"I'll give it a 3 because at least there is an option for pedestrians and cyclists where they don't have to compete with vehicles and it connects to some nice shopping, gardens, restaurants and museums"

"The walk way is great when it was still accessible and not all broken it should be cleaned and put back to what it was before the high water"
I'll give it a 3 because at least there is an option for pedestrians and cyclists where they don't have to compete with vehicles and it connects to some nice shopping, gardens, restaurants and museums...... However, the trail is not in good shape at all. The high water damage, filthy river, bad smells and side areas filled with trash make it feel unsafe. It's a shame as it really could be an attraction for the city. It's one of the reasons I chose to come to Winnipeg and unfortunately I don't use it unless there's someone else with me.

Best part of Downtown Winnipeg if you want to reconnect with nature and the mighty Red River. The river may look tame and tiny but don't underestimate the power of Mother Nature. Enjoy various activities such as fishing and kayaking but don't think jumping in the river on a hot sweltering day will cool you off. No one will be impressed and people will be disguested if you make it out.
Lots of weirdos. There should be more patrolling on riverwalk to keep out the questionable characters, drunks, and downright scum. Some male in his 50s was on a bicycle yesterday deliberately making loud noise with his stereo system attached to his bike. Like someone cares about the dumb music.
The walk way is great when it was still accessible and not all broken it should be cleaned and put back to what it was before the high water. It is normally an amazing walk way and yes it should be patrolled there is some weird people there sneaking around at times
Nice place to see beautiful winters in Winnipeg, grab a bite or a drink.
