I sent a request for a plumber when my water bill was $300 over normal and city said I had a leak. Very quickly the owner Ahmand responded and with what looked like legit reviews we were off. I was sure it had to do with a tree by main water line causing the problem. I was told no that it was a slab leak. Within 4 hrs Ahm Wayne from leak detect was here. Ahm had let me know that this was his subcontractor and I should pay him $250 and Ahm would take it off the bill, after the "leak" detected, Ahm says Oh its $295. Ok, Wayne walks into entryway and front bedroom, nowhere else. Puts blue tape for X marks the spot to dig this "emergency" the one that could have burst and flooded my home at any min. Ahm says to turn the main water off before bed. So his worker shows up in time, has to cut my new carpet to pull it back and proceeds to jackhammer down approx 5' × 6' across. Yep, I walk out to find there was no leak. Myself and two teens, 3 cats 1 dog and 2 turtles w/o h2o for 8 1/2 hrs. So now its 12:45 wayne shows back up. Walks around and when I ask he wants to know if I have a sprinkler system in the backyard. I show him my capped off system . Ahm calls to see of Waynes here. No Ahm he's not but he gave me $100 back. ( all my payments were in cash). Ahmand RH plumb says to me that wayne needs to give hime casb back as RHP last money on thus job. So Ahm shows up, says to me that the leak is on the side if my house. Ok, he says he will keep the $ the same $1k to him. So close to the end uhrs past. Worker left for 2hrs shows up and I go to look at the job. I kid you not, it was an old galvanized pipe rusted and leaking with a visual inspection on sight. I was shocked as a disabled sr citizen I am not as able to walk through my very messy yard. Had anyone asked me or told me what it was I would have said cap it as it goes nowhere with my capped sprinkler. So Im looking at the unnecessary whole and RH plumbing still wants $1k. He used and knicked my brand new construction extension cord. Did no clean up. Did not follow any type of Covid precautions my home was wide open for 9 hrs. I only approved one contract which was online. I have my cellphone to try and review. I gave him $450 cash and he gave me $25. back for ext cord. I asked him twice for his Co covid guidelines. Final response on second message. Do not contact his company as its harrassment.

I awoke to a water leak on a Saturday morning. I made many calls to plumbers looking for a same-day service; many were listed all over the internet but none wanted to come for such a minor service, they all wanted to sell me a whole bunch of other services. Finally I got in touch with Red Hat (a real person answered, didn't have to leave a message like most of the others), it was 10:45 am, the gentleman told me someone would be here between 11 am and 1 pm. I didn't believe that at the time. I'm in Ventura, and darn if a fine young man named Carlos showed up before noon, nice clean clothes, well-groomed young man, polite, well-spoken, asked good questions about the extent of the service I wanted for the day. He got to work, I had other things to do in the house, by the time he was done (found my leak, re-soldered the pipes and left them in a better configuration than what he found), an hour had passed. Holy smokes, it was the most beautiful solder work on copper pipes I had ever seen. He knew what I wanted, what would work the best for me, better than I did. I was SOOOOOOO impressed with the gentleman Jose I spoke with in dispatch, and with Carlos work. So much so I introduced Carlos to a neighbor who came to visit, make sure the neighbor knew to call Red Hat when he needed service. Carlos and Red Hat took me from an extremely frustrating situation in the morning, to solving all my problems by early afternoon. Extremely professional folks, top to bottom. I was and remain very grateful for the quality and responsiveness of service.

On a Thursday morning, we had an emergency...a water leak under our house slab. Red Hat, unlike other major plumbers in our area, said they would come immediately and they did so. We arranged to have a full house above ground repiping, a major job, rather than simply trying to find and repair a leak under the slab . The pricing was reasonable for the large amount of complex work involved and they started working on the leak immediately. The repiping team arrived the next day and worked very long hours, including a Saturday...they would have worked on Sunday also but they were not able to do so because of prior plans. On the following Monday, they arrived early and worked until 7PM so that we could have hot water in part of the house before they left. On Tues, they finished repiping the entire house. They rarely took breaks, worked constantly, were friendly and informative and did an amazingly complicated job as quickly as they possibly could. They left the job as clean as they could given the amount of drywall dust that was generated. Although there is a considerable amount of drywall repair necessary (this is not included in their work) and we have to put away a lot of personal belongings that had to be moved, I have no hesitation recommending Red Hat for any plumbing job you may have. Needed to replace some pipes in my garage and into my house. First off, very nice people from my interactions. Secondly, they were priced fairly well to start. Then when I needed to make a small change to what I wanted to do after the initial estimate, they didn't take it as an opportunity to jack up the price. They adjusted it by a fair amount and we moved forward. Very fair from that perspective. Then we had a complication towards the end of the work. They had finished the work and everything was "working" but they didn't do two things in exactly the way that I wanted it to be done. They responded very well to my questions and feedback and said that they would come back the next day to look into those two items. I still ended up paying them the full amount that day. With others I have been screwed when I have paid a full amount and there was still something that I still needed to get done. I was a little nervous after I had done so in this case but there was no need to fear. They showed up bright and early the next day and resolved those two items right away. So, they were fair, responsible, fast, and great to work with. Great job!

My submitted request for an estimate was answered almost immediately and it was a Sunday. Appointment was scheduled for 11 on Monday. Johnny L, the technician was right on time. Johnny looked at all 3 projects I had in mind and worked up an estimate. I asked to replace garbage disposal, replace kitchen faucet and move angle stop behind the new refrigerator so it could move closer to wall. He said if I wanted the work done that day he would run and pick up materials. He did that and was back in a timely manner. The house is an older place and is a vacation home so we are not here full time. The faucet and garbage disposal were older and stubborn due to non use. That's when Johnny's fun began. Every project had an issue that was frustrating and time consuming. Johnny was very professional, respectful and patient. I know he was here much longer than he or his company expected. But all was accomplished and cleaned up to perfection. I will definitely use Red Hat again. (If they'll come back...lol) The next projects will most likely be a new water heater and new toilets in the upstairs bathrooms.

We’ve had a hard time getting all type of contractors to show up and if they do show, a hard time getting honest work and honest prices. My son found this company and based on reviews, we went ahead and called. And although we were told it would be a free estimate and diagnosis, he found that our air switch for the garbage disposal had shorted out. And that our previous plumber that had installed the garbage disposal, and our house inspector, never saw the electrical box that it’s connected to is not a GFCI outlet. This is the most basic code that anyone should know and understand. So grateful that Red Hat Plumbing caught this dangerous fire/electrical hazard. And their minimal charge to assess the issue, even though we weren’t expecting it, was worth it and I would definitely call them again for our next problem. Honest people and honest company.

Truly shocked at what a GREAT experience I had! The only reason I say that is because of the reputation many plumbing companies have. This is definitely NOT the case here. Red Hat was awesome and their price was better than any of the other companies I called and I called several. Everybody I dealt with was professional and nice. And in a very classy move the owner himself came out to double check the work and made sure I was happy. I’ve never heard of a plumbing company doing that. The owner even informed me about a rebate with SoCal water/gas I had no idea about! 100 percent recommend!!! You will thank me! P.S. The work I had done: I had them install a new tankless water heater, connect pipes from a downstairs bathroom to the room above to turn into a powder room. They knocked it out in 2 days.

Ed was AMAZING! Red Hat was a great experience from beginning to the end. First of all, so responsive and polite on my first call. Second, AVAILABLE: every other plumber I called had a minimum 2 week waitlist, Red Hat came out first thing the next morning (mine was a non-emergency). Third, received immediate text confirmation of my appointment and then text alerts when my technician was due to arrive. Fourth, ED: what a lovely person and excellent technician Ed is. Everything I was told "couldn't" be done, Ed did, in no time, and with a great attitude. And, at a reasonable price--no nickel and diming--job/parts/labor etc. in one reasonable flat fee. And now, less than an hour later, job complete! I couldn't be happier. So impressed with this company.

Several plumbing companies I called brushed me off and had no sense of urgency. But when I called Red Hat, Rosa was able to find me a technician that could come out that day! When technician Ahmad showed up he was very professional. He explained the pros and cons of what could happen and what he might find. So I knew in advance how costs could escalade and I would not be caught off guard. There ended up being minor problems but all and all my kitchen sink clog was cleared fairly quickly with no major issues. And the cost was pretty close to the initial estimate given by Rosa over the phone. This was a complete home repipe, tankless water heater install, shower valve replacements and toilet install. The Red Hat team was onsite for several days and cleaned up at the conclusion of each day’s work. They scheduled and performed work in a manner that ensured we had water service nearly the entire time. Throughout the process Ahmad would follow up with a daily call or text to ensure work was proceeding as planned. He checked in two more times after work was completed to make sure all plumbing repairs were functioning satisfactorily. Ahmad ,from the new management team called regarding my unfavorable review ,and was sincerely concerned about my plight and convinced me that Red Hat warrants another shot . Red hat quickly replied to my request and the technician was good ,and did the repair. However he didn't have the piece needed to fix the problem and had to go and get the part ,and I was charged for the time while he was away and never saw a printed bill for his service. Several calls to Red Hat and talking to either the owner or foreman never the problem solved. I had a $400.00+ bill and have no idea what was done and had no breakdown on the services preformed. If you have nothing to hide you show a fully itemized bill.

I called Ahmad to fix a leak with the main water line out side and he came out right away and gave me a very reasonable quote and started work right away. He and his worker were very nice and professional made a long day not so bad. He explained everything he was going to do so there were no surprises during the process. He was very up front and I truly appreciated that. They had to dig a long trench in my front yard and when they were done you couldn’t even tell they were here. It was an evening call so I knew I was going to get hit a little more but given the water leak, it could not wait and that got absorbed into the overall cost which was very reasonable. Alex worked at my house and he was very thorough in explaining everything that needed to be done and gave a fair and honest assessment of the extensive work that was needed. Needed a plumber to do an emergency sewer scope after my scheduled appointment with a different company never showed. They performed major septic repair service for our office building in Woodland Hills, including the installation of the Pirana system. I needed my kitchen faucet and garbage disposal replaced due to leaking problems. The valve for the water shut off needed to be replaced also due to rust. After being quoted $2k by Dutton plumbing I decided to buy the material myself and call another plumber. Red hat showed up on time the next day (Dutton no showed me twice) made all the nessesary repairs and charged around 1/4 what Dutton wanted for the same job. If you want good quality work at a reasonable price, go with Red Hat.

Called Red Hat due to concerns about the possibility of high water pressure and a humming noise that was occurring when the water was turned on. They were very polite on the phone and sent one of their guys that was at a nearby job. He arrived quickly and was attentive and polite. He checked the pressure and made necessary changes. He also checked the inside faucets one at a time to make sure there were no further issues. I am quite happy and would call them again.

Jeff was a great installer. The only reason why I did not give 5 star is because it took over a week to get the tankless water heater to work correctly. Should of been figured out from the start. Also, it took almost 2 weeks to get a final invoice after asking for it many times. At the end it got all worked out but stressful waiting for the invoice and hot water.

We made an appointment, a plumber came by, but spoke limited english and did not know how to install the plumbing we had requested, really a waste of everyone's time and services, we did appreciate their office staff being polite and offering free estimates, however as a result, we had to call another plumber and they came by and got the job done.

Redhat Plumbing previously installed a hot water heater for me. So I didn't hesitate to call them again to install a garbage disposal, fix a leaking pipe, and correct some issues with my dishwasher. Our garbage disposal broke suddenly and I called Red Hat at 7:00 pm. They tried to talk us through fixing it ourselves but we did need a new one.
