I pulled in to just get my ac recharged. Literally, the second Ray walked up to the car, and he stated that I was most likely the compresser, and it would most likely have to be replaced. He hadn't even looked at the car yet and was already trying to upsell me. Told me it would be 160 for the recharge, or 100 if the charge didn't work. Said fine and had him take it to the back. 15 minutes of fiddling around under the hood, he comes back in to reiterate that it was most likely the compresser. This master mechanic, this ruler of the ratchet, this sorcerer of the spanner, this God of gaping spark plugs, used his infinite knowledge to completely diagnose my vehicles issues with only two symptoms. Water under the car and the fact that my fans had continued to run for a few minutes after shutdown. Who am I to question the word of this adonis of a man, but my curiosity got the best of me. So I inquired if it was water or antifreeze, and if he had known that it was a turbo charged car and the fans running were, in fact, just the turbo timer doing its job? Apparently, being questioned by some lonely pleeb had angered this great man. He proceeded to actively avoid us for the next hour . Needless to say, the recharge held we paid our debt and were, no happier, to leave this shop. He had horrible customer service and was trying to upsell uneeded repairs constantly. Everyone else was courteous and professional. But I will not be recommending and, in fact, will actively tell people to avoid this place.

A while back I noticed my ball joint on the driver side was about to mess up badly. I had it fixed and went into S&S for an alignment after it was replaced. Mike showed me that the ball joint and other parts underneath the truck were all on the verge of failing. He gave me a quote for parts and labor and let me decide what I wanted to do. Of course, I took the quote and asked other friends and family I know of that deal with automotive work and tried to find what was best. I had someone give me a quote that was EXACTLY what Mike had told me. This proved that he wasn't trying to make money or rip me off and I knew this place could be trusted. They ended up working with me and I had a 5" Rough Country Lift installed, along with the parts that needed to be replaced. It' been almost two weeks now and I love it. No regrets at all going with this company. Sergio even called me recently to make sure I was still satisfied and doing okay. I can't thank them enough for everything they did, and I will always refer anyone I meet to these guys and will be returning for anything I need done in the future.

Dont come here, we came to have them check our truck, and the guy was like ok ill check it. Just leave it here. He didn't ask for our key. We turned back to give them to him. He did not seem concerned with our vehicle. The guy checked the car the next day because we left it overnight. The guy said there was a timing issue with a belt. He then said our whole engine is bad and needed replacement. He went for the most expensive problem rather than telling me what the actual problem was. He insisted on the problem being the engine, and we would need to pay 7 or 8 thousand dollars to replace it. I took my vehicle down the block for a second opinion because that was absurd. Upon leaving my vehicle at the second spot. They gave me a call and said my cars issue was a broken seal and could be fixed for 250$. While this S&S place wanted to milk me for money and try to throw me on a payment plan for engine replacement. Don't waste your time or money here.

I first came to this place a few months ago and the service was amazing! From being greeted the moment I walked in, to being fully taken care of til the moment I walked out. I originally went in for a leveling kit and some tires for my Jeep and was fully satisfied with the help and outcome. Recently had some suspension issues due to a minor pothole incident so I returned back here and the service was yet again over the top! In and out with no issues. My car was driving again like nothing ever happened. The entire team from the front desk, to the mechanics and management is so well in motion with one another so it makes everything so easy and welcoming! The one thing that blew me away was the phone call that came a few days later to check up and make sure the vehicle was running up to standard and that if it wasn’t for me to bring it back til it’s right! NOW that’s true service! Thank you, S&S!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND, S&S Tire & Auto. The whole staff is an awesome group of individuals. Very helpful, very knowledgeable, very hard working, and the customer service that they provide is something other shops should take notice of. I say this based on an experience I had up the street for some new tires. Waited around for an hour and a half because the person that was in charge of this simple task wasn't at the shop yet. So I took my money else where which was just up the street to S&S Tire & Auto, and the next thing you know, I have my new set of 35's on my truck. I called the other shop to see if the person in charge was in yet, and no, he wasn't at his shop yet. Ever since that, I've been a loyal customer because S&S has been more than honest and loyal to my auto needs. I take all 3 of my vehicles to these guys. Thanks, S&S Tire & Auto. Keep up the hard work. Other shops take notes.

I waited a few weeks to write this review to see if I would have any problems with my lift kit I had installed. I had zero problems mecanically with the install. The service was better than most shops around the city. You don't have that feeling that they are going to try to rake you over the coals for any of their services which is refreshing. The owner kept in constant contact with me during the installation and the price was excellent for the service they provided. They allow you to bring your own parts and have them installed where as most "custom" shops wont because they want to try to upsell you on their overstocked inventory. If you are looking for a reasonable shop with honest people and great service. I would give these guys a shot.

If you’re looking for an honest tire and brake shop, then you need to go to S & S. I took my F150 to the dealership I purchased it at and they told me I needed all four rotors and brakes replaced and another mechanic told me the same. I was recommended by a friend to S & S and even though it’s 40 minutes from my home it was totally worth it since they told me I only needed to replace the two rear rotors and brakes. I also bought new tires since their prices were better than several other quotes I got around town. These guys have the Best service and best prices!

I’m so glad that I found S&S tire shop I took my truck into another shop to have them replace my alternator and I was told they would get to it in 3 to 4 hours. I needed my truck running because of my work. I walked into S&S and asked how long of await and they informed me that they could start on it right away. Now my truck is back up and running and I can continue my work today I will becoming back for any future issues my truck or my wife’s car might have. The staff was very professional. I would highly recommend S&S tire shop.

Highly recommended! If you live in San Antonio y’all probably know Rick. He is very reliable, friendly and very professional. We are from Austin and my car needed a bolt to be extracted from the AC compressor. It's labor day weekend I went to 3 different mechanic shops and no one could help me until I called S&S Auto Service and took my car to them. Rick was the mechanic I spoke with and thank god he was able to fix my car for us to get back home. I highly recommend them!

Not only did they quickly, efficiently, and excellently adjust my alignment a few months back, but most recently changed my car battery. While it may seem like a quick easy fix I had been to several locations who sent me away due to a missing wheel lock. I stopped by, and within 20 minutes, their excellent mechanic had my battery changed without needed the wheel lock. So pleased and grateful. Totally recommend for the best service and kindest employees.

Great customer service! The staff was very helpful.. We went by and spoke with the staff as well as Segio all very helpful! When we decided on what we wanted Sergio ordered and called when the tires arrived, we scheduled for Wednesday after work, we got stuck in traffic and communicated with them and they waited. They close at 6 pm we arrived at 535pm and were taken care of and gone before 6pm!! Definitely will return in the future!

Mark & Sergio are honest, hard working, and def. experts in their craft. Alignment was recommended from Firestone and came here to get it fixed, bc they are affordable. However, I was informed that everything was A okay and alignment was not needed after all. Genuine people who aren’t out here to take your money, but provide outstanding service every time. This is the equivalent of a traditional "Mom and Pop Shop". They treat you like family and will remember you the next time you show up. Took my daughter to get tires (lower price than a larger tire shop) and they remembered me even though I have not been there in a few months. I usually take my truck here for anything. Not just a tire shop but will get anything you need done to your vehicle.

Great place! Clean, friendly, fast! They put in the lift I brought them and got some nice tires on payments. Only 4 stars cause I asked if they were sure these tires would not rub. They do just very slightly. I am still VERY pleased though. Just had to overnight some wheel spacers and do some body cutting that I didn’t expect to do till the distant future.

Very friendly service with good attitudes! I told the associate of what I needed (tire replacement). The associate gave me two options, either a new tire or a used tire. I gave him my choice, he showed me what he was going to do to replace the tire, and it took him up to 20 minutes to complete his job. The associates here love their jobs and it shows.

finding a reputable shop that I can trust to work on my 1969 Mustang is very tough. the customer service, knowledge and open communication with the mechanics at SS Tire and Auto is top notch. The owner and the staff are skilled, up-front and work on a wide band of vehicles. they will be my primary shop for my 1969 mustang and my 2020 mustang gt.

I reached out to Sergio, the Owner, pertaining to issues with my BMW. He was quick to respond over the Thanksgiving Holiday’s. He put me in touch with Mark and he was awesome. He evaluated my car, made his suggestions and offered payment options. My car was fixed thoroughly within a couple of days. I am definitely going back.

I came to get a new tire that I couldn’t find many places. They went out of their way to go and pick up my tire and replace it for half the price anyone I called around to would have.
