I came here for a tire repair because of a nail. I came here with a picture of where the nail might be but I was told that was not a nail. It’s just a stone. They said they triple checked my tire and found no nail. So instead of letting me know before what they would do, they just sealed the rim and called it a day, which I had to pay more for, $37 vs $20 (to fix a nail). I was fine as along as my tire was fixed correctly. However, they didn’t do it right! My tire got flat again the very next day. I literally drove home directly from the shop that day and didn’t move my car again! I had to change my flat tire twice within 2 days because of others’ incompetence. I went to Firestone The next day and told them about the nail with my picture. They pull the nail out from that exact spot I told the first shop about but on one in the 1st shop believed me. If you still want to go to Repairs on Wheels to fix you tire for a nail (where the nail is not too obvious to be spotted), plz make sure you pull the nail somewhat out to make it obvious enough so no one could argue with you. Otherwise, you may have to get it done again! I would not go back to that place again! It’s a waste of money and time!

This place can’t even clear coat the rim correctly. Paid $174 for fixing the rim “expensive way”, and the service advisor assured me it will be fine. First, they didn’t really match factory Volvo color (which I think isn’t paint but just clear coated aluminum)A month later clearcoat and their bogus silver paint started peeling. Submitting the refund claim for the transaction with my bank. They tried to offer body repair, too. At a discount! Haha stay away from their paint and body repair services unless you want your car to end up with the look of a New York uber or a taxi Their painting specialists are a joke as most of the auto repair services in NYC. They also encourage cash payment. Now you know why. Response to the owner: The marketing of your repair services looks good on paper; you used this response to submit a response to my credit card transaction dispute and you were successful in upholding the transaction. Congratulations! The rim that your company 'painted' on my Volvo XC90 keeps peeling more and more though.

I got stranded in Tribeca with a busted brake line in the way at a parking garage at 4pm on a workday. Everyone I called could either not help me or wanted crazy money to tow it. I called repair on wheels and Sean assured me that they would do there best to get me back on the road to Pennsylvania and refered me to a tow company that charged me 1/3 of what everyone else quoted me, was there in 30 minutes and once I got to repair on wheels they made it a priority while I waited. They fit a whole new brake line in just a couple hours and talked me through everything the whole time so I could let me wife know if I would make it home that night. I cannot stress how great the experience was. It was by far the friendliest, fastest, and honest shop I have ever been too and Im only sad I don't live down the street to take all of my cars there for all of their issues. Seriously could not have thanked Sean and his crew enough. They even offered me food while I waited!!!!!!

Needed an accessory belt fix quick as I needed to drive home (don't live in NYC and my car broke down). I did not need an appointment. Had it towed, dropped my keys off in the morning. By the afternoon they had it fixed. Reasonable price, very personal and accommodating. They offer a hefty discount if you pay in cash which is inconvenient but I'm glad they give the option. They ask before performing work and give you a detailed receipt of what work they've done and the cost in parts and labor. They use a text messaging system to communicate which can be problematic for some people but I liked it, especially when I was trying to get in touch. You simply send a text and they call you right away. They mostly use it to give you status updates which I found very convenient. In the end, I needed a quick, reputable place to fix my car on a Sunday for a reasonable price and this place came highly recommended. I was not let down.

I went in for an oil change. Being a woman, going to a mechanic, it's tough out here. To the ladies out there...and gents. Repairs on Wheels were super friendly and answered all my questions. I had a long ride ahead (2.5 hours) and my "change oil light" came on. All shops were already closed. They were able to take me and not once made me feel like a dollar sign. I literally prayed before going in that I wouldn't get taken advantage of like in the past. My oil was changed, they checked all the neccessary details that go with changing the oil. Finally they sent me on my way, on a safe ride to pick up my child. My car feels great. They cared very much about my time and worked quickly while letting me know constantly that I will be on my way soon. Very nice place with good people. You dont find that a lot. I am very satisfied with their service. We need more mechanics like them!!

Alex & his team are AMAZING! I previously had been bringing my car to another mechanic whom I have trusted for years. I was just there on Monday for an oil change & I had him rotate my tires. Tuesday I ran over an open broken umbrella & I thought it was stuck under the car/wheel well. I brought my car to Alex on Friday & once the car was on the lift I learned that the calipers are rusted & the pistons are stuck on both rear tires, so it was wearing one side of the rear break pad down to grind to the medal.. & it was wearing it down unevenly bc the pistons were not working inside the caliper. Unfortunately, my other mechanic didn't bother to take a look at my rear breaks when he rotated my tires to notice my pad was gone.. needless to say, I'm getting everything done now at Repairs on Wheels! Alex's team is great, showed me everything, he's reasonably priced & HONEST!!

I’ve been a customer here for about 6 years and I’ve never regret bringing any of my vehicles here. I have a 2007 Cadillac and it’s in great shape thanks these guys, they are great and your car gets fixed very fast. My 2018 Dodge Charger was in the body shop due to an accident and when I went to pick it up I was surprised by how new it looked, they did a amazing job fixing inside, outside and all areas that was impacted in the accident. They even got the paint color correct. All payments were out of pocket so they give me time to gather my payments and didn’t charge me a storage fee. Once I had my payment ready my car was ready in 2 weeks. This is the only mechanic I visit when ever I have a issue with my vehicles. Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended.

I went to these guys on a recommendation from another shop. I didn't need an appointment. They promised me my car in 24 hours and the next day my car was ready. My rims were brand new again and they did a great job with the repairs on the busted rims and the coating . There's a lot of nitpicking on these reviews about stuff that has nothing to do with the work . The work was excellent the customer service was great because I didn't have to go back and forth with anyone I dropped off my car called and they said it was ready and I picked it up. If NYC (or PA) streets mess up your rim or tire you have a lot of choices. If you want reliability and honesty you’ve found the right shop. These guys are legit. They have an incredible operation here and get things done. Alex knows cars and his team is on top of things for their customers. Your wheels will come out looking new at a reasonable price. If your rim is beyond repair they’re even proactive and look for a replacement for you. This is what customer service is all about. I recently found out They also do more than wheels! Our inspection was due and they were able to take care of that easily also. You’ll be in good hands here and rolling again quickly.

I've been going to Repairs on Wheels since 2014. They've expertly maintained my 2013 Toyota Sienna since I bought it certified used. In Summer 2022 I tried a different auto repair shop based on the close location to my home and a referral. That location took 3 days to NOT fix the AC problem! :-( I promptly returned to Repairs on Wheels and got the problem solved in 3 hours! I've seen a few old friends bringing their vehicles here because they too know the value. Thanks to Alex, Shaun, Shorty, etc. for your consistent trustworthiness. Not sure if Pasayo is still there but thanks. Angela is no longer there but an overdue thanks to her too.

Disappointed. This place was recommended from our usual mechanic to repair a damaged rim. After the service, sensor indicates rim is still damaged. I bring it back within a month, and they charge me full price again for the same service. If I had been given any kind of break, any acknowledgment that they did not solve the problem correctly the first time, I would not be writing this. But they refused to budge, so I was forced to pay full price twice. Also they do not guarantee their work, so you are on your own as soon as you leave the shop. Find a company with more integrity.

WOWWWWW!!! Repairs on Wheels is simply awesome! From the start Shawn and Alex welcomed me and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. He referred me to Shorty, who was very knowledgeable about the repair! He gave me several options and did not pressure me at any point. Being new to the city (a country boy) it was nice having such hospitality and professional work done. The aforementioned guys ROCK! Brought my SUV yesterday to have all tires replaced according to manufacturer's recommendations (every 5 years). This was my first experience with this shop and it was amazing! I have been coming here for several years for all types of issues with several vehicles, both foreign and domestic. These guys are GREAT! They’re honest and professional. It’s very NY, so interactions are very to the point with no BS. They’re very extremely knowledgeable, and efficient. I truly couldn’t recommend them more highly. I took my car to Repairs on Wheels for a new tire and rim fix after hitting a big pothole on the turnpike. They were able to fix my rim with a small dent and replace my tire very quickly. They also fixed a small issue with an odd noise. They took the time to explain what was wrong and offered a very fair price to fix it for me. The dealer told me that my car needed about $3000 due to an oil leak....I wanted a second opinion. ROW suggested that they could "lift the car, take a look and make a recommendation" for $35. After inspecting the car, Alex told me that it was all good...all dry,...He could have tried to sell me on the (not needed) repair but he did not. They seemed to like cars...not just in the business of selling cars..MMMMM, they gain a client in me.

This is THE best place to go for emissions/safety inspections outside of "normal" business hours.They used to do inspections at all hours of the night but now they cut off inspections at 10pm which is still very accommodating. Very quick and courteous - I had a safety inspection done at 9:30pm on a Tuesday and I was in and out in under 10 minutes.Great service!

They took my bent rim(no cracks, no missing chunks) and stated the repair should take about 4 hours. They called back 24 hours later saying the rim cant be fixed. Giving 2 stars and not 1 only because they didnt charge me for tire removal, but did waste my time. Maybe they should get better equipment to fix actually bent rims and not just cosmetic scratches?

Called for an oil change, inspection, transmission work and basic maintenance but needed it completed same day and quickly; car had an issue. I called and spoke to Alex. He was able to get me in and complete all the work even requiring special oil and filter, and transmission parts on a BMW X5. Amazing! Service was great and professional! Alex is the best.

I hit the sidewalk with my vehicle causing some damage to the alloy rim. Called the shop on Sunday morning, told me to bring it in and would take 24 hours for the repair. Next day get a call at noon stating rim is ready. The work was exceptional, could not see the damage. Well worth the price. Tight run shop, highly recommend.

Needed an emergency tire patch when I mysteriously lost all pressure in a matter of minutes on Ocean Parkway. Phantom disappearing nail? Mechanic broke and glued together plastic t-joint for my water pump but didn't tell me he broke it. My water pump blew up a few weeks later because of this and blew my head gasket. Car was never the same after because of these hacks. STAY AWAY.
