Was just disappointed, overall wasn’t the worst food experience I’ve had but it wasn’t 4.7 out of 5 stars, I got a Avocado hash, when I got it, I noticed the avocado didn’t look right, parts were black, so it wasn’t fresh and was on the verge of going of, I mentioned this to the waiter, who proceeded to tell me it was ok, I persisted I wasn’t happy so they went and changed it, they came back asked if everything else was ok, I mentioned that I’d paid extra for the bread and there wasn’t a lot. They went away came back and put the bread on the table and stormed off. I was happy to leave it at that, but once I’d finished my meal persisted to ask if everything else was ok, I didn’t really want to say anything, but they persisted so I explained I was disappointed but they again didn’t seem to appreciate the feedback, I have to say the coffee was really nice, I would try it again, may have just been a bad day.

Food was so - so. I'm not sure if maybe we just picked the wrong breakfast. Everyone's pancakes looked well tasty. Instead we opted for breakfast sandwiches - seemingly exciting because you can pick 3 filings from a breakfast list to put inside! I chose beans, hashbrowns and cheese (I was having a beige day). One of my mates opted for mushroom and egg. The sandwiches were just a bit lacklustre, not much filling, not much flavour. My mate asked if they could add more mushrooms to get sandwich which they did, a bit begrudgingly, but when she still wasn't happy, they comped the whole sandwich. They did all the right things I would expect in response to the complaint, but with a bit of sour attitude. Though maybe they were just busy and stressy. I didn't have a great experience but it also felt like it might have been a one off. I would give this cafe another go before writing it off completely.

Use to love this place, not anymore!!! Ordered as usual only for the chicken salad to turn up with 2 peace's of chicken and the ham and cheese sandwich with no cheese and a peace of ham that was not even half the size of the bread. Rang straight away and was told they were really sorry and that they would sort it out and to give my name because Uber wouldn't give me a refund unless the restaurant rang them. Rang up to order again and the girl very clearly didn't tell manager at all because he didn't have a clue but then was offered some free chips in replacement for a £25+ order. Told the manager this was the last time we will be dining there or ordering takeaway (because we'd already ordered again) only to be told "ok bye". Really poor service UPDATE!!! so our last order came wrong as well and was told to ring back tomorrow lol

THE BEST VEGGIE BREAKFAST I’ve ever had! A small place so you usually do have to wait a little but it’s worth the wait. Staff great, music great, lovely atmosphere. So happy we found this little place. It also seems to be where all the cool people hang out so I’m officially cool now .

I would honeslty give this more stars if I could. I saw this on a website for one of the best coffee spots in Leeds and I wasn't dissapointed! We were sat straight away, the service was amazing, she was so attentive and as soon as anyone needed her she was straight to them. The food came out really quickly and it was actually phenomenal. I had salmon and cream cheese ciabatta and my husband had pancakes and bacon and we were both in heaven! We then had honeycomb cheese cake and I would return just for that. We ordered an extra two portions to take with us because I don't think I could go through my life not tasting that again. Would 1 million percent ignore the ignorant sods that are giving low reviews because I get really frustrated with bad service and bad places to eat but this was amazing!

I've visited twice in the last few weeks and cannot fault the place. Plenty of meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. I've had the homemade warm banana bread (which is delicious), the residence granola and the residence avocado on toast - ALL very tasty! Staff have always been very friendly and I've managed to get seated with my dog both times. Making this my local breakfast spot from now on.

Second visit here today for breakfast and what a breakfast it was! Love the brioche French toast, Soft And sweet, not too eggy and served with delicious crispy smoked back bacon and a huge helping of maple syrup. The American pancakes were fluffy and great quality. Delicious bacon and maple syrup. Lovely coffee, speedy friendly service and a great atmosphere. As an American breakfast fan, this did not disappoint and offered better quality and value for money than almost every place in the city centre and is worth making a trip for, but get there early because I know it fills up on a weekend. The sign on the wall reads Eat what Makes you Happy. The food here made me very happy.

Started coming here for lunch and coffee in the last couple months. This is now one of our favourite places to go for lunch! The food is absolutely spot on, presented in such an attractive way and of course delicious too. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The last couple of visits we have been served by Scarlet and we could not be happier with the service we have received, she was so helpful, especially with a couple of requests we had such as allergies and sitting outside. Would recommend this place to anyone, it won’t disappoint!

Me & my partner found this place on Sunday morning looking online. It was that good we came again this morning and brought our two children and my grandma along. We had a full breakfast. It is one of the best cafes we’ve been to and would 100% recommend! The cafe itself is very clean and organised, very nice inside and have quiet music on which we liked. The staff are very friendly and polite. The service is on point. The food is beautiful, very tasty. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu very soon! Thank you, we all thoroughly enjoyed it :-)

Coffee was nice but I was very disappointed with the food. Ordered the large Merida plate of Gyros (chicken & pork). The chicken & pork was a selection of fatty, very thinly cut, small, fried to death pieces. I found it difficult to stomach The pitta breads that came with it also had a strange ‘fried’ taste to them. Overall, it didn’t taste fresh.

This is the first time I've visited this place. I went in with a friend of mine for breakfast which was very disappointing first of all the size of the breakfast for the price definitely not worth £10 plus when you get a fried egg and it's not cooked properly along with a poached egg all I can say is the chefs need to retrain I will definitely not be visiting here again disappointing to say the least

Being a fussy eater،i came in with high expectations.being a vegetarian I was hoping my food doesn't smell like bacon! It didn't! they delivered! The food was lovely. presentation was beautiful and the place looks nice and cosyhaving a baby I feel welcomed enough to pop in for a coffee by myself or take the next work meeting there or even a cheeky cocktail night with my friends! loved it definitly will be back

Took the family here for a Saturday morning breakfast in Feb. Parked on side street very nearby. Lovely wee place (walk up only, no bookings unfortunately), really good cooked breakfast with range of meat / veggie / vegan options, all served with friendly staff. Oh and very reasonable cost too. What's not to like?! I've also taken away a recommendation for Richmond vegan sausages, bonus!

Visited Residence 74 for the first time yesterday and was very impressed by the quality of the food, the beautiful presentation and the really friendly staff. I had the vegan burger which was lovely, my friend had the veggie halloumi burger which she said was delicious, and my other friend had the wagyu which was equally as impressive! Amazing cocktails too! Would highly recommend Residence 74, it was well worth the short trip out of Leeds city centre ☺️

Super lovely place, great dining area plenty light coming in though the large windows, nice outside dining space too. Fantastic vibe and feel about this place, I had a lovely breakfast with sourdough bread and the cappuccino was up there with the best I have tried. The staff are so lovely and efficient. Can definitely recommend highly and I will be back to try the rest of the breakfast menu and of course have another cappuccino.

Had a full breakfast and coffee etc... Absolutely lovely food, quality ingredients. Friendly and clean. They could do with a place twice as big as it is so popular. Well worth a visit . Note they now have another place in Headingley too.

My wife and I are regulars here, we eat in and order delivery. It's become our go to during the day. The food is fantastic quality, i'm always amazed when my poached eggs still have perfect yolks on delivery. The staff a super friendly, the coffee is great, and the atmosphere is welcoming. After seeing reviews on trip advisor me and my friend went Sunday lunchtime. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and sat down. Service was fantastic and the menu for breakfast/ lunch is excellent. We couldn’t believe how good value the food was and the coffee was also great. For 2 of us dining it was £25 including 3 drinks each. Will definitely be visiting again :)

Me, my wife and daughter went for breakfast this morning and we couldn't have been happier. The food was incredible as were the drinks. Best coffee I have had in ages. Staff were brilliant and we even came away with two "Pupcakes" for our two dogs which they seem to be loving as I write! Will definitely be visiting again. Also after finding out they do Uber eats is a game changer!

Celebrated my wife's significant birthday here recently. Staff were friendly, attentive and amenable. More importantly the food was first class, served timely and well presented. The food prices for the excellent quality food are very reasonable. I've always experienced a quality experience here, whether be breakfast, morning coffee or evening meal. Would highly recommend.

A very much needed gem in the community. We were lucky to go pre-lockdown and it was a wonderful bar. We're super lucky still to be able to pick up takeaway which is just as delicious as before. Staff are wonderfully accommodating, catering for all dietary needs. Food is perfect with a great menu. Atmosphere is spot on. Couldn't ask for more honestly.

Stylish new addition to Cookridge. Very friendly staff, felt appreciated and welcomed! Food was good quality at a good price. We had 2 full English breakfasts and drinks. Tip would be to offer a replacement item if an item is not wanted for the breakfast.

Didn't have time to eat, but was fortunate to get the most delicious hot chocolate I've ever had. Beautiful interior, comfortable and snug, fantastic menu, helpful and lovely staff, Great place, thanks guys x
