I spilled water on my older MacBook Air and assumed it was a goner and that I would have to dump $1.5k on a new one. I took it in as a last ditch effort and when I spent the $99 for the diagnostic service I assumed nothing would come of it and that I would be pressured to buy a new MacBook like would be the case at many places. I was also a bit worried when they asked me to remove it from my find my app and to give them the password that something sketchy could happen (turned out to be fine). Much to my surprise, they got my water-damaged MacBook to turn on again after opening it up and removing water from some sort of audio compartment and it is now with me and is working fine. They also were extremely communicative and told me that there was water residue in other areas but in their honest opinion I shouldn’t buy new parts unless it stops working again in the future because it’s an older MacBook and because it at least for now is up and running. I know nothing about technology and they could have easily been like a sketchy mechanic and try to charge me for unnecessary repairs or convince me to buy a new MacBook when it is actually repairable but they did not do any of that. They repaired it and were honest and communicative. I honestly would rather go to this shop than a corporate Apple Store because I know I won’t be pressured to buy a new product instead of getting a repair.

A few years back I bought a brand new MacBook Pro from the previous location (Riverdale Mac). A week or so later the screen stopped working, I brought it in to be fixed but it as told “a sensor went off that I’d gotten it wet” which I hadn’t, and they told me they wouldn’t service it (despite an extended warranty/AppleCare). It still booted up and everything seemed to work but the display. When I went to pick it up the staff were rude, they didn’t even want to give me the computer back and when I asked for it they did a whole song and dance about “getting it out of the garbage” (again a 2 week old MacBook Pro). It turns out it still works years later and just needed an external monitor($200 fix). It was probably the single worst customer service experience of my life. It’s probably an isolated incident but I’m still annoyed about it.

I highly recommend Roncy Mac! Grateful to have this professional and trustworthy business in the neighbourhood. I lost all access to my iPhoto library (circa 2015) from a Seagate sync. I read the online threads spending countless hours trying to recover the files and called Apple a few times, but whatever I tried, I could not open the photos, let alone transfer them to my devices. I dreaded all my memories being erased, and this was my last try. The team was highly professional and communicative with me over the time they had my Mac. Unsurprisingly, they could not only locate the library, but backed it up and even kept it over the weekend to allow the 100+ Gs of memories to upload to the cloud. Will definitely be back for future Mac repairs. Forever grateful to this small business for recovering my memories!

In this day and age, consumers have many options in choosing a retail store. On a recommendation from a friend, I chose Roncesvalles Mac as a supplier for some new Apple equipment. I was also partly inspired by their slogan “we speak human.” In a his case, I made an excellent choice. Great knowledge, great customer experience, and outstanding service that was always timely and responsive. They are an outstanding group of people with big brains and even bigger hearts and compassion. I have no hesitation in giving them my highest possible recommendation. I feel lighter for not having hassles or frustration that is too often part of the customer experience. I wish there were more retailers with their evolved sensibility.

I've consistently enjoyed purchasing and consulting Members of the RiverdaleMac Team for 20 years PRN. Me an' Mac got clipped walking by a driver on a phone that bailed quickly; my beloved MacBook Pro 500GB SSD hit as hard as I did dispite it's pack. It was rendered 'blind' instead of me thankfully. Kieran, Jennifer and Mark got a custom build replacement ordered for me. Jennifer graciously kept in touch by email of progress, delivery and data transfer strategies. Data transfer by Nora, Mark and ? at BeachMac was done in Millenium Falcon-like speed 'Kid' in 20hrs and perfect right outta the box working! Thank you all. Especially Jennifer for remarkable Client care, communication, updating and advice.

I have been a customer of Riverdale Mac (Danforth Ave.) for 17+ years and am heartbroken to learn that the Danforth store is closing. I understand this is related to economic issues all retailers have faced in the last few years and I will use the other locations but I am still saddened that my friendly, local Apple product supplier and service retailer will be gone. I have always received outstanding, timely service from staff and much of the assistance has been both generous and free. Staff are knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. The store is the only one of its kind in my area and its closure leaves a big gap in my community.

While I was researching, I stopped into this local shop to ask a few questions. Not only were they answered patiently, given my lack of tech savvy, I ended up purchasing my beautiful upgrade. They loaned me a cord for a couple days, instead of making me buy one i would likely use once to complete my data transfer. When I had an issue a few days in, they took my system, looked it over, cleaned up a couple of things that were likely my fault, and had it back to me in less that 24 hours, no charge! That's why I buy local! Ray and Myles helped me and they were great

I’d like to acknowledge the excellent staff at the Roncy Mac store! They are wonderful and dedicated service professionals. They’re super nice and approachable, and are reasonable with their charges for services rendered. In fact, a few months ago I brought my laptop in with a minor software glitch and they ended up refunding the diagnostic fee after returning it in working condition, because it was an easy fix. I heartily recommend these good people to any and all users and owners of Apple products. Without reservation.

I don't know what i would do without the great people at Riverdale Mac. I recently had a catastrophic accident that rendered my work laptop useless (liquid on the keyboard). They diagnosed the issue right away (it was not salvageable) and recommended the appropriate replacement. Their replacement suggestion (based on my usage) saved me almost $1,000. They managed to save my hard drive and transferred all the data over to the new laptop. I was back online in no time. Thanks Riverdale Mac!

I came here because there were no appointments at an Apple Store. Not only do you have to pay $100 for them to diagnose what’s wrong with your device (it’s free at a regular Apple Store), they told me it would be 2 days to diagnose the issue and it took much longer at 5 days. The repair price was much more expensive than other repair places that I’ve consulted and they diagnose for free! $100+tax and my time wasted. Would recommend going elsewhere or to an actual Apple Store.

At the end of the day, they suggested it was time for a new system (its only 5 years old) Jennifer and her team came up with a great work around at a fraction of the price of a new system. Friendly staff--the owner's policies leave something to be desired. It's been a month since I bought the Macbook Air and the flagship apple store said if I'd bought it there, they'd just replace it as a matter of good customer service. Not Roncy Mac. So that's a week with a defective computer while I await parts to be ordered. Not Awesome. Next time I'll start at the Apple Store--I'd suggest the same for anyone else.

New Air Pod Pros My AirPod pros were suffering from static noise, so I decided to bring them into the shop. I prefer to go to a small shop like this then to have to go to a large Apple Store and be within many people waiting forever to be attended. They made getting my AirPod pros replaced, effortless and comfortable. If you have any Apple issues or want to get some new Apple products, I suggest this store.

You find out how good a business is when things don’t exactly go right. I had some problems with my new iPad that were unrelated to Riverdale, and these guys went above and beyond to help me get everything sorted out. I went here for a repair and ended up upgrading to a much better device. There was no wait (unlike at the apple store) and i got to take my new device home right away. Staff was friendly and helpful.location is super convenient for me.street and green P parking nearby. Came back to buy a device for my daughter. Such a nice experience. Highly recommend.

This place is truly the best! Went in for the first time to get a MacBook display issue fixed, and the team was fantastic. Knowledgeable, patient and so communicative. They managed to repair my laptop within a day. Can’t recommend them highly enough if you’re in the east end and looking for services. They also have a great collection of accessories.

Really great service! My MacBook was acting weird and eventually wouldn’t turn on. RiverdaleMac checked my warranty to see if I needed to pay for parts and/or services, and also communicated with me timely to send me updates on the progress of the repair. The staff is kowledgeable and very nice. I tried to solve the issue for 2 hours by myself and another hour with Apple support. It got solved in 5 minutes at Roncy store at no charge. I will be going in to consolidate my various external drives, photo duplicates and i cloud storage. I highly recommend this place.
