Would only give one star if it wasn't for their star employee, Kevin who turned around what was initially a very bad experience... Placed an online order that shipped from this store, and received an incorrect item. Called PB customer service, and they told me I had to contact the store directly for assistance. Called the store, and woman who answered rudely cut me off mid-sentence, while I was in the middle of briefly explaining my issue, exclaiming that she was "going to cut me off" because they weren't open yet, and I had to call back after 11am. Odd...if they weren't open yet, why answer the phone? Or maybe let me finish my sentence then nicely ask me to call back, or offer to call me back in 30 mins when your store is open? Overall, she had a very snotty attitude and it was all I could do to not correct her on her terrible customer service skills. I felt as if I was being scolded for asking them to correct their mistake, which would have taken less than 5 minutes, but apparently whatever she was doing was more important than helping a longtime PB customer. I understand the holiday season in the retail industry can be crazy, but that's no excuse to treat a customer poorly. I've worked in high-end retail stores, and would have been fired for treating a customer the way she treated me! Anyway, I called back 30 mins later, and was promptly assisted by a nice gentleman named Kevin. He quickly identified the issue and packed up the correct item to be shipped to me, while being very humble and apologetic for their mistake. The entire transaction took him less than 5 minutes. The first woman I spoke with should take note of this...THIS is what good customer service should be! Fingers crossed that my next online order from PB does NOT ship from this store...
This happened recently, we entered the store in not what you would expect clothing from a casual buyer type attire, and we were simply ignored. We went pass some employees looking confused and obviously finding for help, but none tried to. Time goes by, we began to search and examine the products, and we were about to ask an inquiry and still no one was their to accompany us. This mostly occured in the store’s lower level, which was basically abandoned. One did came down, but not to assist us, but simply relieve themselves. They helped, but sparesly. Gave us advice and answers, but were immediatly contradicted when we asked the front. Before reaching the counter, we saw a couple of employess who also ignored us and were just standing idly on their PHONES. Back to the misinformitation, the employees at the front were very confused of the infromation we realyed from the employee who passed us downstairs. At the end, we just wasted our time and came out with nothing but dissaspointment. We are frequent customers of Pottery Barn, but this display of this specific store left a bad taste in my mouth.
Terrible Experience! My fiancée and I recently traveled to NY to register for our wedding and this was one of the stores we visited. In comparison to our experience at registering at Macy's, William-Sonoma, and Tiffany's this company and its employees were an absolute disgrace. Every single person here was rude, uncaring, and unwilling to help us, except for one guy named Marvin, who was the complete opposite of all the things I just said. I reached out to PB on twitter after this and received a generic response from a social media manager to which I emailed her a detailed account of our experience. Her response to that was less than ideal. "I'll forward your message onto management." I asked to have someone else contact me and no one did. If it was up to me none of my friends and family would be spending their money at this company for and my fiancée
I had ordered some merchandise online, was unhappy with the quality, so returned the order to the store (near Lincoln Center). First, the hours of operation posted online are wrong, so on a recent very cold morning I found myself wandering around the UWS waiting for them to open. Once inside (with the other customers who had seen the same misinformation) the sales clerk could not have cared less. I returned my merchandise, and was told that my refund would be reflected in my bank statement in 3-5 days. Apparently the "printer was jammed" so the clerk could not give me a receipt. Imagine my surprise when today, I received a merchandise credit card (like a gift card) in the amount of my purchase. Pottery Barn, I will not shop there again. Your merchandise quality is poor and your customer service is bad. It's a recipe for a failing company.
Phoned the Broadway, New York location to inquire about a coffee table I saw online but was only available in one metal and not the darker one and wanted to know if it is coming back or I can still order dark metal. The gal who answered the phone who claimed she is one of the managers was so incredibly brief and rude and told me I don’t know because we don’t have one on our floor. I told her it was the Brockton could she look it up or check to see if just out of stock or discontinued and she just said I can’t we don’t have one on our floor and she had a nasty, irritated sound to her voice. So incredibly lazy and obnoxious. I then called another location and she was very sweet and checked on the SKU number for me and felt it was coming back just sold out. Broadway location needs major attitude adjustment.
I went to purchase bath towels and it was a disgusting experience. If you shake the towels large amounts of dirt dust and filth fill the air highly visible. My blouse & face were covered in it which was beyond disturbing. The floor staff & Manager all had different lies to tell about why their products are that way and were extremely nervous. They brought out a packaged, unwrapped towel. I shook it and it had no dirt and dust whatsoever. Turns out - products are placed on the sales floor from their filthy stock room after they have been sitting there exposed and unwrapped to their air conditioning system which is connected to external filth. I would never return to Pottery Barn & ordered from Frette. Always shake your towel or product with fabric before buying. What you see - is what you get.
I normally love Pottery Barn for its beautiful on-trend products. However, I learned the hard way not purchase higher end products bc after 30 days PB does not have guarantees or warranties. I regret purchasing Pottery Barn roman shades because the mechanics stopped working (they wouldn't stay down ) after a year. They were not cheap and it happened to more than one roman shade we had purchased. PB said after 30 days they do not replace or exchange items even if they stop working. We've purchased from other companies selling similar shades in the same price price point in the past that stood behind the quality of their products but not the case with Pottery Barn. Very disappointed after calling PB customer service and was told I'm basically out of luck.
I inquired about purchasing an item (garland) included on a Christmas tree in the store. An employee asked someone who appeared to be a manager (K.). K. informed me that I could not purchase the garlands because he “didn’t want to disturb” the displays this early in the season. He was incredibly rude to me and dismissive, and would not assist me further. So, I contacted the flatiron store and was able to purchase multiple items. Even the flatiron employees agreed that the conduct of employees at the UWS store was ridiculous. If items are in the store, customers should be able to purchase. It’s a place of business that’s selling Christmas decorations! I frequently shop in store, and I’ve never had such a negative experience.
Luis and his team are exceptional and go above and beyond to make sure your experience exceeds expectations. We had ordered a couch online and when it wasn’t what we expected, we headed into the store and had the pleasure of Luis helping us. Not only was he understanding and professional, he was compassionate about making sure we got exactly what we needed. He helped me choose a couch that fit our needs and a fabric that will be suitable and durable having two dogs. This store regularly checked in with us and shared updates on our delivery. They also contacted head office for us when needed. This store is a staple on the UWS, they really know service and are educated on the brand.
very poor quality, very poor customer services... will never buy anything from them. I ordered a right sectional sept the 16th and got it delivered 3months later (got delayed a 1st time for unknown reason, then it got lost,...). Then they didn't deliver me the right model but I was already so frustrated and didn't want to wait another 3months, so i have accepted to keep it. finally, after a couple of days i realized the right side of the sofa was leaning. I have been calling and emailing a 100 times the customer services to have the frame replaced but as usual, they are completely missing in action.
Avoid at all costs if you’re looking to buy furniture. I ordered the Harper bed, paid for white glove delivery, and my bed was improperly set up (screw missing and slats put in the wrong places). I cannot put my mattress on this bed or sleep on it because it is structurally unsound and will break. I have called Pottery Barn customer service four times: I wasted three days waiting for an automated email to which I could attach photos (which I never received), and now they’re saying it’s 7-10 business days to get a response to my claim. Save yourself time and money and purchase furniture elsewhere.
Terrible customer service. They acted put off by having to check prices on their merchandise which rarely had price tags and the ones which did were incorrect. Charged full price on their display items which had fingerprints all over them even when they had no more of the item packaged. When I asked if there was a discount for the display item they were terse and literally shrugged their shoulders at me when I commented on how strange that was. Trust me, spend the extra money and just go down the street to Williams Sonoma instead.
You'd feel this is a respectful place and a high-quality brand. But this is a complete fraud! Be aware of any estimated price you're getting from them. They are tricking customers with marketing/manipulation tactics to get you in the door! No one knows how the price is constructed, you will get an initial estimate to get you interested, but once you come to pay for it, it will be 25%-40% more. There are so many decent, reliable companies in the city; please do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with them.
Love Pottery Barn and this store is big and has wide selection. Always buy stuff from them. However the customer service I received today from two sale persons were unpleasant. They acted like I'm begging for their stuff for free. The lady who was "helping" me was cold, gave me stone face, never smiled, never said thank you, at some point she even said to the other guy that "I'm still stuck with this customer"..Seriously? You're stuck with me when I'm purchasing stuff from your store...Oh her name is Luci..
Split-level location that isn't as extensive or well-laid-out as bigger PB stores but makes up for that lack with good customer service. Staffers will help you track down what isn't on display and work hard to identify that thing you vaguely remember but can't name. They're also pretty deft at knowing who needs help, who's browsing and who just needs a hassle-free 10 minute chill on a sofa. Note: the store does have a big inventory hidden away, so if you don't see it -- yup, really do ask for it.
The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER ! ONLY EMPTY PROMISES . The promise me "0" interested for 1 year if I was doing a credit card with them and I been pay a lot interest so far !!! trying to reach out the manage of the store by email and phone and the guy always put me an hold for over 30 min and I end up to give up , any answer to my email ...I will never shopping to this store again , the worst costumer service . Loredana Cannia
This is a review for PB online. DO NOT ORDER any furniture with them online!!! They charged my credit card at the time of purchase but the delivery took more than 6 months to arrive! They kept delaying the estimated delivery time. It’s very frustrating and not what one would expect from a big and established company like PB. Do yourself a favor and order from Wayfair, Overstock or Amazon and get free and fast delivery!
Luv the decorations and the lineup they have. They make the store visually homey and conforming. It makes you want to look around and envision how your house would look with thr specific items they sell. The bathroom is gorgeous and located perfectly in thr back next to the iteranaries and bath towels. So on the way you are prepared to go in thr bathroom and be in there comfortable as. If it's. Your own bathroom.
If I could give zero stars I would. I tried calling to speak with someone about an order that was incorrect and was hung up on after I asked to speak with a manager. I was told they were too busy and then they proceeded to hang up on me. Every time I go into this store it’s a terrible customer service experience. Will never shop here again and suggest you find somewhere else to shop, as well.
This is the perfect season to lure home comfort seekers in search for wamth influences! The thick cable knit throws are a must touch, for the sensation of plush! The cream tones emphasizes the base tones of falling leaves. There is a constance blend of soft pastel patterns from furniture, sheets, pillows to wall art. It's a stroll throw warmth on a New York fall day! Enjoy!
Lucinda was a fabulous help to our family as we searched for the perfect sleeper sofa for our house. She went above and beyond to make sure we found one that fit our space and our other needs. She also helped us understand the differences in mattresses available. She even followed up with us a few times to see if we had any additional questions. Highly recommend her!
Poor customer service. Nobody acknowledged me or offered to help. I stood at one counter and the employee, on the phone, couldn't even give me a look like I see you. Went to another counter and nobody said a word and a worker pushed passed me in line to ring up a person behind me without any sort of "we'll be right with you." Guess I'll take my money elsewhere
A rude elderly cashier abruptly snatched the Christmas bathrobe from my hands as I was trying to open it to check the size. He insisted that if I wished to examine the size further, I would have to go to the bathroom section downstairs. Despite leaving with two bathrobes, I couldn't help but be taken aback by the blatant rudeness of the encounter.
My favorite Pottery Barn. It's really big, with two floors, so a lot of items on display that you might not see in your local mall. Staff has always been helpful. Mixed experiences with the quality of their products. For the prices they charge, everything should be perfect, and sometimes they really miss the mark. Other times, they nail it.
Great store full of beautiful furniture among other items to make your home you. You want tender loving attention, ask for sales person Lucinda, she certainly cares of what you are looking for. My friend was shopping for a small reading chair but I will certainly come back when I am ready to remodel my home. Great prices!
This is a Dream Store (house/apartment supplies and decoration)... the staff like Romir very nice...before I did a research and o found good prices in wood scent (Christmas sale pine smell)...by me Great!! I would be so Happy if Christmas ia the WHOLE YEAR!!! …
I ordered a chair in February with a delivery due date of May. It was pushed back to June and now to July. Totally unacceptable and untrustworthy shop. This has happened so many times with PB and WS items. Not sure how it's legal to keep selling things that you have no stock of!
Bought a Christmas tree from Ws and it was not only bad I could have gotten a better train from the 99 cent store. I called and it got a 15% discount but was told by the representative to pull out the branches at little. This little tree was over $200. I expected better.
I visited them yesterday—extremely rude and unhelpful sales associates. None offered help, and when I asked for help, they had a very unpleasant attitude. I was ready to buy a couple of items, but I decided not to solely because of their terrible customer service.
Wow! Great prices, great service. Manny was terrific. He took the time to listen and figure out what we were looking for and made suggestions. On other visits I saw other customers being thrilled that he found exactly what they have been looking for.
We had a great experience in this store!! Luis helped me and my mom get the last Christmas Tree Topper! It was sold out everywhere and he was able to find the last one. We truly appreciate his and the teams help in the store with all our
Avoid pottery Barn at all cost wether it’s online or in store They could use some help customer department service. Their agents are misleading with information. Please take your money somewhere else’s where you are value as a customer
A complete shameless company! Please don't waste your time with them—they have a very unprofessional and low-ethical approach. The worse part is that even after you try to get things better, they don't care about you as a customer.
Daniel from Pottery Barn broadway is an excellent salesperson and gave us all the information and details we required. He was super honest about the delivery times and very focused on solving our problem. Super impressed!
Gorgeous place beautiful Christmas decorations! Everything can be purchased for happy home . Free consultation for interior decorating. Friendly staff. Two levels to the store, with a gallery. Both bathroom and wi-fi.
I don’t know why is the Pottery Barn’s rate so low, but I really like their products.and the staff is very nice either. Today I bought a desk at the store , my wife and I are both love the classical style
Service at this store is terrible. They make it seem like it’s a major imposition to answer questions or as for help. They’re putting a terrible face on a store with otherwise good merchandise.
This location is pretty decent. They are clean, well organized and have a large selection. There is also a steeply discounted sale section, however nothing there caught my eye.
Had a great experience today! Bought a beautiful rug at a very good price. Very happy with everything. I love the location at 68th St. and Broadway in New York City.
I had a wonderful experience, the staff was way nicer than the folks at Raymore Flanigan. Would definitely come again. The staff was also very considerate and nice.
I used to be Pottery Barn addict. My favorite location was in Soho but now it has been replaced with a Hollister clothing store. I like the Lincoln Center location.
Limited selection compared with what is presented online. If you're looking for a particular piece, check online, then call ahead and make sure they have it.
Awful customer service! After waiting a very long time for a pillow in a store that was not very busy, the manager seemed upset I was using a coupon code.
Great selections displayed. I am considering a recliner, and may have found exactly what I want - Wells leather swivel recliner with brushed nickel base.
Interessante la vendita di articoli per la casa ad un prezzo accessibile ma ahimè nulla di trascende tale. Commessi lenti e distratti...
Mostly COVID safe. I did not notice any hand sanitizer upon entering. Everyone was wearing masks though and staying socially distant.
Nice things but expensive. Take advantage when they have sales, they have really good deals! The cotton linens are very good quality.
Love the quality of the stock in pottery barn but this outlet needs more staff and better customer service training !
worst customer service ever. Do not go to Kathleen Wisniewski there. She forgets everything.promises empty words
Extremely rude employees. Called and asked a simple question and got extreme attitude for no reason.
Very clean store and busy. Couldn't actually shop but this is probably a store more for tourists?
Usually a good place to find nice home warming gifts or treat yourself to a new home fragrance.
The designs are outdated, quality looks cheap and the sales team was not very nice of helpful…
Kevin went above and beyond to assist me- visit this location on the UWS for great service
Really bad service, I got attitude when both trying to return items and purchase items.
Pottery barn sent me the most defective item possible for the low low price of $250.
Sales Associates were standing around but did not offer assistance!!
quality merchandise but staff didn't even acknowledge my presence.
Selection is decent although not worth the price in my opinion
The WORST customer service I have ever encountered with PB
candles, curtains, vases, and dishes. big deal
Great place. They have restrooms for customers
Not a positive customer service experience.
Audrey THOMAS was extremely great help!!!
Great place to visit for home ideas.
Great gift selections for the house.
Amazing staff , beautiful furniture
My favorites are linens and towels
Awesome …
Staff was plain rude. AVOID.
