"TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I have not been to the theater since before the pandemic"
I have been going here for many years and it has drastically changed during covid. To start off, it has always been a clean, neat place. The theater experience is fine, with no issues watching the movie. The problem is the check-in lines. I get it that they are shorter staffed because it is not as popular as other movie theaters. They removed the ticket sale booth and moved everything inside into 1 or 2 lines. This means now if you just want to buy tickets and go watch the movie, you have wait in line with the people buying a bunch of snacks as well. It is fine if it is not busy, but if it starts to get backed up, you have to wait a really long time. One time the line was almost out the door because of that. It is annoying, but it is not that big of an issue, you may just have to pick the next movie time. The bright side is that they do have someone checking tickets at the door during popular days like opening movie nights. My suggestion would be always having an option to scan online tickets or an area just to purchase them and get going. Overall the rest of the experience is fine and I'll continue visiting this Regal. It seems that a lot less people go to this Theater than how it was before covid, but I am glad that it at least still survived as a business.
I just moved to Jacksonville and this is easily one of the worst theaters I've been to in almost a decade. I don't know how it got a 4.2 rating!!! I suppose folks around here don't know what they're missing. It's outdated and in need of an update. The only good thing I can say is they offer a military discount but in all honesty I'd easily pay regular price to go to a more adequate theater. The seats here were small and very uncomfortable. They do not recline and the theater was hot....literally hot! This is the first time I've ever been to the movies and they didn't have the air on. Super weird. This made our viewing very uncomfortable. It also didn't smell the best in there either. Not that the establishment could help this but...our theater had large amounts of teens in it yelling out and throwing hard candy at other movie goers. Candy corn was hitting people throughout the movie. Management came in but didn't remove a soul. This was very disappointing. I DO NOT recommend this place at all.
Wasn't the dirtiest theater we've been in but it was close; but based on other reviews maybe Spider-Man opening week was a bad week for them and they didn't have time to clean out any of the trash or popcorn littering almost every aisle. However that's what we got, trash and popcorn everywhere. The seats are standard, not the reclining ones most theaters have upgraded to. Auditorium 6's screen was really shaded and dark. It was weird because you could tell that some images were meant to be really colorful and pop but, due to the dim projector, they were muted. All of this is interesting because the prices are the same as theaters that upgraded both their seats and their screens. Food is as over priced as normal, so no surprise there. All in all, not a bad experience but not an enjoyable one (movie was great though). We'll drive the extra 8 minutes to AMC instead next time.
The theatre is nice and clean but it was odd that we got there after rebuying tickets that I paid for online and finding out that there are no ticket takers and my family and I could have just walked right in. As far as the ticket buying the website is trash it took me forever to get it to work right to show me show times and seat availability and then when I finally went to check out there was an timeout error but my card was still charged. I showed up at the theater and swiped my card at the kiosk but there was no record of the order I was charged for. I bought new tickets and immediately went to the contact us and sent an email since they won't let you talk to a representative and still haven't been contacted or gotten my money back after 4 days now.
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I have not been to the theater since before the pandemic. February of 2020. I was very excited for the whole movie experience and boy was I disappointed. We got to the theater 20 minutes early and it's a good thing we did because we had to wait 30 MINUTES in the concession line to get our tickets because there was not anyone working the ticket booth, the machine was out of order and only 2 people working the entire concession stand. VERY FRUSTRATING. Then we are able to get into the movie in the middle of the previews, one of my favorite parts of the experience and the projector was out of focus and WAY dark. It was vary difficult to watch the movie. I left after about 30 minutes in. I do not recommend trying this place out!
Spacious, empty, clean, did I mention there was no one there. There were likey more employees than guests. Theater was clean, seats were comfy, shows were recent. Did I mention I was one of two people to watch Black Widow, the place was empty. Employees are friendly, they had time to tell me which movies guests rated as poor to great. Parking was easy and convenient. There were about 20 maybe 30 cars in front of the building. I wonder how many were employees? Hmmm. Did I mention I saw only 5 maybe 7 people there? All were in 20's and hoping between theaters viewing most of the shows. Once I paid for Black Widow and left the counter. Except for the 5 to 7 people I saw one time. The remainder of the time there was no one else.
This theater is the one closest to our home by far. With that said, we still consistently drive all the way to Tinseltown or AMC Orange Park because the theaters are truly that much better. Whereas most theaters in town have reserve seating with the comfy recliners, this theater implemented reserve seating but with the not so comfortable traditional theater seats. I received an annual unlimited movie subscription for here for this year and we still choose the other theaters even with unlimited free ones here. I guess that should be all you need to know, but I will say that the staff always seem friendly, the theater is kept clean and you usually don't have to worry about any crowds here.
I decided to revisit this place after being told they were understaffed my first visit. Unfortunately, it was an even worse experience. The Unlimited display was nice and the greeter was friendly but, many of the bathroom stalls were filthy and the seat I reserved for Thor A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME had cheese spilled on it. When I attempted to swap out my tickets, I was told no because I showed up late. (I showed up early, the line was just very long) They refused to get a manager and told me to just sit somewhere else. Overpriced concessions and subpar customer service. The screen was dim and cleanliness was a major issue. Definitely WILL NOT give this place another chance.
I’ve been to this theater for a long time now I’ve never had any bad experiences except till now (disappointingly). The employee named Cameron was very rude and just complained the whole time in front of the customers which is very unprofessional. The other employees made me feel welcomed so to have this employee ruin my vibe really annoyed me and I never make reviews like ever.
Always clean, offers a variety of hit movies and usually no wait time. Game room and clean bathrooms are a plus! Plenty of stalls to choose from and filled soap dispensers. Staff is always around for assistance, not hovering, but helpful. Second time viewing there and I will be taking my family again!
Use to enjoy this theater but ever since they combined the ticket booth with the concession stand it's been terrible. Concession has always been slow here but now it's even worse. Who wants to wait behind multiple parties getting large orders of food and drinks just to purchase a ticket? Not me.
Nice theater, clean and not too crowded. Snackbar with popcorn, sweets/candies and beverages (including beer on tap). Sometimes hot dogs are available. Theater is in good shape and upkept well. Bathrooms clean. No mask requirement. Free parking. Buy tickets online for ease of access.
This place is awesome, they allow you to store your luggage if needed, which we had to do on two separate occasions due a delayed ship and flight. The movies we watched were great but the atmosphere of the people of Jacksonville made it even better. Jacksonville you guys rock!
We were the only people in the theatre. The theater was clean and the associates were very attentive to our needs. There's probably a much better atmosphere when the theatre is filled with the energy of other movie goers. But we enjoyed having an entire theater to ourselves.
First time to this movie theater. I expected a human to check our e-ticket when we walked in, but no one was there. We later found out the staff at the concession counter scan the ticket. It would have been nice to post a sign somewhere so people would know how that works.
Nice theatre wide aisles and comfortable seats. Good location for running errands after your film. Down side, when they say your hotdog will be ready in 'one minute' and it takes almost 10 you may end up with an over microwaved shriveled dog.
Was excited to go back to the show. Purchasing tickets was slow. The new 3d movie didn't play right at first but they fixed it. There was about 35 minutes of previews. A bit much. Place was clean and not busy around 6pm. I'd still go again!
This theater was very nice and clean. The butter popcorn was so delicious I could imagine getting some just on any random day without going to see a movie. The staff was very friendly and made us laugh. I also like that you can choose your
I was supposed to receive free tickets. The employee removed the transaction and entered it again and charged me the full price. So if you have loyalty points they are not good for them. Also they are not offering any combos. You will pay
The theaters are average. The seats are alright, and the staff are nice enough. The cleanliness and the environment is below my standards though. There was a dead roach on the floor of the women’s bathroom. Really grossed me out. Also, if
Thinking about my experience now more in detail. I should have just gave it a five star review from the beginning. The staff was very courteous and the customer service took me by surprise on how friendly they were. You usually don't see
I thought the theatre was closed, couldn't see through the glass at the usual place, walked around to if no Time to Die was playing? It was supposed to start at 12:05 PM. Finally pushed on the door and it was unlocked . Then there
The regal theater is awesome my 18 year old grandson and my 17 year old granddaughter and I go there quite often and we all love it!! We play games in the arcade before our movie. The employees are very helpful and informative. We have
Always an awesome experience kudos to the great folks that work there! Keep up the great work! You're excellent customer services are why we continue to drive an hour and a half to watch the movies from airhead Southeastern Georgia!
Horrible, terribly dated& dirty. Horribly uncomfortable seats no padding & no recliners. Charge full price for antique seats, sound & screen, go up the road to brand new AMC state of the art theater, for same price.
We watched Jurassic Park 3D. The screen wasn't very bright. My friend couldn't even watch the movie with the glasses on because it made it too dark. The staff are amazing but the theater needs major renovations.
The bathroom was huge and clean. That's always a plus in my book. Concession could use some work. Their hot dogs weren't ready and they only had one kind of Icee. Otherwise I enjoyed my experience.
Theatre was empty, clean and pretty comfortable, just wish the seats would recline more. Popcorn and soda was good.
Super nice having this movie theater at the north side, super clean, nice staff and loving the half off Tuesdays.
