The practice has been sold to a Dr. Patel. I can't comment on them - as I never actual worked with any of them - but I will take a moment to comment on my first and only experience post the "transition" to new ownership - an experience which was subpar to say the least. I had been a patient of Dr. Wall for 4 years. I travel frequently and was on a long wait list (nearly 2 months) for an overdue checkup/cleaning. I circled a specific date and time and arranged my schedule to be in town for the appointment. When I arrived the receptionist nonchalantly told me they no longer accepted my insurance and advised me to look for a new dentist who did "We no longer accept your insurance, but there are plenty of dentists in the area that do. Have a nice day." WHAT?!?! To say I was angry / annoyed would be an understatement given the circumstances. I politely complained after the fact but did not receive any response at all at least acknowledging the incident so here I am! They said they left a voice message - whether that is true or not I'm not sure as I didn't receive any message. What I do know for a fact is that I spoke to someone on the phone who called me less than one week ahead of the appointment - someone who confirmed the appointment - and there was no mention of insurance. Truly a complete pain and a total waste of time (and money) given the time off of work and travel to accommodate an appointment that never happened. Thanks and good luck ...

Yesterday, I was eating and part of my tooth fell out. I haven’t been to a dentist in years because of the anxiety it causes me, which is why my tooth fell out. I heard good things about Dr. Walls practice and called. They got me in right away. Walking up, the old home (office) is warm and welcoming. The yard is peaceful and well taken care of. It calmed me immediately. The front office staff was organized and polite. Such a comfort from the very first interaction. Dr. Wall was patient, reassuring, and willing to do whatever I needed to get me through the dental work necessary. His assistant, Jose, is equally fantastic with decades of experience. It made me able to relax a bit knowing they knew what they were doing. Every employee worked well together and the whole office is very efficient. This was the most pleasant dental visit I’ve ever had! I’m not nervous to go back. I’m excited to find a place I can feel comfortable and to take my family. Thank you, Dr. Wall, Jose, and staff. The staff at Gentle Family Dentistry really live up to their name! The staff and Dr. Wall truly strive in making your experience there a memorable one. The minute I walked in, I was greeted and briefed on their COVID policy. Office is super clean, and it’s obvious they follow that policy 100%. My procedure could t have went better than it did! I have to say I was truly worried that I’d be in pain the entire time. The hygienist, Katherine (if I remember correctly) set the right expectations regarding the procedure, and was sincere about my comfort. Dr. Wall used finesse when giving my my numbing injection, which was my biggest fear. I have already recommended three friends and their families to Gentle Family Dentistry! I was elated to find a new dentist for yearly check ups. I booked my first new patient appointment on June 1st, at 10am. I As I entered the practice, I was greeted right away and asked for my first and last name. A young lady was unable to find my name and asked me to grab a seat as she researched. I was advised that my appointment was scheduled for June 29. I knew this was false as I will be out of town that day… I understand that mistakes are made, but I had made certain that this particular day was selected as I had taken vacation time to attend the appointment. I work Monday through Friday 8 to 5 business hours and have to schedule to have routine check ups. I verified on not one but two different platforms where I put my appointment date and time. I will not be returning solely based off of the inability to secure and enter appointments into their systems accurately.

I am updating my review since Dr. Patel has taken over the clinic. I had an aching tooth for 5+ years and went to two dentists that told me their was nothing on the x-ray and the tooth was fine. I mentioned it to Dr. Patel and within minutes he pinpointed a fracture in my back molar which was the source of the aching. This man has improved my quality of life. I did not realize how much pain and inflammation my body was suffering from this tooth. He performed the root canal! In the past, I had a root canal but my dentist had to send me to another dentist to do the actual root canal. Not with Dr. Patel. In my opinion, he's the best dentist I have ever been to and I appreciate the skill he had in basically making the procedure as PAINLESS as possible. My husband worked in medicine for 32 years as a Physicians Assistant in a Private Family Medicine office and the final years of of profession he spent caring for Veterans in A VA Hospital. His experience clinically, He was involved doing many medical procedures. Now retired for the past 15 years, he's had many dental procedures, both in the USA and in Mexico. 24 hours ago he had a molar extracted by Dr Wall. He said Without doubt it was the most incredibly wonderful time he has ever experienced (if that's possible) by a Dentist. Dr. Wall topped them all. He said he never experienced any dental procedure that he felt NOTHING, NO PAIN WHATSOEVER. Dr. Wall was incredibly gentle and his Technician Jose was terrific as well. Need a Dentist? I have been a patient with Dr Wall for a couple years now and today he lost me and my family and any future referrals. It is never a feeling of respect when you go to a dentist to have a severe pain needing to be corrected/fixed and in stead of relief my suffering must continue because there are painters coming. I expect professionalism and two way respect when it comes to solving unfortunate and unique experiences. It’s not the fault of the patient when the doctor is placing the advancement of his practice above one patient. This is unfortunately not the only experience that I have had to accept a just good enough service from this office. I will not bring or trust this office with the future care of me or my family.

I loved Dr. Wall and was very nervous when I found out he was moving on to a new chapter, but decided to give Dr. Patel a chance to earn my business. Well, he did just that! Integrity means everything to me. I have a tooth I cracked almost 20 years ago and it was bothering me. Dr. Patel thought it would require a root canal, up once he started working on it, he discovered it did not need one. He could have done one anyway and I wouldn’t have been the wiser. He so polite and such a pleasure, but more importantly, when he numbs you, he takes his time (just like Dr. Wall) and you don’t feel like someone is trying to drill you into the ground! He has earned my business and gratitude! Thank you Dr. Patel!

Great experience (as far as dental visits go)! I am a new patient and was experiencing significant pain and I was scheduled the same day... 3 hours after my call. The staff was super welcoming and kind. I had to bring my 2 young children which was obviously not ideal but no one made any mention of it and they were respectful toward them as well. Dr. Wall was able to identify the source of pain and make a plan to correct it. Also, a huge thing for me after coming from a "strip center dentist" is that the cost made sense here. They didnt present me with a $500 plan of care for a filling... instead it was $60. Really glad I found a dentist we can trust, my husband will be a new patient as well :)

The people in billing provided wrong information to and about insurance. They billed my insurance for services they didn't provide. And, when trying to get me to commit to various procedures, they told me that my insurance coverage max is $3000. It is not. It is $1200. Had I not caught the error, I would have been responsible for the additional $1800. (Note that they make you sign a form at the start saying you'll be responsible for everything your insurance refuses. This not only gets them off the hook, it seems to encourage them to play fast and loose with billing.) The dentist aggressively recommended unnecessary or preemptive services and argued with me when I declined.

I was weary of getting a local anesthetic injection for a cavity fill during my last visit, but Dr. Wall was very patient and assured me it would be fine. Indeed, it was painless. He has always answered any questions I may have in depth, he is skillful and quick, and offers services at a very affordable cost. You can tell everyone enjoys what they do. The hygienist was very gentle but diligent during my cleaning as well. Everyone is very nice and caring. The home-y atmosphere and quality employees definitely takes the pressure off of going to the dentist. I have been coming here for years and have referred many family members who’ve also had a great experience.

Had to cancel first appointment after poor first impressions. I get its Monday and probably a busy start to the week but I had some online forms I needed to complete that wouldn’t actually submit. I couldn’t tell what prevented it from being submitted. So when I called the office I was put on hold for about 15 minutes, when the receptionist came back on the line the call was dropped. I immediately called back and was surprised to find there was no alternative to submitting new patient forms. I’m sure the dentist is great from what I see in reviews but I have to go with my instinct and cut out early if it’s this difficult to get started at an office.

I finally found my new dentist . I am very picky when it comes to a dentist or doctor, im pretty sure many people are because its your health. Well after going to 4 different dentist offices , i never thought i was going to find one after all the bad experiences i had . Well this place is awesome! Everyone is nice , especially dr.brent wall hes the best! I was so afraid after experiencing pain at my previous dentist. Well he made me laugh and feel comfortable, also his assistant she was very friendly and comforting. I felt no pain whatsoever! He is very gentle and takes his time. I was so impressed with my visit from the time I was met at the front door until the time I was out the door! I Felt as though I were treated as a family member rather than just another patient. I am very sincere in saying that it was A pleasant experience. I did not experience that from my dentist in Virginia. Dr. Patel was very professional and compassionate when working on replacing some old fillings. I explained that I had anxiety because of my childhood dentist who drilled on my teeth before I was numb. I was traveling for business to San Antonio and I started experiencing tooth pain. I called around on a Saturday and no one was able to get me in right away. Dr Patel called me back and offered to come in on his day off and opened the office just for me. He took care of my tooth pain and I am very appreciative of him. Even though Dr Patel knew that I would not be a potential long term patient he did not hesitate to help me out. I wish him the best with his practice. Thank you.

The service is always excellent. I was able to get in quickly and had my problem fixed on the same day. It would be nice if the staff had name tags or at least introduced themselves. There might be a health issue when wearing a name tag right now. I'm not sure. The staff was very cautious about protecting the patients and themselves. However, it's Texas, we like to still say Hello, and know the names of the people taking care of us. I highly recommend Dr.Wall and his staff.

I have seen many dentists in the past but hands down Dr.Patel is the most honest and caring dentist I have ever met. He is very empathetic and listens to my concerns .none of my previous dentists were able to fix an issue I had for many years and Dr.Patel not only aptly diagnosed it but also fixed it promptly. And the best part was his fees are half the other dentist around town. He has me as a patient for life. I drive 45 minutes to see him and will continue to do so.

Blessed to have come across Dr. Brent Wall's dental practice! After terrible experiences with a dentist as a kid I neglected my dental health. I found Dr. Wall while doing a search online and I'm never turning back. I have a positive outlook thanks to him and his team. Dr.Wall and his amazing hygienist are the bomb! Excuse my 90s slang but seriously, it's the only way to explain how awesome they are. I actually feel asleep once while getting a pretty painful procedure done becasue they were that gental. I had to take my daughter with me to an appointment once and the office manger actually took her and played with her the whole time I was there. Can't say enough great things about them.

Dr Wall saved my bacon recently. He did a re evaluation for me after it was suggested by another practice, very close and across the highway, told me I needed 7 crowns. He kindly educated me why I did not need any crowns at this time and when or if the time comes to needing any. We are changing our whole family over to his practice. The front desk staff and his assistant Jose were all so kind and professional.

Recently moved to San Antonio. I found Dr. Wall and the staff professional and efficient. I had a 20 year relationship with my previous dentist. I searched for some time and was unhappy with the first dental office I visited in San Antonio. I have complete confidence in Dr. Wall and his staff. Christina, the hygenist, was very good and the dreaded teeth cleaning experience was great.

The people are so kind and do a great job of providing a comfortable environment while they take care of your teeth. However, the best part for me is when getting my cavity’s filled the numbing shots were not painful at all! I’ve had numbing shots at a different dentistry that did cause a great sting, but here they did great! They truly are amazing and are great their job :)

My husband and I have been going to Dr Wall and associates for routine dental exams and dental care for several years. Location is convenient and staff is extremely helpful and will schedule emergency exams if necessary. They are affordable and accept Care Credit and Dental Insurance. Highly recommend Dr Wall and his associates for outstanding service.

This office always offers the friendliest, great, service. Today my hygienist recommended a fluoride application. It wasn't covered by my insurance but was only 25 dollars. When I went to brush my teeth tonight they were a good shade whiter and the application helps with sensitivity as well. I will be getting this with every checkup.

The practice has been sold to a Dr. Patel and his wife. They have also obtained another location on Nacogdoches Rd. near MacArthur High. My visit today was for a cleaning and to meet the new owners. As of of now I can not speak to the doctors skills, but the atmosphere seems much the same as when owned by Dr. Wells and his staff.

My appointment went very well. I was greeted with a smile and checked in by one of the office worker. I was taken to a room where a dental assistant cleaned my teeth and another worker fixed my partial that had a rough edge. All in all my appointment went very well.
