"NEVER GO TO THIS BRANCH!!!THE BANK TELLERS THERE ARE UNETHICAL AND DO THINGS WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT!!!!! If there was a -5 star rating this would be not enough to give this brach! I had the worst experience ever!!!! Just read my story guys this is insane and over the top"
"I went to the branch to get a bank draft and at the same time verify that they didn't make a mistake on my personal loan application and bi-weekly payments setup"
"The customer Service is amazing"
"I went to this branch because I am interested in a line of credit and the advisor AMY XING told me that I could not get one because I had to provide strong evidence that I want this line of credit, clearly this is a lie since I have many friends who have a line of credit and they didn't have to give proof of anything, also if you look on the RBC website and it says: a line of credit can be an ideal way to ensure that you have the funds available for unexpected or even daily expenses"
"Tried to open an account"
NEVER GO TO THIS BRANCH!!!THE BANK TELLERS THERE ARE UNETHICAL AND DO THINGS WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT!!!!! If there was a -5 star rating this would be not enough to give this brach! I had the worst experience ever!!!! Just read my story guys this is insane and over the top. So I visited this branch on Feb 6, 2019, I came in to get a money order. Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention what was the name of a bank teller that helped me out. She seemed nice and friendly and I didn't have any problems that day. HOWEVER, yesterday I received a letter from RBC saying my credit limit was increased which I didn't even know of. I'm freaking out and calling the customer service thinking I had an identity fraud or something and apparently that bank teller that was helping me out DID INCREASE MY CREDIT LIMIT WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!We didn't even discuss my credit card with her that day! I am so mad, this is so unethical! Why would you increase my limit if I'm not asking for it?!?Without my consent!!! I didn't want my credit limit to be increased, I'm comfortable with my current limit. How can I trust a bank with my money after this? Unfortunately, I'm out of town and I can't go to the branch and talk to the manager, but as soon as I'm back I will! This is so unprofessional.
I went to the branch to get a bank draft and at the same time verify that they didn't make a mistake on my personal loan application and bi-weekly payments setup. The teller repeatedly gave me a smirk remark even when I was calm. I told her to finish the bank draft first, and then I can explain the other issue afterwards. She was very unprofessional, until she realized it was RBC's mistake. She also told me I don't have any remaining bank drafts left from my Signature banking because I've used them all this year. To this, I've asked her politely, "I think that is a mistake. The last time I've used it was only last year, please check again". To this she replied, "Well it's going to take me a long time. It's November, I have to go all the way back to January (with a smirk)" I said, I need to know why your system says I've used 5 when I don't recall using any of it this year please. To the RBC managers reading this, if you can access the video feed from Nov 23, Thursday between 11:30 am to 1 pm you should see her poor performance. I thought she was disrespectful on the person before me, but turns out, she's disrespectful to everyone. Shame.
The customer Service is amazing. Anna Silva and Courtney Landry were so patient and understanding. Anna took her time and effort to help me with the issue I was having. She went above and beyond to understand my problem and help me in the best way possible. Above all, she was really polite and sweet to talk to. She also provided me extra information which I was not aware of. It shows that she cares about the customers.I feel completely satisfied with the service I received. She provides an excellent customer service! I also want to to mention another amazing staff named Courtney Landry. She was the one who assisted me when I opened my first account. She was really friendly and super helpful. She made sure that I understood everything properly and was very polite. She took her time to explain all the details which I am very grateful for. Overall, she is extremely good at what she does!
I went to this branch because I am interested in a line of credit and the advisor AMY XING told me that I could not get one because I had to provide strong evidence that I want this line of credit, clearly this is a lie since I have many friends who have a line of credit and they didn't have to give proof of anything, also if you look on the RBC website and it says: a line of credit can be an ideal way to ensure that you have the funds available for unexpected or even daily expenses. AMY XING is a rude, discriminatory and insensitive person because I am looking for this line of credit because my Dad has cancer and I need to help him, this lady gives a very bad image to this branch since I have never had a problem with them but this is already unpleasant.
Tried to open an account. It took four attempts and is still not open. First my husband went and was told he could open it without me. Then upon showing up to the appointment is told that I am required to be there. After we book a second appointment, we are told he doesn't need to be present. After I sign the necessary documents, two weeks later I receive a call saying that some "pages didn't print" and I need to sign them again. I receive the document electronically, but the advisor fails to send the code to access them. This is some serious lack of attention to detail. I also tried to purchase some investments and was told to call RBC to do that. Yes, I was told in person by an RBC advisor to go home and call RBC.
The staff here are so rude and for what the tellers here are so impatient, there’s only like one good lady but even she sometimes doesn’t even understand what you’re trying to say. The advisors are ok, Courtney was very nice and patient. I am a uni student but i’ve been with rbc since i was in Jr. High, I know how the bank works and i know the rules and laws. Every time I go to this specific branch the tellers always underestimate me and don’t even try to listen to my concerns or requests. Just because i’m a student doesn’t mean that i don’t know how the bank works, I know the rules and I know what i’m entitled to. I am not naive. Please fix your customer service. absolutely atrocious.
The teller I dealt with was friendly (only reason why I am not giving the location a 1 star) however I was not able to complete my banking request. The manager and teller claimed I had to take additional steps to complete a deposit. In addition, this is also a very busy location and has long wait times. The building itself looks unprofessional at the moment, although I’m not sure if they are in the middle of some remodelling. I went to another location and completed my deposit quickly and with no problem at all. I would strongly recommend not coming into this branch location. I know I will not be returning here.
This bank has been the best of the ones I use. They have extended hours, well lit ATM area for night use, very helpful phone service as well as tellers and great US/Canada banking. The only change I’d make is having to make an appointment to open a bank account. To the person below who had their credit card limit raised they would have sent you a letter too plus an electronic message if you do online banking. That’s how I found out. Anyway it takes one quick call or email to get your credit card limit decreased again. A bank offering you money is not a reason for a bad review!!
I would not even give 0 star to this branch and it's staff. My God!! worst Customer Service ever I've seen. The branch manager is worst of all. Booked an appointment by calling the 1 800 number and went to the branch 10 minutes before the appointment. Waited 40 minutes, and at 4:30 a branch member comes and tells us they will be closed and the Customer Service booked the appointment with the wrong person. So we need to rebook. I thought they were open till 5:00! What a ridiculous attitude the Manager showed when I have requested for the service!!
I am RBC clients from 17 years, today I booked appointment at Coventry Hills branch in Calgary and the manager Amy Xing was the rudest manager that I have seen in my life at Royal bank. She have asian accent and was unable to explain the difference between two accounts and I asked if I can talk to another person and she said we don't have one and when I asked for manager's number, she said I am a manager but her card doesn't say that she is a manager. Finally I got manager number, but she made me change my banking to another bank.
Extremely Rude staff........ Tried to get a cheque certified by a lady and was told in a very rude manner that I couldn't unless I was a client. Wasnt even nice about it. Gave me a rude look and shook her finger at me. I asked to talk to a manager but apparently he was in a meeting. I was then helped by someone else who gave me the option and actually took my cheque and cashed it for me for a $5 charge. Only to be stared at the whole time with a disgust look on their faces. NEVER coming back here again.
I am amazed at how bad a branch can get over the years I have been using this branch since I moved to the area in 2003 and have been with RBC since I was 10 years old in the last 10 years it has become so bad I have started banking else where but I first need them to fix there mistake that they made of 4 months ago have been told by them that it is going to be fixed and they still can do one thing right so drive the extra 15 mins and go to another branch or even better I another bank...
If I could give this branch 0 stars I would. Not only do they provide terrible customer service but they DO NOT stick to their word when they agree on a date for anything for that matter. Had issues with this branch numerous amount of times and they still screw up. I wouldn't recommend going to this branch at all, even if you have to drive 20 kms to go to another branch do it. It's better then dealing with their lack of customer service.
The tellers are personable but they are set up for failure by poor management of the branch’s business flow. The manager is either MIA or doesn’t care about the customer experience in the branch. A glance at the online reviews of this bank vs other banks shows it has one of the worst ratings in the city. In my view, there is zero care level from anybody at this branch to make any improvement therein.
Very poor customer service. Wait in line for 20 mins only to find out they cannot do the job. The Filipino lady and the Asian angent Billy kept chatting with the customers who they seem to personally know in their own languages about everything but banking. Please train your staff and teach them how to do their Job instead of keeping customers waiting for so long and eventually knowing what to do!
As a bank that should be there to provide service to their clients, this place is atrocious. Rude staff that lie to customers about their services. They hold thousands of my dollars, restrict access to them and tell me it's too bad for me. The Royal Bank makes money off of my hard earned money and treat me like garbage. Time to pull out of there and move on to a customer service based bank.
Whatever country these ppl are from, they need adequate training thats up to par with the standards and knowledge of Canadian banking. The staff here seem like they just got off the boat...just completely useless working at a bank. It's probably no picnic for them either when they aren't qualified to be in that position in the first place and customers are demanding them to do things
We've had troubles with moving accounts from out of province. The staff didn't know things I felt they should have and didn't handle things fabulously. However most of these problems seem to be systemic and based on an outdated view of regional banking by the institution itself. Haven't had any issues since, but we rarely use anything but automated tellers
Very unhelpful and lazy staff at this branch. I had a phone appointment recently that was completely useless in helping me to resolve my issue and was borderline insulting. Of course, this all just indicates the already obvious decline in RBC’s customer service. They hire just about anybody nowadays. I would recommend switching banks all together.
Most of the front desk are rude and they speak to you as you are there to beg them for money. One of them last week she was yelling on me and today another one she doesn’t want to help and every time wants me to go online. By the way the Manger and the second and the last desk employees ( last one near the Safety D box ) are relly nice.
Very poor customer service. The bank is full of Chinese New Year decorations, but when I said I wanted to withdraw some new money as luck money, They said no, it had to withdraw it randomly from the machine, but one piece of money out of the machine was broken, but the staff had new money to exchange. Very poor customer service!
I have been going to this branch for 8 years, few times a month. Never had any issue with the parking or the staff. Also, just had an urgent letter of reference request and it was on my home computer before I got back from the branch, even though they requested 5 business days to make it. That's an excellent service in my book!
Very good customer service at this location every time I have been there. The most accommodating, professional, proficient branch in Calgary. I have never encountered a bank that totally helps as well as understands their customers. The manager at this RBC branch is ABSOLUTELY the best ever, as well as Lili and Olusegun.
Very rude people at the front. They talk to you like you don't know anything about banking and its almost impossible to be helped because the tellers and employees behave like they are doing a favor on you. I am very disappointed with the branch and they surely need to imrove their customer service. AWFUL PEOPLE
Worst banking service ever, very poor customer service, very rude personal, the slowest brach I have ever ever been, specially the agent Winnifred Duque very rude and uneducated. Have waited 1 hour to have a proof of address. And at the end she was not able to help and had to leave.
The European lady in the front is rude and has no customer skills whatsoever you should not be working In a bank if you can’t bother to show some customer service I.E smile , mr, mrs , Apologies , thank you’s, etc , seemed a bit racist as well
Erika provided an exceptional experience during the process of opening my RBC Business Credit Card. Her expertise and professionalism were truly impressive. I highly recommend RBC, especially with Erika leading the way . She is truly amazing.
Wow..this is so far the worst RBC branch that I have ever been to. Tellers are very slow and rude, except one guy, who seems to care about the customers. If you are business don't think about going to this branch or you will regret it.
Stanley was very helpful with my application for a car loan. I would give him 5 stars. However, when we went to get the bank draft from the till, the woman there was quite rude and was openly arguing with him. Very unprofessional
I've been using this branch for well over a decade. Every adviser we've seen has been professional and helpful. Currently working with Adam who has been great. Whenever we've needed to use the tellers they are quick and helpful.
Always a long wait at this branch. They have reduced the number of tellers and they work at 25% of what should be considered normal speed. Banks make record profits while customers wait in line.
I would never come back to this branch. Employees are rude. They think the public work for them and not the other way away. Bad attitude (verni). Poor customer service
Verni is one rude employee. She tells you things to brush you off. Doesn't want to put any effort in helping her customers. I wish I could give her 0 star.
Slowest service i have ever seen at a bank. Surprises me how laid back the staff is. Do yourself a favour and don't make this your home branch.
I go here for convenience but Lily is the best employee I have ever delt with. I will continue to go here just because of her! 5 stars!
Would give a 0 if zero was an option. 0 seems fair for getting 0 service. 10 people in line one person working. Choose another bank
What a terrible bank Customer service was horrible Has to wait for the tellers to finish gossiping and texting to get server
No respect for their client, call many times and left messages to address an issue regarding my account but no response.
Very Rude trying to open an account for my kids I'll go some other bank that treats there customers with respect
Very unprofessional staff send incomplete voice message for appointment then harass you
