I booked the car in for a service in a Saturday morning. When I went to pick the car up at 12.45 they asked if I would like the car washed. As it was included in the price I paid I said yes. They sprayed the car with a high pressure hose but left the wheels dirty. I got in the car an noticed that they didn’t vacuum the car which was also in the quote. I drove towards home when the car lost power at 60kmh and started blowing a lot of smoke. I rang them straight away and they said to bring it back. When I arrived they had the car for 10 mins and said everything was fine. I again drive the car away and again it was blowing smoke. I bought the car back and took the mechanic for a drive. It blew smoke straight away so I left the car there as I had somewhere to be. I got a text message at 10.20pm asking to keep the car until Monday which was not an option as I needed to get to work. He messaged me to say he will let me know when I could pick it up on Sunday. I tried to call and message on Sunday with no response. I called the head office and they defended the store stating how experienced the owner was and he would take care of the car. I was sick of waiting so I went down to the mechanics and the apprentice was there and he got my car out but he had no idea what was wrong with it. He said the owner would call me but I’m still waiting for that. My issue is not that something went wrong but how they handled the situation when it did. The lack of communication is annoying and it doesn’t give the impression that they know what they are doing. It’s actually quite rude. If the owner had kept me informed as to what the issue is and how he was fixing it that would had turned me into a promoter of this business instead of a detractor. I won’t be going with them again

As a previous reviewer wrote, do not use these people unless you wish to part with extra cash you don't have. We tried their Service package whereby you purchase a card offering three free services and some associated discounts for up to three vehicles. What an absolute joke. Tried once, extras as always to be done seemed a bit costly. We then thought we would try one more time and booked for a service and a radiator issue, which two prior mechanics had quoted on and prices were very similar, so we were thinking it would be around the same. Wrong!!! They kept the car for days with different excuses each day and charged ridiculously more in labour plus more for a part that in other opinions did not require replacement. Bottom Line - We WERE HAD!!! Never again and would never recommend them!

WARNING WARNING WARNING!!! Firstly be very careful of reviewers for this company that have only 1 or 2 reviews, and appear to be written by family and friends. Straight up use this mob to your own detriment. In a space of a few hours I caught these people out on multiple lies. Their workmanship is terrible in my experience, that's for the most basic of work too. Don't expect them to fix it either, once they have taken your money, you are on your own at. Also having worked on my own vehicles and knowing the price of certain parts and labour costs, GET A SECOND OPINION for you own sake. This place would be in my top 5 worst businesses I've ever had the heartache of dealing with, that is saying something.

This is honestly the best mechanic I've ever been too. They often work with you on prices if they can and do amazing work every time. If your timing belt needs doing they will check your water pump at the same time.. Wish Kmart Tyre and Auto did that instead of making me do both separately. They offer Certegy/Humm and still do great prices under these programs. Any time something needs doing on any of my family members cars, we just say "book it in with Daniel" The whole team is amazing, friendly and efficient. They let you know what is and isn't essential (meaning you're not spending extra money when it's not necessary yet) Much love for this place <3

We were approached in a car park with a deal card that you could purchase for so many services, etc. We took them up on the offer as we had just moved into the area and we didn't know a local mechanic. They allowed us to use the deal with their Mitcham shop (as it was convenient for us) and eventually we moved to the Kilsyth shop. We've had good experiences with both. We usually have to get more than just the service done and that has been explained to us. The pricing is okay but the end result is that we haven't had any issues with our car. Friendly staff and good customer service. They even go out of their way to pick us up from home/work as needed.

I get my car serviced regularly at Rapid Tune in Kilsyth. I always find that they offer a keenly priced and professional service. During the recent storms, my car had a flat battery at work (nearby Rapid Tune in Kilsyth), leaving me stranded and no chance of getting RACV or similar service with all that was going on. I gave Rapid Tune a quick call to see if they could help and the owner was with me in minutes - getting me out of a messy situation. Two things to say about this: first and foremost, this is what decent people do, and secondly, a savvy business person because he has an extremely satisfied customer!

Absolute rip off! They may be thorough but that’s most likely because they’re making people pay for things that don’t need fixing. Car needed a roadworthy for a simple transfer of names between family.. they made us bring the car back 3 times over the span of 3 weeks each time telling us something new needed to be replaced. Had enough so took it to highly reputable auto shop.. roadworthy done same day nothing more needed. AND the roadworthy was $100 cheaper than what rapid tune had quoted.

I have always had positive experiences at Rapid Tune, Kilsyth. They have been very generous with their blue vouchers and have regularly offered me more vouchers. In my most recent experience, they worked tirelessly to solve an unusual issue and kept in contact with me via telephone and when it suited me, via email. My car is now running as good as new. They have always offered to drive me home and bring me back when my car has been finished. Would definitely recommend.

Jess was very helpful. I was dropped home after leaving my car with them, I was picked up when my car was ready, I was given a 10% discount on the total cost, given a free scented tree for my car and my car was cleaned, inside and out. All of that on top of an excellent service on my car at a fair price. I don’t think there is much more you could possibly hope for. Excellent service and highly recommend! Thanks guys. - Jay

Will never ever take my car here ever again!! Such a rip off, gave them one last shot after my last service where they stated they changed the brake pads only to discover a week later they were completely ruined, and my partner had to change them. Ohh and please don't lie to your customers saying you have done a complimentary wash and vacuum, you have done to me twice now. Well, no more, i will happily pay else where!!

Needed quite a few things done due to not servicing my car during covid... The staff were amazing found an issue that was quite difficult to determine fixed it up and my car is now like brand new for me running like a dream!! Bree even came to help start my friends car when it broke down after dropping me off and spoke to the mechanic who had supposedly fixed her car above and beyond thanks Bree

Absolutely disappointed after being quoted $3.5k for a roady I decided to wait till I could afford to pay. But then I decided to take it into the currum store instead where I was only quote $650 with a service included! I’m astonished that everything that you listed wasn’t even mentioned in their roady or upon general service. Please avoid trusting them with your next roady

Initially I thought this shop is good - nice service, not overpriced, courtesy car, efficient. When I got my car back another day it starts blowing smoke a lot. Called back the staff said it would last for a few days maybe weeks. After a few months it's still happening. Not sure if I can blame them but it's definitely something after their work.

Really can't rate these guys highly enough. Extraordinarily friendly staff; unbelievably patient while my car sat there for like a month after it turned out the fix would be more extensive than I thought and I tried to work out a way to pay for it. Definitely bringing it back to the same shop when I'm ready to actually get the thing fixed.

I found this company very competent. During a regular car service they identified several potential problems and asked if I wanted them rectified. They were able to complete the service and repairs within the day. I was very happy with the communication from the office, and will use the company again.

Provide a great service and very flexible with providing customers with a lift to and from their place of work. A lot of other service providers would not go to the length they do in proving transportation to and from my work place in croydon. They also provide excellent service in servicing my car.

We get both of our cars serviced at Rapid Tune Kilsyth and recently had a major issue with our 4wd sorted out as well. The boys went above and beyond to get the issue sorted with as minimal a cost and time as possible. They have great communication and explain things in terms I understand.

I have been taking my vehicles to Rapid Tune Kilsyth for a number of years. They have helped me with all my servicing need and when I require a roadworthy on a vehicle.They do a great job and I recommend them not just on the mechanical side but also their customer service is very good too.

Wouldn't go there changed the right side pretensioner which was not the faulty side with a used one that had been deployed in a accident. The left side was the one at fault not veey good diagnostics if you don't know what side it is and pretty obvious when a pretensioner has deployed.

Had my engine light come on when I was driving home from work and gave Rapid Tune a call the next morning. They managed to squeeze in a check on my engine light and also repaired the fix in the same day! Had my car back by 3pm ready for work the next day. Absolutely amazing service!

They were recommended to me from a friend and I was a bit hesitant at first as I had been seeing a regular mechanic for the last 8 years. But for someone so young he has an amazing old fashion customer service mentality. They have won me over to always service my 2 vehicles

Over-quoted $900 for a job i paid $38.50 to fix elsewhere. I also got sucked into their blue card service scheme. I think they try rip off the people who get sucked into these schemes as they think people feel they are getting a good deal. pffffft boy were we wrong there!

These guys service our vehicle fleet and have never led us astray. Always on time, always within the quote and communication is excellent. Have about 15 vehicles serviced by them and have recommended many others all of whom have been very happy.

The guys are great, they tell u exactly what's wrong with your car, how much its going to cost, and they have a loan car available if needed but like all mechanics you need to let them know in advance.
