It's amazing experience to sail to Venice by boat. Metre by meter view is more beautiful, buildings emerge from the sea. Recognizable towers of St. Mark's Square and beautiful look to the high deck of the ship. If you have a chance to arrive by boat in the Venice, it is something you can not miss. You will enjoy every second of the way. Ferry from the Greece is one of the best, the ride last for 24 hours from Corfu (Kerkira) and it is unique experience.

The people mover is a mono rail train on elevated railroad, running from Piazzale Roma to the Cruise Terminal and further. It provides a convenient (one stop, less than 5 minutes) and inexpensive (€1.5 per person per trip) connection between Roma and Cruise Terminal. The coach is modern and spacious. Highly recommended for cruisers, especially those who are on a tight schedule but want to have a chance to see this side of the city centre.

It's ok, but could've been designed more conveniently for customers. For example, the road from the People Mover station to the cruise ship is so rough and hard to roll your suitcase for so long. I realize this is a first world problem, but I'm just warning you to pack light for your cruise, or possibly regret it when you're lugging it for what seems like forever!

Venice port is huge and a lot of walking or shuttling to get to the main part of Venice. They need to optimize time to get to Venice and reduce confusion of how to find your shuttles.

Beautiful time to stsy a weekend in Venice is early October. After summer crowds but before rain and floods. Hopefully money cancer found for the flood defences for this unique city

This port is not in use any more. Ask the local where exactly the port is! Otherwise you will miss your boat/cruise/ ferry or whatever!

Pleasant experience, but one should not go out of the way to visit there, unless you are coming from or going on a cruise.

Its a port all depending on your port terminal all depends how far you have to walk but next to nothing for shops or food.
