One of the few moving companies I would even consider recommending. Without directly naming their competitors, I am not sure said competitors are still in business after trying to deal with them - I am so happy we found Quickmovers. Moving doesn't need to be hard. You just need someone to accurately quote, be on time with the right equipment, and to move your belongings without making holes in the wall or breakings anything because of an attitude that your belongings doesn't belong to them. Quickmovers did it all perfectly, and made our very stressful move, just a little bit better. To go into details, they assisted with a very difficult on VERY short notice to move a couch where a security gate and front door had to be removed. They did this from the second story, and manuever the couch out of the entrance and down the narrow stairs - it was a struggle but they managed without damaging our couch or any walls. The rest of our belongings were a breeze after the couch. They were also very helpful on the admin side, where we needed assistance on the type of truck that would be used, as there were very strict restrictions on what would be allowed to enter the new premises. They went out of their way, and sent whatsapp photos of the exact truck they would send for approval. On short notice, while their competitors were still not answering the phone or getting back to us with a final quote.

I got several quotes (I am still waiting for Biddulphs by the way). Also Economovers, Girls on the Move (consistently much more expensive than anyone else), Pickfords (slow turnarounds), Eddie's Transport (don't know what's happened to them over the years, changed hands, I think - I won't even approach them again), and Eezimove who I initially found to have a fast, fair and reasonable quote turnaround, but who was then shirty during a phone call, which doesn't work for me. So, I ended up using Quick Movers, a little late to come to the house at appointed time to give me my very first quote (late is one of my pet peeves, sorry Shaniqua), but after that UNBELIEVABLY GOOD, organised and fair, fast turnaround times on quotes, fast but careful on moves, on time for moves, no attitude from anyone, no expectant anything, dealing with stuff that needed to be hoisted in their stride, and then, when I had to cancel the very last (paid for in full) move within 48hours of said move (I had had several moves for this one big move), Shaniqua simply said "no problem" and refunded me the entire amount. I now completely trust them and will not use anyone else.

Used Quick Movers twice over the last month and a half. With the first move they were late by 45 minutes. I had to call their office to ask where the movers were and Craig did not follow up with his driver and team and get back to me. I had to phone their offices 3 times that morning, eventually they arrived being 45 minutes late. Naively we used them again a few weeks later, this time our car key went missing while the movers were in our house. We have since turned the house upside down searching for the key, the key is still missing. We asked Quick Movers to claim for this as its R5000 to replace the key, and the key went missing while their team was in our house, we have received very poor feedback from them. We have also asked for the details of the team that moved us, and have received no feedback from Craig and team. We are going to open a case with the police for theft. Very poor service, if you want to have your stuff go missing, use these guys. We don't recommend them at all and wont use them again.

I was not happy with the additional charges that kept creeping up after the quote was provided. For example there was an additional charge of R900 because the truck was not permitted inside the complex so the movers had to shuttle the furniture with a trailor. Seeing that this is the company's area of expertise, they should be able to advise clients of the possibility of this happening in order for us to enquire so that if this is the case we know beforehand instead of being told when the furniture is already at the gate. Secondly i kept getting calls after the move had taken place to say that we need to pay for the bed being assembled, This is a given, if the bed was being taken apart then surely it would need to be assembled at the destination and again this should have been included on the quote and discussed at the pre inspection. The pricing for the additional services is stated on the quote,however, the whole point of the pre inspection is to see what needs to be done and include this accordingly.

Average service. The workers where on time and that was the only positive. I was quoted for a shuttle service which we did not end up using, but instead they said I must still pay for the shuttle (which I had no problem with) but on top of it all I had to pay the workers cash for extra labour. My argument was that we could’ve come to an agreement to use the charges intended for the shuttle, for the extra labour of the workers due to the distance they had to carry the furniture at our pick ip address. Furthermore, I was quoted for two load, but it was only necessary for one load. I could’ve gone for a mich cheaper quote, but in the end decided on Quock Movers because of their good reviews and their willingness to attempt to match my cheaper quotes. Needless to say, I ended up paying R1000 more than what I could’ve with two other companies, and their service was not at all as what was promised or reviewed.

We used Quick movers to move our household goods into storage. -When we went to retrieve the goods, we noticed that our gas braai had been badly damaged and that they had tried to hide this damage from us by storing the braai at the back on the storage container. -We notified them of the damage and it took 4 months for them to collect for repair and return the gas braai to us. -On return, the braai was still not returned to its original state before the damage. -The point of contact from the Quick Move team we liaised with was difficult to get hold of and didn’t always return calls in connection with us querying progress on fixing this braai.

Ok, so I hired these guys to move houses for me, price wise they were reasonable. Listen, interms of working around the clock, I certainly give them props, and just when I was about to write a review about how good and professional their work is... I noticed something wierd. Now I had bought a Polo Shirt for one of my team members as a gift, this was in a gift bag. After unpacking I noticed that this bag is empty. I decided to check everything and where the bag was packed. And 7 days later, I still couldn't find the shirt. Which only made me have conclusion, "it was stolen" so thank you but no thanks, I am never using them ever again.

The Quickmovers team were successfully tasked to hand deliver my important/ confidential documents at various government departments and embassies in Pretoria for attestations and to follow up the release of other documents that were not forthcoming. I am very disappointed in the service. Job was not done completely and the company promised coming to fix it up and I am still waiting for the fix up. Even though I sent an inventory ahead of time they claim the material brought was not enough to cover all my goods. I even offered to pay for additional material just so they can do the job but they never did come through. I am still waiting. Otherwise I am not impress with the service at all
