I sold 2 houses in May 2023 in Brisbane, one with Plum Property and one with Ray White Bridgeman Downs. The experience with Plum Property was exceptional…accurate appraisal, absolutely went above and beyond to get the job done and with a very reasonable commission percentage. By comparison the property appraisal value by Sonia Treloar ($1.9m) was miles out from the actual price achieved ($1.6m) and the commission was significantly higher. Of course an agent cannot control the market price but the agent should know their market. Either we were intentionally given the wrong information to encourage us to select them as our agent or they were lacking knowledge of the market and buyers. Either way it was poor. Sonia Treloar will no doubt comment on this post to stress how hard she worked to get the price up from the initial offer, but had we known the price we were likely to achieve we would not have even sold our house let alone put an offer on a property that needed extensive renovations. This put us in a terrible position. I could go on about how she also made me think we needed to pay extra money for bond cleaners (not necessary), or how she told us that we couldn’t change the contract to keep our dishwasher even though we hadn’t signed it yet, or how she hounded us on the morning of settlement to do a pre-sale inspection when we were frantically packing. She also pretended she was in a meeting on the day of settlement so she didn’t have to talk to me when it was urgent (she accidentally sent a text to me intended for her assistant). I’m sure she will argue blind that this was not the case, but you know how someone behaves when they have been caught out. That part at least provided some comedic relief. Anyway, I wasn’t going to write this review as I wanted to forget about the whole experience which was stressful, but I didn’t want other people to be in the same boat we were. Sellers beware. There are some fantastic agents out there. This is not one of them.

From start to finish, our experience with Sonya and the team at Ray White Bridgeman Downs has been nothing short of incredible. Having met Mitch first at an open home and his welcoming nature we discussed what kind of property we are searching for and straight away he mentioned that he had a few in mind for us, which in this current market is hard to come by. What stood out the most for me is if at any time I had a question big or small, I didn’t feel scared to call Sonya as she was always there to help (no assistant or associate on her behalf) from assisting to buying our property and even helping me with questions and advice I had when we were trying to sell our current property with another real estate, she always had time for us as she is lovely and incredibly passionate in what she does. I couldn’t recommend Sonya’s team at Ray White Bridgeman Downs enough, we definitely will only be using these guys in the future!

Amazing! I wish I had appointed her sooner I had a terrible experience with another agency the year before I decided to appoint Sonya as my real estate Agent. So how do you go about selling your most expensive possessions that holds your most precious memories? Get a professional team and listen to them. Are all real-estate agents professional? Unfortunately , in my experience , they are definitely not. If you engage Sonya and her team, be prepared to be part of a professional team. We have both bought and sold through Sonya's team. If you are a buyer be prepared to be followed up. Your feedback is taken on board and passed on to the Seller. You will be treated with friendliness and respect. As a seller. Be prepared to be taken under the Sonya Trelor's team's wing and listen to the professionals, as they advise you. The marketing of your property is a well-oiled campaign. From the lovely gents who turn up half an hour before every Open House to "present" the property (and I don't even know who put all that stuff back into the vans afterwards).There is prompt and transparent invoices and receipts sent from the professional office admin. Then, of course, there is the hard work of Sonya and her sales team. Expect phone calls, emails seven days a week. They have endless energy and they focus it solely on your sale. So if you are a buyer know you will be treated fairly and with respect. If you are a Seller... get some sleep and listen to the advice. Be prepared to 'let go' and leave it in the hands of the professionals. You wont be sorry.

I recently purchased a high-end market house through Sonia, and I must say that my experience as a buyer was highly disappointing. While it seems she was effective in catering to the seller's needs. Initially, Sonia enticed me to attend an auction by claiming that the seller was desperate to sell the house. However, the seller wan't in rush at all. Once the paperwork was signed, the communication from Sonia's end was practically non-existent. Calls and emails went unanswered, leaving me feeling ignored and undervalued as a client. I was only allowed to inspect the house only once before having the keys and prevented me from showing the house to my builder for renovation purposes. Same thing happened when I asked for building plan frequent times. Although I understand that the seller may have had restrictions, I believe that Sonia could have done more to facilitate the process and address my concerns.

Be honestly this branch just try to rip the vendor off, I asked around none of other agency will charge approx. $4k for marketing cost consider the photos taken are quite average. What my experience with them/Jilian Baker briefly is: give you a higher price appraisal to sign the listing, then persuaded the vendor to choose the most costy marketing campaign and auction, then vendor already spent a lot of money so they can keep pushing vendor to accept a low-price offer if vendor refuse to accept it, they just immediately change the attitude and reluctant to continue sell your property.
