It was our first time away from home since my wife had had to use a wheelchair and it was really difficult to find an hotel which had useful pictures of the room (space etc) and the shower / washroom setup which is vital to know it is workable for the particular needs of the person. We looked at loads of hotels and some had a picture of a shower head or a toilet seat but thats no good as its the big picture which helps so well done Premier inn. I am guessing that designing for disability access rooms is always going to a balancing act but my first experience is positive. I would add that it didn't occur to me before this that a solo traveler with wheelchair would really struggle as they would not even be able to get past the heavy fire doors so this review is about having a carer along with the disabled person for some of the routine stuff like reaching the air con (which was lovely). The room was spotless (the card said Doina made the room up - thank you Doina) and bed comfy. We had breakfast included and (with a carer to fetch and carry) it was easy to access and the staff were very on the ball. I expected a bit of a scrum at the busiest time but it was no problem and room enough. If you have a good appetite that time of the morning its a good deal with the the hot food better than I expected (real sausages with veggie option and not soggy bacon from the smiling chef) and the cold was more than enough. It was very useful to park under the hotel using the blue badge. would definitely stay again The blue badge parking isn't advertised as far as I can see but staff were helpful regarding this on the phone. It was a little unclear about how to access the entrance to the car park as staff said it was under the hotel. The car park it but the entrance isn't and isn't marked as such and if describing where it is (just past the main hotel) might be useful to state as such especially for people who don't know the area I only found out by accident that there is a wheelchair specific fire drill - we were on the 5th floor and there's no way I could carry my wife down if there was an alarm / can't use the lift. Looks like there is a specific call button at each floor by the stairway / sectioned off internal fire escape but would have been good to be told this rather than find out by accident - really don't mind being told by staff. Again, staff were lovely and thanks for the stay.

We arrived here late Friday evening. A short walk from Temple Meads train station. We were flying out of Bristol Airport Saturday morning, one way, so wasn't able to bring my car and leave it at the airport. This seemed a good plan to travel before and stay over at that hotel The hotel frontage is set in a pedestrianised area, which made it great for no traffic noise, we liked this Then from here, it was a short walk to get to lots of areas of Bristol for shopping, bars, theatres and restaurants We were greeted happily by the two reception guys, which was very nice. They sorted our reservation and within no time, we were off to our room. It was easy access to the lifts and found our room on the 2nd floor quickly. The room was very well presented, it had all we needed. Hair dryer for my partner. A kettle and Tea and coffee supplies, which is always a good thing The bed was very nice, comfortable, though I was surprised how high it was! Had a good sleep in it, but could of done with another one of their slim pillows The room we were had a bed settee, which could of been used for another adult or two children. There was a duvet set in a package on the shelving area. The bathroom was very clean and modern looking. It had a deep bath with a shower and flexi curtain. The shower was lovely, had some water power to it! Great controls to set your water temperature Though the extractor fan didn't seem strong enough!! The bathroom steamed up and held in there for ages!! The mirror in there was heavily misted up because of this rubbish fan! As we had an early departure to catch our plane, we didn't get time to try their breakfast. The restaurant looked very smart and was a big area laid out very well. We would recommend coming to here, and would book again to enjoy another stay more leisurely

Hotel was well located within easy walking distance to the harbourside. Room was clean + of good standard. Couldn't suss out heating/air con. Never had an issue in other premier inns. Area nice + quiet. Bit disappointed that our meals on Sunday evening didn't arrive together. Staff apologised saying it was a new menu. However, remembering my last premier inn stay in May, l know our curry and fish + chips are not new! Chips not well cooked, but edible. Curry was fine. I think the meal deal us a good offer, but sadly our Monday morning our cooked breakfast was not the usual high standard we are used to with premier inn. I only ate the sausage, baked beans and hash browns. My egg was runny, but stone cold. As were the bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms (not even vaguely warm) and my other half asked to pop his in the microwave which l felt was not an acceptable option for me. I plumped for fresh fruit salad (which was delicious which good variety of fruits!) with yogurt and hot buttered crumpets. I'd love to give higher than 3 star as l must stress that the staff were polite and attentive; often doing more than one role and seemed overworked! Also we didn't get a discount for parking, however the receptionist was quick to provide details to get refund for discount later.. Bit of a faff, but resolved to be fair to staff.

Premier Inn Bristol City Centre is a splendid three star hotel. It is conveniently located in the Fenzel Reach in the centre of the city. If the dynamic pricing allows you to upgrade, it can be worth it for the Plus rooms. I believe this level should be the standard and a real four star experience should be their upgrade. The main differences are public toilet tissue or real toilet paper rolls like we have at home, quality Wi-Fi internet connection (Ultimate level costs extra or included with Plus), electric outlets by your bed ( yes, laughably THAT’s extra), and on it goes. If Premier was really interested in being an excellent hotel chain instead of cutting their expenses at the cost of the comfort of their guests, Plus level would be their minimum standard in all their hotels. The primary reason we stay at Premier Inn is their convenient locations and their awesome restaurants. We recommend that you get the breakfast or Meal Deal. Their food is as good as JD Wetherspoon’s in almost every hotel we’ve stayed from Scotland to Cornwall. They have two restaurant set ups, those inside the hotels and those detached. They have the same breakfast buffets, but their menus are slightly different with some having pizza and more curry choices, among other differences. •..•..•

Hotel was standard premier Inn so decent enough. I stay in them alot for work and pleasure and they are usually reliable. Had an issue with maintenance work/drilling happening at 8am. No one on reception later that day to report it to. Had an email asking us to review our stay. Gave honest feedback about our issue and didn't ask for anything in return despite having sleep disturbances. Got a generic response saying the manager states no building work starts until after 10am. I replied straight away with a copy of a receipt from my breakfast elsewhere in town at 10.06 to prove I wasn't in the building at the time and got the standard response of 'sorry but we've spoken to the hotel and confirm on this instance we are not doing anything' not even a 'on your next stay we will give you early check in etc to apologies' Am I bothered about the noise, not now no. I am annoyed they fobbed me off and the manager gave false information. I'll give them a miss for a while and try the likes of holiday Inn or moxy for future trips. A shame really.

This is one of the best premier inns in Bristol and we visit this particular one once a year for some shopping and a catch up over some face masks and a bottle of wine. This was probably the funniest and most entertaining visit we've had yet...anyway, Firstly, location - walking distance (a lovely walk) from the station and then from the hotel to the town centre and all the shops is around a 10 minute walk. The breakfast is stocked in small but frequent amounts meaning you'll always have enough to grab but they were constantly topping up so it was always fresh. And finally, we didn't hear a peep and slept soundly. What more could you want? Side note: one side is opposite a block of apartments, many of which do not have blinds or curtains...this was beyond entertaining to say the least!

Disgusting ! Terrible! I was sick with pneumonia on Xmas and Boxing Day … I stayed until 28th but throughout Boxing Day and the day after me and several guests were kept awake all day and night due to a family of about 30 people running, banging shouting and screaming all day and night!! Never heard anything like it … I went to desk to complain and mention how sick due to pneumonia I was to be met by ‘Garcia’ who just shrugged his shoulders and confirmed other guests had already complained. He found it funny ! … so other guests complained as well… I tell you how sick I was and the noise carries on and the guests are still running riot ? Terrible service and terrible communication / people skills by ‘Garcia’ ….. I let them know how annoyed I was but he should be sacked … or trained much better … take note .

Pre-booked breakfast ‘not available’. Partially available one day, not at all the next day. Neither day was what was a advertised and paid for. Incredibly frustrating as I was here for work and had very early starts, and specifically chose this hotel because of its ‘good’ breakfast which starts at 06:30. I fail to see why not even toast could be provided, it why you couldn’t have sourced an alternative provider for your guests. Seemed like pretty poor customer service to just abandon everyone and not even try. Nothing else was open at that hour in this part of the city either. So off to work I went very hungry. Room was also very hot despite it not being hot outside. Air conditioning occasionally made incredibly loud engine noises which woke me up in the night so it couldn’t be used. Windows are unable to be opened. Hotel failed miserably at its two basic tasks: allow a good night’s sleep and provide breakfast.

  • Paige T.

My extended stay at Premier Inn was nothing short of excellent. The fact that they not only cleaned the room but also replaced the towels during my long stay was a pleasant surprise. The customer service was consistently outstanding, with a friendly and attentive staff. Throughout my stay, I felt safe and well taken care of. Premier Inn is the perfect choice for a worry-free and comfortable stay. In addition to the exceptional service, I was delighted to find that Premier Inn is conveniently situated. It's located next to a variety of restaurants and convenience stores, making dining and shopping a breeze. Furthermore, the hotel is just a few minutes' walk from a beautiful park and a mall, making it the perfect base for both leisure and retail therapy.

Premier Inn are a ‘go-to’ option for us. This one was central to Bristol, clean like they all are, great location and also gave 25% off parking. We love a good premier and are regular travellers, however, this location surprised me. The receptionist are not on hand the majority of the time, you don’t get a phone in your room so you can’t contact reception and the water was absolutely freezing. I enquired about the water being hot but for some it was cold all weekend unfortunately. I’d stay in a premier again but would be doubtful in this one. I also asked for an iron, and I got an iron and no iron board. What could you do better? - Provided a phone in a the room. - Provided hot water. - Provided an iron and ironing board. - Provided a complimentary breakfast or some form of complimentary acknowledgment (at least) for the water being cold.

Reception staff not at all helpful no parking on sight and a complete nightmare trying to find the car parks given to you by the reception staff I missed my evening meal due to trying to find the car parks. This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel and I stay at a lot of them each month this hotel will be my last stay with them I can not wait for breakfast if it’s anything to go by with the reception staff then it will be utter rubbish. If you want my advice avoid this place and book in to the other hotels around the area where the service is much better and where you have parking on sight instead of paying 14:60 a day and have to walk back with luggage 10 minutes unless you want to have additional expense for a taxi on top of the price they charge for the sub standard rooms.

  • Sian Jenkins

The room was great and I loved that the bathroom was a room, not a pod. The bad side was that there was very little water pressure on the 4th floor. I could barely shower. Turning the tap to full, turned the water off. The hot and cold water didn’t mix as a result and the shower was then unpleasant. I didn’t interact with the staff. The breakfast was pleasant, but on the expensive side. The check-in had no staff on it and the sign above the electronic kiosks directs you to use them if you check-in online first. I couldn’t find a way to check-in online and could find no staff. I eventually made a stab at using a kiosk and managed to get a key. Not very helpful instructions.

Clean and tidy as always with very helpful friendly staff. The food we had was piping hot and my steak was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was very good as always. We did have an awkward customer 2 doors away from us who cleared had some sort of issue with whoever they were sharing their room with and was banging on the door on and off for quite a while. But as it got to the point where people would be thinking about going to sleep a member of staff stepped in and quickly and quietly resolved the issue without any further disruption. Thanks to all the staff. You did a great job

Relatively easy to find, clean and quiet. As most people say in reviews, service and staff really brilliant and polite an. Bath was the winner, I was not expecting it. Sadly the breakfast choices were poor and quality of everything from bread to cereal and meat choices were not great. I only enjoyed black pudding, bacon quality, sausages were just not tasty, not chefs fault though, eggs were good. Not a great choice of breads either. But good overall and as a place to stay, would reccomend because the bed was really comfy and rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Room was as expected for premier Inn, clean and good facilities. The location is great as 10 min walk to train station and also into town. A few down sides, no baby change facilities in the restaurant or main toilets. The eggs at breakfast were tired to say the least and the dippy eggs requested for our kid came hard boiled. Also the room we had (119) was right over the restaurant meaning you had noise all the way till around 2300 and then starting at 0600. We did raise this with staff in morning to be told...."yeah you probably are over the kitchen, and it would be noisy"

Standard Premier Inn. Nice staff. My main problem as usual is how unclean the baths are (evidence of cleaning products but also actual dirt). Especially in family rooms, where it's likely people will be bathing young children. Bit of miscommunication about towels/room cleaning, so our sheets/towels weren't changed. Notes for cleaners seemed to be on post-its. As we were leaving there was a puddle coming from the next room's bathroom, and our things got wet. But a brilliant location!

Nice premier inn at the heart of Bristol city. Amenities and shops are very close by which is helpful. The staff were very helpful to us when sorting our parking and helping us find our room. I stayed in a standard room which comes with air conditioning, a double bed and a single sofa bed for another occupant. The double bed was very comfy but the single was a little stiff and sadly not as nice. Everything inside was clean, hygenic and looked after by the team.

Hotel location is perfect, only a short walk over the bridge to get you to the galleries shopping centre and parking. Room was comfortable, a little hot and wasn't great that you couldn't open the window but the aircon was sufficient. The only downside was trying to get a table at the restaurant, it was empty but we were told that no tables were available until 1.5 hours later, when we came back down half an hour later to pick up a takeaway we ordered the restaurant was still dead. It came across that the guy we spoke to couldn't really be bothered

Very happy with my stay. The room was clean and spacious, the shower was good and the bathroom fittings in good order (none of those yellowing sinks or mouldy grouts!). The room was also quiet throughout the night. Reason for 4 stars rather than 5 was that the breakfast selection was OK but somewhat limited (which is probably fair, given it wasn't expensive) and the bath/shower had a curtain rather than glass panelling. But I'd be more than happy to go again.

Had a great 2 night stay here in early Sept 2020. Staff were welcoming and helpful, we stayed in a premier plus room which we felt was well worth the extra, it really wasn't much dearer but definately enjoyed the upgrade coffee machine and shower definately my favourite parts. Not a bad location, pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Breakfast was nice but service was a little slow but understandable under current guidelines as the help yourself style breakfast obviously not available. Have stayed in a number of premier inn and would stay here again, would not hesitate to recommend.

Easy to get to location. Lovely room, clean room. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would've given it a five if not for the following: They only have one non-dairy alternative, soya milk. I prefer oat milk. I don't like the taste of soy milk in my drinks. I feel that they should have more than one option. Also the only had 0% fat natural yoghurt. I prefer the full fat version. It's hard to please everybody. The non-dairy milk option is the main thing for me. In this day and age, there aren't many places that don't serve oat milk.

Excellent, reasonably priced hotel in the center of Bristol. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. The water pressure is fantastic, the design of the room is great with a coat rack when you come in, a mirror with hair dryer and a little place to hang clothes. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Looks like a new building. Short walk to the train station and all the city sights. Highly recommend.

If super basic is what you are looking for then yes this fits that. However if you're looking for somewhere to stay that provides that little extra than avoid this place. Even small things like a miniture bottle of shampoo and conditioner, or perhaps more than two rock hard pillows for a double bed, or maybe a couple of herbal tea sachets instead of just two PG tips sachets. Small things make a stay. Also... if you're not keen on having an office window right in front of your hotel window, then this isn't the place for you. My two stars are for cleanliness and location.

  • daryl jowett

Location is about a 10 min walk from the city centre shopping area. In the summer it's a great location, in the winter it can be a bit of a tedious walk. Check in was great, the self service machines are really good. Room was nice and clean, and what you would expect from Premier Inn. We had breakfast already booked, it was really nice. The staff couldn't be friendlier and more helpful. The only downside, is the parking. There is none. You have to park in one of the city's car parks. We chose Cabot Circus, £16.00 for 25 hours and 30 minutes.

  • Adam Leach

Very nice hotel with friendly staff who are very accommodating. On the whole the rooms are very clean and well presented. Some have started to show some wear and tear, with paint falling on the ceiling etc. Restaurant area for breakfast is clean and well managed. There is a bar and restaurant for evening meals. No car park so will need to park at on of the close by car parks like the NCP.

A decent place to stay overnight. Our room with a double bed and two small beds had enough space and the beds were comfortable too. Helpful staff members. Unopenable window in our room but air conditioning (fixed to 19°C with variable fan speed) was pretty alright so didn't feel the difference. There is no dedicated parking but you'd find loading bays on the side of the building or might be able to park temporarily at the front of entrance to unload stuff and drop off family. We used JustParkobile app to find parking nearby.

Stayed here for work for one night during the week. The room was better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in (Premier Inn Plus room). Very, very nice. Modern, clean and well maintained. The water pressure and AC in the room were top notch, which is always something I appreciate. The only criticism I have was the breakfast buffet, which looked a bit sad. But it was decent enough to eat.

We booked this hotel for it's proximity to Temple Meads Station - it took us around ten minutes to walk it. The hotel itself was up to usual Premier Inn standards, we were super impressed. Clean, staff friendly, and just what we needed. The bed was huge too! We had an accessible room, and it was lovely and spacious, just for your needs. Would definitely recommend if you need to stay in the area.

Room was fine but service at dinner time was shocking, 1 hour and half to receive our meals that were poor quality, stood waiting to be seated for 15 minutes then once seated 30 minutes to get our order taken, staff chatting away with each other 2 people cleaning one table, really? Think staff need some extra training, telling people they are busy when there was a maximum of 10/12 people in the restaurant, shocking service

Came for a night, working the next day around the corner. Obviously this hotel is brand new. It is flaw free, and the staff excellent. Going out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The room I stayed in was very comfortable. The bed was impressively large, as was the room. With good light tight curtains. Tea and coffee facilities provided. The TV has inputs for playing from your devices. Bath with shower. Couldn’t fault my stay in any single way. Excellent value to.

Standard Premier Inn, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, exactly as you'd expect. My only downfall is the car park is about a 5 minute walk away. Which I don't mind doing, but when you're tired and been on the road for several hours, it's the last thing you want to do. I would recommend researching car parking before booking. I must admit it was my downfall. Otherwise, the location is good, close to the city centre. I would still recommend booking.

Ex ellent hotel with very nice spacious rooms and super friendly staff. The location is brilliatnt as it is a center of Bristol and not too far from the Temple Meads Station. It is very close to the pubs by the river, Cargo 1&2 Container Mall with amazing quality restaurants. Even tho it is a central location the area itself is very quiet and not rough at all which made me rest there very well.

Premier standard rooms are nice. Spacious, a day bed is in them too. A lot of uncontrolled noise from kids. Premier plus rooms. Less space. Smaller bathrooms. Extra seats. - in comparison to the standard. The upgrade mainly gets you access to normal toilet paper. The standard has a weird dispenser. The only benefit of plus is that there aren’t meant to be families on that floor. Overall… it’s ok. I’ve had better times staying at a weatherspoons.

Amazing value for money! I was surprised to have a bed that big and comfy, clean and modern bathroom with bathtub. Great location too. Spicer+Cole is also a must go for a quick coffee and breakfast. I removed 1 star for several reasons: front desk service could be improved, very bad wifi connexion (fair enough in 2007, not in 2021) and connecting rooms (when I had only one room, I could hear everything that was said in the other room)

Always know what you are getting with Premier Inn and this location was no exception. Arrived just after 3pm but the self service units weren't working so had to wait to check in behind a very large group so slightly longer wait than usual. Rooms were good and everywhere clean. Pretty dire. The room was dirty and dusty with marks, dents, cracked mirror and dirty windows. The floor hadn't been hoovered, every table was thick with dust and grime. Paying £100 per night for this was a disappointing waste. We stayed here before over 2 years ago and it was so clean. The location is great, especially being just out of the centre re noise. Although we complained, nothing was done. Horrendous.

Pretty new development around the area so the hotel is new too. Room very clean and comfortable the air con was terrible as the room was hot, however it was 26°c outside so maybe it was struggling. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The full breakfast was really good and tasty although the plate warmer was as good as the air con. Overall I was very happy with our two night stay.

  • Kiran Rongala

I went to the reception to book a room in the night. Trust me the receptionist was so busy in chit chatting and came to the reception after 15 mins. With so much of patience, I asked for a room and surprisingly the cost of the room was triple the price because it was Saturday itseems.

Perfectly acceptable, but not my usual experience in a Premier Inn. They seemed to be short staffed (nobody in reception on arrival). Also the breakfast wasn't brilliant which was disappointing - the cooked elements weren't very warm and other elements were dotted around in odd places!

Relaxing Nights Sleep Always a great place to rest and relax when travelling to Bristol for the occasional getaway. The rooms are very cosy and clean, and you get discounted parking for the nearest car park in reception. Cabot circus is literally a ten minute walk from the hotel and makes the perfect day out!. Highly recommended for anyone looking to come and visit Bristol!.

Premier Inn providing good value accomodation. Room was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Super value breakfast which set us up for the day. Great location close to the action with no late night noise. Comfortable bed and good shower. Wi fi a little slow in standard rooms

Not a bad place to stay, right in the city quite smart with a tastey breakfast. But you might find some rubbish hiding in the room, possibly dirty toilets with no loo roll. However access for disabled vehicles carrying luggage isn't ideal. We were greatful for the free parking nearby, just turn up before 10pm because security check the place so could be a wait to be let in.

  • Becca Whitmarsh

We have stayed in many Premier Inns but this was one of the best. We had a Plus room which was lovely. The room was clean and tidy, quiet and had a small fridge for drinks. The booking in was easy and fast and they had extra tea/coffee & milk etc in the reception area. I would stay here again.

Nice clean and comfortable room. Great reception staff. Not enough tea and coffee in the room although they did say to pop down to the front desk if we needed more. Unfortunately, my head was banging after a skinfull of beer and it was too much trouble to 'pop down'.

This was only a one night stay, however the service I received was impeccable. All the staff were very friendly and patient. And within the hour I had checked in, unpacked, sat down for dinner and had dessert all within 1 hour. The food was lovely too. Both the staff that presented dinner and breakfast were fantastic.

This is a great hotel, close to shopping, bars and restaurants. It is also 10 minute walk to Bristol temple meads train station. Staff are really friendly and check in was quick. Like all premier inns I have stayed at the rooms are clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. Definitely a good choice when in Bristol.

Great location 5 minute walk from shops and pubs, there’s a Tesco around the corner.. and we had a very clean room. Room was a bit hot though - despite it being December/January - as the A/C barely blows a breeze on the coolest setting.. and no opening windows.

As always with premier Inn, welcome was great, room was quiet and comfortable despite being in the room above the entrance. I didn't eat in the hotel in this occasion, having made other arrangements beforehand. I've stayed here before on 4 occasions. It's about 12 minutes walk from the railway station.

The Hotel was very nice and the breakfast excellent but the staff act as it’s their first day on the job .fire alarm went off just after 6 in the morning and continued sporadicly for the next half hour absolutely no help or action from the staff .I think you should make sure your staff read your fire plan and somebody that understands the alarm panel

  • Em Sheppard

Room was lovely & hotel is in a great location! Only issue was that it was incredibly difficult to find staff & often had to stand and wait at reception for quite a while. Wasnt an issue for us as they have self check in & out services in place. Really enjoyed our stay!

Premier Inn is always good, but it was next to a pretty dodgy park (which someone was killed at in February). Walking around near it we could smell people smoking weed almost constantly. The actual hotel was great though, and the food was alright

Good for overnight, but wouldn't do more as I don't like hotels that you are unable to open a window. Even just a smidge, made me feel a little claustrophobic. But hard to complain really as so cheap. Very clean, employees nice and helpful. Fabulous location, very quick to get into town.

Good hotel, nice location but getting a bit tatty. Hook on bathroom door was broken, so I couldn't hang my bag anywhere, bathroom fan was jammed full of fluff so steam didn't clear. Shame, just a little care needs taken and it would have been great.

Nice clean room and all fairly modern. However, windows are sealed shut and the air con system doesn't work very well. Hardly slept as a result as the room was too hot (even in december) and the air con wasn't able to cool it down properly as it doesn't go below 17 degrees.

I've stayed in every Premier Inn in Bristol over the last 2/3 years with work etc but this one is by far the best and the one I return to regularly. Good access to the city centre and also the other key parts of the city. Facilities are good and clean constantly.

Couldn’t fault it. Stayed here for one night whilst visiting family. It’s in a great location, the room was absolutely spotless, super comfy bed. Big bonus was being able to store bikes which the staff were happy to help with. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic premier inn - we had a brilliant stay here 3yrs ago lovely room comfy bed great breakfast and the hotel is within a short walk of the shops and bars etc in the city centre. It’s an ideal base for any weekend in Bristol 100% recommend.
