20 years into collecting kicks this is my 1st Bad experience. Been a shoe collector for most of my life and decided to buy a pair of New Balances. Decided on the 574s ' grey day' with the grey and blue suede. 2 months into wearing the shoe. Rotating with my other kicks . the right shoe , at the front and sides the suede basically tore open Left side was basically brand new still. Went into the Watergardens store and told them the situation. Advised it was only 2 Months and the shoe is already breaking down and it wasn't from use but from what I believe is a fault with the material. I have at least 30 pairs in my possession and have never had a pair worn out so fast. Plus being a kicks collector , I tend to look after my shoes. Cut a long story short the rejected my shoes saying it was wear and tear ??!!! Which is absolutely bullcrap. I was so upset but I had my daughter with me and there were a few ppl.i the store . I kept it professional and walked out. What upset me the most was she even said it does look like a fault within the shoe however , management said its damage and there's nothing she can do. I walked out and dumped the shoes into the first bin I saw along with platypus bag. I'll stick to footlocker from on.

My partner went to this store today to exchange a pair of shoes that I had purchased him as a gift that were one size too big, he had the receipt but not the box. The manger was extremely rude and dismissive and said he couldn’t exchange without the box. My partner said he was happy to take the new shoes without a box, leaving a box for the exchanged shoes but the manager just flat out refused and was so rude about it!! He wouldn’t give him the time of day. So now we’re stuck with a $110 pair of shoes that we cannot do anything with over a box! Obviously I’ve now put in a formal complaint to head office. I will never shop in any of these stores again. I can get the same shoes in a million other stores anyway with far better service.

On the 4rh March 1130:am we went to exchange the shoes we bought 2 days earlier as present for my dad's birthday, there was a young lady who didn't want to change the shoes because she said that there was a bit of dust under them. We gently explained that my dad tried them on walking in the house to see if they were comfortable to his foot, but she insinsted, saying that there was no way to change them. She was very rude and me and my dad were really upset about her behaviour and walk off the store. We then went to another store where they changed them straight away. We are talking about 300$ pair of shoes, we will never get back in there, Watergardends shopping center. Platypus store. Or any other Platypus store ever.

I came in to buy some white shoes for work/casual wear and I was assisted by Alessia. She was super bubbly and extremely helpful. She gave me so many good recommendations on shoes that I would not have even thought of prior to receiving her help. She was very customer focused and listened to exactly what I needed and I ended up with a great pair of shoes. Great customer service!!

I was bought the wrong pair of shoes as I wanted slip on’s and my wife has purchased me shoes with laces. So I went to take the shoes back and the manager has said they have been worn in fact they have not. The shoes were never worn and they still did not refund or exchange. I have notified consumer affairs in regards to there practice.

Came in for a simple refund, denied my refund even though it was less then a week of purchase for shoes that do not fit and havent been worn. Disgraceful by the company to go against the law based on "company policies". Looking forward to contacting both the head office and the Consumer Affairs Victoria

I went into the store to find a specific pair of shoes, unfortunately this store didn’t stock it but the gentleman that served me the receipt says “Korey” was extremely helpful and ordered the shoes in for me, couldn’t have received better service from anyone, I will definitely be back …

Walked in had 4 staff member talking about weekend or what not, 2 had back to point of sale no one interested in customer service!? wanted a pair of shoes went to footlocker. Worst experience in a retail outlet no help at all from, i cant believe 4 staff members.

Alyssa was unbelievable today at Watergardens . Best customer service we’ve had in a while. She was kind, patient and helpful. Give her a pay rise Platypus.

Small store but had everything I wanted available, and the staff were helpful with picking what was right for me and making sure I get the right sizing's
