Recently my dad (the policy owner) passed away. The trouble we have had trying to cancel his policy has been utterly ridiculous! Over the phone we were told to come into our local branch with his death certificate and we could easily cancel his policy and start a new policy in my mother's name. Simple enough, right? Not at all! My poor mother was told in branch that his death certificate wasn't enough! Nor was the fact she was his next of kin! Yet even being notified that the policy holder is DECEASED RACT continue to take monthly payment!
Needed a new battery and they delivered. I also had an annoying issue with a piece of metal that I had accidently disfigured from trying to change the headlight bulb in the dark. It wasn't the problem that I needed assistance with but David went out of his way to fix this issue for me too. What took me about two hours to fiddle with only took him about five minutes. David is a champ!
I was considering buying annual membership from ract, but my friend was told today that they can’t tow the car from brighton to glenorchy as it is different metropolitan area. Whats the point paying $20 a month if they can not help you when you are stranded 15 km from your home and they can not help due to some difference in locality. Highly disappointed today.
It was very good to update my lnsurance. The staff member i spoke with is very helpful . Iv been with RACT for many years and will be for many more.
