I wish to thank you for all your assistance for enabling us to put on a fantastic Luncheon for our social group. We had not been able to get together for St Patrick's Day, Easter or to celebrate our friends birthdays occurring in March or April - so we decided to combine the celebrations last Thursday (13th April ) in your beautiful establishment. Leading up to Thursday Lauren had been very positive and helpful in ensuring we had all we needed. On Thursday ,Mark , was absolutely wonderful in ensuring the Function area was welcoming and professionally presented. The 37 of us that attended couldn't believe that we were lunching in such a magnificent space. We were all in awe of the professionalism and attentiveness afforded to us. The food, service and kind generosity was above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of. Our group ,are a group of seniors - many of whom have been widowed or live alone - many experience isolation and loneliness- and to many, the gym we attend, is one of the very few social outings they attend. These luncheons of ours are important for our wellbeing in many ways - contributing to increased happiness. Thank you, for going above and beyond. It means so much more than you could ever know. The oohs and ahhs of people arriving at the restaurent - to the laughter and chatter throughout the day - and the smiles that continued on through to the next day - are all due to yourselves - to Lauren and Mark - and all the other staff.Thank you.

I ordered a schnitzel meal which was supposedly veal and roast vegetables. I got 2 pieces of very thin slices of meat battered in bread crumbs and fried for too long, a half a small roast potato, 2 little chunks of roast pumpkin and 2 longish stalks of broccoli, of which only the small heads could be eaten because the stalks were too tough from being undercooked. It cost $26 and was the worst meal of it's kind that I have ever actually paid for. I was disappointed with this poor quality, poor value meal and would certainly never go to eat there again.

There is a wheelchair accessible path from the carpark but it is so steep that you need someone strong enough to push the wheelchair up to the venue entrance to ensure safety. It would definitely be dangerous for any wheelchair bound person to try and go up the path on their own.

Cannot thank the staff enough for the amazing hospitality at my daughters 1st birthday yesterday. For a large group, the food was absolutely outstanding and served with so much thought and consideration. Everyone had a drink in their hands at all times and felt totally looked after. Special thanks to Loren for ensuring the day went as perfectly as it did. So much positive feedback from all the guests about how much they all enjoyed themselves. The warm welcoming nature of babies/kids that’s received at this venue is also what makes it so comfortable and fun.

Beautiful settings overlooking the golf course and a short walk to the river The food was fantastic, I had the whole flounder with salad and chips Absolutely Sensational .. lovely spot for a nice family dinner regret not taking a picture of the flounder Must visit if you haven't been... great team there... Ordered an entree calamari for $17 and a parma for $28. Overall parma was tolerable, but sauce needs work and cheese coverage sparse. Probably more like an $18 parma. Calamari was almost not worth serving. I gave an opening for the wait staff to rectify, but got "I'll note to the chef, but it is an entree". Frankly would be embarrassed to serve that. Not one to leave negative feedback often, I like to give an opportunity to make amends before doing so but this just didn't cut it. Lucky to get even 3 stars

Meals have been good flavour, my fave was the initial italian veal scallopine, their menu has changed to schnitzel which I haven't tried as dont schnitzels often finding them dry a wknd special Moroccan chicken was very good & hope they bring it back Riverside is a local stop for me walking my dogs for a regular coffee & snack. Love sitting outdoors. Their bruschetta is done on a pizza base and is amazing! The best I have had.

We went for dinner last night Sunday (20 Feb 22) to Riverside kitchen & bar. There were 4 people at our table. We waited over 1.5 hours to be served and then a couple arrived 50 minutes after us and they got served their meals whilst one person at our table had not received their order. Our pizzas were not nice the dough seemed from a frozen packet of supermarket. Not very nice at all. The other two meals (not pizzas) were ok. It's a shame it's a nice location and we are locals, but we will not be coming back!

Unfortunately service remains same as previous owners. Waited over 1.5hrs for food, it wasn't busy. Food came out sporadically for the whole table, some finished before others were served. One person wasn't served for 30 mins after all others served. Had to go to counter to ask for food, no explanations, no sorry, no free drink....anything. Unfortunately not worth the long wait, Chicken burger sloppy, small, not many chips. Such a beautiful location that no-one can get right. A local who won't be going back.

We had our daughters christening here recently and we were very happy with the venue, the staff and the food. Loren was amazing helping us organise the function, she made it a very easy and stress free process. We had about 100 people for sit down lunch. The staff were very accommodating and the function was a success. It is a very nice space with beautiful views. There is also a lot of parking and the venue is easy to access. Highly recommend!

Riverside is a spot for our weekly catch up with close friends. The staff are obliging and always helpful, they could do with one more at times. Food is fresh and honest. Drinks are cold and wine list is small but reasonable quality.

I just ate at the new riverside bar and restaurant in castle hayne. The sandwiches were outstanding. Service was friendly and attentive. I loved the atmosphere with a mix of types of tables. I’m going back next week to try dinner:)

Food quality and portion size needs attention. For a $28 parma I'd expect more than a thin slice of chicken with moist batter which fell apart. I'd also estimate a total of 10 chips were on my plate. Is in a great location with a good atmosphere so I hope their food quality improves soon.

We had 20 people for a communion lunch. Staff were very accommodating with the style of dining we wanted (shared entree’s and main). All guests were very happy, plenty of food, it was super easy, kids could run around outside. Would definitely recommend this for a large easy lunch!!!

The 60th birthday party for our Twin friends held @ Riverside Restaurant was fantastic. The beautiful room overlooking the golf course was a great backdrop for the lunch. The service/food/drinks & staff were excellent. The tables were casually spaces & set very well.Two guitarists played dance worthy songs
