15/17 around 3pm)I attempted to ask her a question regarding bringing in guest with me and she intentionally kept ignoring me and talking over me. I don't know if the employees are rude to customers because of the location in Dallas because I've read plenty of bad reviews of their staff. But luckily a new one will be built in Cedar Hill pretty soon.

Visiting member? There's a log for that. Use the tan? There's a log for that. Use the hydro massage? There's a log for that. Use the massage chair? There's a log for that. I absolutely hate locations who toss that silly guest log in my face. I'm asked to provide my name, address and reason for visiting - which is none of PFs damn business. I pay my annual and monthly fees, leave me alone. Plus all of that information pops up when I check in. If it's that important, have the employees do it. But this is the first location I've ever visited with a log for every service. This location was "okay" but it's time to replace some of the equipment.

Don't sign up to this gym brand they will take your money and it's not worth it. The equipment is boring it's not engaging. My card was charged 42 dollars to use this gym. I didnt like it and I asked for a refund and they refused to give it to me. If a costumer is upset with the quality of any business they would get their money back, not here. I told the manager Jose that I would like my money back because I didnt like what it has to offer and he said no, that I could use the gym til the 16th of July. I dont want to use the gym. Don't use a gym it's a scam use your money for something better not this because it's not worth it.

The manager and staff is super rude and not only that I was in the hospital and my membership was about to end I called a few days before my membership ended and asked him did I need to come up there and do anything and he said no but the next month they still took money out of my account and when I went up there to talk to the manger he was super rude and also didn’t refund me my money back I wouldn’t recommend nobody to go up there especially during the day! They gets no stars from me but they only got one so I could comment and tell y’all about my experience

It gets 1 stars only because it's down the street from my house.....but this gym is always kept dirty and unsanitized. Use tissues and paper towels are always inside the holders on the machines along with candy wrappers and other trash. The employee told me that they only clean the gym at a certain time at night once a day. Disgusting. That means all day you are touching other peoples germ and nasty napkins. They need to hire someone who cleans the gym throughout the day for crying out loud. I cancelled my membership and went to a better clean gym.

Had the worse time attempting to get a membership! Use to be a member of this gym but it doesn’t look like they are willing to upkeep their gym. The attendant Hazle also wasted my time and doesn’t know how to conduct customer service. All I wanted her to do is say I’m sorry and she just stood quiet when I confronted her. Hopes she learns that sometime all you have to say “I’m sorry” and ofcourse keep it moving. I’m sorry but it seems like all the gyms in this area have this either your signing up TODAY Or we don’t want to service you mentality.

This place is very different from other PFs I've visited. There's hardly any staff (usually 3) and they all sit behind the counter, I've never been here and seen any of them cleaning anything. Youll see people use equipment, get sweat all over it, and not clean it and its gross. The place is dirty, and the showers are disgusting. My favorite are their hydro massage beds, they only have 2 and one has been broken for months. The one that's still working is almost always booked. Do yourself a favor and go to the Cedar Hill location instead.

I used to love coming to this gym 5 years. I never in my life seen 1 staff members so disrespectful to kids, adults in my life. This overnight staff worker female treated the kids so wrongful. She laugh about it when they leave. Don't let ppl in the gym and they have a black card. Told them that you can only come to this location 10 times after that wait 90 days. Thats crazy. Somethings wrong with her.. no, I have seen this happen 8 times. Kids wait until she clock out to come in.

I enjoy coming to this location at night. The staff is friendly and the environment is great. Less people working out at night because it can get busy in the morning and afternoons. The showers are good and hot, but the changing room has shower curtains instead of doors which I don’t like because of privacy. This gym is friendlier than the other ones I’ve been too. I’m still exploring other locations though. This location is a little sketchy outside but inside it’s cool.

Always nice and clean. Friendly helpful staff. I've never seen damaged/dirty equipment. Very welcoming accepting environment. The staff will explain how any equipment works to beginners, and they dont stand for intimidation or unwanted attention. Every other gym I've been to , creeps would stare, offer unwanted comments or "workout advice", basically touch me to correct how I'm using a piece of equipment, or try to chat me up. They dont stand for that at PF.

This is store is shady and very dishonest. I was charged for Dec and Jan when I came in, so the representative charged my card. I was told that I would be paying 21.70 for the new month, but he wanted to charge me 25.70 plus tax. I told him he could just cancel the other payments. He said he wouldn't but if I wanted to join another store then that would be fine. Really bad customer service, is that how Planet Fitness trains their employees?

I visit different planet fitness depending on the city that iam working at. All of them have something in common, they all NEED some command strips hooks to hang your clothes in the area where you change after you shower. A chair would be nice too. Duncanville planet fitness, I had to put my clothes on the floor . I didn't like that. Not even a chair to put gym bag on or clothes. Ill bring some command strips next time to help yall out.

Forgot my key card (which is rare for me to forget) and they said they were not able to look me up by phone number or anything, so I wasn't able to workout. I have been able to get in by giving my phone number in the past. I don't know if it's just this location, but it is ridiculous . I had to wait in the front for my husband to workout (our closest location is actually not even close, so we couldn't just go home).

Hits the mark for the area for fitness. Easily could be a 5 star if the rest rooms were clean. Its really bad. Dusty smelly soiled looking. Really needs to give the locker room/ restroom regular attention. Im a regular and i have seen the same dead flys on the comide for 3weeks in a row. 2-3 workers sitting at front desk on phone, maybe have a regular cleaning schedule to tend to the rest room for them.

Terrible experience the staff is beyond rude. The lady at the counter had an extremely nasty attitude towards my mother and I. After she over heard me talking to my mother about her we went to workout. During our workout she sent this big guy up to us who was very intimidating and rude he made us leave and refused to cancel my membership. I will be calling corporate and filling a complaint.

I wont be using these gyms again. I got billed 29.94 after months of thinking I canceled the membership. They only froze the account. I had to take a letter to this location & my REFUND was not given because it was after the 10th. Mind you I was under the impression that the account was canceled. So I didn't know until yesterday that it wasn't. My account was charged. Return my fund !!!

Why do you guys hire people to work the front desk that are unfriendly and rude. They always have a miserable look on their faces like they hate their job and life. The only reason we still go to this location is because its the closest gym around here! I hate rude people! Also this area is so unsafe you should get all the lights fixed from outside there's several that are out!

Today 5/26/16.. Terrible !!! unconcerned staff, the members has no rights,, staff reads at the desk , and then have attitudes !! Here right now and Five televisions (5) ,, are blacked off ,, all staff is behind the desk ,one is even eating, I guess, you get what you pay for !!! I'm out as soon as my ship is over .. Great idea but without a good workforce, , just a bad deal !! .

Worst customer service. I signed up for membership online. Went to the gym on 1/15 they told me my membership was not valid due to incorrect bank acct info I submitted. They would not let me work out that day. I never went back because of their rudeness. 10 days later my acct gets debited for membership fees. Somehow they actually had valid acct on me. Deceptive practices.

Erik was very helpful our first time there, he greeted us as soon as my husband and I stepped inside the door with a smile in his face and full of excitement . Was very friendly and energetic, best planet fitness we've been to so far. Clean, a lot of equipment and very nice. Don't let the negative comments fool you. Seems like this would be our only permanent location.

Discriminatory practices! , I was a guest visitor in the area. All I wanted was to use the restroom from a long trip. Dominique was very rude, Did not let me use the restroom. But their was another lady that used the restroom no problem and she didnt have a guest pass. Disappointed in this Planet fitness. Especially their staff. They need to train their staff better.

Gave me a hard time about canceling my account i canceled it multiple times and then it was transferred to another location. The "manager" told me it was my problem to go to the location where i transferred to they would not do it. I had to create an online account request a transfer and then after all this i realized some one was using my card NEVER GO HERE

The night manager Patrick was very friendly to me and helped me sign up online. I loved the hydro massage bed and tanning bed. I was looking to pale. My favorite is the yellow section of 30-minute weight machine's located at the back wall. The Men's locker room was clean and they provided soap in the shower. Great new gym for me and it's close to my house.

I've been working out at this location for almost two months now. Have been a member at a couple of other national chain gyms and this is without a doubt the best bang for the buck! Clean gym and diverse equipment. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. If you want to get in shape without the drama and "club scene" atmosphere...this is your place.

The gym is fine. It’s got all you need. The issues I encounter are that there is no one in forcing rules. Every morning at 5am this a a group of 8-10 people with a trainer taking up entire sections with no regard for other members who want to use that equipment. It’s ridiculous that I have to dictate my workouts on their schedule.

Gym equipment awesome. If you bring someone with you , they cannot sit to wait on you (in the seating area while you exercise)..boo hiss boo hiss boo hiss. Customer service bad. I'll go back to my church where we have an exercise gym with all the equipment.. may be a little more expensive by a dollar or two but better hospitality

I didn't like that my son couldn't come back in the room with me while I was using the hydro bed. I like to keep a eye on my teen ager. My son have Autism so I worry alot. So I didn't get to use the chair because I was worried about him but everything else was good. The workers were friendly and the place was very clean

This is one of the best facilities I have visited. The layout is great. The inside of the building is clean and well maintained. I always look at the ceilings of a building to determime the level of up keep of a building. The ceiling is painted and well designed. The machines are typical of most Planet Fitness.

Don't join this gym . Staff is not friendly . They don't help you . If you don't have a phone you can't get in because they won't check you in manually . They said "it's your fault" if you don't have a phone or a smartphone . Rude and unprofessional . Better off giving your money somewhere else .

Perfect for me. I drive trucks and in the Dallas area it's hard to find parking so it's cool to be able to get a work out a shower and there's places to eat in walking distance. It's a all around win situation for me. Plus it's never too crowded bathrooms stay fairly clean. And equipment it nice.

Its dirty and they want too much information they want a credit card and your checking acct info to join. The staff there don't know what they are doing it's like 5 ppl at the counter one of them need to walk the facility and make sure tht the binds are empty and the bathroom have toilet paper

Perfect timing I guess because it wasn't busy at all!! Staff was cleaning, water was HOT and the music was jammin! Right now I frequent three different locations and I have to say, so far I think I like this one best! I don't remember how I felt before, but I'm all about this location now!

Great place to work out. Staff are very helpful. Membership fees are definitely more reasonable compared to other gyms. It's clean. Especially good for me as it's so close to my place of residence. And if you need a trainer to design a workout program for you that is available.

The gym it self is nice. Needs to add free lockers. Coming from out of town this was a turnoff. Also, really dark and unsafe outside with the lighting. I work out at 4am and it was alot of women coming in at that time and I'm sure it feels unsafe and uncomfortable.

Well excellent gym and all but you can get trapped into auto renewal and I don't ever remember agreeing to that!! Didn't realize they were taking money out of my account after a year not going there.. very sneaky. Easy to sign up online but not easy to cancel.

The gym that finally got me hooked on trying to get fit. Always friendly folks at this gym and they’ve kept a good atmosphere here. March 2019 update - still happy as a member here. I’m here 8-12 times a month and the atmosphere and crowd here is pretty good.

Don’t go here. Your car will get broken into. Staff knows about it and they will warn you but nothing else will happen. Easy... get security. Walmart has security planet fitness can too. That location is going to lose business if you don’t do something.

Even though the area around this location may not be good. This particular location is great. Lots of equipment, great classes, and amazing staff. I enjoy my experience every time I go. I'm starting to think me and the massage chair are best friends.

Gym is okay. Staff is nice here but lack of bench press is disappointing. If you opened up your membership at a different Planet Fitness, you can only come to this particular PF 10 times. After that, they charge you $5 every visit. Unreal.

My first time visiting this location and was kind of hard to locate at first. Could use some better signage and an outdoor spruce up. Inside the gym is great with plenty of equipment. Staff was friendly and very attentive to cleanliness.

Its open 24/7 which i absolutely love because I don't have to adjust my schedule in any way to show up. Its always super clean and the staff is very friendly here. I love the Black Card Membership, which makes every penny worth.

Excellent I go there all the time, the staff is very respectful. I lost a ring one time and they found and put it in their vault. Some of the equipment could be due for a little upholstery. Beside that, great.

Five stars of course. Always something to do even through this pandemic if one station is all taken the 30 minute whole body workout room is a great place to go with confidence. Yes always something to do.

Overall, very attentive staff. Members lack the courtesy in racking the weights and actually picking up paper towels. Gym easy to navigate. Purple tootsies would be a nice addition. Enjoy your workout.

The staff needs to be more friendly and the equipment needs to be replaced or fixed. Also the light is very low. Honestly I prefer Cedar hill location way better and more friendly.

1st time there alot of machines were broken. They didnt even have the thought to put a broken sign . On it or anything. And they hand out chocolate after a work out. Who does that?

I went for the massages. I used both. The one where you lie down and the one where you sit. I was disappointed it was only 7 min lying down. In Utah, it's 15 min. Oh well.

The is no pool or sinus there. That's a major drawback for me. They do have a massage machine one where you can lay down in the other where you can sit down.

An inexpensive gym with an abundance of cardio machines, Hydromassage tables, Massage Chairs, Tanning Beds, and state of the art equipment, machines, etc.

As a black card holder, I have been to many Planet Fitness locations throughout the states and this is one of the best organized that I have seen so far.

The parking lot is small I love it because it's in my neighborhood, however they should have chosen a building with good parking like across the street.

I absolutely love it here. The environment is just chill and the restroom are clean which is a bonus. BB is a great trainer, she definitely pushes you.

Great gym with even greater prices. However, there are some broken machine that should get fixed ASAP UPDATE: machines were fixed promptly. 5 Stars!

Cons: the dont have a place to park my bicycle. Pros: the place is clean. I'm a cyclist so i will have to cancel once my contract is up.

I love this location. I workout at night and jason is very helpful. Ulises is very motivational. He helped me realize my true potential.

Amazing gym and their machine have been improved big time over the years which the machines now can record your counts doing your sets.

Loved the atmosphere although I was not prepared for the cost and responsibilities of a gym membership. Definitely will come back again

They're stepping up their equipment, staff were friendly. Trashcans are always full, but the bathrooms are always relatively clean.

Real 24/7 didn't let us down as for Thanksgiving. Most clubs were closed on Thanksgiving but this one remained open. Thanks a lot

Didn't stay based on concerning reviews. I had something I didn't feel safe leaving in my car based on what I read so I left.

Been to over 30 clubs in 6 states, this one was great. More weight lifting and machines than most. Employees were very nice.
