I came in to this Ross w/ intentions of returning 2 items/pants totalling less than $20. One pant was $6.49 and the other $10.99. I browsed the store and found a pair of $9.99 pants to exchange my items for. I had both my receipts for the exchange and both items had all tags still affixed to them. Unbeknownst to me the pant for $10.99 was mistagged by Ross. The cashier, Liz called a mgr, Charmayne to authorize the return or I would have to return to the Ross so they can pull/review the cameras to ensure I didn't steal the items accd to the employees, Charmayne & Liz. I was given the $6.49 return one pant; I had to pay for the $9.99 pants and they refused the return $10.99 mistagged pant. I was informed Ross would have to pull the camera and review it w/ me to ensure I made the purchase (Again, I repeat, I have my original receipt and original tags affixed to the item). I had to call Corporate to get my issue resolved. I was insulted due to an error of Ross and was being insulted & ridiculed by representatives of your company. Both ladies were chuckling at the ordeal. I was extremely insulted and disgusted at such behavior. You can pull all cameras and I can guarantee you that I rightfully purchased those items. I have receipts, dates, locations and times of all transactions. The named employees need to be reprimanded for their deplorable behavior.

Not sure but it appeared as if the store is not as organized as it's been in past visits. Maybe because there are abundant holiday items for sale or because some of the offerings are larger than usual such as the toys dept. But, the security guard was greeting from where he was standing by the cashiers. Could swear he was saying welcome to "Ro" as opposed to "Ross." When you are standing by the elevator you look at the stairs and the sills are dirty & scuffed. But the best was the elevator: filthy, absolutely filthy. They get somewhat of a pass on the entrance because every time someone opens the door, stuff flies in but they could at least sweep every few hours and keep the place reasonably welcoming.

I live a couple blocks away and have stopped here a few times in the last couple years. I was blown away tonight and had to let the staff know how good of an experience I had. It never seemed that bad, but looks great now. Full shelves. I never ask questions, but did tonight with a person that found what I was looking for instantly. Kudos to the whole staff. I always liked the place, but now you've won me and every one I tell about the place now! Well done! To management, the person that checked me out was wonderful, but they should have a chair. With so much time between sales, especially after hours. Let them sit down!

Great selection of clothes and kitchen goods, and fragrances, but the store personnel does not want the great number of customers supporting this business to use the restroom. The security staff had entered the access code for me and another lady who’d been waiting, and the associate whom I’d reached by telephone came running to the rear of the store, saying “It’s out of order!”, and that’s not true. Chicago city ordinance requires that a retail establishment of thud size have services/ a public washroom. Ross lied to us. I shop here nearly weekly; done with Ross at Uptown.

I love Ross, so this is not for the brand. But this store in particular is very unclean, unfriendly, and a hassle to shop at. They closed the fitting rooms a bit before 7pm, so I couldn’t try anything on, everyone was angry when I asked them questions, and the smell was awful for some reason. The selection of most clothes weren’t where they were supposed to be, it was especially bad even for a Ross. The selection seemed smaller than other Ross’s, but maybe that’s just what I saw. TLDR: I would go to any other location if you have the choice, this is one of the worse Ross’s.

10/23/2020. So disappointed! I was shocked why a cashier (woman) at the check out didn't want to return a Jacket 2-3 days after purchase. As requested, I gave her a receipt but Immmediately she sniffed the Jacket to prove I wore it. I was speechless and felt like personal issue. The worst thing was she violated safety and healthy guidelines, put my health at risk and didn't want me to talk with a person in charge.  I want to let her know that I was able to return it at another Ross store. unprofessional, bad reputation for Ross.

EDIT: The chirping hasn't been an issue lately so I'll increase it to 4 stars. I would rate it one star solely because the alarm on the door in the back is always chirping extremely loudly but that wouldn't be fair. You can hear it anywhere in the store. I've never timed it, but it's got to be between every 30 seconds and 1 minute. Other than that, it's a good Ross. I've been coming to this location consistently for two years and the alarm issue hasn't changed so I think 3 stars for their negligence is reasonable.

Love this place! It has a little of everything. They do a fantastic job of organizing all of these great finds. Every employee has been friendly an helpful. A great addition to our neighborhood. The four stars is because I have got a few shirts and undershirts that after washing they were not able to be worn. The shirts looked ok prior to washing, but after washing they were either cut wrong or the material appeared like crape paper (feminine looking). I didn't attempt to return because the tags were gone.

Nice clothes at affordable prices but some employees behavior is unacceptable. I was in the line for more than 20 minutes(only one cashier as usual) and suddenly a guy from nowhere paid without make a line. People was behind me waiting too. So I told the employee that everybody has to make a line and he said that nobody is going to die. Seriously, I'm a cancer patient and I can feel bad waiting more than 20 minutes in the line. So employees need to be more sensitive with clients

Oh My Gosh!!!!! Emmoi, Stella, you guys Re the bestest ever!!!. I totally left my wallet in the shopping cart full of items after getting an alarming call and I had to run. These ladies displayed the upmost integrity and honesty I have seen in the customer service field for a long time. Everything in my wallet was intact, EVEN AFTER I didn't notice it was even missing g for 2 and 1/2 hours. Thanks girls, I appreciate it so much.

Ross has the greatest prices! Unfortunately the size selection was pretty rough for me in the formal dress department. There weren’t really many smaller sizes. Plus, the jewelry selection is almost nonexistent. But in terms of the store, it was very clean and everything seemed to be pretty well organized! There were plenty of employees and the fitting rooms were free from others items. I’ll be back!

Cashiers were eating their chocolate and having their convo/ gossip while l was at the register she didn’t even say a word to me, me, except for saying "np" when I found a matching tag for a missing one. When she handed me the receipt, she wasn't even looking at my face. Only 2 dressing room( temporary ones) wait line was long. Found the halloween shirt l was looking so not a 1-star. 10/25 5:10pm

Did you know the holidays are right around the corner? Are you aware that fall is here? If you're looking to spruce up any area of your home, the house wears section at Ross is a must. Everything from seasonal doormats to holiday placemats. Bath mats in warm fall colors and plush towels to compliment them. Garlic infused olive oil to deliciously scented candles, go ahead! Go a little crazy!

Worst customer service ever .. walked up to counter was the only one and only had 2 pair of flip flops. Cashier came from behind the counter grabbed a rack of hangers and proceeded to hang the hangers on a different rack while I stood there waiting for her to finish. Instead of taking care of her customer first she acted as if I wasn't even there. Horrible

I think Ross has items that other stores don't have, some you wouldn't think they have, it's big and wide plenty of room, if you need to sit, or being a senior, you can ask for a chair. Need help just ask. I just take my time, no one follows you around, at least not when I go If anything happens, there are cameras. And security. Happy shopping?

Ross is located in uptown where, as a black man, I hated being stereotyped by other black People. The “loss prevention” team consisted of a rail thin black who smelled of backwoods who was obviously the stores undercover security overly doing his job. He kept following me around up and down the aisle for the better part of my time there.

Not much variety of stock, really. Cashiers are also inattentive; one dude walked away without a word as I approached his register. The lady at the dressing room was really friendly, otherwise from the welcoming security to floor staff to cashiers, I had the sense that staff had just watched a Bergman film -- and a bad one, at that.

The cashier last night, 10-25 -23.. was very rude and the manager was just as rude as she was. She took my 20 dollars and when my total came up. She dropped the 20 out my hand. Then got mad because I told the manager that was a small guy. Very Disrespectful I didn’t buy anything. I just left.she had this black eyeliner on her eyes

Ross always looks “homeless”. Not sure if it’s the high ceilings or the colors scheme or just how they organize their items. But I will admit I have found some great deals. Although this one can be a bit scattered and disorganized if you like to “dig” I’m sure you’ll find something you think you came for. I always do.

Ross is back open, the fitting rooms are closed so with that being closed, you cannot use the bathroom. There is a alot of outs in most departments. And there is a distance in the line. It may look long but with the spacing in between, it may look like forever to check out. The cashiers are friendly and very quick.

Store is messy to say the least. They run out of big bags and force u to pay for many small bags. The whole point of the tax is to decrease use of plastic? Carlos is no help as his recommendation was to buy their store bag because of inconvenience.. Bring your own bags this place may run out and charge you...

The store was mostly organized, considering the holiday. Lots of ladies' coats in stock (reason why I went). Got a very nice down jacket with faux-fur trimmed detachable hood by Columbia reduced to $44.99, originally $64.99, retail $200. Going back in 2 days for gifts and possibly another coat!

You can get alot of things for reasonable price here. If you are looking for gifts its a good place. Clothes are okay, not too great. But you can find a few good ones if you spend some time. I wont recommend it for clothes but its good for other things like accessories, household items etc

I never spend over $100 here for two reasons... Ross is inexpensive which we love but mainly because they never have anything lol their stock is poor but if you catch them at the right time you may get lucky. 3 stars due to never much in there that I actually like.

This location is very new, which is why I tried them out. But the store was a mess. Barren shelves. Empty racks. The escalator at the entrance was filthy. Found some nice candles and pillows but probably won't be back. Too sketchy for me.

Just went here to get a gift card for mother's day. Got there early and no waiting line. Wanted to check this place out and is more cleaner and brighter than one at McCormick place. About same amount of time traveling on bus,too.

Typically my go to store for decent casual office wear at a reasonable price. They've recently rearranged the aisle and the last few times I've visited I could barely find anything. Frustrating to say the least, so I spent less!

I love the salespeople here. The selection is not as wide as many other Ross stores in the suburbs but they're pretty good. Ross used to have a big discounted Michael Kors watch collection, looking forward to those.

Good holiday deals. Products are pretty decent, somewhere between Dollar General and Macy's in quality. My wife likes to pick up cheat trinkets here a lot. That can be good or bad depending on your style.
