I usually only post positive reviews, but... Used to love this bookshop. Was there on 6 Dec. Bought about $200 of books. Man at counter was so rude and dismissive I was tempted leave without buying. Selection of books and atmosphere still wonderful, but the guy was so rude it ruined the experience. Wouldn't go back. I try and support local, but local has to work.

Extremely rude staff. My wife and I were browsing the store when I heard them whispering whilst looking in her direction. When I asked them what was up, they just put their heads down. Books were overpriced. Limited range. Very sterile feel to the store unlike most book stores. Save your money and avoid at all costs.

These folks know how to run a covid safe click-and collect! Call ahead or purchase online and the charming staff bring your selections out to you. Customers don't have to go inside. Wish more shops would take note. I can't praise PPB enough for this effort. I've been a customer for years - super selection.

I love this little neighbourhood gem. A wonderful selection, and if they don't have something they will track it down for you no problem. Complimentary and gorgeous gift wrapping alongside knowledgeable and friendly staff come together to make this one of my favourite shops in Potts Point.

Went inside with my partner today, we said hello as we walked in & out of 3 separate staff members not one said anything back or even acknowledged us whilst in the store. One of the employees was also walking around the store bare foot. Won’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

The staff members were incredibly helpful and were clearly well-read. This was particularly helpful when they knew off the top of their heads that the book I was looking for under its American title was marketed under a different title in Europe and Australia.

Not only are the staff friendly, they are unbelievably helpful and obviously passionate about books. Seeking a recommendation for your self or a gift, they have always been spot on. Walking past this bookshop without stopping in should be a crime.

This is a great little local book store. We've truly forgotten that feeling of purchasing a book after searching aisle after aisle or just pop a book out and give it a bit of read. Small businesses such as this should be valued.

I had a lovely time browsing the wide range of books here when I wanted a book to read on my visit to Sydney! I bought the book about growing up in Australia, and I received a lovely bookmark to remind me of my visit.

Good selection of books. The staff is very knowledgeable and always helpful. They will hunt down any book you want and order it if they don’t have it in the shop. So lucky to live right next to this little gem!
