NEVER rent a car here !! You will get a car you didn't book. We booked Renault Clio, or comparable car from class B. We got Fiat Panda from lower category. The contact is horrible and the delivery of the car takes much longer than you can expect and looks different than is described in the internet. AVOID these DECEIVERS !! We booked in the internet the car of Renault Clio category (class B). It was written than after the arrival somebody from the company will be waiting for us in the arrival hall with a card with our name. Of course, nobody waited. We had to call several times to a guy until he answered. He lied that he was waiting for us but we didn't come. We had to wait for him plenty of time at the airport until he eventually came. Finally, we went to pick our car. We booked Renault Clio (or comparable) and he gave us much smaller Fiat Panda. When we demanded Punto he said that both of them have 4 doors so it means that they are from the same category. So, BE CAREFUL !! Next time you will book Volvo S90 and you will get Panda because they both have 4 doors ;) When we showed him on the website that Panda is from lower category this liar suddenly changed his mind. He said that our car was broken and he had to give it to a mechanic. But due to siesta he can't take it now. Finally, he said that either we can take the car we didn't book or we can cancel reservation, he doesn't care. He only wrote that he can reimburse the difference for the cars from different categories when we will give back the car. So we end up with the smallest car possible, although we paid for a bigger. After giving car back, we wrote them an email demanding reimbursement of the money. They didn't reply and we didn't get this money until today. THE WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY EVER !!

Worst rental car company I have ever used in Spain or anywhere else in the World! Deposit: Over 7 weeks have past I am still awaiting the refund of €780 which should have been done in 4-6 weeks. Having made numerous telephone calls to Rent A Car Spain I have still not been able to speak to anyone Rent A Car Spain in the office (with the except of one time) despite calling during Rent A Car Spain’s office hours of 10am to 2pm. The staff who answer the telephone can be very rude and insulting. The Cars: Rent A Car Spain stated that “we are a low cost company, all our cars are around 3 years old and all of them completely checked with legal inspection and are also checked before being delivered.” However I rented two cars A Ford Focus I was given is the Second generation model made between 2004–2011, so the car is at 13 -6 years old, and, A Fiat Panda is a Second generation model made between 2003–2012, so the car is at 14 -5 years old. On the Ford Focus the exhaust system warning light was on and there were mechanical issues with the car. The age of both cars meant that the fuel efficiency was very bad and any cost saving of rent was completely lost by the extra fuel costs. Additionally the cars were dirty and delivered with the fuel level on reserve tanks.

The problems with this rental company started from day one. We rented a 9-seater van for 14 days, with full insurance, but instead we got two old cars that were not suitable for us. We were promised that the cars would be replaced the next day, but they were replaced on the 4th day after repeated requests. When we eventually received the van, it was not in the technical condition we expected, but we were finally able to start travelling. One week in, the car broke down on the road due to its poor condition, but we did not receive any help, although we kept calling the company's 2 phone numbers and writing emails. It was only 2 days later that they took the car away, claiming that it was our fault. They did not replace the car - we were left to fend for ourselves and find a way to finish our holiday and get to the airport. We rent cars on our holidays all the time, but we have never had such problems. We would not recommend this company to anyone as it is the fastest way to ruin your holiday: plans will have to be changed and sightseeing tickets will have to be sacrificed just like they were for us.

We hired a car on 3rd Oct from Malaga airport. We had an 82 year old with walking difficulties with us. Nobody was around to meet us. We had difficulty getting through on the mobile. Eventually somebody came. The car had a cracked windscreen, as we didn't pay a huge amount of money we accepted . Reading other reviews , we were lucky , as although the car appeared beaten up, it seemed roadworthy...as I said before we didn't pay a lot of money so accepted what we got...on returning the car , we were told we had to leave in a car park with the keys....this was rather difficult as the car park was a good walk away, and my husband struggled, due to having walking difficulties. I would not have posted this review, exept that 390 euros was taken and not returned to my credit card...we were informed that it is retained for 3weeks! That time has now gone, and after reading other reviews regarding deposits not returned and unable to make contact via email/ or telephone , it appears they randomly keep people's money. I will post again with an update...

Do not use this car company, may be the cheapest option but wish we would of paid more for a proper company and service. First when we were due to collect the car at the airport he was over half an hour late and we couldn't get an answer off either two numbers on their website. When we got the car we noticed it already had a significant amount of of damage and 170,000 on the range, then after a few days of use we nearly spun off on a roundabout which highlighted to us that three of the tyres were not road worthy. Then dropping off the car was just as bad as they forgot again that they were meant to be picking it up that day. Rang the two numbers over and over again, eventually got through and he picked up the car 45 minutes late and we nearly missed our check in! One guy trying to run a car rental business, pay more and go somewhere else.

Ordered a car for 4 months and given a car with over 100k kms and virtually no petrol in the car. Told on pick up it was petrol but at the pumps I noticed on the fuel tank it stated diesel. Had to call them to confirm. Then 2 weeks later car broke down due to flat battery. Took car back to the only address I could find and it was located in a backstreet near the airport. No one there and no contact could be made with them. Only way of contact is via WhatsApp. Despite promises I am still awaiting return of the rest of my money and plan to use a solicitor if not settled next week as it's a matter of principle. Would NEVER use this company again and there are better options. Hard to believe the positive reviews on this site based on my experience.

At arival we had no problems, we received the car, did the payment and we left the airport. We had no problems with the car as well. On drop off, no one answered my calls and no one came to pick up the car. I left the car in the agreed place and we went to catch our plane. All this happen in the end of May, 2018. Now is the middle of September 2018 and I still did not get my deposit (€390,-) back in my account. I called the rental company several times. Always the same answer - they are sorry and in 2-3 days my money will be in my account. Now I am trying to get it done by my credit card company. Need to go to the police. And no one knows how long I will wait for my money... Terrible experience! I will never use their service again!

We had bad experience with this company. They gave us old horrible car - Fiat punto which has difficulties to move. We were in stress that it can break down all the time we were using it. We received the car without petrol not with full tank as it is usuall. The price was very good but they charched us 100€ more for nothing (as deposite) which had to be returned 2 days after we return the car. But after 2 weeks we still dont have this deposite and they charged us other 30€ because of contract conditions - they charged this amount if you return car between 10pm-8am and leave it at the AirPort. So I can NOT RECOMMEND this company as we were very dissapointed and as they charged us much more without any reason and any explanation.

Scammers.... We’ve booked 9-sits car long time ago. When we arrived to Malaga we’ be been offered 7-sits car or 2 cars... no comments.... Literally they don’t give a sh...t about customers. They’ve emails me that I’ve provided wrong phone no. The issue is they have sent a mail while we were on the plain. If they have had informed us about the issue with the car we could fixed that days before arrival. They’ve been waiting till the very last moment - in my opinion they just simply play with clients by purpose. They left us with no solution at the parking lot and left. Luckily there are decent car rentals offices at the airport and we managed to get 9-sits car and friendly service.

Reading posts here i was a little woried, but... This was the easyest pick up car ever. Stefan is realy nice guy and polite with good english. Everithing what is written on their web it is true. Suggest to take their all inclusiv package. You have no deposit on crefit card, no aditional insurance, unlimited millage, no cost for aditional driver. Returnig car if you have pictures are 5min formality at airport. Maybe their cars are little old and with more km, but if you need it for driving around Andalucia is more than enough. Their price is double cheaper then eith other companies. And 1-3 day is same price, so you will have more days for same price for this beautifull country.

Por donde empezar, sin duda la peor compañía de alquiler de coches en España, nunca recibí el contrato de alquiler (a pesar de solicitarlo innumerables veces). El coche que nos dieron es un peligro para la humanidad, problemas de encendido, frenado, recalentamiento, etc. la atención al cliente es nefasta, nunca atienden el teléfono y todo por whatsapp (respondiendo cada dos días). Después de unos meses me hicieron el cobro de una aparente multa sin nisiquiera contactarme primero, solicito información de la multa y ni la tienen. Sin duda NO RENTEN CON ELLOS, aquí aplica “lo barato sale caro”. Si pudiese poner 0 estrellas sin duda lo haría

I rented I car in Benalmádena for one week, was fiat panda yellow, the car was without petrol and the guy say : don’t worry you can give me the car back empty. On the agreement was : 7 days rent until 17:04:2019 at 22:00 o’cloK. I contact him one day before for give the car back where they collect , 5 hours before, him ask me €15 for that, plus €10 for petrol, after I discovered they tacking €50 deposit, when after 10 days I contact them they found to many excuses, they say; you didn’t give me the money for the petrol ecc... N.B the car was without any sort of breaks!!!! Guys avoid this people!!!!

The mini-van provided was quite old and shabby, not a big deal in itself as the price was good. An additional fee of 30 euros was added due to ‘small print’ which was aggravating but the staff handling car pick up and drop off were nice and professional. However, the return of my 390 euros deposit took quite a bit of chasing. On collecting the car I was told it would be returned 10-15 days after the car was returned (car was returned with no damage). I called again and was told a month, and in the end it took a month and ten days, though it was returned in its entirety.

This was my first time renting or driving a car in Europe. We picked up the car directly into Malaga Airport , a person from Rentacarspain Staff was waiting to delivery the car. A road map purchased in USA proved to be useless, so we decide to rent a GPS too for6 eur a day. This gadget saved our trip ! We rented a Panda ,it was good on gas and the price was reasonable. I was told to return it with the same amount of gas as what we were given initally, which we did. I would rent from them again in my next trip and I will reccomend to family and friends!

My experience was very bad especially at the end. My deposit was not returned in the 20 working days the company claims to do. I had to do various telephone calls which didnt solve the problem. I had to whatapp to different numbers to get any information. Finally I was told the money was sent (but never send me a confirmation, although I asked) after few days I was told the payment was done that day, no one explained why they lied to me in the first place. Terrible service, very bad communication, no respect to the client. I dont recomend it!

I would never recommend this company. The car you get are wrecks. I have been in spain 30 times or so and i have tried different companies. But this company provided the worst car. Everything sounds from it and loose in steering. They also did not gave me the price.even if a requested a quote. The added 20 euro extra off hours. But i sent a quote and they lnow i was leaving the car early. But no information in the quote. My first car also broke down and i had to fix everything. The replacment car where in louser conditition then the first.

Ordered a Ford Focus automatic delivered to Malaga airport. The car was over an hour late and was not the car we ordered. The courier brought us a small Fiat manual and wanted the same price. Condition of the car was questionable. Had to decline and had to insist the contract was revoked. We then walked to another car hire company. Finaly got to our destination at 01:30, 3 hours late. This it would seem (having spoken to another customer at the same time) is an untrustworthy company dealing with dubious cars....con artists.

it s joke!!! the same chevrolet as the personne that wrotte just before now with 146000 km, dirty, inside and outside and the same scarry noise when you drive on the autopista they send you a quote and then at the airport it s 100 euros more because i should have read that i am obliged to book the fully insurance but the insurance wouldn't even pay a 500 euros for this car!! run away ! and the gasoline should be a quater …. as written on the file i received. it almost empty good that i had few km to drive the first night

I hate organizing my holidays. It´s all a nightmare to me I just want to get there. The flight, transfers, taxis, cars etc etc. I decided on my trip to the costa del sol to use a rental car. I looked at lots of options. Too many when you read into it had rip-off fuel issues and additional costs etc. In the end I booked with Rentacarspain obviously nervous something wouldn´t be right. I arrived, I was met in the correct place and everything they have on their website was true. Great site and great service.

If I could get away with not adding any stars I would. This company should not be trading. The cars are not roadworthy, they don't answer their office phone or emergency phone and ignore all what's app messages and emails. Absolutely appalling service and what a load of bangers, three different cars we had to have, one of which broke down. We are now receiving legal advice on how to get our deposit back. They should be closed down. The worst company I have ever dealt with in all my years in Spain.

It's a scam. Low headline prices, then after you pay the non-refundable rental they tell you the excess insurance is mandatory. result, a car twice as expensive as with a real rental company like goldcar and a 10 year old wreck of a car. Do not use these guys, it's a rip off. All the so called good reviews are self posted, got to be, they're awful. Edit. In the end, a 92 euro hire cost me 542 euros for 2 weeks. A ferrari from a real rental company would be cheaper!

We own a property in Costa del Sol have used several car hire companies, for last 8 years we have only used then, they offer a great meet and greet service, without mini-bus and returning directly to departures area, for us the time its very important as we normally go on weekends. The price is the best if you compare the conditions with other car rental firms, no fuel upfront payment, road assistance included, no crazy deposits more than thousands Eur etc...

I am very disappointed by this service! Warning about this company!! The employee of the company collected a "deposit" 390,- € when providing the car. The car was returned in a good order however the "deposit" still has not been returned to the account for more than 1 month. The company explains this as "the deposit was intended for our future services". Furthermore they do not communicate any more. I find this an impertinent theft. Pavel , Czech republic

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, they are going to kill someone with the Unroadworthy cars they rent to people and then take more money from credit cards than agreed. We where given a car with more Warning lights on the Dashboard than on a Christmas tree. We had to abandon the “Car” at the Airport and then had to fight for 4 weeks for a refund. The amount of times I have been ripped off by car hire companies I can not remember. but believe me when I tell you it´s a lot. What a difference last week. I took a car for rentacarspain in Malaga. The rep was waiting, the car was there, the paper-work was ready. I paid exactly what they quoted me. There was no charge for fuel, there was no charge for my 2 additional drivers. All in all it was easy and hassle free.

Shameful service. We had a puncture and when we went to change tyre we realised car had no spare wheel, and such wheel was mounted as standard. We were left with no choice but to repair car to our own cost (insurance contact number given was invalid) and two months later we're still waiting for refund and in litigation to get all our money back, even though we paid for premium insurance cover. Stay away from them!

vaery bad experience with this rent a car company, they give us a car with over 150.000 km, problems with steering, smells awful, the baby's seat was broken and very dirty, it's been a month and a half since I'm waiting for the guarantee back , evrytime when i call they are not in the office and so on...., on wats app they don't answer anymore, I will appeal to the authorities Update : they send my money back.

Won't return the $200 Euro deposit. Was told multiple times that it will be returned soon, and I still don't have it. Ended up filing a chargeback with the credit card company. On top of this, cars are old, high millage (173,000+ Kms), stained seats and full of damages and scratches. I would stay away from this company (check out the 1 star reviews which had the same issues).

I went to Malaga on vacation last month and I hired a mini-bus. The bus was clean and new and very comfortable. The great thing (been 9 passengers) was that there was no hour long queue to get the keys. My rep was waiting in the arrival hall and he had the car with him. This was a relief. Just 10 minutes after collecting our bags from the belt we were driving away.

This past April I was traveling in the Spanish Costa del Sol. I inquired before starting my stay about the area in some Internet forums that recommended hiring a car in order to have more freedom of movement. I listened to the advice and opted to rent a car in rentacarspain and was one of the best decisions of the trip. The deal and the service was wonderful.

Wouldn't use anybody else in Malaga if I am honest. The cars can be older and have some bruises but they work and are safe. Given where you have to park around Andalucia your car does not stand out as a target to thieves with "tourist" written all over it so it suits me just fine. Airport process is simple, quick and easy as is the booking process.

Low prices to all inclusive modality. The best we have tried so far! I have used them 2 times now and each time I have been driving away within 15 minutes of collecting my bag from the baggage belt. No hidden costs, no fuel fee and the rep waiting for me on arrival. A 2 minute stroll with the rep finds me at the car and away.

This is sadly another company who promiss a lot but don't deliver. Maybe only when you threatened them then they will move a little bit. In first instance it was said 200 Euro caution for a fiat panda later it was 390. Now almost a month later still waiting for them to return my kaution. Difficult to reach somebody.

Started off being a very smooth and clear service but ended up being the absolute worst rental company I've had the misfortune of dealing with. Booked a small car for one day from 0930 after several WhatsApp messages they finally got back saying they were running late. Very good experience in Malaga. It was the first time we used this rental company and we will certainly repeat it since the deal was great and they offer a real all-inclusive rate. They delivered us the car without a queue and without moving us from the airport. I have already booked for the summer.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. We got a car that was not from the category we paid for and it broke after 1 week then we had to get ourselves the new car witch was even worse and older smaller car. They do not respond if you call or text or have problems. Would not recommend by any means.

I decided to choose the all risk rate to rent a car in Malaga with Rentacarspain. I only paid the amount of the rent since the rate was zero excess. Very happy with this rent a car. I suggest it to all those who look for economic option without losing quality in the service.

We have rented a car 13 march 2018 for one week ,car returned as we received it. we are already two weeks back at home and still no diposit paid,several times try to contact but they do not answer . anayone have an idea what we can do to get our €390 deposit back?

The staff are very friendly and try to help us accomodating luggages into the car when we arrive latenight due to a flight delay. I could not be more pleased with the service offered from the check-in to the final return. Every one is friendly and very helpful.

I had a terrible experience with this company. They give you an old car, very extensively used and rarely rapaired, so you have a high chance that something gets broken like it happened to me. And then you are on your own without support. Good luck!

High class service!! The car we rented was thoroughly in the right shape and served our traveling motives nicely. Cost was very affordable, they also did not ask for fuel charges and there was no other hidden charges as well. Very satisfied.

These guys are great, rates are always reasonable and you can get in and out of there in about 5 min if you have all your stuff together. 24 hour return option at the hotel nearby is an awesome option too and cheaper for 24+ hour rentals.
