Friendly neighbourhood bookstore with an attached co-op, popular with the locals. There is a dog called Echo, who watches over things, lovely. Second hand books are available in good condition, great setup for kids. Proceeds go towards refugees and other charitable-related things, so it's just as much a social enterprise. And there's currently a chocolate popup in residence from Meltdown Artisan with a 'Just' bean to bar chocolate that is sustainably/ethically made to a high artisanal quality.

What an awesome bookshop. Amazing selection of second hand titles in great condition and at good prices. The shop has such a great atmosphere, with comfy chairs, and interesting bits and pieces throughout, including random items found in their second hand books. The owners and staff are really knowledgeable, lovely people, and Echo the bookshop dog is adorable. A fabulous community hub, with such a great vibe. I love it.

If you are visiting the mountains (or are a local!), check this place out! A real gem! The new store location is just the best: artisan chocs, comfy chairs and a community table hangout space, artwork by local artists and LOTS and LOTS! of books for the thoughtful reader, including kids' books, rare books and hard-to-find books. A unique store in a 'class of one's own'.

Rosey Ravelston is a magical local bookshop with a fantastic range of books, new and secondhand, which are in great condition. All of their books are also available online which makes it easy to browse and grab whatever you want. I've bought too many books already but unlikely to stop! Lovely guys who run the place and you can't forget the gorgeous Echo - the dog.

I received my order today, and the books were in excellent condition. There was also a small handwritten note included, which I thought was very cute. The prices for the books are reasonable, especially considering that this bookstore donates 50% of its profits to charities. The packaging was also recycle paper filler or the zero waste bag. Thank you, Cath + Zac

Perhaps the best Bookstore, with the best prices, in the Blue Mountains and beyond. Well worth visiting just for the magical labyrinth of books, you can hire the bookstore as your own with wine and food and a follow a trail of clues. A wonderful place to visit and buy books where 50% of their profits go to refugees... gotta love that.

A perfect little corner of the world ( or Lawson), for book nerds. This bookshop is fostering so many community connections, and good vibes. Great sekection of books, soecial orders, events and support for so many projects. Echo, the bookshop doggo, is just the cherry on the top of this beaut space.

We did the Bookshop of Ones Own experience and I'd give it 11/10. The food was great, the treasure hunt well thought out, and the book selection spot on. A real pleasure to meet people who are as passionate about making the world a better place as Zac is. Would highly recommend!

  • Safdar Ahmed

This is an amazing bookshop and social enterprise which admirably gives a percentage of their profits to refugee charities. The shop is run by lovely people who are committed to making the world a better place, so definitely worth a visit on your trip to the mountains!!

What a wonderful bookshop! Ordered just before Christmas- it wasn’t a gift and I wasn’t expecting it before Christmas Day but it ended up coming super quick. Included a lovely hand written note from the owners. Would recommend as a delightful place to buy your books!

RoseyRavelston Books offers an amazing range of excellent quality second hand books, a smaller but highly curated selection of newer titles, and an environment unlike any other bookshop. So welcoming and cosy, and with so much to look at, you’ll never want to leave!

  • Adam Baus

Great books for your mind and your wallet and profits help refugees! Their shop is cute and tiny but punches above its weight. And no pressure from the owners, just take your time and make the right choice. Many more books online. Also great badges.

This is the best bookshop ever! It's wonderful owners are so friendly and will go to the ends of the earth to help you find what you're after. We also did the 'A Bookshop of One's Own' and it was easily one of our best dates. Amazing cheese

  • Emma Raymond

Best date night! Loved the event, “A Bookshop of One’s Own” where you get to browse the shop alone with your date on a Saturday evening and enjoy a delicious platter of local foods from Lyttelton Store. It is Australia’s smallest bookshop

  • Josh Maroney

I ordered a book for one of my uni courses and it arrived less than two days after I ordered it. It was well packaged and protected, which is nice, most of the books I get on Amazon are damaged and beat up. This one was in perfect

Rosey Ravelston is a wonderful bookshop. Run by the most warm hearted, generous people. They champion local authors, good causes, and love their costumers. Co-owner Zac Quinn is also a talented author.

They are champions for the little guys and so accommodating and helpful. Whenever I need a gift I hit them up and if they don't have it, they order it in. So easy and it makes your heart feel good.
