Much liked sea shore in chicago by me and my family. As it is not over crowded. Away from downtown so you can find peaceful and serene voice of sea if you walk a lit bit more on the shore though this time it wasn't the same as we went on full moon day. Would like to go there again.

Beautiful place all year around! In the summer it is great for less busy lake side local hangs and climbing over the rocks to take a dip in the calm, clear water. In the less warm months, it is a beautiful place to take a stroll around the park or you can walk along the rocks for those a little more adventurous. I took my puppy and she loved! Be careful in the colder months as the rocks can get a little icy and become slippy - we almost lost someone to the cold lake this December!

Quiet, green, well maintained, great views of the city skyline and the public bathrooms were open, bonus. Great place to relax, sunbathe, take a nap, or take pictures. Public parking (pay) is available on the other side of Lake Shore Drive.

A fantastic place to enjoy beautiful scenery of the Lake Michigan and the Loop skyline! Not too large for walking, running and cycling, so everyone can enjoy the Promontory Point. Looking at the giant lake makes me feel so calm and relaxed. Enter from the east end of 55th and there is a path crossing Lake Shore Drive underneath.

One of the best places to spend an evening with your friends and family. Place where you can spend your time with or without someone. Awesome place for photography and shooting. The usual weekend atmosphere is very joyful. I enjoyed the place on the weekend and would love to come every weekend to a stress-free environment.

Excellent place to go for a long run,cook outdoors with friends or family. Enjoy the lakefront view, take pictures of our beautiful downtown! I guarantee you will love the point!!

Its a dog friendly lake there are big pits for cooking. Since it's almost winter, the restroom are closed

The Point is of the most beautiful places in Chicago. It’s stunning in all seasons. My dog loves to roll around in the grass.

Love it! Awesome lake view! Walking and bike trails are amazing! Beautiful view of downtown! I visited my daughter, and it was on her things for us to do, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Take care of this treasure, Chicago!

Absolutely beautiful. Great views of the city. But looking out at the lake, you would never know you are in the middle of a metropolis. Definitely breezier and a few degrees cooler than inland - take a sweater!

Extremely beautiful and relaxing! This place always puts me in a good mood to just walk the lakefront trail/sit in front of the water and just enjoy the sounds of the water splashing against the rocks

Super fun area to hang out and have a picnic. Bathrooms are a little hard to get to but are fairly clean. Bit of a trek to get over if you have people in wheelchairs or who can't walk that much.

Promontory Point in fall. Short walk from ample free on street parking or paid parking lot on the west side of DuSable LSD. Convenient underpass. There are fire pits near the lake. Nice.

One of the breathtaking vantage points to see Chicago's skyline from. A peaceful park that's a melting pot of Chicago's people.

Has a great time. We brought our teen our for a final bbq for our arts program. Peaceful, scenic…just an all around great time.

Good view of Downtown skyline. Nice pavilion to rent that is close to water. Short walk north is a beach access to lake.
