I hate to leave this type of review because the lady at the front desk was so kind to me. I am new here and was late for my appointment due to traffic. The next guest didn't arrive so I was able to still get a massage. Right after I got to the appointment the woman told me the therapist was male I was a little uncomfortable but didn't want to make an additional hassle so I said that was fine. I had been waiting on this massage all week. But this was the worst massage I've ever received. The man doesn't really massage me just kept pressing into my skin. When he did petrissage he barely used any oil so it felt like a burning sensation and was very painful the entire time. He did very uneven repetitions so like on one side of my body he would do like 15 reps of the same movement on the other side like 25 it was so uncomfortable. He left out the room abruptly twice the first time he came back he pulled the towel back and put this hot object on my back I jumped. The 2nd time he came back with a hot towel but only used one so by the time he got to my legs and feet the towel was cold and I was cold the rest of the massage. He didn't massage my arms at all. Just mostly my back. He left the door open the whole massage and I heard talking and someone's kids in the lobby area. I didn't enjoy this at all but I left a tip. They lady ask if I enjoyed it but two women were waiting in the lobby and I didn't want to talk about it, and I didn't respond. I don't know about the other massage therapists but the male was terrible and not nearly as kind as the front desk lady.

This place is extremely dated. I have had several massages in my life, and this one was by far the worst place I have ever been to. As soon as we walked in, we were checking in and a couple was leaving and the lady at the front said wait are you not going to tip your masseuse? How about a tip for them which I felt was very unprofessional to ask, even though we always tip ours. (We even did after my awful experience) They use a beach towel to cover you up that doesn’t even cover your feet. The beds have linen from like the 70s and a couch from like the 70s in the room. my masseuse never one time asked me if the pressure was OK which it was not I was coming up off of the table saying ouch and he still did not get that it was way too hard, today I woke up with bruises in my back and the side of my leg. And I can barely turn my neck, my whole neck and back hurt so bad. This was the opposite of the relaxing feel I was looking forward to. But they never did my hands or feet which was weird. But, The whole experience was pretty much torture so I was ready to go. Plus, they didn’t shut the door so you could hear people talking outside. When it was done, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough we didn’t complain we just left and we just won’t ever come back. The only reason I am leaving a review is because we picked this place based off of reviews and it was highly inaccurate. Hopefully this will help somebody else when deciding on a place to get a massage.

Extra BOO!! For the number of people I've seen going in & out of this place, I expected SOooooo much more! Service was barely memorable, it felt and looked shabby and cheap. It was rather dark and I suspected that it probably wasn't as clean as I'd prefer in there. I'm glad I only got a foot massage which turned out to be a huge waste of time. The room was not tranquil or serene...it looked like a holding room out of a movie (think "Taken"). They brought in a Bucket of warm water for me to soak my feet in. It looked like it was used to mop a floor recently. I felt no salts, herbs or aromatherapy in the water. Then I was invited to lay on a hard table for the service to begin. On at least two occasions, people kept walking into the room, speaking to the tech in a foreign language...um, where they do that at?? I thought I was having a private experience. Then, the service was the worst...I highly doubt the lady was a licensed masseuse. The straw that broke the camels back for me was when I realized I wasn't smelling any essential oils but my legs and feet felt slippery. I looked over and realized that VASELINE was being used for my massage..huh, what, why??? This place is a hot mess and will not get anymore of my money. I only assume that they are so busy because the prices are cheap and/or people haven't had a really GOOD spa experience to compare them to. ‍♀️

This was absolutely the worse massage experience I ever had. I went for my daughters b-day for a couples massage & not only was I disappointed but she was disappointed as well. First off I explained that I had been working hard all week on my feet & that my legs & feet were areas I wanted them really concentrate on. Because my legs & feet were very sore. That obviously was not understood. The therapist spent maybe 10 mins on that area. Secondly who wants a massage through a blanket. The only time the blanket was removed was during the hot stone process. It is biting relaxing or even feels good about someone rubbing your body down with a blanket rubbing against your skin. This place has no clue as to what they doing. Both my therapist & my daughters therapist was rough. I thought he was going to break something when he bent my leg back way too far & applied pressure on my knee. I feel like I ruined my daughters b-day massage experience & waisted a significant amount of money all at the same time. I would not recommend this spa for a massage to anyone.

I have been going to Relax Spa for several years now. They are consistently on their game, always exceeding my expectations. Lisa, the manager, makes sure that everything is exactly right. It is the cleanest massage store in all of Charlotte. The entire studio is "Spotless". Quality is what they are all about, and they do it at very fair prices. The massage beds are wide, well padded and the temperature in the rooms is perfect. They use the finest oils and their therapists are so experienced and know exactly how to give you what you need and want. And, during Covid, they are so careful to make sure the environment is totally safe. When you come in, they are all wearing masks and they immediately "take your temperature" to make sure you are safe. Everyone of their ladies must pass the temperature test every day. It's the only massage studio that I feel safe to go to. I promise, you will truly enjoy your experience and you will feel safe being there, and that is so important during these times. If I could I would give this place a zero a horrible experience! First off I asked if I could be covered which they had a small beach towel. The lady I had was rude kept blowing her breath out , her massage technique and pressure was horrible no essential oils just a dry massage from the start! If your looking for a real spa experience with licensed esthetician this is not it! The massage bed isnt setup like a real massage bed is in a real spa. The door was partially open you could hear people talking also not relaxing.The lady exposed my entire rear end take in mind I had shorts on I never completely undressed, I immediately pulled my clothes back up to cover it, it was very humiliating! I have a high expectation for service and I'm sure they just expect you to accept whatever but, this is a sub-par establishment. The only good thing I was able to get my money back I stayed only for 5 minutes. Take the warning and find a real spa experience pay a little extra it will be worth going elsewhere!!

I was referred there by my sister. This was my first time at this location for my mother’s birthday. My experience was not so good. The staff was nice but the lady that did my massage left the room at least 9 times within that hour. The first couple times, I assumed she was grabbing towels or something additional for the massage. On the 4th time I looked up and apparently she was monitoring the front door on her phone. So if anyone walked in the building during the massage, she left to greet them. It may been due to low Manning, but that should have been expressed prior to the massage. I would have waited another time to get the massage. On top of that, I felt like she wasn’t focused on my massage. Every time she left the room, she would start on a different part of my body and she was rubbing fast almost like a Swedish massage. It was by far the worst massage that I have ever gotten. On a better note, my mother said her masseuse was good and the tea at the end tasty.

Hands down the best massages my mom & I have ever had. They do an excellent combination of thereaupetic AND relaxing massage. I try to do deep tissue as much as I can, but I’m so sensitive that usually I have to do breathing exercises to get through it. Somehow, Benny did the perfect combination of getting to all my problem areas & removing all tension while maintaining a superbly relaxing experience. This is all I have to say: we have to drive an hour & 45 mins one way to Charlotte whenever anyone needs a ride to the airport. Before coming to Relax Spa, this was always a chore….now, my mom and I are vying to do the drive just so we can come here after airport duties!!!!! The staff is incredible - Jaclyn is so warm & welcoming, Lina did an INCREDIBLE job working out all the stress for my mom, & Benny gave me the best massage I’ve ever had!!!!! Couldn’t recommend Relax Spa enough. We can’t wait for the next airport run!

60 min foot massage for 45.00.. it seems like a lot longer. While my feet soaked in a hot tub.. I was treated to a light neck and upper body massage... I told the masseuse that my left foot needed extra attention and she gave it.. I noticed that when she did both my upper body and my foot massage that she did not massage the left/right sides the same.. Somehow she just knew what areas needed attention on each side. I get foot massages often, but I swear this woman rubbed parts of my feet I didn't even know were there! I left feeling great. The only thing I would say is that she had small hands (which many Asian women do)... But I mention that bcz I am an athletic person and can take a harder massage.. So I have often found that men or the women with plumper hands give me the best massages... But all in all.. I would go back. They were really nice and can understand enough English to give you what you ask for!

My wife visited this spa last week and just fell in love with the place. She bragged about the wonderful massage, the wonderful masseuse, and how elegant and nice this spa is. I decided to give my wife a Mother's Day surprise gift and treated her (and myself) to a couples massage at Relax Spa. I have never had an overall amazing experience such as the one I had today at any massage business!! The couple's massage room was beautifully decorated and very relaxing. The massage was INCREDIBLE! Lily was my masseuse. She applied the perfect pressure and was able to really focus on problem areas in a way that felt both therapeutic and relaxing. She also has a strong sense of anatomy and an intuitive touch. Jessica massaged my wife and likewise gave a very thorough professional massage. We had a GREAT experience and will return soon! We definitely recommend!!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Relax Spa for a massage, and it was truly one of the best experiences I've had. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and made me feel special. They took the time to ask me about my preferences and any areas that needed extra attention, and they tailored the massage perfectly to my needs. The massage itself was absolutely amazing - the therapist (ANN) was skilled and knowledgeable, and she was able to work out all of the tension in my muscles. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Overall, I would highly recommend Relax Spa to anyone looking for a top-notch massage experience. The staff is friendly and professional, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Please don’t insult the staff by asking Happy Ending and all other nonsense. That’s a 100% healing place..

Took 1 hr . Front desk manager greeted well .looks like she changed the massagist on last minute .I asked the manager why was it and she pretended nothing happened !! Old lady assigned had language issue. She kept the door half way open during session , which was very weird .I felt embarrassing . I had stiff back and in upper shoulders . Old lady did work well in back . She did not do front side at all . She applied strong pressure on head and neck area which I told her not to . Wish she could have given a heads up before applying strong pressure . But it was too late for neck area and I had pain for 2 days in neck area . Rooms are clean . Easy to get appointment . Cheap rate .

I have been to this establishment twice so far in one month :-) My therapist is Judy. She does a fantastic job, she stretches, gives good massage strokes, and applies the pressure that is asked for. She will check in and ask a few times in the beginning to make sure the pressure is fine. If it is not, just speak up and she quickly accommodates. I have received all of my massage time. I feel comfortable in the building and in the room. I naturally get cold, so I would love a table warmer but my body does get adequately covered when it's not being worked on. I leave feeling like I had a fantastic massage. I will definitely be back.

I was a first time walk-in client on a Sunday afternoon. I received the warmest of welcomes and the woman at the front desk had me linked up with Tina in seconds!! SHE WAS THE BUSINESS❤️❤️ I wish I would have asked for the name of the woman who welcomed me, she made me feel incredibly comfortable and also spoke with Tina on what my body would benefit from the most. There was a lot of care and kindness in the building along with knowledge and skill. I truly walked out of that building feeling incredible and it showed in my body days after. From out of town called and they could fit me in as walk in - of course a little apprehensive especially they asked for full payment up front and tip if you like separate at the end. I trepidatiously agreed made payment. They were very friendly and assuring.. I needed deep deep tissue - the massage was one of the BEST EVER I am quit familiar having had massage all over the world including Asian countries. I believe Anna (Relax Spa pls give name) - she was great also little uncomfortable with ladies therapist she was great - I live 2 hrs away and perhaps would make drive just for this massage again thx

Amazing. Myself and my wife were looking for proper thai massage in charlotte. We could not find any before. This place does proper thai massage. Had amazing service done for both of us. They charged 80$/hour which I feel decent. I missed to get the masseuse name. Very clean place. When we looked from outside, we felt it bit shady. But inside was so clean and good. My only suggestion is that they should close the massage rooms fully as we hear all outside noise which is disturbing. But they leave it intentionally open. But we will go only to this place in future too in charlotte.

Not as creepy as it looks. My husband and I had a couple’s massage here. The exterior (run-down) and even interior (Grandma’s house) decor is a little off-putting, but be assured the service is superb. The masseuses are very strong and will work out your kinks. This is great if you like deep tissue. I recommend that you do the hot stone aromatherapy- it’s extra, but worth it. And speak up if the pressure is too much! Excellent value for the price. Ignore the bad reviews; they worked on us the entire time and were conscientious about our experience.

I am a Massage Therapist and have been coming to Relax Spa for a few months now, this is an amazing place to come for relaxation or just in need of some much needed body work. I have worked with two different therapist one relocated (Alice) and the staff partnered me with another therapist (Cindy), 90 min deep tissue is all I want or more. I leave feeling completely relaxed and relieved! Pressure is perfect! Never painful just perfect!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! The hours are perfect for anyone with a busy schedule! Friendly staff, clean and safe!

I have traveled all over the world, and have recieved many massages in many types of modalities. I would have to say the young lady whom I received a massage today from at relax spa was one of the best I have ever had. She was extremely strong and intuitive, she is definetly a gifted healer. I am grateful places like this exist. I didnt get her name, but I am extremely grateful for the experience. I urge anyone who has never tried this charlotte gem to go there and book this young lady. Wish I would have gotten her name :(

It was my first time using this business.The appointment made online was unprofessional & when I arrived no one was in the front to acknowledge me.I was seen by associates but ignored. Finally.I spoke with someone & told the discount that I saw was irrelevant.I had to wait 20 minutes because of a previous late arrival. The actual massage was painful. She used too much pressure on the sensitive & previously injured locations. My comments about pain & discomfort were ignored. My pain has continued days after my appointment.

Came in they started with all this weird questions, Afterwords they asked to pay in advance before we even got the massage The guy was super rude and angry just because I said it was a bit painful and maybe we can move to the foot . He got so angry that they stopped the massage in the middle and wanted to change to different lady , I’ve have enough so I stopped in the middle and just left! Very bad. But at least my friend said that he had a good time with the other massage therapist lady. Overall I don’t recommend. Sorry

Very clean and professional. I went for an hour deep tissue. The first 20 minutes was great then they swapped employees. The second was fine but not as strong. I plan to give them another try to see if they always swap employees or this was just an odd day. Update: gave them another try. This time I had the same masseuse the entire time. I guess the first visit was a fluke. Eva was great! Used her elbows to take care of a couple trouble spots

Kerry and Mae were very good therapists! My husband and I went here today for a couples massage. I wanted to introduce my husband to what I grew up with and I'm glad he thought it was great. We went somewhere before and never really liked it so we explored this one as it was right next to my favorite banh mi place. We're glad we did because we had a good time! We came out relaxed and feeling better.

The place was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere. About ten minutes into massage she said you very tight I should walk on your back. I replied add a half hour to my hour. I got worked over with her squeezing knots out of my back with feet, arms and hands. I don’t believe I ever had someone work so hard to get those out and I’ve been going for massages a long time. Coco is strong.

I booked the morning of due to me being in pain from a really stiff back. I could barely walk by the time I got here. They got me in and were SO NICE! Very professional and calming as soon as you walk through the door. Wendy took care of me and I was able to actually walk out of here with a smile on my face. I will be returning, without a doubt. I 10/10 recommend the deep tissue massage!

I was a member of Massage Envy for many years and got completely fed up with dealing with rookie therapists, excessive prices and having to book appointments a month out if you wanted a good therapist. Relax Spa is incredible with a beautiful facility and most importantly, professional therapists that really know their profession! Highly recommend!

Massages are okay, customer service is not good, they tend to pressure you for a tip towards the end. Lady in the front will open door during your massage which interrupts the energy, peacefulness and privacy. Also towels are way too short so I recommend wearing underwear under the towel. Overall I don’t recommend this place, it has a creepy uncomfortable vibe.

Wow where do I start ... Extremely clean and very polite. The atmosphere was soooo peaceful. And it smells like jasmine. Ahh I was in love with the atmosphere LOL before I even got the massage. Decided to try this place out for the convenience and somewhere to go in between my monthly visits to my massage therapist....the front desk was very friendly and accommodating along with the therapists. I brought my friend with me and we both enjoyed our hot stone/foot massages and said we'd come back. This was nice to just relax and have a bodywork tune up!

My friends recommended this place a a long time ago but I already had a massage therapist coming to my house. Most recently she raised up her price and fee so I decided to try this place out. I’ve been to this place numerous times and ANY person I get randomly always do very well. My boyfriend and I came and we were able to get seen on such a busy holiday-Valentine’s Day! He had a great experience for his first time too. Time flies when you’re having fun, an hour goes by too fast LOL. I also recommend hot stones.. they are such muscle relaxers.

Without telling May where I really needed the most attention- she knew just by massaging around on my back. I’ve been to many massage places in the Mooresville area & got tired of spending money at places that weren’t worth it. I would definitely come here again & even bring my mother here. Absolutely, positively, THE BEST MASSAGE that I have ever had. You'll never go back to a big box massage place ever. The staff is experienced and knowledgeable. If you ask for them to focus on a particular area, they will exceed your expectations. The place is clean and cute inside. After your massage, enjoy a delicious banh mi sandwich next door!

I do not recommend. An hour body massage, only gave me 50 minutes. This is an obvious steal of time. When you use a credit card, guests are charged a $3 service fee. This approach is to pass the commercial expenses that the business should bear to the guests, and ask the guests to bear the costs. In the end, they don't do good job either.

Location and ambiance were just right. Temperature, mood, and music were very relaxing. My only complaint was I paid for a foot massage (upfront) and never received it. I presented my concern to the front desk and she made up an excuse. What truly bothered me was she proceeded to ask for a tip for the massage!

Wendy is AHMAZING!!! Great massage! Super sweet customer service from the hostess as well as my Masseuse. Tips: if you want your feet included you need to book a 90 minute massage, and if you pay with card currently they charge an additional 3 dollars on top of service unless you pay with cash app or Venmo.

Mary was the best massage therapist I’ve had in Charlotte, and in a long time. I asked for what I needed, and she focused and had great soothing energy. The front desk girl, Adina, was also super sweet and helpful. I highly recommend it, and will be adding this to part of my self care routine. Thank you!

Literally amazing experience, Sofia gave me the best massage I’ve ever received hands down! It’s like she knew everything that was wrong with my body and pin pointed all the right spots. Seriously can’t recommend this place enough, definitely going to be a regular to help with my back pain.

Honestly, the prices were great. It was my first full body massage, and I'm not really enthusiastic about having another one at all. The masseur he kind of blew off my questions (not sure if he spoke English) and was a little too rough. I think he did deep tissue, but I asked for Swedish.

This review is for the “deep tissue massage”people. Jack found every little tight muscle and kept the pressure the same throughout my 90 minute massage. He did go softer when I asked him. Overall I loved it and feel great. I’m looking forward to my next session with him.

This is a warm place, everyone here is nice and I feel welcomed. My therapist did a awesome job on all my pain. I came in with pain but leave with relaxing. Every one in this spa has smiling face. I really love this place. Highly recommend here. Will be back for sure.

It is a small place, old and little color decoration but the quality is really good. The Chinese way is a strong and original technique. If you want to take a real deep tissue massage, I recommend it. They also have feet soak and massage that I will try next time

Recently my wife and I came here for a massage. From the receptionist to Mary and Eva were great. They are very pleasant. They treated us with respect. And provided a great massage. They were able to relieve the pain and tightness in my wife's neck and back.

This is a great place to get a massage. The atmosphere is tranquil and the employees are very approachable. Front desk was very welcoming. I did an hour body works and I had Mike. He was fantastic and ensured the pressure was right. Defiantly recommend.

38 weeks pregnant and I was soo sore. Honestly, I only went because my sister forced me but I am sooo so so thankful she did. The massage was amazing. I was stiff and could barely walk. But when I left I felt light and relaxed. Best nap ever too
