No recommended at All: I have to update my review based on what I saw today. This place was a very nice place with friendly staff, but has changed a lot recently. Today, their employee put almost half of protein that she was supposed to put on my plate, and I simply asked her can you put a little bit more? She said no, that's the right portion. I asked her if I can talk to the manager, and she brought another lady who was younger than her (maybe Anna?!), and I explained the situation to here. Instead of listening, she acted very rude, impolite and unprofessional. She mentioned, "it is what it is". These are very young people who don't care about this place. I believe that the owner either should teach team how to treat their customers or get rid of them. I don't care about money at all, but paying $15 for a chicken bowl is not cheap when you can get something like that in Chipotle with half of the price.

Good for cheap fast (not authentic) middle eastern food. This is kind of comparable to a McDonald’s of Mediterranean food. The falafel is pretty good, bread is fluffy. Hummus tastes pretty standard for mass produced. Roasted vegetables/ broccoli could have more flavor. Most of the vegetables are pickled(I’m not a fan of anything pickled). The rice is slightly undercooked with a decent flavor. The couscous has good flavor with sweet dried berries to complement the overall more savory/ salty couscous. Overall, it’s edible and fine for an inexpensive quick meal but it lacks flavor and a variety of flavors. This is a shame. After all, there are so many delicious spices in the Mediterranean world, why pickle everything as though it’s a couple hundred years ago and everything is going to spoil if not preserved with pickling?! This restaurant is not for someone craving food from their home country or anything authentic but it’s a fine fast food alternative.

Went to the grand opening of the Roti modern Mediterranean at this location. I t is located in a very busy shopping center. The plus is that there is a parking lot but, since it is for all of the stores in the shopping center, you may have to look around for parking. The food is very good in all Roadie locations. Their slogan is food that loves you back. Well their food is healthier than other fast food restaurants, but the pricing is okay, not great. You have three different choices for your meal you can get a sandwich, a rice plate, or a salad. We usually opt for the rice plate, it seems to have the better variety of choices especially in the sides, toppings and sauces. We have had both the stake roadie, the chicken roti and the salmon kabob. All of these are good my favorite is the steak Roadie and the salmon kabob. There are many different options and I suggest you try a few you can always get your sauce on the side.

This all glass storefront is so beautiful and full of light in Lincoln Park. I love bringing friends here and it is one of my favorite places to eat because of this wonderful food and always great staff! I always dine in!

I see people of all ages in Roti and my son loved Mediterranean food when he was little! Friday nights were Mediterranean night!

It’s been awhile since I last visited this location. Mainly because of the menu change. However, It was extremely refreshing to see Ariana!! (I hope I spelled her name correctly) During my initial visit back, I was a little bummed out to see that the menu had changed and was completely different! I was about to leave, but Ariana talked me into giving the new menu a try. She went over the menu describing each item. I remember her saying “the options are different, but the taste is still the same” I was sold! Ariana’s customer service is amazing. I love that she’s Greeting each customer as soon as you open the door! She’s always smiling and I appreciate her for making sure Roti kept me as a customer! Thank you Ariana for being genuinely nice with every interaction!

Personally I love roti. They are a great franchise and the food is usually great. I would give it 5 stars however I was disappointed with my food on my last visit. The quality was not there as usual and I was very disappointed with the side options for my bowl . Overall you can never go wrong with roti and I'll always eat there.

A commercial shoot I was working on ordered 50 items for takeout from this location. As a service industry worker myself, I know it would have been very hard to keep my cool while managing take out orders, the orders of people dining in, and curbside pick ups, but the team working last night was INCREDIBLY patient, kind, and hardworking. A special shout out to Ariana for being such a sweetheart! We all enjoyed the food at the end of our 14 hr day of work and we are so grateful to Roti for providing us with their delicious food. I am also glad to share that the leftover food went to a local homeless shelter. :)

Used to be good but… I’ve been going to Roti for years and it’s always been great, but today we noticed many menu changes that are not good. The new method for making street pita was not good. They didn’t mix the ingredients together so I as I ate, the layers got progressively more dry because the sauce was just poured on top. The new steak is dry and tastes bad and the new tomatoes and cucumber toppings are flavorless and cut too big for bite size pieces. Please go back to the way it used to be!

Roti is essentially Mediterranean Chipotle. It's pretty good, but not stellar. My main reason for knocking it down a star is that the toppings are often cold. Grilled vegetables are great, but hot meat and cold veggies in a sandwich is a weird clash and just doesn't make for the greatest experience. That said, the food is still tasty and I'd go back and try it again. The chicken kebab meat was well seasoned and the veggies did really taste pretty good. Overall I did like it, just a nitpick on the temperature combination because that doesn't really suit my personal preference.

This wonderful restaurant continues to improve and add variety to their fresh and healthy food offerings. With vegan, vegetarian and keto friendly sandwiches, bowls and salads there is something delicious for anyone's taste. Love the light modern style of the indoor restaurant, outdoor seating as well and they are extremely friendly and efficient in preparing your food as you walk toward the register. I especially love the salmon and their signature chicken and the giant couscous side. They're spicy hummus with pita chips is and ideal snack / accompaniment.

I’ve seen Rōti around for years and finally decided to give it a try today after realizing my favorite Mediterranean counter service place is closed on Sunday. I walked in, told the guy behind the counter it was my first time there and he walked me trough all my options. Then he handed me off to a super friendly young lady who helped me finish my wrap and even gave me some suggestions. The food was delicious but the service is really where my rating lies. I will definitely be returning. Also ample parking at this location, always a plus in the city.

I just had pick up from here and it was border line inedible. The cabbage was completely brown instead of purple. Tomatoes were wilted and mushy. Chicken was bone dry and cold. How can you serve this to someone for $15? I’m nervous about food poisoning since clearly the food wasn’t fresh or kept hot. Will update if I get sick. Never again!! Avoid this place like the plague!!

Inattentive and disinterested night crew… Asked for a “Cluck Cluck Hooray” , the order taker looked down at some sticky notes, and asked me to repeat my order then proceeded to ask his co-worker for guidance. The coworker fill my bowl with rice and the order taker kept their head down not knowing what the next ingredient choice should be. Once all the ingredients finally got added, I waited more than long enough to pay. Bottom line: the staff had no urgency or pride in making my meal the best it could be

If your after a really good, quick, counter-service Mediterranean bowl or falafel that is healthy and much better than garbage fast food, this is a great place. Lots of gluten free options including a pita bread. The food was fresh, the hummus tasty, and sauces flavorful (tahini my fav). Lots of yummy rainbow veggie spectrum sides. We will go back often when looking for something fast and delicious. Update 6/12/23: We are here at least once a week!

Unfortunate that this place used to be awesome. The prices went up and the amount of ingredients went down at least 25%. There's honestly about an ounce of chicken on this pita sandwich and barely any veggies. I also asked for the sauce on the side. When I politely brought the lack of ingredients to the woman's attention she argued with me. I know all restaurants are getting more expensive but don't reduce ingredients and have a nasty attitude. Forget this location, there an olive down the street!

Totally loved this spot!! Fresh food, so many options (and vegan ones too!). I love the “make your own bowl” type restaurants, and this one does it right. Lots of main options that cater to vegans and meat eaters, with a ton of healthy options to add on top. They’ll really pile on the toppings, so you are guaranteed to leave happy and full. The staff was super nice as well. Was in Chicago for five days and ate here twice. Def recommend to anyone in the area looking for a bomb fast casual spot.

Roti has done a good job of upgrading the look and tastes of their restaurant. The food is served in recyclable plates. Larger, tastier selection of proteins and vegetables including couscous and roasted vegetables. Cheerful staff.

A clean restaurant paired with a clean meal= success. Very impressed with the service. I told Tim it was my first time there, and that my buddy spoke highly of them. When I was just finishing up, he came by to ask me how I enjoyed everything. Where do you see that happening in this type of restaurant environment (it's set up like Chipotle)? Roti has a good selection of food and sauces that are pretty tasty. The basic chicken is probably one of my favorites, and for the lowest price of any of the meats. The lamb, beef, fish, and chicken kabob are also good but somehow not as good, which is always surprising for chicken. Out of the 6 sauces, I'm not sure which is the best but they all fit well with the meats. The store has a very modern feel, as if a coffee shop in a hotel has a restaurant

What happened? I used to love Roti and I have gotten it often, but something has changed. All the sides have no flavor anymore. Everything tastes watered down with no spices...which is the whole point of most of the items. I was very disappointed and it seems like there has a been a franchise change on how they are doing things...and it's just not as good.

This was my first time eating here and it's basically Mediterranean chipotle. You pick the protein, toppings, and sauces as you go down the line after you pick plate sandwich. The flavors were so good. I was a little lost because there are quite a lot of options and it was my first time. The staff was very friendly and patient. Food was amazing. Couldn't have been happier. The veggies were my favorite and I'm not a veggie person.

Much better than I expected. It is a Mediterranean style Chipotle. You build your salad, bowl or pita. The flavours are close to authentic Mediterranean food and the atmosphere is very good to be a fast food restaurant. The selection of beverages is great, you have better options than soft drinks.

This place is usually great but the last time we were here, Sunday evening, an hour and a half before closing, they had already taken all the sides away and people couldn't even see them when ordering their meals. I cant express how good the service is with the night crew. I have gone to roti 2-3 times a week for the past 2-3 months. Everytime between 6-10pm and I have left impressed every single time with the food and service. I believe he is the manager but the young man always there does an incredble job of balancing the store. Its really impressive. I hope he is getting more from his bosses than just thank you's

I wish google weighed newer reviews more or by default sorted by recent reviews, to warn the customer. Roti has cut the portion sizes by a third and side options have gone down and gotten worse in variety and quality. Also they will pretty much never add any sauce whatever you ask for if you order online or on app.

While I love the food the food safety and hygiene is s concern lately. They have gloves on, but are touching/ wiping their nose and using those same gloves to grab the lettuce and pita bread. The tongs are so short they touch the food with their dirty gloves, then touch the register. Sanitation training and enforcement is a must at this location.

Great food, location and service. I love roti and I like the variety of options they have and that they always add new items/ingredients. The food is very healthy and I appreciate the drink options that are natural and not too sweet. I just wish they had reusable silverware and glassware options. This location has great design and esthetic. Definitely recommend.

Overall good food but 3 stars because I don’t love that they waste so much food on the pitas. My order and the order before mine had pitas and I watched them just throw away a bunch of extra food that did not fit. Wish they would go back to the previous way of making pitas where they just put the food directly into the pita instead of a bowl and wasting food.

This has become our favorite quick service lunch option in Chicago. The options are flavorful, filling and fresh. The restaurants are all designed beautifully with lots of light and natural elements. You can also make your own kids plate. They have a changing table and a small stool in the bathroom to help kids use the sink too. Highly recommended!

We had great food! I got a wrap and my mother a bowl. Both were delicious. Everything was very fresh tasting! When we went the line had a Starbucks feel to it, like know what you want to order before you get in there vibe. So from that I assume they have a lot of repeat customers. The vibe inside is relaxing. It is quite clean inside too.

While I love Roti, I just had a poor experience with a manager named Lupe. She addressed me the way should address her employees. When she came to assist, it actually took her 3 tries to complete the transaction. Maybe she should work on learning the register instead of trying to teach customers how things work; since I don’t work there.

Healthy food, but not great price. I felt like they were stingy with the protein serving. When I asked for more, she added 2 more pieces of chicken and then tried to charge me for extra meat. Mostly bland vegetables for $10-15? Not impressed. Dining area is clean and well lit. Temperature of food and dining area is on the colder side.

Food quality was fine, but communicating with staff was like pulling teeth. I normally don't have to ask 3 separate people for a side of pita, nor have someone then ask if I was sure I don't want any pita. I promise I'm not trying to be a difficult customer, I just wanted some bread. If you can't hear me I'm happy to repeat myself.

WARNING: Roti recently changed their menu and removed many customer favorites, including the Mixed Vegetables, and Couscous. Used to love coming here, now I will never go again - the "new" items they have are terrible and not worth the price they charge.

First timer, the man who helped me was kind and patient. He walked me through the processes quickly and guided me to some great choices. The food was delicious and a pretty healthy option for fast food. The dining area and bathrooms were clean. Too cold to sit outside but the patio area looks nice.

Love the food, staff is great. Just be careful with the plastic forks and spoons as the quality didn’t seem to be great. The plastic not only bruised my lips, there were pieces of plastic peeling off the edge of the fork.

Very nice staff and beautiful new interior design. Roti has very good food but it is up to you to order correctly. Like Chipotle, you tell them what to put in your dish (salad, rice bowl, or pita/wrap). It is very quick, which is great when you're in a hurry and want some delicious healthy food.

Great healthy food, delicious sauces, great service and good music. The only problem is they limit you to 3 sauces max. I am a sauce man. They make you pay full price for the sauces after 3.

The menu says they have Israeli pickles but I tasted them and those are definitely Palestinian pickles. #SayNoToApartheid #FreePalestine

Used to be our go-to place for Mediterranean bowls, but they just started skimping on ingredients, forgetting rice in rice bowls, and let's just say this was our last order.

Good service but food is not that good. Falafel is not fresh and doea not look like falafel. Hummus is awful. Other salads and options are below average.

Paid 17$ on rice more than anything else. Whoever did my bowl acted like I was taking her last bite away.
