The rooms were basic but standard for a premier Inn. The room was really hot, the windows open a tiny bit to cool you down but the heating then kicks in to compensate and cannot be turned down. The fan in our room was also faulty so that didn't help. The TV was also acting up by not showing the guide, freezing up and sometimes turning off by itself. The signal on the TV also wasn't great. You kind-of get 5g but it's not that strong. Premier Inn WiFi is generally not amazing unless you upgrade. The floorboards above our room were thin and creaky so you could really hear people walking around upstairs. You're a short bus ride from Manchester City Centre and you're close to a few useful things like a superstore and a petrol station. The restaurant is right next door. It's good prices, especially if you go for the meal deal (a 3 course meal was £18.50 pp). The restaurant staff were friendly and the food was fairly prompt but when attending breakfast at 9 we had to wait about 10 mins for the hot food to be ready. Overall, despite the above issues, it was nice and I'd stay here again.

Awful hotel with inadequate ventilation that makes it unbearably hot in the room. We were aware before arriving that the hotel did not have air conditioning, but we didn't expect it to be 26 degrees in the room when it was only 15 degrees outside! We'd booked a two night stay but after getting no sleep due to the heat on the first night we had to check out early as we couldn't face a second night. Tried to raise the issue with the hotel staff before we left, but the reception was empty and there was no-one to be seen. Raised the issue with their central customer service when we got home, but they refused to refund anything under their supposed Good Night Sleep Guarantee as we were aware the hotel didn't have air conditioning. They simply wouldn't accept that guests still expect a basic degree of ventilation, and the room shouldn't be 11 degrees hotter than the outside temperature! I certainly won't be staying here again, and it has made me very wary of staying with Premier Inn again at all. I definitely recommend that people avoid this hotel!

Amazing hotel. We had a 1 night stay to attend a concert at the AO arena (m.e.n) and it was fabulous the room was super comfy and loved the large fan in the room which was a nice touch. The bathroom was clean and tidy and had all the accessories we needed like soap shampoos etc. Also was awesome that there was a thermostat in the room to turn the temperature down at night as me and my wife love a cool room when sleeping. The staff was super helpful and even managed to check in 1 hour early as we needed to get ready to head to the arena for the concert. I honestly can't find a single fault with this hotel and I'm super picky. Cant wait for our next visit in January 2023

Didn't know what to think as little bit out of the centre . but a lovely hotel and it has the beefeater connected with it.. The tram will take you out to Heaton park but we found it was better to get off at Bocker vale which is the stop before and it's a short walk from the station down to this hotel...Very smart clean .nice breakfast dining area and great service from the staff ...We told them we'd be back & recommend this Premier Inn & Beefeater...

Stayed here for just one night with my family. The room was uncomfortably hot. It was about 19⁰ outside, but was 26.5⁰ all night in the room. A fan was provided but it didn't help. Didn't sleep at all well due to heat and the very noisy road (which was louder as I needed to keep the window open). The staff were really lovely, and the breakfast was great value, especially as kids eat free with a full paying adult. The room itself was ok. Bit of a musty smell and odd yellow stains on the bathroom floor, but I wasn't too bothered about that - it had obviously been cleaned. I still like premier inn, but will always check for rooms with air conditioning for future bookings.

  • Gem Faulkner

Stayed here solo while on a two-day break, was fairly priced and also easy to get to and from the city centre on the tram. Also love the location right next to Heaton Park, started off one of my mornings with a walk around it. The room itself, like the hotel, wasn't exactly modern but it was still very comfortable and spacious so can't ask for much more! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Booked myself in for breakfast on my last morning, which was tasty. Really enjoyed my stay here, look forward to the next one!

Yet again we had an excellent time at this hotel. Only wish they would install air conditioning as rooms were 29.5 degrees in our room and the fan was doing nothing but blowing hot air about lol. With Heaton Park just across the road what a park for families fantastic. Our grand kids absolutely loved it again. It's also in a great location for accessing the city. Food was great as usual as are prices. They do dinner and breakfast deals which is great value for families

Stayed here to attend a concert in Manchester. There is a really big, free car park, which was the first thing that attracted me to choose this over other hotels closer to the venue. Check-in was smooth and fast, and after a quick freshen up , a taxi was booked by a wonderfully friendly lady on reception (Mary) . The room is the same as every other Premier Inn, there is some noise from other people coming and going but the beds are amazing. I feel as though I have slept on a cloud.

Poor service in fact it was not a good stay from the hotel to the breakfast this which was dire waited over an hour and it was still wrong the fact they'd run out of must things just amazed me knowing it's a bank holiday weekend. What makes it more annoying is that people who came in after us where serviced before us. They were a where the hotel was near full if not full and yet there were only 2 staff its mind blowing I've been in and around hospitality industry all my working life so I know how things work at present I'm a training development manager.

  • Donna Burns

Stayed here for one night, rooms were lovely and clean, everything was fresh, and the lady named Mary on the front desk was so nice, only thing that let the place down was my room which was really warm was on the front of the hotel which is on a main road at a set of traffic lights so when i had the window open it was really noisy from the traffic outside and this was really early in the morning as well as most of the night. I would stay here again but ask for a room at the back of the hotel where its much more quiet.

Nice place for a short stay if you don't need to be right in the city centre. Hotel is on a busy road, but I had a room at the back of the building, so I couldn't really hear anything. Not sure what the road-facing rooms are like. Room was very clean and provided a good night's sleep. The two women on the front desk were very friendly and helpful sorting out a query I had with my booking. Would definitely consider staying here again. The only downside, like others have pointed out, are the slightly noisy floorboards.

  • Steve Craig

The lady on reception who booked us in was fantastic, told us how to get to the AO arena on the tram, a very warm welcome. Free parking for the duration of our stay. Only issue was that the wifi did not work in our room (no big deal as the 5G signal was excellent), our room showed signs of water damage to the floor, as there was quite a depression just outside the toilet. All in all, I would stay here again if we are ever in Manchester.

Having used a different hotel chain on a regular basis the staff at the hotel have totally blown me away with the way they looked after me. One member in particular, the receptionist Kate went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and I was very well looked after by her. I hope I can come back to that hotel so I can thank her for everything she did for me, I will recommend the hotel to anyone needing a stay in the area.

Hotel wasn't too bad especially for the price, it was pretty loud and hard to get to sleep. The room was clean and suitable for a couple of nights. The breakfast was good but shame they didn't have chopped tomatoes. The general area is a little run down however there was no problems and on a good bus route into town, Day pass for the bus is £5 pp

Stayed here several times as its a good spot for Prestwich when I'm visiting family. Got everything we need for a busy visit, no frills required and if you book well ahead youncan bag a room for under 50 quid. Pub next door does the breakfast, self serve, with outside seating. Large free car park, or 10 mins walk from the Metrolink station which will have you in Manchester City centre in under 10 mins.

Good location and with modern rooms, good staff and ample parking at the back. Rooms facing the main road are very noisy as there is a set of traffic lights with traffic coming off the motorway more or less all night, I'll be requesting a room at the back next time. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order. Only issue I had was the hot water running out mid shower but this is a rarity for Premier Inn so hopefully just a goblin in the plumbing.

  • Kaz Rudys

Great staff and handy for the metro link into the city centre. Room was clean but very warm as the window doesn't open very much and there's no air conditioning. Would be spot on if they had an EV charger in the car park, seems like a missed opportunity. Other than that, really nice.

The Premier Inn here is a good place to stay if you're in the area. The staff are fantastic and friendly. The rooms are what you expect but comfy enough. And the Beefeater next door is pleasant for breakfast. Conveniently located on a major road and not too far from the motorway. I would definitely recommend and the only reason it's a four star review is because it's a Premier Inn. But that's just bias on my part.

  • Carl Dolman

Arriving from M62/M60 the hotel was very easy to find and park at. Checked in by friendly staff and found room very clean and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet and blackout curtains very effective so had a good night's sleep. Breakfast in the neighbouring Beefeater - full - English - was cooked perfectly and included black pudding.

Great location for Tough Mudder, a 5 minute walk from Heaton Park. £125 for the night which was expensive, check in was at 3, although when we got there at 1, the room was ready but they wanted an extra £10 to check in early. We went for a pint next door and came back at 3

The hotel itself was clean and tidy and all staff were friendly. I would not have the breakfast again. Nothing was hot it was either cold or just warm, even a latte from the machine was just warm. The continental side of the breakfast had little choice. The two staff in the bar seemed to be rushing around just to keep it clean.

It's currently 2:15am and not a chance of sleeping with all the noise from movement on floor above. Perhaps the floorboards could be fixed so they don't creak. Mary the receptionist when we stayed here was lovely, she was so friendly and helpful. We ate at the Beefeater next door for dinner and breakfast. I cannot thank the staff enough for how they treated my parents especially my Mum who is very hard to cater for. Rachel the manageress is just awesome for so many reasons, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Josh

Very well priced, free parking, beefeater next door, clean and tidy with pleasant service. Bed felt a bit worn and TV was a bit buggy with poor signal but not big factors. Would be 5 star if they controlled the car park better for guests only - the first section is used by a lot of people on the school run which if you're protective over your car may concern you - I parked at the back fortunately.

  • Angeliki Pata

There was some confusion at the reception regarding our booking but in the end I worked it out okay and had to explain to the girl there of what happened/why in the system is this and this etc. Really hard to order form the restaurant ended up ordering from Just Eat. Overall it was a nice stay. Next time will definitely request to be far from the stairs as we had a lot of noise disturbances.

  • Dan Fox

The stay was OK nothing special, breakfast was A Shambles. Spoke to reception who said would get me refunded, however no refund has appeared and I think I will have better chance getting hold of the dead than I do getting hold of Premier Inn guest relations. Customer service is one of the poorest I have seen.

A tired looking Premier Inn, I didn't sleep well here due to noise, this came from other guests. I was located on the first floor and the noise from above woke me at midnight and didn't stop until 1am. The sound proofing of the facility needs to be improved. The staff however were fantastic! Just let down by a facillity requiring investment.

We went to the beefeater restaurant next door, and the food is really good quality. This is only round the corner from us so really convenient. The staff are always lovely, though it can be tough to grab one of them at busy times. The burgers are really yum & the kids meals are good value but freshly made. Would highly recommend!

  • Leesha Wilkinson

Hotel is so warm, no air con and u cannot open the windows more then 4 inches which is useless to cool the room down, there is a fan in the room which makes no difference if its not actually facing u, if you have a family who do u choose! We have stayed in lots of Premier inns, at least 5 a year, and this is the hotest!

Lovely staff, so friendly. Rooms as expected, quite bright street lights and noisy taffic if you have a room on facing the road, and the curtains don't really block it. But ideal if you are attending an event at Heaton Park and the all you can eat breakfast Beefeater next door is delicious.

No air conditioning so don't go when it's hot (room was a consistent 26 degrees while we were there in August). Room clean and comfortable otherwise and staff very helpful.

Great place. Ive stayed here twice in 2 weeks and plan to stay again. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, The staff are amazing and the Beefeater next door is top notch.

Nice outside seating front and back. Not a large selection of draught beers but just nice to enjoy a cold pint of stella in the sunshine after these past 6 months.
