Last fall we bought a home, and sold two family homes. One Mississauga household booked Rawlinson Moving & Storage, and the other booked another company. My parent's belongings were packed up professionally, courteously and put into storage with Rawlinson Moving & Storage until our move-in date. As we were down to the wire late in November and called to confirm our move-out details and delivery to the new home with the "other" company, things fell apart ... fast. Now they can't deliver our goods in a reasonable timeframe. You hear about these stories ... not sure if they're really true ... we had the sense that this was going to be one of those stories in real life. So we called Jim at Rawlinson Moving & Storage, explained our dilemma and he came to our rescue ... able to move all our belongings onto a truck, and the delivery would also include belongings from my parents home ... on the day after we took possession of our new home ... it was like magic ... prayers were answered. We don't know what we would have done without the absolute tremendous help from Jim Carney and his teams ... move of belongings from two homes and delivery to the new home for both couples. The men were terrific - courteous, quick, funny and kept things moving the whole time. And our move-in day included a snow storm! They handled everything so well. It was a long day for everyone, and the men still had to drive home that evening. We were truly impressed with this service and recommend Rawlinson Moving & Storage to everyone. Hands down. I've used this company 4 times for moving, but never again!!! The quality has gone down the drain. I hired them to pack as well as move from one city to another. They used to send one dedicated person to do the packing. Now the moving crew is tasked with that job -- a job way beyond their skillset. Instead of one packer taking one day, you've got 4 guys wandering around the house, packing some stuff then taking it to the truck, then coming back and packing more. As a result, I couldn't keep track of anything, and the truck got filled with small things first. When we got to my storage locker -- oops! there wasn't room for any of it. I had to pay for another month of storage, and make another trip back to finish the move the following week. Three days of total disruption for what used to be handled efficiently and professionally. As for the packing itself, it was a mess. TV's in one box, power cord in some other random box and I still haven't found where they hid the remotes so I've had to buy new. Numerous instances of carefully wrapping things that didn't really need it, like cans of food, but putting fragiles loose, like a glass vase in with the Playstation. I even had to tell them to wrap the furniture before taking it out to the truck. Granted, the moving crew is muscle, not finesse, so I blame the company for expecting them to do something they're not really capable of doing. I had expressed reservations when they told me this would be how it was done. They assured me it would be fine. It was NOT fine. Avoid this company!!!

Recently, I had the pleasure of dealing with Rawlinson Moving and Storage for my daughter's move From Toronto to Halifax. It started with Cindy who had a way of easing my concerns and she made it easy to make my decision on which moving company to go with. She then passed me to our wonderful move coordinator Karin, who was perfect for this job. She was my go to person for this. The team of Calvin and Matt, both funny and very efficient in Toronto. Brian did the trip and delivery with his team out East. All of them very professional and all extremely nice to deal with, especially during these trying times of pandemic. This was the best moving experience I've had with professional movers. It was a stress free day for pick up and at the other end we had two of my daughter's friends proxy for her since they lived in Halifax already and did not have to quarantine, so they received the belongings from Brian and they stated he was friendly and really nice to deal with. He was even able to deliver on the first day of the delivery time window. I would highly Recommend Rawlinson for anyone considering a professional moving company for their move. I moved with Rawlinson from Nova Scotia to Ontario in 2022, although I am using a nickname for this review. Pay close attention to the transfer charge that ostensibly covers the costs of moving your items from a large, shared tractor trailer to a smaller truck due to space restrictions, especially when the large truck arrives at your old and new home for pick -up and drop-off, despite the charge. This is an unprofessional and incompetent family-owned small business with poor customer service and exorbitant charges that the company refuses to trace back to your specific moving process because they are unable to. I plan on reporting unnecessary costs to Allied, and I suggest anyone who is overcharged do the same. I recommend Munden’s Moving as an affordable, trustworthy small business that deserves support, rather than Rawlinson. Munden’s offers cross country moving services!

Amazing team!!! We have moved from Toronto to Ottawa a few days ago. We did a lot of research on moving companies before selecting Rawlinson and they were just awesome. From the consultation to the coordination through to the actual move, they were Just flawless. We called our coordinator (Karin) several times before the move as we had many questions and every time she tried her best to answer all of our questions. The moving crew were meticulous and did not waste any time. Each piece of furniture and other items were individually wrapped. They also dismantled and reassembled all items efficiently. The delivery was done with great care too making sure they ask us where each box or furniture would go to make it easier for us. Honestly I would have given more stars if I could. I’m happy and relieved! Would recommend without any hesitation!

My husband and I were headed home, we live downtown Toronto. There was a Rawlinson Storage and moving truck blocking the entrance to our parking garage. We politely asked them if they could move their truck so we could get home. The two workers were incredibly rude. They refused to move the truck. We were stuck with our 10 month old baby. They weren’t listening to the security guard from the building they were servicing. They told us to call the cops on them which we had ended up having to do. They were being very careless with the material they were carrying. They caused a huge scene. Don’t hire this moving company if you’re trying to have a stress-free move! Who doesn’t move a truck so a mother and her 10 month old son can get home…..

Yesterday a crew of 3 led by Christopher wrapped, packed, taped, boxed and labelled items to be shipped from Ontario to The Netherlands. They worked steadily, carefully and finally had all items loaded into their truck to start the journey from here, to the port in Montreal, across the ocean to Amsterdam and then to its final home. We were SUPER impressed with the way it has all been handled. I recommend this company. Well done. I do have photos of how everything was wrapped. They handled the items as if they were their personal things. Kudos to the team!

The truck arrived promptly at 9.30 as arranged and was at the delivery destination at the stated time thus honouring arrangement with elevators at both ends. This was greatly appreciated by those concerned.. The crew on the truck handled our possessions with care and sensitivity. They were courteous, attentive to our presence and need. They worked very well as a team. We hired Rawlinson for our move from Newmarket to Kitchener in December. We had a great experience. The team of movers was excellent- very friendly, positive and professional. They took great care packing our furniture and there was no damage to any of our belongings.
