    "I like this bakery"

"The staff at the Anderson location is super nice but you go to a bakery for the food and coffee which unfortunately is lacking - the baked goods are not good - chewy or plain hard - a croissant for instance must be flaky and soft - the chocolate one was all wrong inside and out, hard to believe is baked daily, the almond one no filling and chewy/hard"

"Second time coming here! The pastries are absolutely worth the price! And the coffee is very smooth too! I normally like my coffee on the sweeter side, yet I'm fine drinking it just like that! Very smooth and wonderful"

"This is genuinely the best Cafe I have ever eaten at, the food came out so quickly, tasted amazing and the staff were so polite to me"

Okay, in Austin we all know there’s an over saturation of hip and swanky coffee places to pick from. Typically, they’re all bark and no bite and you end up paying exorbitant prices for a cup of warm milk. But Russels is not like the others. Sure it’s a bit expensive, but the value you’re getting is worth every penny. Their coffee is rich and deep, they actually make latte art on the foam, and have a wonderful little bakery. Their baked goods are delicious too as I’ve tried their danishes and scones in the past. They always have holiday themed treats if you’re feeling festive, but really you should just take away that in an unsuspecting wal mart plaza there is really good, genuinely tasty coffee. It’s quiet and peaceful too, good place to work or study. My only qualm is I wish they were open later. Great job!

I like this bakery. But I was thrown off because when you walk in you encounter your bakery items in a case next to you for you to select on your own.  At least this way you get exactly the muffin or danish you want.  I suspect it speeds up service too, but I was there alone and cannot say. Last time I selected a cranberry muffin and pumpkin muffin.  The cranberries had just the right amount of tartness. The vote is still out on the pumpkin.  I'm going to try one more before forming a definitive opinion. I've also had the chocolate Danish and it was pretty good, although a tad heavy. I look forward to returning to Russell's to continue my bakery tastings.

The staff at the Anderson location is super nice but you go to a bakery for the food and coffee which unfortunately is lacking - the baked goods are not good - chewy or plain hard - a croissant for instance must be flaky and soft - the chocolate one was all wrong inside and out, hard to believe is baked daily, the almond one no filling and chewy/hard. The coffee was also terrible, we got a cold and a hot one and they tasted burnt. Overall very disappointing experience and it’s all too expensive for what it is.

Second time coming here! The pastries are absolutely worth the price! And the coffee is very smooth too! I normally like my coffee on the sweeter side, yet I'm fine drinking it just like that! Very smooth and wonderful. And the pastries, there is just about something for everyone. My favorite currently is the apple fritter, it's sweet, but not overly sweet like other places I go to. The nuts give it an extra crunch and flavor, and there are actually apples in there too. I can go on but it's really better if you go in yourself. 100% worth the price and 100% would recommend anyone to go in.

This is genuinely the best Cafe I have ever eaten at, the food came out so quickly, tasted amazing and the staff were so polite to me. The eclair I ordered as an appetizer was sweet and soft exactly as it should be! Sandwich was clean, well made, and didn't fall apart due to the wrapping, along with being amazing. Don't get me started on coffee, I drink it everyday and this cup blew my mind, i had the seasonal "It's a wonderful life", and it had a signature dark taste with a nice vanilla aftertaste, and not unbearably sweet! Could NOT recommend this place more if I tried.

Wandered into this cafe on my way to the tea house nearby. Decided to give it a shot since they were doing a soft opening. I was happily surprised that this place is so good! I got a chai latte with whole milk, it put all chai lattes I’ve had before to shame. Perfect level of sweetness and spice, and so rich. Also, their apple fritter was jam packed with apples and walnuts, super moist, and perfectly decadent. Best I’ve ever had. I will be back in a few days with my family to try more things. Thanks Russell’s!

2 steps in and was greeted with "we don't allow dogs"! 50°windy morning, 1st time EVER into a store I heard so much about. Me being the much calmer, patient, mature individual that I've evolved in to, stated "service dog". Ordered my $4.00 cup of coffee and went and sat with "Chico" by the front door. Luckily, my brother showed up and held onto my lil' guy till I finished preparing my cup. We left, but now I'm a bit apprehensive about going back. Too bad, the muffins looked sooo good too!

Had a great time at Russell's on Anderson Ln. Such a nice place to catch up on work, lovely Christmas melodies, not overcrowded. I ordered the Soup and Sandwich combo, tomato bisque was very good and the turkey club was great. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a chill experience and not be overwhelmed with fragrances, people and excessive menu options.

Great coffee and great pastries! Very nice chill vibe, perfect place to relax for a few hours on a hot summer afternoon. And amazingly friendly service - it's refreshing to see genuine smiles on everyone. I'll have to come back and try some of the lunch options as they all look delicious!

I have been enjoying a Pumpkin Muffin from Russell's every Monday for some time. The muffins are marvelous. Talk at my coffee meeting suggested (I thought) that the Pumpkin Bread and Muffins were a year round thing! Oh, would that it be so, I pray it is.

Welcome north Russell's Scored sandwiches at the soft opening. The Godfather came on foccacia and we orderd tje sous vide chicken on sour dough. Plenty of table space looks ready for my next work session. Parking was easy toward the corner.

  • Erika Hanson

Their lavender vanilla iced latte is sooo good! I don’t know if it’s the coffee or syrups they use but it’s not too sweet and has amazing flavor. Pastries are good too but I would ask for them warned.

  • Carolyn McGinty

Very good! The Caramel Mocha iced coffee was perfect and the chicken salad sandwich was delicious! Took a strawberry cream cheese danish with me! Service….excellent! Delightful bakery!

  • Beatriz Valdez

I'm so glad I tried Russell's! Their sweet cream cold brew is DELICIOUS - great coffee and just a touch of sweetness. They have a variety of pastries too! Highly recommend.

Came here on a whim, discovered a fantastic breakfast and lunch spot! Stellar baked goods, delicious coffee! It's a must go and weave into your breakfast/lunch rotation!

  • Brittany Dobson

Super friendly service! I had the carrot bran muffin which was delicious, and probably one of the better lavender matcha lattes I've had! I will definitely be back!

  • elysia cantu

This bakery is so cute and aesthetic! I had the Black Forest Mocha with oat milk and it was so delicious and creamy. The staff is super friendly and welcoming :)

Went in with a co-worker who was buying a drink, and a male employee decided to make fun of my weight. Unbelievably rude and unprofessional. F this place

  • Savannah Martinez

Nice little bakery & cafe with reasonable prices and delicious treats. I think it's really nice that they include an ingredients list at the front too.

  • GLASS Grinder

My plate and cup are empty and I'm still chillin. Nuff said... Super-strong espresso shots and two for one specials on Day old pastry …
