"Awkward experience, I walked in and I’m immediately greeted by the Loss Prevention guy (cool, he’s doing his job), I smiled and walk past him, I walked over to the juniors section but since one of the employees was filling merchandise/organizing I wasn’t able to browse comfortably, she kept switching rows quickly so in order to not disturb her I would move over to the other side, the loss prevention guy immediately came over, glared at me and then look at the employee and asked her “are you doing okay?” Him staring at me made me feel uncomfortable, I’m just trying to shop comfortably since I arrived here! For starters, I’m not a thief, I can afford clothing a Ross and if anything, the purse I had is a very small purse that can only carry my purse, car keys and a couple of credit cards nothing else"
Currently at the store and I’m so livid, I’m writing the review as I’m leaving. It is currently 9:22PM and this store closes at 11. The old woman in the fitting room saw me approaching the fitting room and let me know the fitting room is closed. AT 9:15? A whole hour and 45 minutes before closing time? As someone who WORKS at another Ross location, I know for a fact that’s not true and/or allowed. I heard her tell another employee, who was about to let me in the fitting room before the older woman saw me, that “I have too much stuff to finish before I go home so I’m closing it” and the other employee simply laughed. Manager on Duty was not helpful about forcing the lady in the fitting room stay open. She even made an announcement saying she was closed and then let 2 people go in (one was my sister) after she told me no. From one Ross employee to the rest, stop being lazy. I know the rules, I’ve worked at Ross for 2 years now. I had 7 items in my hand, all of which I planned to purchase for my trip next week and immediately put them all back after she told me I couldn’t try them on. Over at least $120 wasted because people refuse to do their jobs. Not to mention all of the ladies on the sales floor/register were rude and could care less about engaging in conversation/being helpful. WillowBrook Ross, get it all the way together. I’ll be making my call to corporate in the morning about your fitting room policy and specifically on the employee because I heard her name :)
I walk in with my family (husband and my son 7 years old) thinking on buying Him a full new closet, because He is a kid and well his clothes barely fit Him anymore. Just to walk out with nothing! Angry and ashamed! Never going on this or any Ross store again! The security guard told me that I could go to the fitting room so my son can try his pants on (I already started put in on Him ) on top of the ones he had just be sure of the size and I told Him thats ok, its just this ones! To make sure its the right size and not having to argue with my ADHD child in the fitting room! From there scalated to Him calling so they will say in the speakers & when my husband ask if he had to do that? He went asking that what was the problem? That if he wanted to fight? And so on!!! I told Him we were leaving and went back to look at his name tag and He said that I was trying to touch Him and trying to grave Him while covering His name tag and asking for back up. I wasnt yelling at Him, cursing or even trying to get close to Him anymore just trying to look at His name (Boykin). As we walk out He keep saying things and acting like if we did somenthing to Him wen we did nothing! And then someone who I am asuming its the manager Untoya proced to scream to us get out! Im not expecting macys, nordstrom or nimans kind of service on ross but this is just ridicoulos !
Yesterday 8/26/2020 which is Tuesday. As usual my sister took my Mom to shop at Ross store since Tuesday is a senior day for 10% discount. I don't want to disclose the person's name who check my sister out and the manager name. (the clerk is dark complexion Spanish lady and the manager is a black male). When my sister waiting in line with my mom waiting to check out, both the manager and the clerk were gossiping or I may call it flirting. The Spanish lady already scanned 3 items since she witnessed my mother was there. she kept scanning and scanning while my mother walked away to sit on the chair while waiting as she can't standing too long in line. She did not even apply 10% discount but also giving us the reason my mother walked away. What a shameful & twisted logic logic? She told us to go ahead to file a complain as she said she does not care. I go back to store to confront with the so-called manager, he has attitude with me and insisted he will not apply 10%. I returned them all right away. I can't tolerate such bad customer services. (This is not about 10% discount, this is a principal since the clerk witnessed my mother was there during the first 3 items she scanned them) I hope the headquarter can train them well as they are working front line customer services).
Not friendly customer service here at all. The lady working the fitting room did not greet me and had a very rude and bothered look on her face. I asked to use the restroom and she did not acknowledge me. She just turned around and pressed the button to let me in. I came out and said thank you, and still no response. Her name was Karen. Then at the register I had to greet her first, otherwise she literally was not saying hello or anything. Also, the lady at the register asked whether I was going to pay cash or credit and while she was scanning the items she told me to go ahead and insert my card. Ummm noooo….I would like to be certain you scan my items correctly first and then see my total balance before just inserting my card. She still needed to scan more than half my items when she said that. I have never been told that before. These ladies have no integrity in what they do and are going to run customers off with this lack of simple kindness and customer service.
Awkward experience, I walked in and I’m immediately greeted by the Loss Prevention guy (cool, he’s doing his job), I smiled and walk past him, I walked over to the juniors section but since one of the employees was filling merchandise/organizing I wasn’t able to browse comfortably, she kept switching rows quickly so in order to not disturb her I would move over to the other side, the loss prevention guy immediately came over, glared at me and then look at the employee and asked her “are you doing okay?” Him staring at me made me feel uncomfortable, I’m just trying to shop comfortably since I arrived here! For starters, I’m not a thief, I can afford clothing a Ross and if anything, the purse I had is a very small purse that can only carry my purse, car keys and a couple of credit cards nothing else. Very uncomfortable situation. Maybe while he was busy glaring at me there was another potential shoplifter in store. Never coming back.
I went to the fitting room to try on some things and one didn't have a hanger. It was laying on top of the rail. They told me I couldn't go in unless i have a hanger for that item. The lady that was helping me called the other girl that was with her and also said that all the items have a hanger and I can't go in without a hanger. AGAIN, I told the lady that I found it laying on top of the rail. She said she didn't have any hangers with her and told me to hold on while she goes to the front to get one. At this point, I was already frustrated that they're making a big deal out of a hanger that they're not even going to give me when I purchase the items. So basically, you guys lost a sale. Good job, Ross. Never going back there again.
Slowest checkout ever I’ve been to several Ross but this one always has the longest line with only 1 or 2 registers open when they have about 6 registers! Doesn’t matter if it’s weekday or weekend they will always have 1-2 register open Sometimes people just live their stuff looking at the line and go There are people who come for one item and to just check out that item you have to wait 20-30mins They should have an express lane where upto 5 items people can check out fast Also this place don’t have much items as compared to other Ross Never been organized This location either needs efficient employees or a good manager who can manage stuff here
The Assistant Manager Angie had the most disgusting attitude and is the WORST professional I've experienced in retail. Angie was unladylike, unkempt, rushed me to hurry and decide on some unmarked items, was unwilling to help if more than 2 questions were asked about a product. As if she kept the store itself quite organized!! Not at all. She told me to decide then "get all the way back to the end of the line and try again". DISGUSTING! One of her employees apologized about her attitude, as they described that her negativity is common. Something needs to be done about Angie's nastiness and it left a horrible taste in my mouth about Ross stores.
The store is a good store too, but it is not as orderly as the one on Tomball Parkway. (This review was based on my last experience a year ago. I rated other Ross's but forgot to rate this one). It's not the employee's fault. The customers that shop at this Ross are just messy. They're like the people you would find at Panera Bread who don't clear their table. EVERYBODY KNOWS when you eat at Panera, you take your tray and all of your plates and drink, and you throw it away and put the tray on top of the garbage bin. Well, it seems like the same snotty people shop here. I feel sorry for the staff.
0000 customer service Hi u visited this store couple times but my wife love this ross ..buttoday is my last day the cashier she's name Tabitha 000 customer service my wife is pregnant and she was super rude with my son and my wife ...she just thought the change and my son hands ands say like smiling...I wanted talk with the manager on that moment but she is busy...understand...I don't wanted anything for free I paid for everything and because this lady is not happy my son and my wife crying those morning on the front the store we are spanic but the dollar bill is the same on this country
This is not a store, it is a jungle. Lol all the merchandise is on the floor. Take it from someone that works here. A thrift store looks better then this location. And the store manager Diane only schedule enough workers on her shift so the store can be a little close to organized. All the other managers are left to fend for themselves. This location has the worst turn over, the new hires don’t stay & all the good workers are leaving. She’s unprofessional, messy, petty & rude. But when the District Manager is ur bff, I guess u would run it how you want to.
The selection is nice. I am very disappointed in their buggy system. Their buggies seem to be more valuable than a great customer experience. I purchased over $200 in merchandise and since the buggies can't leave the store and no one has thought to have an employee help you carry the items to your car; I had to block traffic and carry all of my items to my car in 99 degree weather with a 110 degree heat index. An eldery woman also had to do the same. This will be my last big purchase from any Ross store that doesn't offer to help carry my items to my car.
I was not to pleased with the service. Staff was rude and not very helpful at all. We bought a outfit for my husband for my daughter college graduation. The guy helping us said that the outfit we were buying could not be home because it was too late , but another couple walk in after us and they did so adjustments to their outfit . I felt discriminate and a Hispanic person will not be shopping at this store again. I've used your store for other special events in I've never had this experience before.
The manager is a rude person, I will never go back to that store. I bought a purse and HE THE MANAGER took out all the paper that came inside the purse because he said he needed it, but I ALSO NEEDED IT TO Keep the shape of the bag, because it was for a gift. HE TOLD ME THAT "I JUST WANTED IT BUT DIDN'T NEED IT" What do you care? It comes with the purse you should have given me the purse with the paper inside. I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE IN MARSHALLS AND THEY DONT TAKE THE PAPER OF THE PURSE. THANK YOU.
They have the best deals always. My favorite store for shopping for all the seasons. From kids to adults to home decor. I just love Ross. The only problem is that they only have 1-2 registers open even if the store is busy. Many customers have to leave their shopping carts seeing the long line.. cashiers are too slow and rude.. I always have to wait 30-45 minutes for checkout. And nothing is organized in the store. Everything is scattered around. This place needs a better manager and the staff.
Went shopping there today and as I was exiting the store the alarm went off but not for me. The loss prevention lady with white hair stopped me to check my bags first but then she proceeded to tell me to remove my backpack from MY stroller like if I was stealing. After she didn't find anything she didnt even apologize for the uncomfortable situation. She honestly takes her job too seriously, they need to tell her to relax or hire someone else. But unfortunately i won't be going back there.
The only reason I am giving this location to stars is because they have really great prices and a lot of variety of everyday items. Unfortunately most of their employees have very poor bad attitudes and are not very helpful and rude. The employees should definitely be trained on how to provide proper customer service Just saying thank you or how may I help you or did you need help looking for some thing would be a major improvement on what I experienced tonight on my shopping trip.
Like the store but they always only have 2 cashier's and the line is to the back of the store! I don't know why they don't have more people working. Not interested in standing in line for 30+ minutes to check out 12/19/21 it's less than a week before Christmas and they still only have 2 cashier's working! Line is super long to check out. I don't even know why I come to this one ever. The new Louetta location is wayyyy better and way more organized. This store is a mess.
So there are deals to be found, but the store is poorly organized and not tidy. There was only two people accepting payment. That meant we had to wait in line over 20 minutes to pay. They opened a third lane when we were near the front of the line. She was a manager, but when I asked why there weren't more people helping she said she didn't know there was a problem. The line was probably twice as long by then. Great deals but at the price of frustration and wasted time.
Horrible ! Horrible ! #1. Staff is so unhappy here. What can you expect if the manager she's just as RUDE! Asked her two question at separate occasions just looks at you with that B1TCH face and nods. This poor lady they took her return and then told her it was going to be store credit when she refused the staff all ganged up on the customer. #2. Store return line was take one purchase and take one return while they had 3 lines open for regular purchase.
Coming into Ross the security guard greeted us with a warm smile and friendly voice. We gathered our purchases and made our way to the only cashier. As I began loading them on the counter our cashier never greeted us, smiled or said a word other than I already scanned it when my granddaughter held up the 2nd of my exact items I had been holding. Then insert your card. No thank you or anything else. She made me feel as if I was bothering her.
How is there two cash registers opened with a line down the aisle? If two cash registers are open make two lines so the company can see the productivity of the cash registers? If it is a budget issue with the company, just let the registers see who is faster? I am sick of these retail stores treating consumers like we should help their business out by standing in long lines and checking our selves out of their stores! WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH?
Honestly, don’t come here! I mean that literally. As a person who loves shopping at Ross for low prices it was my first time shopping here because I moved to a different side of town and so I went to check it out and never ever returning here! Everything is so unorganized!!! For example, I found baby clothes in sizes like x,xl,xxl. No thank you save your money and your time and don’t shop here!! If I could give it 0 stars I would!
The store was great! The only huge problem I had was that a short bald grey headed old lady that was working as loss prevention. The lady asked someone in the back to scan every area like 10 times. I was only in the store for 20 minutes. She made it SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE to shop there! Corporate will be contacted, how do you expect people to shop comfortably when you’re just staring at everyone like they’re going to be stealing.
Very clean location. One of the better stores that I’ve been to. Took my mother because it’s one of her shopping places. She was pleasantly surprised how organized this location was. She was able to find exactly what she needed without the added stress of rummaging through racks where everything was the wrong size. Great job to management and staff for keeping this location orderly which made it a great shopping experience.
7:36 pm I went to return two items and I asked for a plastic bag from the lady in turn of the return items, she was so rude and impatient pretty ugly behavior this position it’s to deal with a lot of pressure sometimes I understand but all I asked was to make sure my return was properly done and a plastic bag but this woman was very negative not pleasant at all Ross need to train people better for customer service
So bad service in the fitting room .. After trying some pieces of clothes i couldn't hang them in their hangers caz i was tired & my hands shaking .. so i counted the extra pieces in front of the lady of the fitting & give them to her with the handers separately .. she told me to stand aside & hang the pieces before handling them to her.. the clothes were falling from my hand & she didn't even try to help me ..
If you enjoy being stared at by loss prevention while you shop, then this is the store for you. Can’t even shop properly. The old lady that works as loss prevention needs to stop acting like everyone is going to steal (just because my mom and I were looking at the makeup for a while). Management needs to do a better job with their employees because that store is already bad as it is.
Ross is a favourite of mine.. Budget shopping and can get something for fully family.. These are neighbourhood stores and can always visit the next outlet of you don't get a particular size or colour.. They sell nearly everything from undergarments to kitchen utensils and toys, room furnishings. Unmatched price. Stuff from excellent brands available at throwaway prices.
Most of Ross's stores, including this one- are unorganized and unkept. The lines are ALWAYS long due to an evident lack of staffing at checkout... which is very confusing! Seems like they save a ton of payroll in NOT straightening their stores, you would think at the very least they could at least spend some of that "savings" on staffing the registers
I tried to return a piece of luggage with wheels. I explained that the bag was faulty and the corner would flop down with weight inside. The manager gave us the hardest time and did not help us find a new bag or store credit. No customer service, just "buts" and "no's", and read me the policy on the back of the reciept.Never have experienced something like this.
Worst customer service. Asked to show my mom the MK purse, didn't let my mom look, just yank it out of her hand and told my mom she would put it in the counter. My mom did not speak English so she yelled at my mom and told her like my mom was handicap and made fun of her with the loss prevention guy. Manager and employees need customer service training.
Ross has been a great store to shop. Lately I have been having trouble finding the things I found so quick & easy in the past. I used to find a good variety of slacks & now they only seem to carry jeans. Jeans, jeans & more jeans. Jeans are the last thing I want to find..... I hope they carry the merchandise they used to carry so abundantly.....
I was really disappointed in the women's clothing selection and only found 1 top. I still have to wait to wear it in cooler weather. I did find a nice set of 100% Cotton FULL Sheet set and a cute pair of leather Sandals so all in all I still gotta love my Ross. Worth the hunt usually and I even got some tees for my more than patient companion
This Ross has the longest lines, rudest mgmt and cashier's. The clothes are cheap but never in the right place, the underwear section for women are always all over the floor. The current store manager is very nice and helpful but his so called supervisors are not very nice. I'm giving two stars only because of the low prices
Nice and clean yet still a lil unorganized like most of the other Ross stores; at least this one didn't have a lot of clothes strewn onto the floor. Went in there for two things but was dismayed by the RIDICULOUS checkout line that stretched to the back of the store. SMH. I put my things back in went to another store
Martha (older Hispanic lady w/grey hair & glasses) refused to let us use the restroom. She lied about them being out of order. I asked another associate and she said they were not out of order. What a shame you have an employee who discriminates against your customers. Corporate has been made aware of this incident.
Used to come here often for quality discount clothes and home goods. Clothes selections have not been that great. I was really disappointed that most of the home goods items were broken. Checked a few vases, sculptures, floral arrangements etc and most almost all were not in tact. Left without purchasing anything.
Will never shop here or any Ross Stores, Security and Manager pretty much said my daughter couldn't have her iced milk which was in a cup with a lid and straw. I guess you can carry it in the store but not drink it. How the hell are you suppose to tell your baby in 100 degree weather she can't drink milk.
I didn't really like this store in particular, but today everything was perfect, clean bathroom, line to pay was long but fast, and best of all I didn't see clothes on the floor the only one I see worker picked it up as soon as he see it. I wasn't in fitting room so I can't say anything about. It ;)
Well, it's Ross, so my three-star rating is not anything to do with the store or the merchandise. It was all fairly decent for a Ross. The problem is they had one person checking out and I did not expect to have to wait in line for approximately 18 minutes on a Monday at 3:00 in the afternoon.
One of my favorite locations. They stay stocked up usually!! Especially on home good things! Size 9-10-11 shoes aren’t really ever in stock in the evenings. But it’s a nice shopping area as well, so there are several places to shop at. Customer service usually is pretty good as well.
This is terrible store. People work there they are racist. I return my jacket from another store but the ladies were said I can return here since tag show something wrong . But the way they treated us like theft Because our skin color. This is terrible experience.
Little dis-organized like all Ross stores. You will get value for money. Not many staff about if you had a question. I found an Indian lady and she was very helpful. I will go back for selective items, had great experience on quality and performance.
This store has lots of nice things to choose from. Great price's as well. But the Customer Service sucks!! The employee's ALWAYS seem too busy to help you. No one ever smile's at you or greet you ever. Good Customer Service does not live here. SMH
They will follow you around like you trying to steal something. Also the Ross at 1960 and veterans memorial both worst 2 places to shop just went in the store with my kids to look for backpack for school some guy with a radio follow us around
I been to 3 Ross department store's here in North Houston and found a lot of good clothes at this Ross being from Pennsylvania I found a snow jacket that's originally $98.00 and got it for $45.00 I also found t-shirts that are expensive and
Employees there don’t like kids, they are very ghetto I heard them talking bad about some kids that were running around and then one of the Hispanic Indian looking lady wanted to blame my daughter for opening some brushes that my daughter
I was just in the Ross near Willowbrook Mall and I was checked out by a cashier named Tabitha who was very rude. She checked me out for my first purchase (which was a card purchase). I then had a cash transaction. While she was bagging my
mom wanted some new sheets and some walking shoes from Ross so I took her there. She was happy that she found what she was looking for but got disgusted and disappointed when we had to stand in line for a long time and she's on a walker.
Thank you so much to Tay, shes wonderful, & super kind. Upon check-out there was a bag of purchased items left behind. She ran outside the establishment, just to make sure we received them. Thank you! I hope I got your name correct.
Being that this is my neighborhood Ross, unfortunately I will not no longer spend my money here. Customer service is everything and Tabatha definitely was very rude. Ross please do better with training and your hirining process!
Very convenient place for budget shopping. They have a wide range of products from clothing, luggage to kitchen utensils and decorative items. Pay a visit , you will definitely find something interesting according to you taste.
Ross has always been hit or miss in terms of finding something I like in men's clothing. Has been mostly miss for some time though. Somewhere to casually shop for clothes but not if you have to purchase something that day.
The customer service at this location is terrible. Save your time and money and go to another location. You'll be in line for hours, and returns are the worst. Whoever is managing this location isn't doing a great job.
If I could give less stars I would. The day before Christmas at 12:30 in the afternoon and once again they only have 2, TWO registers open!!!! I’m beginning to think that only 2 people work here. Wow! Do better.
One of the best Ross stores in the Houston area. I find the staff especially helpful and courteous in particular those at the changing room. Great prices. I love their sale racks as well- always a hit.
This was one of the more clean and organized Ross I've been to even though there were soooooo many people school shopping. The staff still managed to have good customer service with all the people
This is one of those Ross stores that are really on top of their game, good job to management and mainly the associates, cme here to shop for Halloween decorations and were not disappointed.
I understand loss prevention is there for a reason. Screaming "HELLO, welcome to Ross" isn't necessary. I prefer a "welcoming greeting." It makes my shopping experience more enjoyable.
Very welcoming... I went into the store looking for a certain item and an employee named Angie was very helpful... she went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for.
The loss prevention guy likes Reese’s. Ross hardly ever has Reese’s available. These are the things you learn first thing in the AM from the friendly employees inside this Ross.
Nice finds although cashier was not friendly. I believe it was Mimi or something with an M (hispanic) seemed to be mad caused she was called to the register. That's your job
The lines are usually super long and the friendliness of the employees is a hit and a miss sometimes, but they have a wonderful inventory of rotating stock for fair prices.
Reorganizing our pantry and fridge is less expensive when shopping at Ross. I also picked up some very nice items for our deck. I can't wait for fun in the fall.
Young man at the front extended a cheerful and welcoming greet! Came across some good items but not a good fit. Shoe associate indicated more stock was coming.
It is only getting 2 stars because the prices are good. The people who work there on the other hand... it comes from upper management and it's just very bad.
Pricing is good on half the stuff, but they marked up a lot of products. Not sure if staffing is a issue but the store shelves are chaotic to say the least.
I have heard great reviews about this store for sunglasses. However, there were only 6 pairs out on display and 3 pairs had some type of defect.
6 or more people in line and just one cashier so I called the store while waiting and asked them to send out another cashier and they did!
4/22/23 @ 2:10 pm line is all the way pass the fitting room and they're not planning to open another register. Worst management ever!
Awesome place to shop, cute clothes, shoes, and much more! Only thing , it was messy with shoes everywhere and clothes on the floor.
Ross always offers great shopping experiences..good selections, great pricing, helpful and friendly staff. This was a nice store!
Am a former associate At Ross Dress For Less. The way Ross Staff treat people is always top notch. Yeah we say Yes for Ross.
I went to find shoes for my son. Very small selection of boys shoes compared to girl, women and men
Always good finds at a low price. Don't sleep on Ross, you'll be amazed at what you may find.
Love gone back to the Ross store now feel good nobody Bothers you wear in the store shopping
Love Ross and it's great deals and finds. Only thing I dread is the line to pay
Can always find clothes for great prices
