I first heard about this school through a advertisement by the schools' principal, Mr Bacholer, offering tours. Upon entering, I noticed the abhorrent sight of brown shoes on the senior school students. It wasn't long before I then was met with a familiar smell of strawberry and grape e-cigarettes when I entered the "C4SL", which was also covered in litter. I eventually enrolled my son, who is in Grade 10 to the school and already on the first day I heard complaints from him that he was repeatedly talked down to from teachers and laughed at by peers for being in the less advanced math class. A few weeks later he was asked to leave by the "Head of Senior school", as they deemed our harassment complaints to be false. If you have the slightest interest in sending your child to this detestable profit-machine, I would consider you seriously reassess your preferences.
Pulteney Grammar School is a school full of disappointment and sadness, my child had constant harassment by other students everyday and was not enjoying the fullest of his schooling life as possible. Since I have extracted my child from this treacherous hell hole that represents themself as an elite private school, I have not been more happy with my decision and I could see the weight lift of my son’s shoulders when he left this retched school known as Pulteney Grammar. God forbid anyone thinking about sending their child to this dark forsaken place. You must look coherently into the schools background; to see if this is the place for your child. Or you might end up making the wrong decision like I did.
this school is absolutely disgraceful. i just witnessed a kid who looked around 14-15 get absolutely abused by one of the “coaches” at the city south tram stop. she yelled at him to shut up and also swore at him about 4 times. The coach was short and had short blonde hair with a “1997” tattoo on the back of her heel with flames above it. As a coach of a school, this is no way to speak to a child or person in that matter. i don’t want to begin to imagine how your teachers are treating kids inside of school let alone outside. absolutely disgusting.
I am a member of the pulteney boat club (pulteney rowing) and the rumors around toxic coach behaviour is completley false. We have a good relationship with our coaches and never find angthing they say is insulting we. We treat eachother like family members we all know eachother very well and love pur communtiy
Our rowing coach is a wonderful person with a big heart and would never harm us physically or verbally the rumours about shouting at us are not. True I’m a pulteney rower and have not had any of these bad experiences. Xoxoxoxoxoxox
Great school, well placed, near the CBD which is helpful if you work in the city. It is expensive but is well priced compared to some private schools. It has a lot of abuse but that is because of students being silly.
Well done on hiring Jason Fay... wonder how long it will take him to tell everyone about playing soccer with Ross Aloisi in the U9s! Most miserable and insecure educator I've met my whole life
This school is one of the best schools in Adelaide I absolutely love it as it is near the Adelaide CBD. But they really need a cheerleading team in the middle + senior school.
The schools strong focus on student well-being is to be commended. Leadership are all about looking after their students, yet always challenging students to do their best.
When i first started i thought it was boring but soon i had so much fun. Its a great school to be at and there are many people you can meet and be friends with.
Terrible and worst school ever, just as the other parent reviewed, it's a school full of disappointment from every aspects.
Terrible Is A Strong Word And I Think If You Keep Using It Like That It's Not Going To Mean What You Think It Means
$250,000 fundraiser for the school and no charity, as if they don't get enough money from the overpriced fees.
Pulteney has allowed me to have an education like no one else. So thankful for the time I’ve spent there!!
I had a great experience learning at this school. Lots of lovely people and excellent experiences!
My daughter was stabbed by a pencil on her hand. She may not make it. …
