Extremely poor service that i received at the hot food section. I asked the ladies to give me chicken gizzards however i was told that they are too expensive and i should go to the coffee shop. I told them what exactly i wanted about she persisted to tell me to go to the coffee shop at the back and showed no interest to serve me. This is appalling behaviour. Secondly, when i got to the coffee shop there was absolutely no one there to take my order. This incident occurred on the 19 Nov 2022 between 14:00-14:45. Please train your staff to serve food and keep their opinions to themselves!

Today Tuesday 24th November I visited Richdens Spar Supermarket imagine my horror when noticing that I was being scammed by the store .I had bought few items so it was easy to keep an eye on the till . A melon coating R 29.99 was rung up at R39.99 two lunch bars @ R8.99 rung up at R9.99.. Of course when I challenged the prices after a lot of muttering they were corrected .I asked to talk to the manager who just hung her head and said sorry with no conviction .Believe me people in a computerised world this is a scam of note and any pensioners discount is recovered by the Spar scammers

This has been my regular supermarket over many years. I usually find it quick and easy to get around and some of the staff are nice and friendly. (I know who they are). I was really surprised to find only two cans on soup on the shelves - and that's one if the few things I wanted. What's with that? Both cream of mushroom. The ready made food is quite ordinary - unless you eat sushi. They never ask if you found all you need. You guys realise how much competition there is around? This is hard for me to say as a former happy regular.

Well stocked, very clean and great service. Since the Andersons took ownership recently, it’s always good to see Marc on the shop floor talking to shoppers and personally attending to concerns. My work has also been thrilled to find the establishment most helpful in preparing food packs (up to 200 at a time) that we distribute during health education sessions in the community. The food parcels are generously spec’d for what we’re paying for them and are always ready on time. A business well worth supporting. Thank you, guys!

I bought a quiche here,savoury,bacon and mushroom. However,the bottom was so soggy and undercooked it was mush. To make matters worse,the pastry was a sweet short crust pastry that's used for desserts,not in a savoury quiche. As a result of combining the utterly sweet desert crust with the savoury toppings,it was just a disaster which went to the bin. Was really the worst quiche ever,and at almost R50,one would expect it properly made.

I was very disappointed with the service or lack thereof my family received on Sunday 11 November at the restaurant. We had to wait 25 mins for our order to be taken and that was only after I telephoned the store management and they came to intervene. Please note that the restaurant was not even that busy. Unfortunately it took a further 40mins for our food to arrive, by then the restaurant was only 1/4 full.

The place is nice and clean as you would expect from a supper spar. The peeps at the till are friendly as are the dely staff. The food in the dely looked fresh even at 17:15. Our roast veg was supper tasty. The only issue was the slow service at the dely. I'm not sure if it was the time of day or if I was just unluckey but it took, what felt like forever, to get what I needed. I'll absolutely go back though.

Havnt been to this shopping Centre in a while and was pleasantly surprised. The bottle shop is getting a remake in a different, bigger section of the building and the Cafe (inside the spar) has been beautifully redone with big open windows. It is alot quieter compared to the other surrounding shopping centre's but is lovely if you just want to stop in for a quick no-nonsense shop and bite to eat.

I have just received goods delivered by Richdens spar all the way up in Drummond. My list was done with consulting me during this time of the lockdown. my emails and calls answered without fuss. It was a 4 day wait due to their extensive demand.. But well worth the wait To Marc and his team keep up the great work Thank for going out of your way to accommodate me Kamal

After having a bit of a hiccup with the pizza I was furious, however, compliments to Marc who went above and beyond to rectify the issue. He graciously offered us mtiple pptions to choose from and his service was fast and it's clear they put their customers first. I'll see you soon again! This review is made against the backdrop of the food shortage caused by the looting madness gripping KZN. The owner/management of this Spar opened a little early to allow us to do some essential shopping. Things were calm and controlled and it was a pleasure given the surreal circumstances we find ourselves in. Thank you so much for your ubuntu. Bless you.

A popular shop that continues to draw clients with their decent specials, senior discounts and other initiatives. Staff are friendly and queues are short, a consistently pleasent shopping experience. While parking is often a concern in the main section they do have a below ground parking with the entrance on Hospital Road which provides convenient access.

I found the staff very helpful clean pleasant and the management always willing to assist you for example I wanted some horlicks spoke to the manager within 2 days was in contact from the store my request has arrive that service always prepare to satisfy the customer and they have the best Portuguese tart pleasure to shop at Richdens superspar

Under new management. After discussing an issue with them, they sorted it out in less than 48 hours. It's now a great place to shop, grab a cup of coffee and have breakfast or a snack. It's clean, well lit, well stocked and management is friendly and helpful and they respond to their customers. Overall, a pleasant shopping experience.

This Center is beautifully designed in the most simplest way and the location of this top level SUPERSPAR here is evident of how they wanted to attract more feet here. From the moment you step into the doorstep to the end shelves everything is so well organized. Great food prices always at Spar and incredible human beings as usual.

GOOGLE GOT THIS ONE WRONG!!! "Consistently dirty. No social distancing practiced. Avoid if possible" - The comments were for CHECKERS at the Checkers Corner Mall. RICHDENS IS A SHINING EXAMPLE of social distancing, very very clean and extremely helpful staff. Do shop at Richdens, its a pleasure.....

I ordered platters and although most of the food was good I was disappointed that the wors on was smaller than what's on the booklet and they came on small toothpicks and they were suppose to come on skewers as displayed in the booklet. Otherwise everything was great and professional.

Didn't receive senior citizen discount on my (expensive) trolley on Tuesday. Maybe the cashier was too busy gabbing in isizulu to her colleagues and forgot. Will probably use other stores from now on. Staff efficiency and friendliness are what keeps customers coming back.

Appart from the perpetual parking challenge at the Centre the SPAR itself is alway well stocked, with lots of specials, sufficiently staffed with capable and competent people. Never been excessively busy when I've popped in, so overall a pleasant experience every time.

Superspar Richdens have a delightful reasonably priced restaurant at the back of the store. Their range of stock is wider and better than most Superspars in the area. A comfort range they do have which brightens morning coffee is Cape Cookies almond and honey rusks

Really not happy with the changes. Just come from Spar and I'm so disappointed with the way it looks now. Half open boxes, butchery is empty with empty shelves, fresh produce quality has really dropped... standards have really dropped. We wont be going back there!

Claen welcoming ...Good bakery as I said lacks in 100% rye bread..convenient generally efficient staff though I did encounter a staff member at the roast chicken section laid back this last Saturday evening...Too end off your roast chickens are great taste

A rare experience nowadays, where the tellers and packers greet you with a smile. Great new look and the revamped restaurant has a glass exterior wall making it look so much brighter. Minus 1 star because the butchery is sometimes not well stocked.

Clean, well staffed, nice setup, good variety, and the Cafe is great- good food, friendly staff, great service. They are always on the ball, even opened up the Cafe for us one eve. The deli has some great delicacies; just above-board all round.

An employee named Khosi helped my mother today as she has had major surgery. He helped her throughout her shopping experience and showed such kindness and professionalism. This man deserves a promotion. Thank you Khosi - 5 stars just for you!

Great service, Andile from the fruit and veg department went to get a trolley for me when I saw my basket too small for what I was buying. He didn't even hesitate. Cashier and packer also so friendly, just a lovely experience. Thank you

Not of the same standards that many of the other SuperSpar's have set. You would think with all that competitor activity in the Hillcrest Town Centre that they would be trying harder to give a more pleasant all round experience.

Despite everything that's going on currently, this amazing shop still managed to serve us all with all their dedicated workers..I was in a 3 hour omg queou but it was all worth as I managed to get enough essentials. Thank you

A star for convenience, and a star for cleanliness. There are never enough tellers. Sometimes someone to help pack bags. Sometimes the shelves are fully stocked. I generally drive to waterfall Spar because they get 4 stars.

One of the best Spars to shop at. Watercrest Spar is nearer to my home, however the shopping experience is not comparable Richdens. Nice and bright, isles well stocked and have good space. Very pleasant shopping experience

Glad to know the business hours have been extended. Store could do with a bit of revamping though, there's still a huge difference between Richdens and Knowles....but hopefully the new owners will improve the standard :-)

I had a damaged bank note which the Richdens Spar very kindly allowed me to use.. not something which happens easily in a retail establishment.. all at 7am on sun morning + the Steam Cafe coffee + service was excellent

I believe there are new owners and you can see the difference. It's nice and clean and the produce has improved dramatically. If I'd had time. I would have tried the coffee shop - its had a revamp and looks marvellous

Offers the usual wide range of produce and other that superspars offer. Never the best price but offers convenience. Has some nice treats (pastel del nata must try). Parking is always an issue for this centre however.

As usual nothing to grand at richdens, usually more pricey than other stores. Not a great baked or cooked selection. But over all a decent store and decent shopping experience. Great big aisles which are always nice.

I was so disappointed when shopping on Christmas Eve that no Christmas carols were played over the intercom. Why is this? Are we going the way of America where we are not allowed to acknowledge Jesus Christ any more?

Was a long drive but since my regular spot has removed their staffs ability for Pro Choice, it is a pleasure to shop where ones choice is respected whether employed or as a customer. Clean and well stocked shop!

In my opinion, the best Spar in the country. Staff are great, store always looks immaculate and management are actively involved, unlike many retail stores. There is also a nice mix of other stores in the mall.

Iv been coming to this store since 2000, it has changed alot over the years. But it has always had good people and good service I can honestly say in the past 21 years iv not had a single bad experience here!

A very good spar with wonderful staff. I have also seen lots of improvements since the new management took over. I often get the premade dinners to go from here and they have always been very good and tasty.

Unfortunately special prices advertised were not charged and only because I questioned it was I then charged the correct price .... Advertised 2 for R20 and I was charged R14.95 each .... Big difference.

Management and staff at Richdens Spar are always very friendly and helpful even going so far as to carry your bags down the stairs to the carpark. Very clean store with everything beautifully displayed.

Richdens Spar has been a part of my shopping routine for over 20 years now, it feels like home. Love the Management team they have there at the moment, they go out of their way to help their customers .

After new ownership, staff are unhappy. I can see the difference from previously owner to this new owner, seems like he is not management material. Prior to this, the atmosphere at richdens was vibrant.

Would like to thank staff and management. Bought pasta sauce in a bottle dropped by mistake. So kind my products were wiped that were in the packet and did not have to pay for another sauce. Thank u

The staff were extremely courteous and helpful the aisles large enough to shop comfortably, without bumping in to fellow shoppers and prices pleasantly competitive to other supermarkets in the area

Bought cooked rice but it was half cooked had to take it back. Chicken curry was more of a potato curry. Spar supermarkets are known for their well tasty meals but not this one

I'm three for three here for mouldy products from the butchery. They give your money back like it happens often. Little spar across the way way in INFINITELY better.

Marc Anderson, the new owner is very obliging to assist his customers and has made the store very attractive. Staff on the whole are very pleasant too.

Clean and well stocked, but what sets it apart is the wonderfully spacious aisles. That allows for a pleasant, uncluttered, easy shopping experience.

This store has become very expensive. Items marked "ON SPECIAL" have been found up to 20% cheaper elsewhere and NOT on special. It's time to move...

It's nice, clean, and has a good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. They often a great variety of pizzas, deli foods and bakery options.

The store seems a bit chaotic and disorganized. But good selection of bakery goods. Not as many health foods as expected.
