An all round terrible service. I moved into a new property and was having trouble with the underfloor heating and called an emergency 24/7 plumber out. Joe came out and recommended that we have a new boiler installed as the old one he felt wasn't powerful enough for the size of the house. Was able to come out same week to install along with a powerflush and i needed it done ASAP as I have a 6 month old baby so agreed. Came out and removed old cylinder and installed combi boiler and a powerflush. £4000 for this service. Fired up the boiler and was advised to leave on for 24 hours for it to allow the underfloor heating to really warm up. As we later discovered, the underfloor heating hadn't been installed correctly which is why it wasn't producing the type of heat we required, no fault of Joe's. He used his thermal imaging camera to show me how the pipes were running under ground and there clearly weren't enough and had been laid sporadically, a poor job by the original engineer but this all could have been detected without a new boiler! Joe could have fired it up originally and put thermal imaging on to see what was going on under the floor first before advising of a new boiler. After all, the upstairs radiators were all producing more than a sufficient amount of heat so the boiler was doing a great job! Conclusion: Easy money for him to install a new boiler, an opportunist as we were in a fairly desperate position. The boiler was fine, the underfloor heating install was the issue. After doing the install, Joe didn't vent the radiators before leaving so the radiators weren't producing the desired heat. I had to go round and vent them all which he should of done before departing as his services stated he would leave once the system is all running correctly, he was in a rush and only done half a days work on second day and almost forgot to reconnect the hot water to the upstairs bathroom which he had to come back and do. So with me venting the radiators, naturally the pressure dropped in the system and needed to be topped up, Joe had told me the wrong valve to turn to add pressure to the system. I had to then watch a youtube video of the correct method of how to top up the pressure, school boy instructions from Joe. So 2 days in, the boiler shows a waterflow fault, no hot water, no heating. I call Joe, he tells me to reset boiler, vent the system, vent the radiators etc, all tried but nothing works. Bearing in mind not once did he offer to come out and take a look even though he claims to guarantee his work for 12 months and also noting the fact i have a 6 month old child in the house! This continued for two or three days with him attempting to diagnose over the phone. He can give a professional opinion over the phone, he can't make a conclusive diagnosis without looking at it which he didn't once offer to do. Instead, he palmed me off on to the manufacturer as they provide a 10 year guarantee. I now know why they install these boilers, they have a long guarantee so they put the onus on the customer to contact the manufacturer to come out so they don't have to. Conclusion: POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I get in touch with Ideal and they came out after 4 days, in which time we have no heating or hot water. The engineer changed the pump but still nothing, then ordered a heat exchanger and said he would be back to install once its arrived. Another 5 days with no hot water or heating and Joe still hasn't come out. The Ideal engineer eventually came out and changed the heat exchanger and lo and behold, it was completely blocked which is why the boiler showed a water flow fault. Conclusion: The powerflush hadn't been performed correctly, so debris had been left in the system and despite there being a filter on our system, it still clogged up the heat exchange and caused these problems. I contacted Joe to tell him that the fault was due to a blocked heat exchange and fortunately for us, the engineer changed it for us without charging despite it not being covered by the warranty, a small solace in an otherwise dreadful

(continued from Harvir Deo review) experience. I informed him that the flush hadnt been performed correctly and he would have to come out and redo it. Joe wanted to charge again for the flush which is a disgrace! It was due to the fact he hadnt performed it correctly in the first place as to why we were in this position. I now realised that we wouldnt get anywhere with him so cut all contact as his unco-operative attitude wasnt going to change. He charges £650 for a powerflush which he spent barely 2 hours on. To give you an idea, British Gas charge £800 but their engineer came in at 9am and didnt leave until gone 5pm!!! The powerflush was performed throughout the whole day! It was a full days powerflush, no wonder our system became blocked, after a quick 2 hour flush. What was stuck in the heat exchange was small stones, dirt and debris. Joe told me to google power flushing to see what it covers as he states it flushs debris sludge and rust not rocks. However, the definition of debris is "loose natural material consisting especially of broken pieces of rock." So clearly, he doesnt know what he's talking about and he didnt bother to come out to see what came out so cant comment, it wasnt nothing out of the ordinary, only what would've came out had he performed it correctly originally. Conclusion: He rushed the job, easy money, no attention to detail, terrible customer service, no apology, no acknowledgement of fault. Final Note: USE WITH CAUTION, THIS GUY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE

Plumbing-heating-gas This company is fantastic!!! My old valiant boiler was leaking and water was dripping from the underside of the boiler. This is when I picked my phone up and called Plumbing-heating-gas and explain my problem that my boiler was making a kettling noise and reatching increasingly high temperatures and was leaking. I was quite conncerned and told the engineer that it was a bit of an emergency and he said that's no problem and arrived at my house in an amazing 25 mins. He sadly told me he had to shut off my boiler and make it safe. He then talked me threw my options and made them all very clear and answered any questions I had. I then choose to go forward with an ideal vouge with 10 year warranty!!!. Then I asked when is the soonest you would be able to do it thinking I would have to wait a week without heating and hot water only to be astonished when he said I will move all of my jobs I have in for tomorrow to accommodate you. This is a wonderful service and I was delighted the boiler it is 1000 times better then my last, my house heats up in minutes and my hot water is so hot iv had to turn it down it's a fantastic boiler and an even better service this company provided me. Not sure how to balance out my score... My boiler started leaking so it was an emergency. The process of booking an appointment was smooth and pleasant, and an engineer was able to get to mine the same day. He was able to stop the leak and after assessing the situation he recommended that I should replace the boiler. Then the invoice came... They charge by the hour and apparently their policy is to charge for the full hour even if they've worked only part of that hour. That's a pretty steep difference when the hourly rate is £140+VAT. Also, when I called to book the appointment, I was told the cost for the call-out and the hourly rate but I can't remember being told that it was not inclusive of VAT. I'm not saying they definitely didn't because human memory is famously unreliable but... it had to be quite obvious to them that I was a private individual client who normally doesn't deal with VAT and I find the practice of quoting cost ex. VAT in such circumstances a bit dishonest... So all in all, £430 pounds for 1.5 hours (charged as 2 hours), no leak but also no hot water. In the current cost of living situation... OUCH!

This is the worst company we've ever had to deal with. We got a quote from him to replace 2 toilets, a wash basin and do a little tileing 1. He broke a £70 clock and didn't offer to either pay us for it or replace it. 2. Wasn't going to replace the upstairs toilet until I showed him his original quote which stated he had indeed quote for such. 3. He then became quite rude and had an "attitude" towards us. 4. Then tried to charge me "extras" such as tile grout and adhesive. Even though he quoted for "laying tiles" 5. He then told me that to take the rubish away he would have to charge me £250 ! I checked with the local council and found the most is would cost was about £30 based on weight. 6. After he left, both toilets moved when you sat on them. Neither toilet would flush properly and we have to flush 2-4 times. He fixed upstairs loo but after over 6 weeks downstairs loo still doesn't flush properly. I could say a lot more but I think you get the just... A Very rude man... So BEWARE !!!

Plumbing surgery (£1.6K rip off) Called for a leaking pipes in a humble village local pub for a work which picked up by this gentlemen. Offered to do £145 per hour instead £250 per hour from where job is originally posted source. Next day though. Not emergency any more isnt it. Ended up got forced to pay £1.6K at one go for 8 hours on the dot or have been threatened off getting all pipework ripped and got smashed in front of my customers if wasnt paid in full where no ball park or heads up given at least. Struggled to explain to Joe that wasnt expected this much of bill and got yelled and smashed the phone on my face for offering to pay in couple day installments. (2 days apart, how dare we are) Not questioning the knowledge or quality of the work but for the scope and for the treatment and stress over the phone, 1.6K not well deserved.

Frustratingly for us, we've needed to have a fair amount of plumbing, heating and gas work done since moving house! Luckily we've been able to use Joe (and Dan) who have replaced a boiler, radiators, bathroom and come round quickly when we've had a gas leak (unrelated to their work!). They've been friendly and helpful on every occasion. The biggest help has been suggesting things we could do, to help us get a fantastic family bathroom which feels like a luxury space. Completely transparent about costs at every point. A trustworthy and reliable company. Kept the house clean when working and we were happy to leave keys with them. Very happy to recommend - we love our new bathroom though hoping that we don't find any more issues to need more work!!

DO NOT USE THEM!! Absolute scam. After turning up at the property, they told me about a £249/hr charge to check the boiler, which I had to agree due to leak in the boiler. And after isolating a couple of pipes (which is a 20 min job, and they took around 2 hrs), charged me over £700. All this for doing nothing but telling me that the boiler is faulty & to get it replaced, it would cost me another £3000 at a discount rate. Do not fall for their scam. They go to the local plumb store & waste time deliberately writing notes....where you are getting charged at their astronomical rates. AVOID AT ALL COSTS This is the reply to your response Yes, it was your company, as the man who turned up wore your uniform and had the same van as yours

Joe has been a life saver, we recently moved into a house that needed a bit of work, but when we moved in we found there was a gas leak. I followed plumbing heating gas on instagram so thought I would give them a call, Joe was able to come that evening (by luck he had actually visited the property before with the previous owners and was aware of the issue. Joe was able to come back the next evening (despite being completely booked up for a month and a half) and fit us a new boiler. Unfortunately there was still a leak so he was able to come back the next evening and reroute our gas pipes and seal off the dangerous ones. Thank you Joe for making our home safe and they have certainly made customers for life with us.

After an installation they carried out started to leak they failed to show up for an arranged early morning appointment to resolve it. No phonecall received to say they would not be attending. VERY ANNOYING when you have waited in for somebody and they do not show. To my dismay this also happened on the rearranged appointment. On the first occasion I was told they they had attended a late night callout till 4 am and were catching up on sleep and they second occasion when my call was finally answered (over an hour after they were due to arrive) I was given a cock-n-bull story about getting the times muddled up. No apologies were ever given. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had a boiler leak and my wife panicked and phoned this company. They charged us £292.80 to look at the boiler and confirm it was faulty and needed replacing. They quoted us over £4k for a new boiler. The Engineer was pushy and insisted my wife speak into a device to say she accepts the charges. He was there for 15 minutes. We then spoke to British Gas who came the next day, could not have been more friendly, went through everything and the cost was only £74! They also quoted the same spec boiler at over a £1,000 less. How these companies get away with these tactics is beyond me.....be very wary.

Could not be more pleased... such an excellent service; quality work, and good price. Friendly helpful and quality wrapped up in one package. This was a relatively small job, replacing a toilet and repairing the other but the service was fabulous. Arrived nice and early and finished, tidied up (in fact it was cleaner after they left than before they arrived!) and were gone within a couple of hours. Payment after the work, with proper invoicing and the option to pay electronically too. Brilliant. I would not go elsewhere now for any job, large or small. Very happy to recommend!

Amazing service. Attended my evening emergency call out within the specified time I was given. A quick and knowledgeable diagnosis was given on my boiker and possible solutions with no pressure to buy a new boiler. We went for a new boiler and had it installed the next day at a fair price. Very understanding on financial restrictions and happy to help in any way he can. Arrived nice an early in the morning (earlier than specified time) and just cracked on with the job. After months of being let down by my heating insurers I was given a recommendation to try Joe at Plumbing Heating Gas. Within a short visit he identified the issue which the other guys had failed to discover over a period of months!! Amazingly he came out the next day and fitted a new boiler and pump and for the first time in weeks I have heating!! I can wholeheartedly recommend this company for their professionalism, hard working ethic and genuine customer service. A fully deserved five star review.

I've used Plumbing-Heating-Gas a few times now and have never been disappointed. We wanted a new bathroom & they took care of everything. They removed the old one, consulted on how to make the best use of the space we have, which fittings/parts to use for our budget and managed the whole thing from start to finish. Having been let down big time by British Gas I found this company and was pleased that they came round in the afternoon, it would have been another week for British Gas! Joe confirmed that my old boiler had died, but could come round the next day to install a new one. Arrived on time, and by late afternoon my home was warm and had hot water again! Our very old boiler finally broke down on a Monday evening. Within an hour Joe was round confirming it was indeed a write-off and then amazingly promising to fit a new one the following afternoon. He arrived at the stated time and completed all the work including outside work for a new flue in just under 5 hours. Everything was done to a very high standard and I am very pleased with the result.

Charged my neighbour over £2,500 to fit a cheap pump and a mid position valve that has no warranty. The warranty sticker was 3yrs out of date. Drained the water tank in the loft and the hot water cylinder when only the heating system needed to be drained.... unnecessary labour and costs. Trading standards are investigating. Avoid at all costs.

From initial contact to completing the emergency repair, Joe and Daniel were polite and professional. Daniel had to remove a floor board to get to the leak which he did with a lot of care and precision.
