I go to this place 3 or 4 times a week for a coffee, muffin or a cheese sandwich. I have ignored the more often then not stale muffins and watery coffee with grounds floating in the bottom of my cup. I have ignored the rude uninviting signs posted everywhere in the store by the Hitler type manager. I have ignored the overwhelming negative vibe. Why? Because there is no other coffee shop on my route to Glencairn station. Today the manager crossed the line. They lost a customer. I always grab a bun and ask for a slice of Swiss cheese. The cost is under 3 bucks. The odd time the girl hands it to me toasted. 30 seconds on a press. I do not ask for this but enjoy it when she does. Today I go in, grab my bun and ask for my cheese sandwich. The manager puts her hands on her hips and in a rude accusatory tone asks me if I want it grilled. Before I can answer she says "Because that more money. That a grilled cheese sandwich" For almost triple the price. I say ' You are charging me extra to put the same product on a press for 30 seconds" I get a condescending triumphant YEP in response. This is the same woman who I smile at and politely chat with on a weekly basis. FOR OVER A YEAR. Today she acted like I stole from the bakery. Like I was in some way trying to get free food and sneakily rip the bakery off. ( Apparently the odd time I received UNASKED my bun and 1 slice of cheese heated for 30 seconds without paying triple the price is theft in her eyes) I was never her biggest fan but made the best of it when I went in. I acted like a decent NORMAL courteous person. I can honestly say that if this area had another local coffee shop no one would go there because of this horrendous manager. REPEAT Customers are what make a business. She needs to show respect. I have never felt more unwelcome in any business as this woman made me feel today. Unwelcome and embarrassed in front of the other clientele. I now firmly believe that this woman has some sort of mental health issue. She seems to get a kick out of being rude and controlling. Do the owners know how alienating to customers her attitude is.

Decided to try to try R bakery when I was in need of a bun for a sandwich. The large white bun was delicious and soft. I decided to go back two more times. The second time I purchased their sourdough, small corn bread and alfajores. The sourdough was good, but on the mild side in terms of tanginess. The corn bread was interesting as it was a roll/bun. It went nicely with some spicy jam. The alfajores was not what I was expecting. It was sweet but I thought it would have a more pronounced dulce de leche taste. The cookie was nice and firm, yet crumbled nicely when you bit in to it. I read later that there are different ways to make this cookie and since I have never had it before, I can't really make a comparison to any other alfajores. However, I don't think I would get it again. The staff were friendly, answered my questions and I was in and out quickly. However, the reason for the 2 stars is because of safety. Each time I have gone in, I have noticed less adherence to the mask mandate. The first time, one of the staff members was cutting a sandwich while thier mask was down around their chin. The second time I went in a staff member was working the register with their mask down low. The third time was the most egregious. One staff member was wearing their mask around their chin, when we made eye contact, pulled their mask over their mouth and nose. Another staff member, in the back, was chewing on something with no mask at all. Another staff member pulled thier mask down to speak to a coworker, went to the bread display, grabbed and bagged a focaccia - all while their mask remained around their chin. Lastly, one of the staff members wore their mask, while cashing out customers, below their nose.

Solid 4.5 Located at the corner of Marlee and Enid Cres. There is a small parking lot out front and some street parking off Enid. From the exterior was only thinking this was a bakery with a sit down area to enjoy… boy was I in for a pleasant surprise. Walking in, there was a very large sitting area with a TV tuned to CP24. Looking around, there definitely was a cafe with a nice spread of very yummy pasties/ cakes and a very nice spread of breads on the opposing wall. The back area was what caught my attention, a big deli with a very nice selection of deli meats and sandwich selection. There was also a hot station with some pastas, roasted potatoes along with baked sausages and porketta I picked a little of everything, a focaccia sandwich, vegetable fried noodle paired with the baked sausages topped with grilled onions and peppers. Also got a Arancini and some baked goods for dessert to bring home. The noodle/ sausages were delicious along with the fresh focaccia sandwich stuffed with freshly sliced salami and cheese. Will definitely make a return to enjoy the sit down for a nice meal with a hot cappuccino and a slice of cake to try them out Will definitely enjoy the atmosphere

Food looks appealing. Desserts look amazing. Coffee is not that great which is too bad. But the reason for 2 stars is due to the employees snobbish attitudes- there are two there that can just ruin your morning with bad vibes. You don't feel like you're walking into your neighborhood cafe because the attitude just spoils it. I bought a few sandwich croissants to go for my children's lunch and was in a rush so I asked if they could just cut it in half since I would be driving them to school. The younger employee said she wouldn't do it for me because they don't like to cut croissants, pizza or anything savory or sweet for people as a rule which makes no sense because they're a bakery. Therefore she gave me the option to go cut it myself which I would then have to ask for a plate and napkins and then re-bag everything when slicing takes 5 seconds on their side. Question is- is that a rule or is that just laziness?

Yet another great bakery in Toronto and a truly hidden gem from many Torontonians. From their fresh hot table, deli and catering services serving even breakfast, coffee, pastries and cakes you won't forget about this place, returning time and time again. While there, don't forget to try their amazing fresh bread products, especially the olive loaf that'll make for a great dining experience when you get it all back home to share with the family. That is, of course, if your purchases make it back there at all, especially their tasty cannoli, sfogliatelli, and even the custard tarts are made in a truly Portuguese style, sure to please everyone taste senses. Did I mention how friendly, helpful and efficient their staff are? Enjoy! Edit: Yet another great visit to this cafe and bakery. You have got to try anything and everything there and be amazed at this hidden gem, especially their Olive bread.

We have been RACIALLY-PROFILED HERE. We politely ordered to a nice cashier, and took a seat. Not even a minute later, a blonde server went to our table and started telling us that if we want to take a seat, we should at least buy a bottle of water. As if accusing us of loitering, and not having enough money to pay for our orders. She was really condescending about it too. There were many people lounging around waiting for their orders as well, but why were we the only ones she started targeting? Was it because we are not white? She didn't "ask" anybody else. It was absolutely humiliating as other customers were looking too. She apologised, still, in a condescending manner. The other times we were there, the other employees are nice but this blonde girl always acts so high and mighty. I want to see the management take action about this because it was a genuinely horrible experience.

I'm not sure how to rate this bakery. I visited the place and all the food looks very good and the birthday cake pictures in the reviews look lovely. When I tried to place an order for a custom cake, the communication was not the best, I took days to get through, spoke with multiple people, emailed and eventually went in person the day before I needed the cake, to find out they couldn't make it. The bakers must be busy making all that delicious food, of which my child had a share at someone else's birthday party. This bakery came as highly recommended. Now I need to find a place who can make her birthday cake, but I wouldn't blame another bakery if they couldn't make it on a 1 day notice. The birthday cake is such an important piece of the party for a little child, I hope we can still find something nice after R-Bakery let us down.

R Bakery cafe delivers amazing quality every time! They kept running their business despite all the challenges during pandemic and we loved the opportunity to sit on their patio and enjoy 2 espressos and 2 cakes (Japanese and Tiramisu) last day before the third lockdown. We are really looking forward to Toronto’s reopening and next opportunity to sit down here. In the meantime, you may come here every day and take out amazing pastries, very tasty bread (we love their buns and focaccia bread with olives), cooked food, sandwiches and phenomenal cakes. Related to cakes, you may order customized cakes for your guests and functions (after COVID) and you won’t be disappointed! Whenever I ordered cake every time they called me back to check when I’m coming to pick up and it was very easy to send pictures to create a special picture cake!

Is it possible to give 0 stars? I just went to this bakery with my two children after school, since their catholic school is across the road. There are a few tables, and there was only one chair at the only available table. Many tables, where ppl r drinking espressos like all day have extra chairs, I asked two people for an extra chair for my kids, and i was told NO, their purses and jackets are more important. Obviously, after purchasing $10 worth of carrot cake, and my kids sharing a chair, and me standing, they proceeded to knock it of the table and break all the plates. Everyone stared at me, and watched me try to clean it up, scrubbing the floor. No employees helped. I decided to leave it after i picked up everything off of the floor, and just get out asap.

I usually come an hour before to get a sandwich, desert and coffee, I like panini’s but the machine is off an hour before 7:30, if you close at 7:30pm why shut down things at 6:30. I have been here few times , i will give it one more chance. I agree with other comments, coffee could be a lot better, espresso machine would be great and staff could be friendly, every time I come they are in a rush to close and hardly smile, neighborhood cafe should be more friendly specially when regulars come. One more chance next week.

The baked goods are amazing. However, they are incredibly stingy. My mother and I had lunch and bought some sweets to take home. We decided to get another tart to take home before we left, and we wanted to get a second small box to put the rest of my mom's sandwich in. The lady at the counter said she could only put the tart in a bag because I was buying just one. I explained that we needed a box for the food, but she said no. I would have to pay for the box. She charged me $1.75 for a take out box after we spent about $30 there!!! Seriously?? Very poor treatment of customers.

  • Muncher

I’m laughing to myself after a terrible customer service experience. I ordered the lemon meringue tart and when I took a bite it had a strange funky egg/ metallic taste. I kindly tried to exchange it- the lady insisted that I try another one. I tried the next one to be polite and when I tried to give it back and asked to exchange for a different type she instead just handed my money back rudely and would not exchange it. I have no idea what the backstory was but she didn’t seem to care or to be surprised by the bad tart.

  • Jared Miller

Great food and coffee but I feel fairly unwelcome by the staff, there are a few sweet people but a lot of staff members are fairly short and rude which is disappointing. One staff member in particular is incredibly condescending and gets noticeably angry when she cannot hear you (seriously, we're wearing masks). My other complaint is the line, there needs to be a second line for people ordering coffee and pastry to clear people out faster, as the store becomes full very fast and social distancing virtually impossible.

  • Patricia Altman

This is my neighbourhood go to bakery. Their bread is fantastic. As are their desserts. And they have a great hot table The staff are supper helpful and pleasant My adult children and grandchildren Always appreciate Just wish their chocolate fillings weren’t Nutella style. One of my grandchildren has serious nut allergies. Glad I originally asked. Could have had a hospital run There’s no gluten feee options for us celiac’s. Which is a pity Know Marlee is being developed. Please don’t leave us

  • Marco Campoli

Always Friendly Service. The fresh made chocolate crossiant are to die for if you can get one as they sell quickly. Also the Portuguese natas are the best I've ever had in the city . All the deserts taste amazing and baked goods are made daily, fresh. Even try the fresh daily hot table around noon and its been great everytime. Definitely will keep coming here . Great aura and ambience with seating inside as well as a lil side patio with lots of flowers makes it a nice lil hidden gem in Toronto

  • Florian O.

It used to be one of the most affordable neighborhood groceries in Toronto. Unfortunately, with inflation, they had to increase the prices to stay afloat. Thankfully, they did not sacrifice the quality of their food or their services. This is still an awesome place to sit down and eat. The bread is baked fresh in store, and the hot table is full of assortment. There are pastries here, custom-made cakes sandwiches made to order, and a pleasant aroma of freshly baked panini. Highly recommend!

  • AllveSant

The employee who served me today was cynical, he served me very badly. I bought a lot of bread, paid with a debit card and she said that I hadn't paid my order. They let me wait a long time, then they served me a different bread that I had ordered. Conclusion: My coffee has cooled and my bread has been wasted! Lousy and arrogant service that I had with a woman. She is despicable. What a misfortune to have gone there today. I suggest that when you go to this place, ask for the receipt.

My wife and I we're looking for a local spot where we could enjoy lunch. Since we're both vegetarian and they didn't have any vegetarian options on their lunch menu they directed us to their breakfast menu, we wanted to get eggs benedict but asked if we could get steamed veggies instead of sausage they declined the substitution and said we would have to pay an additional $3.99. So on principle we walked out, they should be more accommodating to people with dietary restrictions.

  • Chau Le

I am so impressed! We live in the neighbourhood and didn't have a great experience a few years ago. But after 3 years we gave R Bakery another try based on reviews, and we loved everything! We had their breakfast in the morning, took home their sandwiches, fresh bread and deli items, and dinner from their hot table. Everything was delicious, fresh and very affordable! We'll be coming back again :D Make sure to go early for breakfast! By 10:30 it was packed!

We had ordered for a cat theme birthday cake for our daughter's birthday last year. The cake was super soft and fresh. We loved the flavor. It was vanilla with Strawberry icing. This year, we ordered a dog theme one. Nobody could have done it better than R Bakery. It was a black forest with loads of cherries stuffed in the layers. The team was very helpful in deciding the flavor, the size and ensures a seamless transaction. We highly recommend this place.

  • Stephanie Dror

Scrumptious. We've had cakes, cookies, sandwiches, coffee, croissants, hot table pizza, fresh breads and buns, sliced deli meats, pre-made pizza dough--almost everything they have to offer and it's all been excellent. We haven't dined-in, but we will ;) Customer service is great, they take all forms of payment, they are kind to you and care for your food. A perfect place to stop for a quick snack/bite/coffee on your busy North York/York commute.

  • Erin W

Wella. New manager, that is so rude. I purchased 40.00 worth of macaroon, they were stale and old. Another time I got food poisoning from a sandwich... I have called the owner "Ed" four times, but will not have the courtesy to call back. The manager "whan" has for some unknown reason not talking to me, she will not serve me, I have never had a bad word with her or anyone else....very very strange... The manager needs to check on his employees.

  • Peter O.

Great place to have breakfast. Very decently priced coffee and specialty coffees along with a good variety of breakfast. Their desserts are also amazing! You can buy freshly baked bread - they make it here fresh! Cafe clerks are nice and the place is clean. The ambience could be better though. I also saw a fly inside the bakery glass and the bread outside is exposed which is not exactly ideal. Free sufficient parking outside.

  • Willow B

It's a hit or miss with the staff. Some are rude and unfriendly, depends on the staff. Its a turn off.. The owner was nice.. They don't have labeling on any of the hot table and one of the staff always gives attitude when you ask what the menu for that day is. Sometimes you don't know if you are getting veal or chicken. The coffee bean here isn't that great. The pastries are really good I'll give them a 5 stars for that.

  • dakota roberts

Very disgusted in the customer service skills of the Spanish young women. She was very rude and snobby and made me seem like a burden. She didn’t do well to questions and sighed, rolled her eyes and overall was just not pleasant. She did not know the names of the pastries and gave lots of negative body language. Pastries here are great and I am a baker myself, I would NOT have someone like that working for me.

  • Dee Ann

I tend to agree with the other posters. The manager is unprofessional and quite rude. I understand this is 1 of 2 locations and she is not an owner. Unfortunately she treats staff and patrons as if they work directly for her. Incredibly cheap with product, bags napkins and use of the restroom. And yes the many signs posted are a bit much. I avoid now and make the trip to Lawrence and Bathurst for my pastries.

  • Maja Radulovic

Bought what appeared to be a cheesecake topped with mixed fruit (strawberries, kiwi, pineapple) - it had no semblance to cheesecake taste-wise and unfortunately no flavour at all, really… it reminded me of a ricotta and whipped cream cake with a very wet and bland crust on the bottom. Fruit on top was very pretty but ultimately it was stale, overly soft and flavourless, much like the rest of the cake…

  • Revati K

I wanted to share the experience I had with R Bakery. I called on Feb 10th and spoke with a lady and despite being busy, she called me back and listened to what I wanted. I got a strawberry shortcake for my Anniversary and Valentine's day. It was simply perfect and their little pastries are amazing! I will definitely be going there to buy my cakes for any occasion. Thank you for making our day! :)

  • William Mitchell

Delightful bakery.....good coffee, pastry, baked goods and hot food (no hot food on Sundays). Try their olive bread......you'll be back for more. Mornings they do breakfast......start your day there........5 STAR BTW.....need a birthday cake.....you need to see the outstanding creations....a cake for everyone from the youngest to grandma..you'll be a big hit when you bring one home!!!

  • Jackson Sales

Fantastic bakery R Bakery is a staple in the Marlee community. Fresh breads, amazing sandwiches, and a large hot table selection you can't go wrong stopping by for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Let me tell you, I had the strudel from R Bakery and I was back the next day to buy more! It is by far the best I've had in the city. If you're in the area you should check it out!

  • D. J.

Service is generally great. Their cold cuts I find are less salty compared to other competitors in the area (I.e. Sobeys). They have some of the best, softest and freshest buns in the city. Their desserts are scrumptious, delicious and extremely fair priced. I suggest a cheesecake, Portuguese custard, or palm leaf if you want to fulfill your sweet tooth!

  • Aryan Mojiri

Food looked great and reasonably priced. Great selection of breads, and the coffee was ok. There are afew seats to dine. They offer cakes and pastries as well but no icecream or gelato. The only thing that was a bit odd to me was the seating time limit, never seen that before…anyway. Friendly staff and clean shop. They also offer some cheese and meat.

  • ElizabethAshley

I got 12 pastries this evening. Which included New York cheesecake slice. Oreo cookie cheesecake slice. Cannoli. Eclair. And nata. The only thing I actually ate and enjoyed was the Nata. Everything else tasted like lemon. It's like they had a lemon cream base, and filled every pastry and cake with it. The Oreo (lemon) cheesecake was the worst.

  • Boogie Boogs

Excellent and fresh bread and veggies! The staff are very friendly and skilled at what they do. They were enthusiastic and genuinely helpful in getting me something to eat as a vegan. It's a nice big room with plenty of room to unwind and study. Bonus: They have a groovy jazz station on the radio; played Bob James 'Nautilus', and made my day.

  • Mina

Ordered the strawberry shortcake, mixed fruits cheesecake and pastries for my husband's birthday and everything was just absolutely perfect. A huge thank you to Alda for your help for the past few weeks & for making this surprise a success!!! I really appreciate how organized everything was. I would definitely recommend R Bakery

  • Marvin Ng

Great place for a quick meal. Service was friendly and fast. Ordered the proquetta combo and chicken parm sandwich, both was delicious. Coffee tasted unique because it was imported. Pastries look good but didn't get a chance to try. Will definitely come back. Not the most comfortable environment with everyone coming and going.

  • Apeksha

If you are looking for something really FRESH… don’t forget to check out R bakery’s menu. I have been visiting this place since 4 years and never have been disappointed. I love their pastries, croissants, breads and everything that they have. Every time I visit my family and friends I definitely carry a box from R bakery.

  • Jeremy Matos

Great Portuguese bakery in York. Prices are all extremely competitive. The Pasteis de nata is obviously the focus, but there is a wide selection of different and sometimes unusual pastry. Honestly a better bet to serve a cake or pastry at a party than most of the super fancy bakeries, and it won't cost 55$ for a cake.

Food is good. So is coffee. But service is so terrible I’ll never be back. Both staff behind the counter were rude and making fun of me for asking questions (such as, how many espresso shots do each size latte have). Not a welcoming place and food and drinks are not good enough to be treated that poorly.

  • Bobby Grigo

I would like to say this ….. i havent eat befofe a tarta like yours !!! It’s delicious … !!!! And i also wanna try everything you guys make or have there … big shoutout to the manager !!! She’s beautiful and so kind !! Very helpful !!! Ill visit your bakery very very soon !!! 5star all the way !!!!!

  • Iana Zagortseva

Good place for a daily espresso and a cold cut sandwich made on a freshly baked bun. They have amazing Portuguese Custard tarts and a huge variety of inexpensive pastries for any occasion. Located close to the subway station and definetly serving as a second home for many people in a neighborhood.

  • Flo B.

My bf and I make it out here just for their natas (custard tarts) anytime we're in the city. Best natas in the city by far. Has the right crispness and the smoothest and perfect sweetness for the filling. I don't know much else about their other goodies but I will vouch for their custard tarts.

  • Paul Cruickshank

Great little bakery with modern decor... prepared foods and fresh baked goods are great.. but it lacks atmosphere... no owner behind the counter to say hello and student staff that lack any sense of urgency or social skills... give me a warm smile and friendly service and 3 stars becomes a 5!

  • Rui Estevao

Was referred to this bakery by a friend! All I can say is WOW! The quality and selection of bread is fantastic! You won't find better tasting bread in the area! The hot table is delicious and the staff are super friendly and always smiling. If you're in the area, this is your new must stop!

  • Sylvia Nieweglowska

This bakery if defined by Freshness !!! Their pecan, olive and sour doug breads are to die for. So yummy and delicious and tasted so home made and natural. I had my son's 1st Communion party recently and all the guests were amazed how good the bread was. I highly recommend this bakery.

  • Lianne Smilezzz

They have really good bread here. I would always buy sweets or bread when the bakery was down the street. I need to come back because I saw a food section this time! Attached are the correct hours. The staff are friendly and speak both English and Portuguese. Definitely coming back!

  • Virginia Woodall

Fantastic neighbourhood cafe - I often walk down for a tea latte and a baked treat and have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and it's a go-to local place of mine for delicious desserts. I also DREAM of their lasagna - seriously the best I've ever had.

  • deepak kaushik

I found this cafe just by chance. At the beginning I wasn’t that much confident ordering coffee, but I gave it a try. I ordered cafe latte and with the very first sip in, I fell in love with it!! It is one of the best cafe in this area. A must try place! Good luck to the team …

  • Dina Rollox

Freshly baked. Wrong. A truck delivers the bread goods already on the trays in the early morning and the staff just puts it in the oven. Coffee is HORRIBLE and old pasteies are still sold at full price. Yiur lucky if you get a smile f3om the staff because they always look tired.

  • J. R. H.

This is a wonderful bakery and cafe. The coffee is delicious, which is awesome since there isn't anything else in the area. This place was hopping when I came by, which is testament to the excellence of their baked goods. I had this maple/pecan danish-thingy that was so yummy!

  • Sehl Ybon

I found this place by chance as I was looking for a place to eat and to stay warm (I did not have my car that day). And boy was I thankful! The place so cozy and quaint. I tried their Danish and their house blend coffee, and I enjoyed it. Would definitely come back next time.

  • Erik Blom

It's good bakery only thing the to go coffee cups always leak ..they need stronger paper cups.. and when they open in the morning they never have the muffins made....every morning I get a coffee to go and the cups start leaking...they need stronger paper cups..

Great breakfast sandwiches and pastry options , one thing they make that you will not find anywhere else is they’re amazing olive bread it’s truly exceptional Great location only thing I can recommend is to open up a little earlier for the morning rush. …

Cake and pastries were days old, hard and crusty. We were charged full price for cheesecake and chocolate cake that was hard enough that you couldn't have eaten them with a plastic fork. The canoli was also underfilled. Definitely not coming back.

Don't ever apply for a job They are definitely stereotype You wont get a job there if you have tattoos because I sure didnt and i was Qualified Very disappointed In this place ... it Is my neighbourhood Bakery and I thought that they were diffrent

  • Ray Khan

A nice bakery with some great choices.; unfortunately the new staff are poorly trained and as a result no breakfast arrived after waiting for 15 minutes. Only to find out the order was never placed. Update: recent experiences have been better.

  • Flavia Rohden

You must try their portuguese tart! It is incredible!!! The chocolate croissant and bakhalava are also delish. I’d say any of their pastries are yummy. I just wish I could bring my dog inside when I’m at the counter choosing what to take home.

  • Johnny Hsu

This bakery has many delicious cakes and desserts. Looks so good and also taste good. Have some, and I bet you will love their cakes as we do. This is the 1st time that we come to this place on the 2nd day of 2022. Happy we had a good choice.

  • vennisa huang

This place used to be good but not anymore . I have been going to this place since they were at the old location across the street. I craved their cinnamon roll more often than what is good for me. After they moved and expanded couple

Courteous and professional staff were very helpful with placing a custom cake order. I purchased a strawberries and cream cake and it was perfect. Beautiful and delicious. The star of the party! I would definitely recommend R Bakery.

  • Farhaan Moolla

Great food, typically great service expect today. Staff not very friendly today, was very disappointed. Not sure if they were just summer staff or temps. Regardless of this slight hiccup, the food here is amazing and that's why I go.

  • Maryam M

WE LOVED THIS PLACE. It’s such a cozy local cafe and we loved everything we tried: macchiato, cappuccino, the apple blossom pastry, pizza and the chicken ball. The prices were incredibly low as well. We will definitely go back.

  • Monika Joslin

A nice little bakery with a good selection of cakes, tarts and cupcakes. Great prices and delicious baked goods. A few tables available for seating. Service was fast and friendly. Worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood.

  • David Adler

While I do love dropping in to the bakery, today I was actually at the office next door. But if you want great coffee, sandwiches or bakery items (cake, muffins, tarts, etc.) or even just fresh bread, this is where I go.

  • Ralitza Dimova

Really great prices and excellent food. Their pastries are delicious and fresh, the hot foods are flavourful and their Americano is my favorite. Love this place! They also do a really tasty and very affordable breakfast!

Always go there but sadly it will be my last time..only because the desserts that i bought had mold all at the bottom. I told them but i just wanted a refund because i don't want to take the risk of gettong another one.

  • Filip Karadzic

Great choice and everything looks good to the eye. But the flour they use just seems of low quality, I am left feeling with a hole in my stomach after eating there, I am guessing they use a lot of chemical additives.

  • Melinda Ph

Good selection of sweet treats. Fresh baked bread. The only issue is that you may get lemon custard instead of plain custard. It's happened once before but on the last few visits all the desserts we had were great.

Fantastic Bakery! John and the staff always provide exceptional customer service, the focaccia is out of this world, and the pastries are delicious. Probably the best bakery cafe in the area, highly recommend.

First time having breakfast at this place, it was great. Only critique was the portion was very small for the price of my meal. I'll definitely be back to try their lunch/dinner menu, looks incredible.

I think their food is good and tasty. I tried mini shrimp Patty and Chicken patty which was good but the croissant was old. Coffee is okay but not exceptional. Customer service was good and friendly.

I love coming here for breakfast especially when the weather is nice and the patio isn't too busy. Their music playlist is great and their bread is delicious. Their sweets and food are also great.

  • Cris

Cute little bakery. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Prices were fair and service was great! Their little cakes and desserts were good but their breads were to die for! Will def visit again.

Food is the best! but not the service! 1 lady is a discriminating treatments with customers! very unpleasant! she serve the sandwiches cold!!!! she should not be in front! you will lose business.

R Bakery has excellent bread and buns! I very often buy chocolate and almond croissants for office breakfast. Everyone loves them! Affordable price and great quality. Will recommend to visit.

The food is amazing for a good prize. The staff offers a good service always. Try out the salads, grilled cheese sandwich (my fav with sesame seeds crusted bread) and all the sweet pastries!

  • Nick Hendriks

Plenty of seating available. Prices are good, staff very friendly. Good selection of pastries. The store has a kind of timeless vibe. Feels like 1999 in there, but not in a bad way at all.

I love the cafe, come here about 2 times a week. It's open 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. The staff are very friendly. I like the coffee and the parties. They bake breads here so they're very fresh

It is a good place to stop and have a coffee with a friend. Food may sit for while, think so, because what I ate didn't agree with my stomach. Stuff nice, place nice, w/r clean and nice.

Wake up in the morning, dress up, go to R Bakery to grab fresh bread. Buy way more than you need, eat it all. Repeat the next day. Fresh bread daily, rich selection, sinfully delicious.

Lukewarm coffee. Cold food not exactly what you ordered. When you complain they have no idea what you’re talking about. The bakery takeout is excellent. Breakfast Dine in is terrible.

  • K L Maracle

Wonderful little local bakery cafe. They make amazing chocolate croissants!! They have a large selection of pastries. They also do breakfast, and sandwiches. Very good cappuccino too.

  • Boulat Karataev

Yummy sourdough bread, great pastry, reliable espresso (although a little sour to my taste), good and friendly people, fast and welcoming service, all that at a very reasonable price

  • Marcelle Al Eid

My neighborhood bakery. Great bread and sandwiches .. coffee ok and good latte. I am crazy about their olives and rosemary bread ... Just amazing. Also try the turkey Swiss sandwich.

  • Rasif Iftessam

The best pastel de natas I have ever had. They offer a variety of amazing pastries, tarts, pies, sandwiches and a great selection of hot meal options. If you're in the area drop by.

  • chris connors

Decent prices for cafe pastries. $3 for a carrot cake and conole. The medium hot chocolate for $3 was smaller than expected. Quiet and casual. Next time I will try the custard tarts

  • Alison

Woman who served me was rude, no smile, gave me cake in a box, it was to eat in the Bakery not outside. Cake no tasty at all, same for the hot chocolate. Will not come back there.

  • addie ndllovuz

went there today i got red velvet and strawberry short cake. it was good but so dry . i don't know if its because it wasn't fresh or not made properly.the stuff are very nice too

  • Adrian Sabado

I’ve been getting lunch here for a while. Everything tastes like the dish from food court when they’re closing. 3 stars for the quantity, staff and really nice and clean place.

  • Aaron Sambey

Great breakfast at reasonable prices. I love that they often update their food! They try new bread recipes and styles as well as new pastries. Love their focaccia sandwiches.

  • Mustafa Akça

Great little Portuguese cafe and bakery. Amazing selection of sweets and bread, they are always fresh. Definitely on world-class Central European quality. Great prices. …

  • Lynn Dolson

Everything is good - bakery goods especially. not very professional at answering the phone. Wanted to buy something - but left empty handed -- no one could provide a price.

  • Joanna

I love this bakery. They have lots of varieties with good quality ingredients. I am addicted to their focaccia. The service is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

  • Leo monte

Fresh baked sweet bread open at 6am in the morning with tasty coffe and a place to sit in an out. At good prices. The place makes the whole look better and full of energy.

  • Rokzky Piazky

The order taker feels like she’s tired so I gave $5 tip for a $28.00 breakfast and still gave me a dirty fork so I said to myself maybe she is really tired today …
