Just like any personal services, I kept changing dentists hoping to find one that actually cares about their patients, gentle, and educational. It was a lot of ask for but Dr Franny hit all 3 of these qualities. She did 8 cavities on me and I was not anxious before each appointment because it did not hurt at all. Usually I am terrified of the anesthesia injection but dr Franny made it felt like nothing. And I really appreciate that. I also appreciate how professional she is explaining and showing me the before/after photos of what was going on/what she did. My husband is now going to her as well, he really like her too. I will also take my 14 months old boy to her when he is ready. I trust Dr Franny 100%, she truly CARES about your dental health, not just someone trying to rush and make a quick buck. It’s hard to find a health care provider who truly care nowadays!

Dr. Frannie is a wonderful dentist, as she has taken great care of us for the past few years. We loved being patients of Dr. Liberman at Portola Smiles, and we are very grateful to get to continue at Portola Smiles with Dr. Frannie. The culture of the office is to share with the patients what's going on, explain treatment plans thoroughly in language we can understand, and then come up with a plan to address whatever work is needed. Getting to ask questions and really understand what is going on with dental health is key for patients to get the care they need, and Dr. Frannie has been great to work with. Megan, who works the front desk, is wonderful as well, and so helpful when you need help with insurance or other questions related to billing. If you're looking for an amazing dentist who takes their time and knows what they're doing Dr. Liberman is it! From the moment I met her I felt so comfortable even though I am a bit scared of getting dental work done. I came to her with a very complicated procedure and she took care of me beginning to end. I actually had gone to 3 other dental offices before I found this one and every single one said they weren't able to fix my teeth. Dr. Liberman was confident and precise and her work shows it. I'm so happy I found her. The best dental experience I've ever had. I've referred my whole family to her office and I will be taking my daughter to her very soon. Thanks again Dr. LIberman!!

Dishonest practice. I wanted to get my braces removed. They told me they would check me and see if they could remove them, they charged me 90 for the appointment. I sat down and the Dr didn’t even check my mouth when she came in telling me they didn’t have the equipment to remove my braces. They knew all along they wouldn’t be capable of doing the work but still charged me to “check if they could remove them”. They just wanted the money, why not being honest ever since the beginning by saying they couldn’t do the job so I could go look for different options. They take advantage of people, no wonder they didn’t have any client or appointment.

I rarely write reviews and I really dislike going to the dentist, but this is how much I like Portola Smiles that I am writing a review. I use to get really nervous going to the dentist. I've had bad experiences. Portola Smiles make going to the dentist a pleasant experience. Dr. Franny and her team are super friendly, patient, flexible and great about giving all the information you need to make the best decision about your teeth. I highly recommend Dr. Francine Abad and Portola Smiles.

Although I'm not happy to be back in the Bay Area, I am more than pleased to return to Dr. Liberman. She is the best dentist I've seen in my 51 years of life. Always friendly, authentic, and talks you through every procedure. Becky in the front office is accommodating, especially since my work schedule can be hectic and I usually reschedule at least twice before actually going in for my viists. I highly recommend you seek out Dr. Liberman if you work or live in the area.

I love Portola Smiles. Megan is really friendly and very efficient with all the covid procedures. Whenever Marelda cleans my teeth, we chat like we’re old friends. Del has been on my left side through quite a bit of fillings and is quiet and funny. I started with Dr. Lieberman and she took really good care of me, and the transition to Dr. Abad has been seamless. I will be coming here as long as I have a sweet tooth left in my head!

Amazing experience and wonderful staff! I’m a very nervous patient and came with many questions as it had been a long period of time since I had visited the dentist the first time I came to Portola Smiles. Francine has been my dentist for over 2 years and she’s a wonderful dentist and so is the rest of the staff. They are all super kind and professional - guided me through any type of treatment (including a year long process of Invisalign) and I literally walk out there with a smile every time. That’s not something you can easily say about your dentist experience. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Liberman and her conscientious and caring staff are taking the utmost precautions during Covid and at the same time keeping patients comfortable. I have been a patient of Dr. Liberman for 15 years and she is an excellent clinician, striking the perfect balance of conservatism and intervening when needed. I give her the highest recommendation for adults as well as for kids!

I’ve had great experiences at this dentist office. Dr. Lieberman fit me in for an emergency filling during the pandemic, and I’ve been back for two cleanings. Her work is solid and she takes the time to get to know each patient. She takes all of my questions seriously and provides a thorough discussion. I would recommend this office to anyone!

Great experience getting my cavities filled! They made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the entire process, which really put my mind at ease. Finding a dentist can be stressful. I am so happy I found Dr. Liberman’s practice! I love her practice, from her staff (who were all amicable, helpful and inviting) to her office (which was very clean and organized).
