I haven't been on the base for a very long time but I spent a few years growing up on RAAF Richmond in the 80s while my father was based there flying caribous (yes it was a long time ago) I only have fond memories of that place, we had everything a kid could want... tennis courts, cricket nets, squash courts, swimming pool, a cinema.. I was also a member of the RAAF Richmond Cubs group they had... I have always wanted to go back for a look but it is virtually impossible for a civillian these days...

Just saw the Today Show at the base...the interview with Loadmaster Laura Guest. I have to say she is the most stunning women I have ever seen in my life. Confident, intelligent and beautiful.

Lived here 50 years ago. This base was beautiful with lots of history. I still miss it today.
