Title: A Captivating Journey into Artistic Expression at the Rubell Museum Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Review: My recent visit to the Rubell Museum was an extraordinary experience that left me in awe of the power of art and its ability to inspire and provoke thought. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported into a world of creativity, innovation, and artistic expression. The first thing that struck me was the museum's impressive collection. Spanning multiple floors and encompassing a wide range of mediums, styles, and artists, the Rubell Museum offers an eclectic and diverse selection that caters to all tastes and preferences. From contemporary art to thought-provoking installations, there was something to captivate every visitor. The curation of the artworks was exceptional. Each exhibit was thoughtfully arranged, allowing for a seamless and immersive experience. The layout of the museum ensured a smooth flow, guiding visitors through various themes and narratives. The attention to detail in presenting the artworks enhanced their impact, allowing for a deeper understanding and connection with the artists' intentions. One of the highlights of my visit was the interactive nature of some exhibits. The Rubell Museum encourages visitors to engage with the art, inviting participation and dialogue. This hands-on approach fostered a sense of connection and allowed for a more personal and meaningful experience. It was a refreshing departure from the traditional museum experience and created a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. The staff at the museum were knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about art. They were readily available to answer questions, offer insights, and provide additional information about the artists and their works. Their enthusiasm and dedication added an extra layer of appreciation and made the visit all the more enriching. Furthermore, the museum's facilities were top-notch. The galleries were spacious, well-lit, and thoughtfully designed to showcase the artworks. The amenities, including clean restrooms and comfortable seating areas, ensured a comfortable and enjoyable visit. In conclusion, the Rubell Museum is a hidden gem that deserves recognition for its commitment to showcasing thought-provoking and groundbreaking contemporary art. It offers an immersive and transformative experience, inviting visitors to explore new perspectives and engage with art on a profound level. The exhibit gorgeous. One of the attending personnel horrible. On our way out, the locker pad of the locker where I was instructed to leave my 14” by 8” bag (because it was too large) didn’t work and the young man had to bring a special key to open it. He interrogated me on the contents of my bag, the different objects I had inside, what my wallet had inside and the brand of my bag. That was on our way out. On our way in the reiterated questions were about why we didn’t want to pay extra for an exhibit we had already seen, and where we had seen it. We got a full interrogation on our way in and our way out. With an attitude. And while we were in, I saw several women with bags, one was a mother with a full diaper bag and other bags. We were not welcome, under a guise of exclusivity.

Just wow! It’s the best museum in Miami. Last Saturday we had reservation at Leku for Miami spice (it’s really good btw) and got surprised to find out about rubell museum just next door. We decided to go there just after our branch. I bought tickets online and our 4 years old daughter got the ticket for free. At the entrance we received a paper with pictures of the exhibited artworks to make exploring art for kids even more interesting. It was a game changer for my daughter and us. She was excited to do the quest and we were just enjoining the museum. The collection is fabulous! I love Kusama with her famous infinity room. Another artist who amazed me with her artworks was Casa von Zeipel. It’s incredible! Must see collection! Definitely recommend this museum to everyone who is visiting Miami or living here.

There are so many reviews about the fantastic collection, that I won't go into that, except to say that it's one of my favorite museums that I've ever visited. My 5 and 7 year old children loved the museum (I can't say the same for their visit to the Louvre!). The staff were outstanding! There are a lot of museums that scowl at kids and make them feel unwelcome, but the lady at the entrance gave my kids a big smile and enthusiastic welcome, and very KINDLY reminded them to experience the art with their hands not their eyes. Plus we had lovely chats with all the docents - very welcoming!

This was a surprisingly amazing Museum to visit. The individual entry was extremely reasonable as was the season membership pass, I believe it's $50 for the year as a member for unlimited visits and $15 per visit per individual if you don't purchase a membership. I was surprised how large the space was once inside, it does not seem like it is that big from the outside when you walk up to the front desk next to the restaurant. I liked the flow through the rooms that they set up and the long hallway which opened up into and enormous room with huge floor to ceiling sized art pieces.

Went here during the first day of Miami Art Week which meant BOA sponsored admission so it was free to access. Absolutely blown away by the awesome contemporary art exhibit with some of the most beautiful pieces I’ve seen rivaling collections anywhere in the world. Very unique pieces from local artists and others from around the world. Hard to describe in to words but I took some pictures to highlight the magnitude and breath of the collection. Easy to access via Santa Clara Metrorail as well.

Beautiful art museum. 10 out of 10. They even have a Kehinde Wiley in there. Do I need to say more? Because of this museum, Otis Kwambe is now a new favorite artists. Everyone go check out right away. It’s only $15. And they even offer a student discount. I also recommend paying the extra $10 for the optical illusions. Definitely worth it to get in the mirror room’s. They have 36 rooms full of artwork!!

This museum contained very diversified art forms from paintings to sculpture to photography to complex arts and crafts. Art for everyone, very visually appealing. Some provocative (not for kids). The prices are fair with an additional fee for a special exhibit(should be included in general admission). Gratis tours available. Parking relatively easy. Upscale restaurant on premises($$$). Gift shop.

Beautiful and well-curated museum. They have a wide range of art from different decades with mixed mediums. Really appreciated the descriptive placards next to the pieces to explain not only the artist, year, and medium, but also added info about inspiration for a ton of the artwork. Helped me get a lot more meaning out of the experience! Purchased the infinity rooms add on and those were great! This is a beautiful museum to explore.

It is a small museum of contemporary art. Very well maintained with good spaces and very well chosen works of art belonging to a family. After touring the museum, it is recommended to have dinner at the museum's Leku restaurant, which opens at 6 pm and which has, in addition to the terrace, a very nice outdoor bar surrounded by plants and lights.

One of the biggest private collections in the US and the biggest in the state, Rubell Museum was a place I was looking forward to go to and I’m glad I did it. The collection had a big variety of artists, techniques and concepts. They have a reasonable ticket price, as well as very good deals and memberships. If you’re looking to do something different, outside of the typical tourist areas, this place it’s great for you.

Great art museum with a thoughtful citation of contemporary artists. They have a beautiful cafe overlooking the water that is open to the public, even without museum admission, that I especially love. They also provide free entry for first responders, disabled, and low income individuals.

This is an amazing avant-garde Art collection. I visited twice and it was very rewarding as they rotate some of the art. We were very lucky to attend an impromptu operatic event hosted by Mrs Rubell herself. Highly recommended!

This was the coolest museum I have ever been to. The cost of admission is a little high but the art available is extremely cool and worth it. Much better than the Perez museum, you can walk around without a mask and parking isn’t $25 like it is at Perez. I wish I knew about this place before. Definitely coming again!

  • Nafis Azad

Beautiful restaurant, a gem of a collection tucked away near Wynwood. An eclectic mix of art with many original pieces from famous artists (Basquiat, Warhol) to lesser known local artists with a ton of talent as well. Not too busy at all which is refreshing. A must see for art aficionados living or visiting Miami.

Brand new Museum opening in December 2019, within the Miami Art Week. Remarkable collection and great museum. Definitely worth the visit, stunning artworks. The Museum is all in one floor, reconverted from storage warehouse. Couldn't find audio guides so hope in the future they will add to the museum visit.

  • Daniel Budd

Beautiful exhibits and very friendly staff. The restaurant looked great and I hope to try in the future. Yayoi Kusama’s work is incredible and was such an added surprise to the museum. The variety of artists showcased here provide a well rounded experience.

This minimalist massive museum is all about the collection of the Rubell family. If you are into contemporary art you know what to expect, if not I guess you can use the art as background for your selfies or just be shocked, scratch your head and wonder what the heck is all thus about. …

I felt like I had won the lottery finding this gem. Yayoi Kusama, Keith Haring, Takashi Murikami and great artists new to me. There are two infinity rooms. It was AWESOME!

Great contemporary art. A sweet spot to enjoy modern fine arts. I went to see Kusama and Wiley, and missed the latter without regret because I learned a whole lot more about the art of our time. Strongly recommend a visit here along with PAMM More

If you like contemporary art speaking to the current moment or that is pushing the edge of what is next, this museum is a must! I was pleasantly fascinated, nauseated and provoked--all in the best ways. There book store and library are top notch!

Their commitment to diversity and inclusion of featured works and artists is really evident. For the cost of entry, there's so much to see. I recommend paying the additional amount to experience the Kusama Infinity Rooms, it's so worth it!! More

Really loved The Rubell Museum with it's spacious rooms and different styles of Artists. Most of the Art Works are beautiful yet others made you think, isn't that what Art is all about! Definitely my favorite Museum here in Miami.

An incredible collection of contemporary works. From Keith to Yayoi to Kehinde, it’s a truly unique (and spacious) gallery. It’s so roomy that, at times, I felt like I was the only one in the museum. Highly recommend!

I loved it. It was very cool with a lot of art from major artist to more new comers. The only thing I would have done differently is provided more info for some artist like Keith Haring.
