Only thing to change is the manger that was there 2/17/2023 around 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM. As always food was good. The waiter was great too. We were a family of 4 adults and two kids under 7. Two adults ordered all you can eat ribs with fries each, the other two ordered all you can eat catfish with fries each and one extra baked potato. Our kids picked off of the fries only. When I ordered another round of catfish, my mother in law wanted more also. I told her, lets both eat off my round since we both originally ordered all you can eat catfish so that, if we don’t finish it, we don’t waste a second round. A few minutes after a random employee brought that second round, the waiter told us the manager decided not to serve us anymore unlimited items because we were sharing. Reminder: my mother in law and I were eating off the same second round of catfish because we both ordered unlimited catfish. Kids weren’t eating catfish, and the other two adults who ordered unlimited ribs were not eating catfish. The waiter told us that he tried explaining to the manager how we ordered but the manager wouldn’t hear him out. We asked the waiter to bring the manager over to talk to him. The waiter came back and said the manger would come in a minute. The manager never came and talked to us. While we were walking out, we saw the manger standing by the kitchen door, not talking to any employee, or doing anything at all, just standing. But once we got close he turned around and walked into the kitchen. That is bad customer service on that managers part. He made a decision based on a false accusation, and when asked to speak to him he ignored the request. Perhaps he was embarrassed he was wrong? If you’re in customer service and you’re wrong, the best thing to do is retract your decision. I do not agree with the saying that “the customer is always right. In this case, we didn’t even get explain what we felt was a simple misunderstanding. SMH.

Very reasonable menu pricing. Good food! Check the bar area seating availability! We were there on a Saturday around 12:30pm which was one of the peak busy times for this restaurant and the area. There was a wait time of about 30 minutes for a table. The host by the stand outside of the restaurant wasn’t really helpful. He was a bit slow on taking people's info and communicating the waiting and what to expect next. We decided to check out the bar areas to see if there were any open seats or tables available. We found out there were 4 tables (each can seat 4 people) and 3 of them were available, so we went back to the host to cancel our table with him and just sat at the bar area. Wish the host would tell people about this info and not just leave those tables open while there was a wait line for 30+ minutes. The bartender who served us was very professional and quick. We got our drink and food orders taken and received them within a very reasonable timeframe. The portions were very generous. An order of Risckey's Famous Combo Full Smoker (3 meats - $19.99) has plenty of food to share for two people. One of the meats we picked was beef rib, and we received 3 pieces. With just this amount of beef ribs, if you go to other similar restaurants, you would probably already be paying over $20 just for these 3 beef ribs (or the equivalent amount of meat); let alone we also got two other meats and 3 side items. They also have AYCE (All you can eat) beef ribs for $14.99 for very hungry guests! Overall, other than the issue with the host, we had a great dining experience and would definitely recommend Riscky's to anyone visiting the area!

Service was horrible and I mean horrible. There were several people hanging out at the hostess stand when they probably could have been waiting tables. We came in at about 615-630pm on a Saturday and there were not that many people there. That should've been our first clue! It took forever for the waitress to take our drink order. Then it took her a long time to take our food order. My wife got a bacon wrapped filet and my son and I got the all you can eat ribs. The bacon on my wife's steak was barely cooked. She also ordered a salad with her meal that NEVER came. The first round of ribs that came out were ok. They were meaty and juicy, but the second round, not so much. They were tough to get the meat off the bone. Oh, and that second round of ribs took awhile to come out too. My son and I ordered at the same time and they brought out one plate. I let him have it and then waited around for mine. Finally mine came out and we requested the check. Unfortunately we didn't get to voice our concerns to the manager. My son is Autistic and was overstimulated and ready to go. That's not the restaurant's fault, but I do wish we could've brought it to the manager's attention. Maybe the waitress was having an off night or she was new, but the service was still pretty bad and the food was just so-so. ***EDIT*** Got a message to email the manager and did so. I did not get a response.

I went here since I was in the Stockyards and thought I’d give it a try since it’s over 4 stars and 1000+ reviews but I regretted my decision. It wasn’t bad by all means but it was mediocre at best I would rank it below even Spring Creek BBQ. I’ve had better BBQ in the DFW area. I got an order of burnt ends and it didn’t really taste like anything, it looked really good in the pictures though. I also got an order of chicken fried chicken and also the 2 meats plate with pork ribs and brisket, the chicken fried chicken was decent but the entire breading came off when i tried cutting into it and thats a huge peeve of mine when eating fried chicken. The pork ribs didn’t taste that good at all, the brisket was kinda dry and to lean for my liking, mac and cheese just tasted like boiled noodles. The best thing there was the sampler appetizer platter but then again anything taste good when you fry it. Was really hoping this place tasted better and im pretty let down from the experience. I was told by a waiter that they get a lot of out of towners there that come from different countries idk about you guys but I would be pretty let down if I traveled from a diff country and had this as my first experience with TX BBQ.

After going to see stand-up comedy we just started wandering around looking for somewhere to eat. It was getting late. We chose Riscky's and it was a great first experience. There were very few people there. Caesar, a super friendly server, took care of us. Love the western vibe, especially the decorative tin ceiling tiles. Even the tables are neat looking because of how they've been worn from so many arms and plates being on it. I had a pulled pork sandwich and my boyfriend had a brisket sandwich. The meat was amazing! Such a perfect smoked flavor. I liked that they gave us barbecue sauce on the side so that we could add how much we wanted (unique sauce). The macaroni and the fried okra were average but still tasty. Lots of food options and several side options. Reasonable pricing. The Texas tea cocktail is the bomb! Definitely a place well be returning to.

We went here on sunday Aug 6th around noon with a party of 7 and a baby. It was a 45 min wait which was fine. Finally they call us to a table and it was only for 6 and a baby. We said we told them 7 and could we just add a chair and the hostess told us no and that we would have to get up and wait for another table. So we get up and wait by the front hostess stand as she said we would be next for another table. Another employee then came up and told us we had to wait outside...in 100+ heat...with a baby. The hostess was rude as could be from the momebt we walked in. Needless to say, we went elsewhere (Coopers Old Time Pit BBQ) to spend our money. Will never go there again due to the rude attitudes of the front door employees. Coopers was awesome! Food was amazing, prices were great and seating for all! There was even a UNT event going on at the same time and there was still seating and parking! Go to Coopers instead.

Easily the most demeaning experience of my life. Beef ribs were tough. Went to tell bartender as she asked me how everything was. I said meat was a bit tough and undercooked but before I could get it all out she yelled out I "should order food I understand " maybe I would want " some pork ribs" cause bbq has pink in it and meat with pink not undercooked. Before I can say a word she gets manager and he starts in On how people order food they don't understand all the time so they can just give me some pork ribs. Meat was tough and I had all you can eat all I wanted was some more ribs. Not to be ridiculed and told I don't understand BBQ . I can only imagine why they assumed I would want pork ribs and assumed I needed to be explained to that beef can be eaten with pink in it. Bartender and manager acted maliciously , demeaning , and dismissive and I wouldn't recommend anyone going to this location. They need to be terminated immediately

The waitress was great, friendly, full of fun and kept our drinks full all evening. The food was very good. Try the brisket bites, they are just as good as they sound on the menu. I had st Louis style pork ribs, delicious and falling off the bone. Everyone left completely full and most of us with a doggy bag( dog ain't getting this one). It was a great place to relax ànd unwind after my daughter's graduation. (I have a less favorable review in mind for Weatherford college and the 2 1/2 hour graduation ceremony, ugh!) All in all, I would definitely recommend Riscky's BBQ with much exuberance.

Hostess was unprofessional, dropping f-bombs the second we walked through the door. She asked if we wanted a boring server at a table or a boring server in a booth. Got seated but never got served. Waited nearly 45 mins and no one even came to our table even though the restaurant wasn't busy. 5 tables seated after us were served drinks and had their food orders taken, and still no one had approached our table. I went to the bar to ask to speak to the manager, and after 15 mins the manager still had not come to speak with us. Then a lady came up asking if I worked there...she wanted to speak with the manager as well...she said her salads were rotted on the plate. At that point I decided I no longer wanted to risk eating at Risky's. We went to Heim on the River and had our wonderful BBQ in less than 5 mins. At least the night was not a complete loss...

First off I really enjoy the downtown Fort Worth atmosphere. This city is very nice, not overcrowded during the week. And has lots of great restaurants. Riscky’s was a very nice location which had spacious inside dining. And also had outside dining tables as well. Kinda wish we would have ate outside to enjoy all the city lights and tall buldings at night. Food here was very delicious, the appetizers were tasty Ex: fried pickles, fried corn, fried onion strings. And I personally tried the southwest salad which was also very delicious and something I had never tried on a salad before. Staff was super friendly and new how to take care of a table. Will definitely try this place again on my next visit to ft. Worth.

I am not usually one to leave a negative review, however that changes today. I’ll save everyone their money and recommend going to PANTHER CITY BBQ OR HEIM BBQ. I’ll start with a positive and tell you about our wonderful server. She was attentive and kept up with us the entire time we sat down. Our cups were never empty and she happily grabbed whatever the table needed. The beef ribs were dry/tasteless and had the consistency of a bicycle seat in my mouth. They left the membrane on and there was more fat than meat. The side Mac and side potatoe salad would’ve been better out of a bag or box and also tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days. I wouldn’t wish this food on my worst enemy. Very great service though!

Found out about this restaurant by asking a local, what's a good BBQ spot to eat at. They suggested "Riscky's Bar-B-Q", if I wanted some really good BBQ. My wife and I came here with our hopes up, to get get some good tasting BBQ. I was blown away with the BBQ, but not in a good way. I was expecting the chicken and ribs I ordered to be full of flavour, boy was I wrong with my thought pattern. The food itself did not have any flavour besides just being cooked with a little to no salt or pepper. It was only when I add BBQ sauce to my food, I had some flavour. Management saw my frustration and let me switch to a burger. Overall the service is great! Management and staff do a great job at making sure you are happy and satisfied. The food itself on the other hand, is a no go for me. I probably would not return unless, I was in a mood for a burger and fries.

This place has a charming atmosphere and is located in a great location in downtown fort Worth. The problem with this barbecue restaurant is, Texas is full of REAL barbecue restaurants that take barbecue as a religion. If you compare this place to places like Terry Blacks, Pecan Lodge, or Slow Bone solely off of barbecue, Risky's comes up short every single time! Those places just do it A LOT better! Now, they did have something that was better than almost anything I had the week I was here in Texas... Fried Oreos! Jesus Christ these things are good!!! They melt in your mouth! Being from the north I've never had anything like this. Now I see why people eat fried butter down here. So with Risky's, stay for the drinks, stay for the atmosphere, and the Fried Oreos but when it comes to barbecue, other places just do it better.

We stopped for the all you can eat RIBS!! Well the ribs were over salty unfortunately as a BBQ man I was a little let down. The ribs were soft and tender but I was lacking the true smoked BBQ flavor. I did like the brisket bites, the coating was nice and crunchy, very well coated and they give you plenty on the plate! The Shiner Bock on tap was good and cold which I enjoyed! The bathroom was really tiny, crazy shape but did the job. I liked the chili cheese fries we ordered, definitely plenty of flavor hot and fresh. I don't know if I would come back. Probably not due too the over seasoning of the meat. I like the buffalo heads on the walls, Kool look but just not good enough to come back! Maybe worth a trip. But I wouldn't repeat it. But it was good overall besides the over salting on the meat! Good luck folks

I have had a great experience with the Riscky’s in downtown Fort Worth. I brought my family from Stamford to the Stockyards this past Saturday 12/9/2023 and brought them to the Riscky’s in the Stockyards because I told them the food is good and it being in the stockyards well I expected the food to be great! Needless to say the appetizer, brisket bites were delicious however we ordered two T-bone steaks and I am pretty sure we were given the flank steaks and they were tough! Not what I expected or what I expected to pay for! My bill was $124 and not worth it for flank steaks when I ordered T-bone steaks! I was very disappointed and embarrassed for bringing my family to a bad experience!! Lesson learned!! Please do not false advertise on your steaks anymore and give people what they pay for!! Thanks!!

We couldn't find a restaurant that would seat 25 people...UNTIL RISKY'S!! I called in hopes it was possible and Darryl said he would MAKE IT HAPPEN!! My daughter turned 14 today and Risky's made her celebration possible. The wait staff was so attentive and EVERYONE was so kind and polite. From the host to manager we were treated like kings. Even after we added a late family to our party. There was no change in service and our family and friends enjoyed themselves. The food did not disappoint. The burnt ends were to die for and the Mesquite shrimp is enough food to share. I am beyond grateful and COMPLETELY SATISFIED with everything from tonight. You really moved mountains for my baby girl. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Horrible customer service they ruined my order I repeated my order multiple times on the drive thru, they gave me what ever they wanted, I ordered the 2lbs brisket family meal, and guess what they only gave me 2lbs of sliced brisket for $51.00 totally absurd, the family meal with sides is $59.00. I had to get down from my car and go inside and had to pay an additional $19 to get my sides. I told the cashier that I wanted the family meal and he just ignored me and I had to order the sides as a new order. The other workers heard me tell him that he got my order wrong and nobody cared. I’m very disappointed will not come back or recommend this BBQ to anyone.

Found this restaurant on the Yelp app, this restaurant has a great location. Very closer by the Main Street area and plaza. The host found me a table and suggested me the classic margarita. I ordered the three meat platter but I forgot all about the ribs. However the meats I ordered were tender and savory and the portions of the food were big and generous. I wish the bbq sauce was a little more smoky and spicy but that is just my personal preference. The server was very patient and the food was served fast and hot. The restaurant was busy and the staff was nice and very observant to customer needs. On my next visit I will try the ribs!

My wife said to give a 1 star, but because we did take out, there are a lot of factors Riscky can't control so I give it a 2 star. Having said that I probably won't come again at least for pickup order. The first problem I was I ordered online at home and was told an estimated time which I came on time, but had to wait 20 mins extra. I get it that its an estimate but it made me be a little late picking up my wife. We ordered the shrimp platter and the beef ribs and chopped brisket. The shrimp was rubbery and had a weird off flavor. the ribs was chewy. brisket was more like mashed brisket. some of the sides were ok (coleslaw, mac and cheese, potato salad). The quantity of food is a good amount, but the quality and the price isn't. I would say overall we had a poor experience.

  • Christopher Wyland

Overall... Meh? It was okay, I guess. Ribs came out at room temp and the Texas toast was cold. The Mac and cheese side was pretty good and it came out hot, so that's a plus, but the bottle of bbq sauce was also pretty warm, which was weird. Ribs were very tough and hard to get any meat off of them, but it was all you can eat for like $17 so quantity over quality worked out OK. Place was nice enough, but the tables were crammed really close to each other and people frequently had to move their chairs to let waitstaff get past them. That's all I guess. 3 stars, I would like some more of the Mac and cheese though.

This was the saddest BBQ I have ever had in TX. I could do better with horse meat and a pan of hot water. The brisket tasted like a hungry man microwave dinner drenched in sauce, after the flavor was rinsed off. This is a great place for folks who had Covid and lost their sense of taste. The margaritas were watered down and made with country time and a smidge of tequila flavor. Obviously, another chain that get by on name alone and not quality or customer service. Whatever you do don’t ask to sit outside with more than 2 people it will only confuse them. A touch less confusing is changing to the inside. If you lack faith in humanity this is the place to confirm it.

Me and my coworkers came from the inspirational convention that was over the weekend and we came here since it was right across from the hotel and we came around 8pm on Thursday. I’m not giving the 1 star on the food because the food was great, it’s was the service that sucked, Taylor was just horrible. She was no where to be found, our drinks needed refills so another employee refilled our drinks we asked for togo boxes and still she was nowhere to be so I got up myself to get the togo boxes, and than I saw her vaping by the togo plates, silverware and pitchers. So I guess vaping was more important than taking care of customers.

This place lacks attention to detail. The lemon wedge in my ice water still had the sticker on it. My side salad had plastic wrap stuck to the plate from being stored in the fridge. My brisket tacos had a mountain of fried onions strings on top, so many in fact that I couldn't find the brisket. So I removed most of them and the tacos were fine, the brisket was good but nothing extraordinary. My mom's pulled pork plate featured a giant glob of inedible fat. Service was great though, our server checked in often. Wouldn't visit again.

Came with friends on Memorial Day and I really wasn't impressed. The portion size is terrible yet they call them platters. When I spoke to the manager about it he said they weigh everything and that's why it looks skimpy and did absolutely nothing to change our experience around. The macaroni and cheese and red beans are completely tasteless! Ignore them at all cost. The ONLY thing that was up to par was the meat, the chicken fried chicken, smoked sausage, and ribs were all very well seasoned and smoked and for that they will receive 3 stars. Otherwise you're better off going to somewhere else for better service and portions .

  • Tristen Harris

Brisket sandwich, mac and cheese, and red beans I got extra lean on my sandwich, I found it to be lacking enough smoke flavor, in my opinion. The meat was plenty tender and no complaints on the moistness. Mac and cheese seemed very standard but not up to par of the other local places. The bbq sauce is not appealing to me either. Again, in my opinion its too sour, not smoky enough, and bland. Red beans were good, hate to say this but they were star of the show. Prolly wont come back when there are so many other great options in town

Erika was our server and she made sure to make us feel so welcome and like we had known her for years! She was very polite and took care of all of our needs. I hate giving a 3 star. Place was half filled while the other restaurants around had lines outside: first sign. Straight to the bar I went. Ordered BBQ sliced brisket sandwich and a beer. Beer good, but I found a bug in it ( may got in there after I already had it; don’t know). Brisket was overcooked, dry, and too much salt in the rub. I mean it had good flavor, but the salt was overwhelming. BBQ sauce was great, want to take some home. I may give this place another chance in The future. I hope it gets better. Atmospheric was very cool. Location great. Please take this as constructive criticism.

  • Tom Wightman

The food has to be some of the worst I have ever tasted. My beef brisket sandwich was incredibly dry and salty, another member of my party’s salad was just a pile of leaves with 3 pieces of chicken on top (no dressing) and the fried were soft and chewy. Despite this, the service was excellent and the lady that looked after us was very attentive. Please give her a raise, but fire your chef - anyone could do better.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. We got the all you eat ribs and they were extremely hard. We were also told they get complaints on the ribs often after we payed ‍♀️ We also got the smoked sausage and they were just regular sausage you’d get at the store. I got French fries with my meal and they were cold. Our group of 6 didn’t get a single meal that we enjoyed. I did like their fried corn! Would probably recommend getting anything that’s not bbq.

Maybe it was because of the Fort Worth parade of lights happening downtown, but this was not a good experience. I have never been to this restaurant. I saw them on The Travel Channel, so I figured it must be good. I ordered the signature beef ribs. Those were the toughest ribs. if i didn't have a dentist, i would have needed one. They also didn't have alot of seasoning. The pulled pork was also tough and not pulled. The coleslaw tasted store bought.

Our service was good and the atmosphere was nice. But the food flat out wasn’t worth it at all. Texas BBQ it was not. The sliced brisket had no bark and was flavorless. The smoked sausage was like they went to your local grocery store and bought whatever they had on hand. Now, the catfish unfortunately wasn’t any better, bland and flavorless. Now I understand that name Riscky’s, you are taking a risk going in there….

Enjoyed their sliced brisket sandwich which is one of their many lunch specials. The food, fries and mac and cheese were delivered quickly and hot. The brisket was moist but lacking flavor. Their bbq sauce was served warm in a large glass bottle which had really nice flavor. The mac and cheese was only one or two steps up from Kraft. Overall an enjoyable meal. I would return here again if someone asked me but wouldn’t go out of my way for this place.

Me and the wifey wandered around Fort Worth Stockyard ( first time here ) cool atmosphere and we wanted some steak. We saw Riscky’s Steakhouse and found out it was one of the oldest restaurants in town. So we decided to try it, Jessica was our server and she was very sweet and knew what she what she was talking about. Tried the Texas Twosome, it was very good and filling. Great atmosphere, it was nice and cool inside from the Texas heat. Great experience, will be back!

Tried the 3 meats platter today. 4 pieces of pork ribs, 2 cat fish fillets and 2 slices of brisket with sides of red beans, mac n cheese and fried okra, for $28. The brisket was too dry and too little. The baked cat fish was drier and leathery. The ribs were okay. The best part of this pricey thing was the sides. Vanilla choco lava cake dessert was good. One platter, 2 sodas and a dessert for $60. Not happy. Service was good.

Atmosphere was great! Service was pretty good. Didn’t care much for the food especially the sides but also the meat. I had brisket and ribs. It was not that great to me. I also tried to cover it with barbecue sauce because it cost a little too much to throw away, but they only have one barbecue sauce, which was mediocre as well. My sides were macaroni and green beans. They were still sitting on the plate when I left out of there. I can imagine you go here if you just want a fun night with friends.

Me and bf just came from here. I’ve been wanting to go for some ribs. We got there, host sat us. And we waited for 20 mins and no server came. Like we were ready to order and I was a bit parched. No server came and a new couple just came in to sit and their server got there in less than 3 mins. Me and bf walked out and no one said anything or asked or what. We tip well, I got cash specifically but I guess I have to bring it somewhere else. ‍♂️

Let me start by saying that without their bbq sauce, their food would be nearly inedible. The fact they dont provide you a knife unless you ask for one is overconfidence in their food. Their ribs are dry like jerky. The brisket is still congealed/fatty and doesnt separate easily. Their smoked catfish was the worst. Very dry/overcooked on top and still a bit raw/hard to separate on the bottom of the filet. The beans are barely lukewarm, and the other sides aren't much to talk about. This place looks good for beverages and nothing else.

  • Eg X

The waitress who took care of me was the sweetest woman ever. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and so close to the heart of Fort Worth Downtown. I got a basket item, which was on the smaller portion of things and only good if you're not hungry. It tasted okay, I think I should have tried a sampler to get a better understanding of their bbq. However, the brisket was still tender and I enjoyed it.

Had a really good bbq dinner here. The portions are generous and the service was great. Tasty brisket on the combo plate and the stuffed jalapeños were very good. Fun atmosphere and friendly looking bar. I wouldnt mind grabbin a drink there at some point. Check them out for some solid bbq and apps.

As hyped up as the brisket was (picture perfect as far as looks) something was up with the taste and quality the day we went. It was slightly too bitter and much too savory. My colleagues too did not finish their meals.. first time that's happened going out for BBQ. I hope the next time I return to the Great State, quality control people step it up and not just rely on history and name. Three stars for the Brisket Bites, they were the most incredible appetizer to date I have enjoyed. Coming back just for those

  • Blanca

I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was good nothing spectacular. It comes with one barbecue sauce flavor. I was not impressed by the potato salad. I’ll still come again to try some of their other barbecue in the future. The staff was extremely friendly and the bathrooms were well-kept especially since I was there on a very busy day

This place used good, don’t know what happened. Maybe it’s just this location but off the bat they were short staffed which is fine, it happens but the service was still bad. Me and my s/o both had a side that required a fork and we didn’t receive one. I had to ask for one and they only brought us 1. Leaving my bf to eat his with his knife. At one point ALL of the workers were in the back and about 5-7 tables were left unattended for about 6-10 mins. There’s much more to the story but that’s too much to type.

Absolutely love this restaurant! We are from Colorado, but travel most weekends. We are always looking for the best local restaurants. Hands down, Riscky's is our favorite in Ft. Worth. Today we visited Riscky's for the 3rd time in 2 years. The food is good ole down-home fare. The vibe is quintessential Texas Our server today was Hugo - his attentiveness & kindness made for the most enjoyable evening! .. I must add that the pecan pie was surprisingly scrumptious! We will be back!

  • Thomas Ringwold

Came here on Monday, was sick all day Tuesday. I got the pork ribs, def overcooked; but I figured Idd still eat. After a rib and a half in, it just didn’t taste right. Mac and cheese was ok, something that I would expect from cafeteria food. Personally I will not be back. But if your looking for cheap food, then this place is probably good for you, just as long as you have an iron dome for a stomach.

Food solid, atmosphere decent.. but the thing that makes this place amazing and why I went each night of my time in Fort Worth. The staff particularly Jody, Sam, Carmen and Ashleigh... they were amazing! And even that is an understatement each one of them deserves a raise or a paid vacation or something because they really did go out of their way to make the experience wonderful and my group had 10 people the first night and 11 the second. So Jody, Sam, Carmen and Ashleigh. Thank for being so amazing!

  • Michael Rowell

Service was great. I have tried Risky's several times over the years, tried multiple menu items. The best I've ever had is "ok" food. Today I ordered the beef ribs. They were over cooked, tough as shoe leather. They left the membrane on it back leaving a nasty rubber band to eat around. All that, and they really didn't have much flavor. The pecan pie was good.

Absolutely outstanding! This is the first time I've had the 3 meat plate. My, my...what a bunch of wonderful food. The manager came by our table to see if all was well. What a kind man. I had a complaint to which he intently listened. Simply...the meal was more food than I could eat. That gave him a good chuckle! And oh...their sweet tea is the best too. I encourage you to go Risky's and enjoy the food, service, and atmosphere!

Can just say delicious brisket. Also if you order the steak tips half of the plate is just fried fat. Very tasty still but half fat and half meat brisket. About $14 bucks. Then don't get the ribs not horrible but taste like if it was sitting out underneath a lamp all day. Fast seating and friendly staff. Mac and cheese, potatoes really all the the sides delicious. Tasty tacos. I'll be back again.

Food was dreadful. Pulled pork was dry and salty. The fried fish must have been precooked and then stuck in a microwave as was like a piece of leather. The salad was a pile of limp lettuce leaves with 2 cherry tomatoes. What a joke! The server was very good though. Very attentive and friendly.

I tried the beef ribs. Extremely tough. After two dry and tasteless ribs, I sent the order back. They clearly had been cut hours before, lost any juice that might have been in them and were sitting in a warmer. Would not recommend getting them. On the upside, the bartender was attentive, made great drinks and provided excellent service.

Best Beef ribs I've had ever no lie. Also had Brisket bites for our app and they were also amazing. I would highly recommend Riscky's if you are in Fort Worth. Wife say her two sides, mac and cheese and green beans, were good as well. She had bbq shrimp, said they were a little tough, and they took them off our bill. The BBQ sauce was amazing, on the sweet side which i prefer. Over all great experience, when back in the area we will definitely be coming back.

I don't know where the almost 5 stars come from but I took a leap because I wanted some smoked chicken. Well, after living in Memphis for 11 years I was looking for something close to what I was used to. This isn't it. Not even close. The chicken was smoked but flavorless, the macaroni and cheese and okra was just okay. The potato salad tasted like it came from the local store. Won't be back. Customer service was okay.

Do not Recommend. We stopped in on our vacation and the only thing that was good was the cat fish. The brisket and the ribs was not fresh! It was obvious they warmed up old meat that wasn't cooked today. I hate to say we will not be returning. But on a positive note the waitress was nice.

Well, first the good parts: Erick was an amazing waiter. He was very kind, quick, and attentive. The brisket bites and the fried corn were absolutely delicious and the drinks were big. The rest of our food wasn't that good. My friend's steak was cooked well (medium rare) but minimally seasoned, the chicken fried steak was okay but a little salty, and the brisket wasn't up to par. It's a convenient location though.

Good old fashioned BBQ served in a modern family friendly restaurant. Portions are huge, but they do offer smaller dished for those without a big appetite. The homemade warm BBQ sauce they serve with their meats is fantastic, as as the Texas fries they sell with jalapenos and onions. Well worth a visit if you are close by! Service was really friendly and they can accommodate large tables without booking.

Pros: conveniently located and appropriately rustic location; hearty lunch sandwiches. Cons: some puny sides (like the coleslaw shown); pricey for noted sandwich plus puny side ($16 with a drink); took 30 minutes from placing order to food delivery. 3.5 stars if that was an option - it's okay, but not one I'd specifically recommend.
