I saw Toby's review above and it prompted me to share my experience. The staff and customers at this beautiful bustling cafe are second to none. We were walking through with our pram on the weekend and yes it was busy, but the staff ran out and greeted us with a smile, then proceeded to hoist our pram in the air like a palanquin, with four of them carrying our baby through like a Queen (Queen Ester maybe), while singing and dancing. It was incredible. We felt like royalty. They then found us a table and served us the most incredible lunch we have had the pleasure of eating here on the Northern Beaches. Thank you Queen Ester!!! If only you could 6 star the service.

This is our new favourite lunch spot on Saturdays. The place is always busy but the service is fast, efficient and friendly. Many other hospitality businesses could learn a lot from this venue. The menu is small but all of dishes that we have tried are delicious. I have had the falafel pitta (in the pic) several times, the quality has been consistent on every visit. The atmosphere is very lively and the team obviously get on well, operating from not much more than a home in the wall they do a great job pumping out a good volume of dishes. Highly recommended if you are anywhere near Newport.

Food is excellent here although service was below par on our visit - close to 30 mins waiting for our meal and also found the music playing too loudly for the small space. Both the falafel and schwarma are worthy choices

This place was closed for nearly a month while the owners took a well-deserved break visiting family. I still looked down the street where they are when I drove past just in case they had decided to come back early for us. Everything is great about this heavenly slice of Israel. The food, staff, music, & ambience contribute to a lovely little community - when I bring my friends from the other side of town they are always envious!

Such a delight to find felafel in a pita just like in Israel! A shame that they ran out of menu items and my disappointment almost drove me to give a four star review, but the lingering taste of my trip to Israel forgave them! Stopped in Newport for early lunch after a swim on the northern beaches. Wow what a find. Food and coffee delicious. We had the Israeli pastry and falafel pita and shared. Both were full of flavour and quite filling. Such a great spot and staff super friendly. Will be back

OMG it was the BEST Falafel that I have had outside of Israel, then there were the Shakshouka eggs, Cinnamon scrolls and Coffee! If only I still lived down there! Fantastic people running this little cafe, friendly, engaging and extremely capable doing the food they do in such a tiny space. I will be back!

Cauliflower bites and the mayo were next level absolutely delicious, chicken shawarma pita was very nice too but the bites... amazing! Customer service was great too

So sad we never got to try the 5 star breakfast. Not one staff member greeted us only barked as us that they were behind with coffee. We stood there for 10mins without as much as “hello give us a moment” nothing. Won’t bother to come back.

Food is absolutely delicious, coffee is the best I’ve found on the Peninsula (ask for a Magic coffee - double shot restrestito three quarters milk latte) and the staff treat everybody like old friends. What a find. Fantastic!!

Just confirming. What has already been stated by others: The falafels are to die for, and the coffee is soooo good. How did I live in Avalon and not hear about Queen Esther ? Must stop in Newport more often. Ian & Hilary
