"Are you interested in *the* BEST Goat Curry Roti you've *ever* had? Well you're in luck my friend! Cus located in a *super* questionable run down plaza, is one of *the* greatest hole in a wall Roti Restraunts you'll *ever* experience! (Just bring pepper spray and a loud whistle!) 'Roti Lady', as the name suggests, houses *one* elderly woman as its *only* employee! There for emotional support is her trustee grandson; chilling out behind the counter, playing mobile games while slouched on what can only be described as one incredibly well loved couch! The esthetic? An old gas station's storage area! The customer service? Purely transactional! Looking for some customer / proprietor banter? Don't even think about it! Roti Lady's just here to take your order and make your food! If it's any consolation, while you decide what you want to order, she'll slowly chew on an appetizer of her own, and stare off into the distance! In all seriousness though, 100% recommend! Their food is filling, and you *really* get a sense that it doesn't get any more authentic than this! Their lack of want to impress you shows just how much they believe in their product--and really--they're not wrong! 5 out of 5 ⭐s!"

"We've been taking out food from Roti Years for a few years"
"Some great roti and chicken here at am incredible price! Not very spicy, but if you are iffy about it, order a coleslaw for a seesaw balancing act (it's sweet and refreshing, think KFC slaw)"
"The curry chicken roti is very good!! I like that the restaurant had a family feel as it seems like the roti lady's adorable little grandsons hang out there"

This is not your average or eat in restaurant. To all the terrible reviews you guys don’t know what soul food is so don’t listen to the bad reviews. Here is the honest review about this amazing family owned restaurant. The location of this restaurant is close to many tourist attractions like bluffs and etc. You buy amazing spicy mommas food type. Then you pick a spot and eat it there. IT IS SPICY SO if your tongues weak go eat McDonalds or smth. Flavour is beyond good and price to portion is balanced. Also if you eat using fork and spoon daily, this place is not for you. IT IS HALAL. The food tastes amazing and i would recommend it tot anyone who wants to enjoy a good food and can handle spice. AGAIN PLS DON’T listen to the bad reviews as they are definitely some caucasians who can’t handle spice or they have never left canada and tried street food. Do go to this place and cross your finger that they are open cause they operate whenever which makes it more special. YOU SNOOZE YOU LOOSE.

We've been taking out food from Roti Years for a few years. The food is worth waiting for (we've waited months to find her open). We recently order four different rotis and no one was disappointed with their order. The oxtail roti is bone and all and very rich and packed with flavour. Good selection of delicious vegan option which makes this a popular choice for take out since it offers something for everyone. Having gone there for years, we know not to expect a lot of social interaction. For those who commented about the wait, we call first and food is always ready on time. She doesn't have food sitting around to be served so expect to wait if you're walking in. She also doesn't always have what's on the menu so calling is recommended. (When she's busy, calling a few times is what it takes. It would be good if she changed her voicemail when she is closed though). For those who want it spicier, ask for hot sauce. She makes it herself and also sells it by the jar - it's excellent. No, I'm not related to her in any way but just trying to support a hard-working local business that deserves to stay in business because her food is delicious.
Some great roti and chicken here at am incredible price! Not very spicy, but if you are iffy about it, order a coleslaw for a seesaw balancing act (it's sweet and refreshing, think KFC slaw). Didn't take very long at all for food to come out, but I was the only customer at the time. Only one table, but it's like eating at your auntie's - yes, there's a kid there playing, but he keeps to himself and hey, that's just life. I'd sacrifice a bit of comfort for the authenticity of roti lady any day.

The curry chicken roti is very good!! I like that the restaurant had a family feel as it seems like the roti lady's adorable little grandsons hang out there. I would suggest ordering ahead or using Skip The dishes as it takes time for her to make her food. It's definitely worth the wait. However, I would not suggest dining in. It is a bit crowded and has a dated feel to the decor. There is a lot of free parking

The curries are piping hot and made to order. So let it breathe before eating or you'll burn your tongue. Also this means you'll be waiting about 10+ minutes. BUT the flavor is great, done of THE best I've had across the GTA! Definitely spicy, not for the meek. Be wary of bones. Large portions and an affordable lunch, 1 large serving is enough for 2 people.

Hands down the beat roti and doubles in the GTHA. Quality, prices and portions can't be beat. This place has been a staple of mine for almost 20years, right back to the Parkdale beginnings. Happy to have it as my local again.

I can only give my review of this treasured memory from when roti lady was in Parkdale. This is easily almost 10 years ago but she remains a very pleasant memory of sweet service, abundant quantity at a price we very much appreciated on our limited budgets. It was a very humble roti shack back then which was part of the charm. I miss it so.

Hands down the best roti in the GTA. We travel from the west end to eat here it’s that good. The doubles are so tasty and flavourful and the roti is perfect every time. Prices can’t be beaten either - $8 Chana and potato roti and $2 doubles!!

The fact that this place doesn't have 5 stars is a sin. This is the best roti I have ever had, literally. I've been going here for a couple years now. It's such a treat. Absolutely phenomenal.

Lady here who owns the place is super rude. She is obnoxious and disrespectful. My wife got food poisoning from here. The place is dirty and falling apart. Saw a cockroach in there. It’s sits in the back corner of a crumbling “plaza”. Not sure why the city hasn’t shut this place down. Will be reporting them to the city.
Really good, delicious food. Portions are very generous. I'm definitely going back soon. Very obviously family operated; seems all the most authentic food usually is. A bit of patience required, but well worth it.

My gf and I, got the large Oxtail/rice and peas dinner, and the large curry chicken roti. Both were very big portions and the flavors were really good. A little on the spicy side, but we like that, so it was fine. Cost us only $21. I think its strictly a take out place, but definitely worth trying
5 star for me. Had the jerk chicken, chicken roti and a doubles. Portions were huge, more of a take out spot for sure. Best bang for your buck in the area.

Roti
Just tried Roti Lady for the first time. Ordered the jerk chicken special. For $7, I thought it was great value. Although I like jerk to be a bit spicy, this was a mild sauce with good flavour. I look forward to trying a roti next time.
The Butter Chicken here was hot beyond reason. I can't tell you if it was any good, can't taste anything around the heat, I THINK it was pretty bland though. The roti was excellent.

Great Roti!! I had the chicken Roti with added spinach and pumpkin. It was delicious, and huge! It was so large I actually weighed it It weighed 2.5 lbs! Michael was largely entertaining while we waited for our food to be made.
Not to be missed neighbourhood spot. Their curry chicken roti and doubles are fantastic. Well priced and very generous portions.

Best Caribbean food I've ever had in my life! The oxtail and roti is 10/10. I drive over an hour to come here because the flavour, portions and prices are that good.
