The wait times are too long to provide reasonable service. Great concept. I heard positive feedback about the service during the pandemic through word of mouth however, my experiences have not been very positive. First attempt to use QDoc was several months ago (June 2023). The service stated no appointment time available. I waited several hours for an appointment. I was suffering from a migraine and needed my prescription refilled. I ended up calling my family doctor, had my prescription refilled and drove 20 minutes away to get my medication before I had an appointment notification, upon which I cancelled. Second attempt was Aug 31, 2023. I needed a doctors note to return to work due to established illness after 3 consecutive days. After an unsuccessful 8 hour attempt the first day, (after being sick for 5 days prior) I tried again the next day. I got an appointment after several hours but missed it because I was in the shower. They did not send a notification stating an appointment time, the appointment request came through while I was in the shower at 8:11 am and the notification saying I missed the doctors request came through at 8:15 am, only 4 minutes later. I made another appointment request and came through within an hour.. The doctor was very hard to understand. They spoke broken english which created a huge language barrier but we worked together to communicate. The doctor told me I should have called sooner with my condition, (despite not requiring a doctors note at an earlier date, and my condition not having any known medication) and the call was very brief. I paid $30 for my note and upon viewing it I noticed there were dates missing which made the note void. I called their office's clerical staff to have the error corrected or be given a refund as I require this note to return to my place of employment.They were reluctant to offer a refund for the note and instead I was advised by the staff that it would be resolved by my absolute deadline several days from the time of the call, however, they could not give me any timeline as to when. They said the doctor would likely call me back regarding the issue. The next morning I made another appointment request for a doctor, as it was the weekend and the clerical office was not open until after my deadline for my note. Within an hour after making my request the same doctor that wrote my note the previous day talked with me and corrected the error. I was able to print out my note and use it for work purposes. Due to the long wait times, the error made on my note, and not getting a response to correct the error the same day I would not have been able to return to work as soon as otherwise possible. I am unsatisfied with QDoc.. I was told it used to be an efficient, useful service that worked in a timely manner but it seems the demand has outgrown the supply. I really hope they continue to improve their services because it is a good concept that can save people time and money, as well as stop spread of illnesses and have people focus on recovering at home.

For the most part very good. Have been excellent on previous visits. I am Very disappointed with the Dr that prescribed a Fluticasone puffer (orange) to me for what is very likely bronchitis or some variation of a chest cold! I do not have COPD or asthma! Nothing I told her should have given her that idea. When asked about being a smoker I told her clearly not since 2017! Three doses of that puffer made me very sick.. cough became non productive and my torso felt so sore from the dry cough heaves! Obviously I discontinued using it and my condition eventually returned to where I have productive coughing. I feel I was prescribed the wrong puffer!

I have used Qdoc multiple times both for myself and my child. I highly recommend! It feels so scary on a weekend or evening and you think the only option is a 10 hour wait at urgent care or emerg. Qdoc had been a godsend! I even saw an excellent nurse practitioner one time - and everything was so smooth from the prescription order, note to my family doctor etc. I just can’t say enough good things about this virtual service. It’s amazing. Also, don’t be dismayed if they don’t have a doctor ready to see you immediately - they text you once the doc is ready (and so you can go about and do other things until the doc is free!). It’s awesome

My first experience was a bit tricky as I needed to set up the right allowances to be able to take the call. But once I got through that portion the actual call was helpful and my needs were met. In my case I am asthmatic and tested positive for covid. It seemed that I have a sinus infection and after a bad experience with pneumonia last year, exactly at this time, I am getting an antiviral to help mitigate it from happening again. I am super grateful for this avenue and being spared waiting for a few days to see my family doctor or having to wait at a walk in where I might be exposed to other ailments.

I had less of a wait time for QDoc than I do with any of my scheduled appointments with my family doctor. I maybe waited 15 minutes in the queue, and everything was great. I just tested positive for COVID, and was looking for a prescription for paxlovid, something I figured would take 3 minutes, and guess what? It actually took 3 minutes. 10/10 would recommend over any walk in clinic, and my own family doctor, who wanted me to wait until late next week to have a 3 minute appointment to have a prescription written for my COVID symptoms.

Absolutely incredible service, and I'm so glad it was created. Grateful to the folks who organize this service, and get healthcare out to folks to eliminate lines in clinics and waiting rooms. I made my profile and was seen within 5 minutes by a nurse practitioner, who prescribed me antibiotics. If I had gone to a walk in clinic, it would have swallowed up my whole day; but instead I was able to get medical attention in the comfort of my home. Will recommend to EVERYONE.

Professional, Kind, Patient. Considering how accessible this service is, I’m surprised how patient and kind the doctor I spoke to was. I wrote like 3 paragraphs about my situation when I submitted the details about my health. The doctor I spoke to opened the convo by regarding aspects of what I wrote which I thought was excellent. This is healthcare!!! The solution was reached quickly but without a rush. The right questions were asked and I am happy I chose this service!

This service used to be amazing. But I have been on the waitlist this time (confirmed by calling the number) for 3 DAYS without being seen by a doctor. I keep being booted off after the 8-hour cut off and as soon as that happens, I log right back in. Nothing. No appt., and when I call the number to see if there is anything that can be done, all they say is "we have escalated it". I know I could go to a walk-in clinic, but that is not the point of this service.

Waited 8 hours only to be taken off the wait list as per their practice. Now I have to go on the list again if I still want to talk to someone. As a single parent, I was excited to receive health care assistance without having to arrange child care. I am not confident that I will actually be given priority if I go on the list again. It also strikes me a bit weird that no one else has had this experience and all the reviews are 4 or 5 stars.

I pulled an abdominal muscle. I am 5 days post op knee replacement. Having to see my doc in her office was impossible. And in our town we have no ER. And also I knew this was not an emergency so I did not want to go to closest ER. The advice I received was excellent. Also admin support to make my phone ready for video was excellent. Both service providers were patient and kind. They listened and helped me very much

I had my first Qdoc call today after being referred by my local pharmacist. Both of my regular docs were not available today and I was too sick to drive into Wpg to wait in a walkin for many hours. I highly recommend the service and the Dr. Apeoso for their excellent service. The audio and video on the call were excellent and the prescriptions I needed are being faxed to my local pharmacy for pick up tomorrow.

The first time i used QDoc for my toddler the wait time was not long at all. Since then I've used this service for myself 2 times, the first time the wait was so long so then i scheduled an appointment at 2 pm and it still took forever for a doctor to actually talk to me. Now the second time I'm using this service for myself, I've been on the wait list since about 9 am. It is almost 3 pm and still nothing.

First time trying it and I got zero care. I was put on a wait list after filling out some forms and never got anywhere further after a four hour wait. I would have been seen quicker at a walk-in. I likely won't ever bother trying this service again. Where does Canadian health care rank when compared to other high income countries again? Wasn't it second last? Do we at least get a participation reward?

5 Stars all the way through! The hospital here told me if I wanted to be seen I’d have to wait till everyone else got seen first because I wasn’t having an emergency. I’m having an allergic reaction and it’s escalating to infections. Took me MAYBE a half hour to been seen here with QDoc, AND THEY HELPED. Genuine concern for my wellbeing and instant help and care. I will DEFINITELY be recommending!!

The experience was tremendous. Seeing as I couldn’t get in to see my family physician, I was told about Qdocs from a friend. From the time I completed my profile I was on the line with a doctor in minutes and he prescribed me what I needed right away. My daughter and I waited less than 5 minutes for a doctor to meet with us virtually. We had good internet connection and the technology (camera/microphone, etc) worked fine. We live where there is no cell service, so I am glad that this is compatible with laptop and wi-fi. The doctor was nice. My daughter will need a follow-up visit, but at least we are re-assured that it is not an emergency.

Dr. Eng was incredible. Gave me all sorts of information about my injury, and noticed i was anxious and helped ease my mind. Also gave me antibiotics right away. She even called me the next day to check up on how i was doing. Prefer this much rather than waiting in a urgent care for 10+ hours…I really hope to continue to see dr eng the next time I need qdocs services.

Was told a doctor was ready to see me then wasted 35 minutes sitting on my computer and no one showed up. Nice. Update: I received a phone call shortly after the online response to my review. They said it was technical difficulties and apologized. I tried again and saw someone within a 90 minute time window. Worked good and I’d suggest it to anyone.

This is an excellent service! It was fast and Dr. Ola was knowledgable and very helpful. I wouldn't have been able to make it to a clinic today and would have had to wait to address my issue if it was not for this service. I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who is not able to make it to a clinic for any reason.

I had an awesome experience with the physician on qdoc! I would definitely use this service again for next time. The physician was very pleasant, took time to read my chart & concerns prior to the video conference. The wait time is just over an hour but at least I was at the comfort of my home while I wait for the doctor.

My visit with a nurse practitioner on Q-doc was great. I got in fast, I didn’t feel rushed, he asked questions, didn’t dismiss me and was very helpful! He is sending me for appropriate tests, and made sure I was satisfied with the appointment before we parted ways. All within the convenience of my coffee break at work!

I live out of town and this saved me a whole lot of driving when I was at my worst. It was incredibly easy to use, I felt heard, my medical issues were addressed in an appropriate and timely manner and I didn't have to drive for hours to the city . This was a really great service and a game changer for us rural folks.

Helpful to have access to a virtual "walkin" service to meet the needs of myself and my family. I could wait in the comfort of my own home with my sick (but stable) child instead of making her sicker and exposing her to everyone else at a physical walk-in clinic. easy to use service and directions were very clear.

It could be good. I've tried 4 different times in the last day. Either I get the notification that someone is reviewing my chart, and then no one shows up, or I get kicked to a wait list. I'm far from any walk in so it's a problem. I've seen Dr's before and the service in itself is usually good if you can get it.

Love this site.. No “waiting rooms” .. every doctor we have seen (my husband & myself) have been professional, empathetic and have resolved the issues. You may have to wait to see a doctor, but you can go about your day and will receive a text when the Dr is ready to see you.. Would highly recommend this site!

I was frustrated at first. Not understanding if I had filled something out incorrectly. Upon hearing how busy (or backed-up) our medical professionals are right now, I now understand. I had a great meeting with a Nurse Practitioner. It was very professional! I'm extremely impressed & pleased with this service.

This site was so very helpful! The doctor listened to our concerns, was thorough in her questioning about the symptoms, and was respectful of our experience with a chronic condition. She also was very clear about what steps to take next if the symptoms didn't subside. The virtual visit was much appreciated!

This is such a great service! I was waiting for less than 10 minutes to be connected with a physician. I was able to stay comfortable at home without clogging up the ER or Urgent Care waiting room for what is a minor injury. I will 100% be recommending this program to others and most likely use it again.

Great resource! Waited 2 hrs for a Dr. Was updated by text messages so didn't have to have my phone open the whole time. Super nice Dr.! Will definitely use this again for minor issues! My son had hives/rash. Nice to not have to go in person and wait a long time or take my younger kids with me.

Wasn’t able to get an appt at my family doc for over a week. Calling QDoc took a while to get a doctor but much better than going and waiting at a walk-in. Was able to go about my day normally and talk to the doc when they were available. If you can wait a couple hrs it’s fantastic.

Knowledgable and efficient service. A bit of a wait time, but I got on with my morning and received a text when a practitioner was ready for my appointment. So much less time than a doctor's appointment or walk-in clinic for an issue that doesn't require an in person assessment.

I have used QDoc several times. The waits have been minimal. I have not had to leave my home unnecessarily - just to pick up the prescription. Sitting and waiting in a walk in clinic is avoided. The info is shared with my doctor. A great service. I highly recommend this service

Took a bit to be seen but not terribly long. The doctor was very nice. polite, and helpful. This was our first time using QDoc and I was happy to be able to stay at home rather than taking my sick child out to a clinic as there aren't any clinics close by that are open weekends

This is absolutely the best thing for us people who live in northern communities and have zero access to doctors venturing out of our communities to go wait in waiting room for eight hours and still not seeing a doctor is the reality. This whole experience has been wonderful

I always have a great experience! The doctors I have connected with have been very nice especially dr. Sawyer. I did this 3 times already and two out of the three I got connected Fairly quickly and you don't even have to leave your home. I defiently recommend this.

Q doc is an amazing service. I was able to upload a video, have a great conversation , get some additional advice and most importantly a prescription for my daughter. On a Sunday morning, and didn’t have to drag my sick kid to the walk in. Thank you Q doc.

This is such a great service. You carry on with your day and they let you know when someone is available to see you. It really saves you sitting in a waiting room with a bunch of sick people. This is always my first choice before going to a walk-in clinic

We have tried this service twice with no success accessing it. Hours of waiting, no ability to schedule appointments and getting booted off the waitlist after 8 hours. I was pretty excited to have this service available but have been disappointed.

It’s kind of amazing to be able to speak with a Dr LIVE….Via video chat!! What an incredible service!! User friendly, they text you to know you’re on a wait list, text you when the Dr is ready to meet with you. All my questions answered, amazing!

You really have to be watching for when they text because they cancel your spot in the queue in 5 minutes, but give you priority when you enter the queue again. I was seen really fast the second time and the doctor was really nice and helpful.

Quick, efficient, got the care I needed. Really can't complain. Some small things that would be cool is an ETA of current wait times just so you know if you're waiting in a long or short queue but really that's just a small convenience feature

I heard about this service and thought there is no way it could be this easy. I was wrong. Made a profile, requested a doctor then went along with my day. With 90 min I had the call and my prescription was sent to the pharmacy. Thanks Q Docs.

Fast and efficient and easy! A great idea/alternative when an in person visit is not necessary and your regular doc is not available. We didn't have to wait long at all and were able to get assessed and get a prescription for my little guy

QDoc is a life saver for non emergent medical advise without having to wait in a waiting room for a lengthy amount of time. I can go about my day and have my children seen without having to load everyone up and head to town.

I've been waiting for a doctor since 1pm it is now 5pm. When I called yesterday about my daughter's ear infection I was told she didn't have one cause babies cry. Mine does not . Now today she has a screaming ear infection.

Very easy to register and it took just a few minutes to connect with a very friendly doctor who was able to refill my prescription. Beats having to make an appointment at the same day clinic and take time off work.

Quick set up and quick access to a doctor to get the care my family needed. Our family doctor is retiring soon and QDoc is going to be a great option for us due to the shortage of doctors.

So great! Dr Silver was quick yet thorough. We got the care we needed without having to leave our home. A prescription was sent in right away and ready for pickup in minutes. Amazing!

Excellent alternative to waiting in a walk-in clinic or for two weeks to get a 5 minute appointment with your GP. It certainly meets a need by providing accessible medical care.

This service is amazingly efficient. I asked to speak to a doctor and was already done 5 minutes later! This may not be the norm, I really don't know, but I am very impressed.

After a few tries during the day I got on quite quickly. Doc was very nice and professional. Answered all my questions and didn’t rush me. So glad we have this tool to use.

Fast and painless refill of my medications. Was done in less than 10 mins right from my home. The local clinic will have to improve quite a bit for me to ever go back.

The doctor was kind, and she solved and explained my concerns regarding my constipation caused after gallbladder surgery due to the intake of medications .
