Not sure what's going on with the parking lot system. The place looks clean and somehow secure. The first time, I made a reservation and pay it in advance, the QR code I received didn't work. I called customer service and she asked me the transaction ID which is 40+ alphanumeric characters through the intercom machine while blocking the parking lot entrance with my car. The whole point of the reservation was to save time and go to a work meeting. I ended up getting a new ticket and paying again. The refund will take 10 business days to happen (business days, no continuous days. It took way longer than 10 business days, but I got it). Then again I have a working meeting today, I skipped the reservation part to avoid the hassle. Well, after I paid ($20 for 3.5h) the machine decided to not take my ticket. I had to call again to be able to leave the parking lot. I don't know what's going on with the "automated" system but somebody it's not doing their job.
Terrible customer service. There is no human at the gate; not so much as a booth. There is also no way to pay at the gate. You have to pay at an electronic kiosk before returning to your vehicle, and then insert your ticket into a machine as you leave the garage. If you happen to misplace that ticket at any point in the process, you're pretty much SOL. The only option is to press a call button and talk to someone over a speaker. A lost ticket incurs a $35 fee--which is normal--BUT operators have been known to ask for people's personal information, over the loudspeaker, in public. TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE, AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS! Meanwhile, you are obstructing traffic and making a scene. Oh, and the person at the other end of the line always seems to be rude. Save your money and park elsewhere!
Kind of telling that so many of the low-star reviews mention having their car windows smashed, isn't it? This place is a joke. Garage management is abysmal. They keep saying they'll install security cameras, but it's been over a year with that promise. I had my window smashed and burglarized... called the management company and got a very rude gentleman reminding me that they have no liability to keep cars safe. You run a very real risk of having your car window smashed, while paying for the privilege. You've been warned.
Don’t park here for an event. This garage has a total of 2 walk-up pay machines for a garage the size of half a city block. This creates a long line of people waiting to pay. I waited 30 min in line to pay, which was not only a waste of time but it forced me to pay more for the parking than I otherwise would have. Then when I finally got to the exit with my car, which took another 30 min of waiting in line, I had to pay again because it had been so long since I paid the first time. Avoid this parking garage.
It's a good garage with $10 all day parking on weekends and holidays (found that out today). The only issue they have is apparently lots of their clientele have never used a parking garage before and either don't know how to just drive up and get their ticket or pay before returning to their car. I thought this was a standard process but I was stuck for 10 minutes behind people on the way in and on the way out Zero stars, if I could, to those people
I had a pleasant experience using this garage a year ago for a baseball game. Decided to use it again for a game a year later. As the picture shows, the garage says they are open until midnight on Friday. I arrive at 10:45 to find the gate closed. Had to call someone to have them open the gate so I could pay for parking and leave. The price was not bad, but why close the gate and keep people from getting their cars before the posted closing time?
I got a ticket for unlimited time after 5pm. After paying at the kiosk, I had a long phone call I took. I tried to exit 30 minutes later, and they said my ticket was only good for 15 minutes after paying. This was not posted anywhere. Then they talked down to me, like I was ignorant and the lady on the speaker at the gate yelled at me. They made me pay again to get out. Complete scam. Do business with places that don't do this. Avoid Republic.
It just took us over 45 minutes to get out of this lot (from the 2nd level) after a performance. It never should take that long to get out… cars weren’t even moving. Won’t ever park here again.
My car was broken into... there was a suspicious couple in the garage even the guard noticed before then. But they still were able to break into my car smashing the back seat window...
I've been using this parking lot for night events. Great location at a great rate. Right across from the Benaroya Hall and walking distance to the 5th Avenue Theater and Act Theater.
Their website is entirely useless to a consumer wanting rates - it is catered entirely to business owners. The only contact information is phone - NOT EVEN AN EMAIL ADDRESS!
A google review for parking lot? Why not: I parked my car succesful in an open space. All was well. This place successfully provided me with a place to park my vehicle.
It's an ugly AF parking garage in the middle of downtown. But at the very least, the views from the rooftop are pretty impressive and are worth the trip to the top.
Car was broken into, smashing the rear passenger window. I don't see a purpose to the "security" company at the garage based on the recent reviews.
Horrible. My car was broken into and windows smashed. Have to pay twice because the line is so long exiting the garage.
CAR was broken into ... security guard actually took a picture of the guy but didn't stop him... really helpful.
Very pricy and the garage is hard to navigate. Great location though!
Pay premium parking and get your windows smashed for free!
Clean and secure, close to everything in downtown Seattle
Typical downtown Seattle parking garage.
Very centrally located & clean.
Okay prices
