I've been treated by Dr. Bortnem for the past four years. I'm impressed. I've had periodontal disease for decades, so I alternate visits between Dr. Bortnem and a periodontist. The semi-annual deep cleanings I get from Jo at Dr. Bortnem's office are better than those I'd been getting at my Houston periodontist's office. When I broke a tooth, Dr. Bortnem was able to fit me with a permanent crown that he fabricated on-site during that single visit. I'm retired and have no dental insurance, so cost is important to me. Dr. Bortnem isn't "cheap," but I believe I'm getting good value for the dollars spent. His new facility on Rustic Woods is very nice. The staff is friendly and efficient. I'll definitely continue seeing Dr. Bortnem for my routine dental needs.

I have been feeling tooth sensitivity for the past year. I let Dr. Bortmen know and he dismissed it as simple tooth sensitivity. When I finally got dental insurance and was able to go to another dentist, they ran the x-rays and were able to show me evidence of what's going on with my tooth. It turned out that the filling I received in Dr. Bortmen's office 3 years ago is now pushing against my nerves which now leads me to get an unmerited root canal treatment. I think since Dr. Bortmen has an exuberant amount of experience he should have looked further into my tooth sensitivity. Maybe he didn't read my X-rays properly which leads me to suggest for him to be cautious in the subjects of dentistry.

I have never experienced the level of care and communication I received at Rustic Woods Dental From start to finish everyone was amazing. They retrieved my previous records from my old dental office, listened to my concerns, and texted me updates all before even stepping foot in the office! The level of care continued through my visit and they made special arrangements for me to get in for my next appointment. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. It is really overwhelming when you move and have to switch dentist but Rustic Woods Dental made it so easy and I really just can’t thank them enough.

Jo, the Hygenist who cleans my teeth, is extremely competent, thorough, and patient. The office staff is most capable, courteous, and helpful. Rustic Woods Dental is outstanding.

Been coming here for 10 years. I now come here with my child. We both enjoy the wonderful and friendly staff. They always make us feel like family and comfortable. We’ll continue to come here till we no longer can. Hopefully that won’t be for a very long time.

Staff is nice, friendly, and competent, but this dentist botched my root canal. My fault for allowing this dentist to perform a root canal (instead of an endodontist), but this one should not be performing root canals in the first place.

I had a crown replacement. It was a very comfortable experience due to an extremely competent dentist and dental assistant. Even though we moved my wife and I will continue to see Dr. Bortrem and his exceptional staff. Thank you. Alan S
