Absolutely horrible! I had a voucher given to me for Xmas to get my nails done. I went into this lovely looking place today to book. Politely I asked if I could make an appointment, No appointments available, I then asked for the Thursday she looked and said no sorry we are fully booked I then asked for the Friday morning and was again told sorry we seem to be fully booked I then asked for the Saturday I was then told why don’t I take your number and if anyone does cancel I will contact you. At this time I just wanted the ground to open up as I knew I was not wanted in the shop. I left the shop and cried I felt so embarrassed. I came home to book online just to see if my unctions were right and YES there were appointments available! Honestly I have to say I’m a well presented woman of 55 and I have NEVER felt so belittled in my life! I have lived and run my own business in the Brockley area for over 25 years So so very sad

What a wonderful salon, recently opened in the heart of Brockley. I visited it on their opening week and I was so impressed. Really warm and welcoming decor and the staff were so friendly. I had booked in for a pedicure which is still looking fab! It’s really reasonable from a price perspective and all the products have been chosen specifically by the owner to make sure they’re as meatier organic/ natural as possible. The little bits that make the salon so charming are the efforts they put into making it a step above the ordinary, I.e instead of using foil to remove shellac they’ve found reusable finger pegs to reduce their waste. I will definitely go back as they’ve got a full suite of services from nails (hands and feet), waxing and eyelash/ brow treatments.

On entering the shop I was greeted by the manager and welcomed by the team. The vibe inside was warm, vibrant and friendly. The treatment took place in a room in the basement. The decor was clean, fresh and relaxing. The Senior Therapist clearly explained the process and answered my questions. Despite comprising many steps the facial felt like a seamlessly smooth experience was calming, gentle and dare I say it, enjoyable. Afterwards I felt fresh and my skin looked great. It's been a week since the treatment and marks have faded and I haven't had any breakouts. Brockley Station us a short walk and there is a bus stop near the shop. I would highly recommend.

I had the pleasure of going to this beautiful salon for a shellac mani the other day.. (I’m 38 weeks pregnant and was in need of a treat!) The salon itself is so relaxing and stylishly decorated. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly.. I had the lovely Fiona do my nails and am so happy with the results. Also, being pregnant I was conscious of not breathing in harsh fumes from the varnishes, but what’s wonderful is their nail varnishes don’t contain harmful chemicals, so no nasty smells! Such a bonus. Thank you Rose and River, will be back soon, with baby xxxx

Honestly had the most pleasant experience at Rose and River today! What a beautiful salon. Instantly walking in I felt welcomed, calm and relaxed. Such a lovely energy in the salon- it smells AMAZING, relaxing music and gorgeous set up! My treatment (eyebrow wax) was done by the most lovely person I wish I got their name! They were so calming and gentle something I’ve never had getting my eyebrows as it always seems so rushed but they were so great you could tell they really cared and gave me the eyebrows I wanted! 100% will be going back in the future. Thank you SO much.

The friendliest and most beautiful beauty salon I've ever been to! The team are so incredibly welcoming and helpful. I had a brow and lash tint booked and upon arriving Louise asked if I'd like to have a brow tidy as well and the outcome was absolutely perfect- she took so much time and effort to ensure a brilliant result. I have very fair skin and hair which is always tricky to colour, but Louise did the most wonderful job- I look like I've got false lashes! Cannot recommend the place enough and definitely won't be going anywhere else in future!

I had a great pedicure and gel manicure here but unfortunately when I went back to have the gels removed they've totally ruined my nails. They barely soaked them for any time at all and then filed them off instead of scraping them. Really weird technique but as it's such a posh/nice salon I didn't question it at the time. I've come home with scratched, rough nails which are now totally breaking off (I've never had this problem after gel removal elsewhere). A real shame as it means I definitely won't be going back.

Absolutely beautiful. Been a long time since I've got my nails done but when I have in other shops ive found staff to be slightly stressed. Often rushing from customer to customer. Rose and river put time and effort into you. Make you feel wanted and valuable. Staff are very friendly and gentle. I was saying to the lady that did my nails today (wasnt sure on her name) I'm finding it hard not to fall asleep (because I feel so relaxed) my children were welcomed and comfortable. Ill be back soon ❤

I'm such a fan of the gorgeous Rose & River, such a friendly and calm environment. I've had two amazing pedicures with them, pre & post lock down! The nail varnish colour choice is so good, and boy does it last!! I've just returned from the loveliest facial, thank you! I love this place, such a calm and relaxing feel - so much time, effort and thought has been put into making the interior the best it can be and it has definitely paid off! Fiona has honestly given me the best gel manicures I have ever had, she gives so much time and attention and I can't stop looking at them whenever I have them done. I will never go anywhere else again for a manicure !!

I've been a fan of Rose and River since they opened their doors in April this year and I didn't think they could get any better, but they have! The wonderful Lucy now offers facials! I went for one earlier this week, and I can't recommend it enough. Erica, my beauty therapist, was very knowledgable about the product and process and I left with my skin feeling amazing!

I’ve been going to Rose & River for over 6 months now and love this place. Everyone is friendly and the customer service is excellent. I’ve had waxing and a pedicure which have both been of quality service. I’ve seen 3 different waxing therapists and they’ve all been clean, efficient, and most of all painless! Really happy to have discovered this business.

I am SO happy this place opened up five minutes from my flat. I've been disappointed by every nail salon I've tried in the Brockley area and this place is genuinely the best salon I've visited (and I've been to a lot). Friendly staff, GORGEOUS salon, reasonable prices and long lasting manicures! I highly recommend.

Louise gave me a fabulous gel manicure on my first visit to Rose & River and I'll definitely be going back in a few weeks to change colours. The owner Lucy was very welcoming when I arrived and made me feel both relaxed and comfortable. The decor is lovely and has a chilled modern vibe.

Very very friendly salon! And such a calming atmosphere I felt so relaxed. Had a gel manicure done and it was perfect. Also a really nice choice of gel colours. And very good price. Love the lotions they use too and the equipment. It’s really nicely done. Would highly recommend.
