We brought our 10 month old son for his very first check up and had such a wonderful experience at RDD! Booking appointment online was very simple. We were met by the very lovely Arnell who made us feel welcomed. The process of signing in as new patients was a first for us as it was all done easily on an iPad! I appreciate how it asked us about patient history and current routines. We had a consult with Dr. Kollen, who is also very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. He gave us a tour and it will just blow you away how bright, clean, and well-equipped the place is! TVs to distract the little one and to display pictures that were taken with a camera pen (didn’t know there was such thing!), x-ray room... you just get the feeling you’re in a good, safe place. He and Tracy were so kind and patient to my son which I believe was what made the appointment go so smoothly. He taught us how to properly brush our baby’s teeth. He also took his time in helping my son get accustomed to some dental tools. It was also very sweet that he offered my son a toy from a gum ball machine (how cool and fun is that!!) I never thought going to the dentist would be so comfortable. Dr. Kollen and his staff made us feel very well taken care of. We look forward to our next appointment and we can’t wait to go for ourselves too!

My first visit to River District Dentistry exceeded all expectations. I saw Dr. Calvin Biddle and highly recommend him. I chipped a tooth on Wednesday and made an emergency appointment to have the tooth examined Thursday morning. I really appreciated how easy it was to make an appointment online given that I was not already a regular patient. I arrived for my appointment and within an hour my tooth was fixed!! I think it is also important to admit that I have an irrational fear of dentists and typically avoid them until absolutely necessary. I was asked beforehand if I had any previous bad experiences with a dentist and if going to the dentist evoked anxiety. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival to find that the team was so accommodating and supportive throughout my entire appointment. I was super anxious, but Dr. Biddle put me at ease and stopped to check in with me throughout my procedure to ensure that I was comfortable. I was so impressed with the entire experience that I booked a cleaning and exam for myself and my daughter next week. We have absolutely found our new family dentist!!

Where do I start! What an amazing experience from start to finish. These guys are extremely thorough, dedicated, warm, friendly and professional. State of the art, beautiful facility. Staff is very nice, but Beware. Paid 1.5k to get a crown done, and advised me pay extra to get a gold crown to prevent possible complications. Scott did my crown. The crown sat too high, and to compensate, they grinded my good tooth to repair their original job. From another dentist, they said it's a hackjob repair. The crown sat too high, even after repair... the crown tooth was under pressure too much, and created nerve damage. Now I will need to pay 2k+ out of pocket to get a root canal and then after that, I will need pay again to get my crown redone. This Dentistry will do whatever it can to not spend to fix their bad work. I gave them so many opportunities to repair my crown properly. I went there 3 seperate times for adjustments. 1st time they grinded my good tooth, 2 times after that they grinded the gold crown... doesnt make sense, and they still dont own up to it. Warning... I told you so.They don't care of negative reviews, because they flood their reviews with positive ones by buying out the customer with potential trips.

I live in the area, so the location is very convenient for me. This office has been a great addition to the area. Not only was is it convenient, but the quality of service and customer care is superb. I was very satisfied with my visit , it was definitely one of the best overall experiences that I've ever had at a dentist. The facility is up to date with the latest technology, and everything is digital - no paper forms to fill out in the waiting room, you are able to book appointments online, etc. I really appreciate that because it cuts down on paper waste, and also saves time as I was able to fill out everything before my appointment at home. Dr Kollen is very patient and thorough. He took the time to explain everything in detail and answered any questions that I had. You don't feel rushed, and you feel like there is genuine care for his patients and his practice. The staff were all welcoming and great as well. I highly recommend this dental office!

The clinic looked inviting in the waiting area. The facility looked very modern. Dr. Biddle explained in detail about what the problem was with my troubled teeth, X-ray showing on the TV in front of me. I’m happy I will get scanned to have crown mould, instead of using plaster stuff in my mouth for so many minutes. This will be comfortable for me. I liked the TV on the ceiling. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hygienist was through and carefully cleaned my sensitive teeth. My teeth felt so clean and I was told I didn’t bleed much, which was a sign of good dental hygiene. The clinic will have a new scanner that the doctors will be able to get crowns done while you’re there, not having to have temporary crowns, and come back to have new crowns put on, saving so much time and effort. I feel very good about leaving my dental health and treatment with the team.

I had a really bad toothache and I was able to book emergency exam for 7:30am the next day !! It was also my first time at River District Dentistry and I’m very pleased. Dr. Scott Kollen, Brooklyn (dental assistant) and front desk Amanda and Jesse were all very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. Dr. Scott Kollen took the time to explain my X-rays, his concerns and what he was doing while working on my tooth. He even squeezed in a tooth filing on another tooth on the spot ! I have always been super terrified of going to the dentist but it went so smoothly that I went for a teeth cleaning right after as well ! Victor, dental hygienist, did an amazing job. He was super gentle, I never felt any pain, and went it by really fast. Overall the River District Dentistry has an amazing team and you should really book an appointment now !

The staff was very friendly, fast and professional! I was booked in for a check up exam a couple days before the appointment on short notice and the staff walks you through what you need to provide (forms, insurance information, etc. ) The clinic is easy to locate and was very clean. The exam required taking various photos and x-ray shots of my teeth, which the dentist assistant finished quickly and smoothly (staff was experienced operating and the machine themselves were new and scanned so quickly.. technology woah). Then follows a sit down session to go over the conditions and treatment options with the dentist and nurse. Dr Kollen and Tracy were both extremely knowledgeable and friendly - this was a really pleasant experience! Although being a busy clinic, I was able to book for an open spot within the next few weeks.

Having been waiting for this practice to open for so long now, I was not disappointed. From the very prompt e-mails prior to my appointment for reminders and asking for insurance to the welcoming smiles from everyone there. You get to fill out your forms on an iPad , and while you are in the chair, you get Netflix! So pick a show and enjoy! They have really thought about incorporating relevant technology and making their patients comfortable. Dr. Kollen was excellent, I liked that he was very forthcoming with information (going over x-rays and photos and explaining everything very clearly), very chill and relaxed demeanor, and for those who are scared of dental offices he was gentle. Would recommend to anyone :) Keep up the good work everyone!

Just moved to the area, and needed a new dentist, and I couldn't be happier with River District Dentistry. I've never had a dental experience quite like it, all in a good way. First, it is a very clean and state of the art facility, with friendly and engaging staff. The exam was more thorough and comprehensive than anything I've ever had before, which taught me things about my teeth I didn't even know I wanted to know. Dr. O'Donnell took great care in explaining everything to me in a kind and professional manner. I'll say that I was hoping for a hand decent dentist close to my home for convenience, but I ended up with an incredible dentist, that best I've ever had, who happens to be down the street from my home. Win-win!

The whole process was smooth and efficient. My first visit was for an assessment and cleaning. Forms are sent via email to fill out before you arrive. Upon arrival, you are taken for a tour of the office. All the staff are friendly, caring and great listeners. Pictures of your teeth are taken with multiple devices (not so pretty up that close!) which are reviewed with the Dr right after. Then x-rays are taken with state of the art equipment and once again reviewed immediately after. The Dr effortlessly comes up with a plan to address any issues and follow up sessions are booked. Then in for cleaning which was relatively comfortable considering, with a ceiling TV to keep your mind away. A quality experience all around.

Amazing! The service is exceptional and extra covid care made me feel safe going for my visit. I must admit I haven't been for a bit but the investment in the equipment here provides the best in the latest technology for my oral healthcare. Quite shocking really. The doctor takes 3D CT, xrays and color pictures and then spends the time going through absolutely everything with you so you fully understand and provides you with choices. It's great being part of the decision making process instead if just being told whats wrong and having to trust that. Now i can see everything thats being explained. Thanks Dr. Kollen for creating such a progressive office and great experience!

I had a teeth cleaning, and oral examination done. My cleaning was done by Dental Hygienist Shannon, and she did an excellent job. The before and after pictures were incredible (seeing as it had been years since I'd been to the dentist) ... she was extremely knowledgable and friendly. My oral examination was lead by Dr. Colin, and assisted by Nikki, whom both were very informative. They knew exactly what was going on with my teeth and offered helpful and realistic solutions and suggestions on how to proceed. It was definitely a pleasure. The facility was very clean and the environment felt very COVID safe. Thank you guys, I'll be returning to here for all my dental needs.

Such a wonderful experience here, thanks to Dr. Kollen and staff ! Booking an appointment was easy and their reminder system was very helpful. I always get anxious before a dental visit, but once you step inside this clinic, you’re welcomed with friendly staff! I absolutely love how clean and modern the interiors are; it feels like you’re in an episode of black mirror (white walls, high-tech equipment and some futuristic feels). I had some xrays done this day and Dr. Kollen went through each photo/scans thoroughly and answered any questions/concerns I had. Highly recommend this place and they even predetermine your insurance and bill directly for you.

What an amazing experience! The office has all of the latest dental technology and it is super modern and clean. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. They put all my worries to rest by answering my questions and took the time to get to know my dental history in depth. I had a cleaning with Shannon who was wonderful. Nothing hurt at all, which was a first for me (I have really sensitive teeth). Dr. Kollen did a more thorough check-up afterwards. He was super nice and very approachable, it almost felt like we had known each other for years! I have always been nervous at the dentist and this time I wasn't at all. Highly recommend coming here!

The front office staff were very welcoming, Erica had me set-up and ready to get to business in my dentist chair very efficiently! The place is spotless (modern), excellent COVID-19 precautions taken (temperature check, masks, sanitized patient area, nobody waiting in the waiting area, etc) This office has state of the art equipment, very knowledgeable staff, and it was an overall pleasurable experience! Dr. Kollen and his assistant Akshita provided a thorough walk-thru of my current status, explained all of the dental jargon, and also provided me with the information I needed to improve my oral health! I definitely recommend this clinic! Amazing!

Every person at this dental office is kind, professional and so warm! It was our first visit and my 5 year old was instantly at ease and completely comfortable, much to Mommy’s surprise! The office and treatment rooms are new, beautiful and meticulously clean. The xray machine is modern, easy and comfortable for kids! I was even able to watch him get his xrays, from outside the glass door. First impressions are important and the one we got today made me feel grateful and confident about choosing this doctor and office to care for my little human! This was my first experience with Dr. Scott Kollen and Tracy his extremely gentle dental assistant at River District Dentistry. From the moment I was greeted until the moment I left there, I was completely relaxed and very well looked after. Every single person in the practise is professional, polite and so friendly! For me, terrified of the dentists office, this was a truly amazing experience. I am so at ease with getting my dental concerns corrected here that I am no longer fearing my next visit! I would have never considered writing a review for a dental office, but this office is exceptional, through and through!

I’ve been a patient at River District Dentistry since 2020. Overall my experience has been decent however at my last appointment I was charged a extra $100 for a missed appointment. I had a work emergency and was unable to get out of work but I made sure to call and cancel my appointment with 3-4 hours notice however I was still charged. I understand the business has a policy that I may be charged if a appointment is missed but If you ask me that’s just the cost of doing business. I’m also pretty sure they try and fill short notice cancellations but I was still charged. Unfortunately I will not be back!!

I recently started seeing the team at RDD after suffering a broken molar. I called them the day after it broke, and their awesome reception team was able to get me in that day. I was definitely anxious to visit, as it's been an embarrassingly long time since I had visited a dentist. I live close by, so it's a very convenient location for me to walk to. The office is new, clean, bright, and they even have Netflix for you to watch while being treated; although I ended up dozing off lol. The RDD team made me feel comfortable, and Dr. Scott clearly explained my broken molar situation. Thank you RDD team!

Absolutely, without question, THE best dental practice I've ever been too. I used to associate a lot of fear when going to the dentist from all my prior experiences with other places, but this place has completely replaced fear with excitement. Excitement for finally pursuing the smile I always wanted (cliche maybe lol). Not to mention how high tech and advanced these guys are and how personable everyone is that works there. You feel extremely welcomed right from the moment you step through the door Seriously do yourself a favor and try these guys out. You won't be disappointed.

Ok so first of all my review is not a reflection of the staff or dentists, I had a wonderful experience here. But after my experience I started to receive emails and texts begging me to review them. 2 texts and 2 emails, kinda felt harassed by what was supposed to be my health care practitioners. Not professional guys and I doubt your college would support this. Let your work speak for itself and Let people review if they choose to, remember you are in a power position as the HCP and your first objective should be to serve your patients not get 5 star reviews.

The office is clean, and has a lovely warm feeling to it. Staff were very professional for most of my interactions. The only downside I faced as someone that lives with anxiety, and had requested a dentist that was trauma-informed (thus why I chose this location, as reception stated they were really good with people with anxiety). I found that in that regard - as someone who practices trauma-informed care professionally, it was lacking. I think this is an excellent office for those who do not struggle with mental health and do not find dentistry triggering.

My tooth cracked (no joke, it was a really old filling from childhood and it just snapped off) while I was eating. I called River District Dentistry and the team got me in first thing in the morning. So appreciative of Dr. Kollen and the entire staff for taking care of me so quickly and efficiently. The nice thing about such a modern office space is all the fancy high-end equipment. I appreciated seeing all the pictures of what was going on along the way and being part of the process so I could understand what needed to happen to remediate the situation.

Had my first visit at River District Dentistry this week. The office was gorgeous and the staff was great! Compared to my previous dentist office, this office is very high tech. They did very in depth x-rays and the hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth! Dr. Biddle was thorough with his new patient exam and he even did a quick filling for me on a chipped tooth. He did not try to up-sell me on any unnecessary treatment, which I really appreciated. If you’re in the River District area I would highly recommend making this your new dentist office!

Easiest 5 stars I could give out to a business here in Vancouver. Been going here for about a year now and each visit continues to be a positive experience. The staff is friendly, professional, punctual, and most importantly… insightful. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing multiple hygienists for cleanings, and all of them have been great. Dr. Kollen is always thorough and easy to work with. Overall, this is an awesome team down in the river district and definitely worth the drive across the city. (You can watch Netflix while they do their thing also…)

I’m a new patient at RDD, needing a new dental hygienist after getting Bioclear with Dr. Kollen at this office in December. Turns out my previous hygienist had no idea how to care for the Bioclear treated teeth even when I brought instructions and a polishing tool provided by Dr. Kollen. The hygienist simply just ignored those teeth. Clearly it was time for a change and I’m glad I made the switch. Had a cleaning with Cindy and she was very professional and thorough. I highly recommend River District Dentistry.

Just moved to Vancouver from Asia and this has been my best dental experience by far. The staff was amazing from initial enquiry over the phone to the hygienist and the dentist. Went in as a new patient and completed the new patient exams and consultation today. What I appreciated is that they took their time to explain everything and share recommendations (was not pushy at all!) for next steps to ensure good oral health. They were also very flexible on their timing which appreciated, highly recommend

I went in for my first appointment with Dr. Kollen since my dentist retired in August. I was extremely impressed by how clean and well set up everything was. He spent time going through a thorough exam and took lots of photographs of my mouth that he showed me where my problem areas are and how to fix them! I would highly recommend this dentist! I was thoroughly impressed with everything, especially the fact that Dr. Kollen took the time to explain everything about what’s happening inside my mouth.

Dr Scott is absolutely AMAZING as well as all of the team at River District Dentistry. I've been searching for a good dentists for years, and Dr Kollen went above and beyond in the first examination, being extremely thorough in checking everything. He made sure I understood every detail, and my teeth cleaning was also a great experience (my teeth have never looked so white and shiny!) This place is fantastic! I have had a handful of appointments here and they have all been informative, efficient and punctual. Dr. Kollen and his great team of hygienists and front office staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great for me and free parking in the underground parkade. They are safe and take extra measures during COVID to make sure you are relaxed and at ease. Their instruments and equipment are state of the art and very digital forward. Highly recommend!

I always hated going to the dentist. But today, my impression of a dentist appointment has changed. Everyone was super helpful from checking in all the way until I was leaving. Tracy was super sweet and explained everything she was doing but also why she was doing it, which is rare. Dr Kolon was super patient and took the time explain what all the dentist terminology meant and gave great suggestions to improve my oral health. I highly recommend them for your next appointment.

Best dentist I have ever been to. Not only did they book me last minute but also took care of all of my dental problems asap (fillings x rays and all). They were super fast and efficient and showed me through close up photos of my teeth what was going on so I could understand what I needed. The whole team is extremely kind and patient and took the time to help me understand my new work benefits and coverage. River District is the only dentist I would book in Vancouver!

I am one of those patients that has high anxiety going to dentists, I also have been having pain in my jaw when opening my mouth, everyone made sure I was in as little pain as possible as they did all my X-rays. The Dentist, Dr Biddle was very gentle and explained everything to me so I understood exactly what to expect. I would recommend River District Dentistry to anyone, especially people who have fear of Dentists!!

As I new patient, I was able to get a last minute appointment for an increasingly painful toothache. Dr Kollen and his staff were all amazing - very professional and friendly. He diagnosed I needed a root canal and was able to get it done the same day. I was particularly appreciative of them explaining the costs for each thing to me in advance and not pressuring me to make a decision right away. Would recommend this practice to friends and family for sure!

This dental office is really disorganized, they don't really communicate well internally. Overall, they do not provide the best customer service. The office manager, Anna does not speak to client in a professional manner on the phone. She was almost yelling and blaming me for their mistake...I have been to many dental offices and the admin staff in this office are very unprofessional... It gave me a bad taste in my mouth and I am a new customer......

My three year olds first time at the dentist and she LOVED it here. From the friendly greeting we got from reception, (they invited her back to get a special prize), to the hygienist who put on her favourite show and also have her cool sunglasses to wear, to the dentist who was friendly , quick and gave us great advice. She absolutely loved her first dentist experience and now WANTS to brush and floss. She will be excited for her next check up!

I went here for my son emergencies check up without appointment as he falls in the concrete and he’s tooth got chip and still bleeding. I am very happy that they accept me without hesitation and help me out. They’re trying to check if there is a time available for us to see a dentist and i am happy that they could give me a time to see and check my son’s tooth. And i am happy to hear that the results isn’t really bad and nothing to be removed.

We needed a family dentist for my wife and baby. Booked an appointment and throughout the process, from first contact to walking out of the office, post appointment; each and every member of the staff provided consistent excellence in service. The office is bright, brand new and the staff is exceptional and I hope it stays this way. The only issue I foresee is that once this area becomes fully occupied, is parking. Keep up the great work guys.

I had my very first appointment here this week, and it feels like I went into the future 50 years. Their equipment was top of the line and cutting edge. So professional and I felt really taken care of. They gave me so much individual attention. This felt less like a dentist appointment and more like a teeth retreat! I will recommend River District Dentistry to everyone. Also bonus points for online intake forms, and amazing COVID procedures.

Highly recommend! It's a brand new office with all the modern technology, friendly and organized staff, free parking, and they are following new COVID safety protocols so I felt comfortable during the whole process. Dr. Kollen is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything he's looking for. He uses photos/demos so you can see exactly what's going on with your teeth and understand your options. I am very happy with the services from Dr Kollen and Dr Biddle. They are very thorough with explaining each procedure and makes sure that you are completely comfortable before proceeding with it. The staff all are very friendly and the dental clinic is modern with the latest tech! This is by far the best dental clinic I’ve been to with an amazing and comfortable experience each time I definitely highly recommend this clinic!

Unfortunately, a bad experience for me. I went in with a broken crown. They sat me down for 20 minutes and explained how ALL my teeth have issues- on a large screen. Recommended a series of treatments that would break my bank account. I was expecting the dentist to focus on my broken tooth. In short, they scared me off. I have to admit that their equipments are state of the art and their staff are courteous. Not for me though.

Went in for the standard meet-n-greet, got some x-rays done and had a very brief exam. Went great, everyone there was welcoming and professional. I applaud their COVID precautions - they are taking it very seriously and it's part of the reason I chose them. It was my first time there and I have yet to actually get any kind of procedure done, but it was a good experience and I'm looking forward to my cleaning appointment.

Wow this dentists office is nice! Definitely the most advanced dentist I have been to; on my first visit Dr Kollen created a 3D model of all of my teeth and we talked about each tooth and whether we needed a plan for them. Everything is brand new and I found the chairs very comfortable. All the staff are friendly and Shannon the hygienist seems thorough and efficient. Two appointments down and many more to come!

Could not have been more pleased with the level of customer service they provide me as well as the cleanliness of the office. Dr. Kollen is absolutely amazing! This was my first time there. Everyone was super friendly! Place was high tech and clean. I got to watch Netflix while having my teeth cleaned. Lisa was very gentle too! The receptionist was super helpful with scheduling an appointment for my daughter, who is not too fond of going to the dentist, with a dentist that will fit her needs. So happy I changed to this location!

Always a great experience, third visit and for first time ever , don’t mind going to dentist. Modern immaculate office - always on time never have to wait for hygienist or Dentist, pain & gag free , even fluoride treatment is good. Friendly caring staff. Scheduling all available on line & if needed calling the office gets answered and get things done quickly.

Without a doubt this was the best dentist experience I've ever had. I'm feeling really happy about switching from my old dentist! Dr Kollen, Tracy, and the rest of the team are excellent with the way you're treated from start to finish. Have had the pleasure of dealing with River District Dentistry on numerous occasion since moving from downtown. I have had multiple cleanings, exams as well as a tooth extraction. Very pleasant staff. Clean, state of the art equipment. Showed me that my old dentist office was still in the dark ages! I had Jamie do my cleaning and she was so gentle and made me at ease. I saw Dr. Kollen for my exam. Dr. Kollen is a soft spoken, thorough dentist. He found a cavity so I will be returning to check out his drilling skills.

As an MD with less-than-ideal oral care habits (especially when I’m on call) I’m so glad that Dr Kollen has opened his practice in the River District. I’ve witnessed his passion for comprehensive patient care firsthand, as well as the creativity he approaches his craft with. I would unreservedly recommend his services to my family and friends.

Very professional, great facilities and latest tech, not to mention friendly front desk staff , nurses and doctors makes it an amazing place to get your teeth done. Amazing office very clean! The dental hygienists (fresh out of school most likely) are a bit slow..it takes them 1.5 - 2 hours for a 45 minute cleaning. Just switched over from a different dental office since this one is closer to home.. so just comparing time. Overall, the staff if very friendly and nice so I gave it 4 stars.

Amazing facility, extremely friendly staff, cute gift bag for going there for the first time. Overall 10/10 experience, or 5 stars in this case. I have had many terrible dental experiences and am quite anxious about going so it is worth it for me to drive in from North Van to see this team!

Awesome staff and fantastic setup. I highly recommend River District Dentistry! Under the new COVID-19 guidelines, I felt very safe coming in and having work done. Dr. Scott was thorough in my exam and actually took the time to go over everything with me unlike other dentists who seem to be in a rush. Niki was awesome, she accommodated me as best as possible and was super understanding and patient with me. Victor the hygienist was great too. Excellent experience over all!

Dr. Scott Kollen and his team have been super helpful and friendly. They begin with a thorough examination and addressed all my concerns. Dr. Kollen did an excellent job of presenting multiple options and was patient in explaining what was involved. I'm excited to begin a new journey with a new dentist.

Always a good experience at RDD. Easy to book an appointment within days to weeks. Answer the phone quickly. Gentle, caring, and calm for those who are scared at the dentist. Everyone is great, hygienists, dentists, reception staff. I actually enjoy going, which is a lot to say for a dentist’s office!

River district dentistry is outstanding. They are a very polite and organized staff. I have never had to wait longer then 5 mins in there to go in for my appointment and they setup your next appointment right after you are finished in there. If you are looking for a dentist look no further.

Went for my new patient exam this week after deciding to leave my previous dentist after 13 years. All the staff was very friendly. I did not feel like the dentist was rushing through just to move on to the next patient. Overall I was very happy with my experience & glad I made the change.

I love this dental practice for two specific reasons: 1. the staff are all very professional and so pleasant to deal with, and 2. They have state of the art equipment which makes the appointment experience so much more enjoyable. I would HIGHLY recommend this clinic to all.

Took my 3.5 year old daughter here and it was so easy. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to kids and there are age appropriate things there (books, etc). It was a great experience and helps get my daughter used to going so it is fun rather than scary!

This is a good office and they do a good job explaining the services being performed and how dental health can link to overall health. The hygienist Sumeet was gentle, quick and informative. Office was clean and tricked out with the latest tech.

Our daughter had to get teeth pulled for her braces. Dr. Kollen was fantastic with her. She has a phobia which he was incredibly sensitive and gentle with her. She said he is the best dentist she ever had. Everyone at the office was very nice!
